Heritage of U.S. - A US History Podcast
The 1950s and Early 60s
The Boomers (including me) look back on the 50s and early 60s with some understandable fondness. Afterall, we were pretty much the center of attention from every part of American culture at the time. Everything from TV to medical advancements to newly built schools and neighborhoods to cars and supermarkets were all about meeting the needs and wants of the 76 million Boomer children. We will consider these trends, along with some not so fun aspects of this period.
If you want to have a fuller background to the material in our series, please consider purchasing the workbook I wrote for my high school history classes, Modern United States History, published by Canon Press, in Moscow, Idaho. But whether you get the workbook or just listen, I think you will enjoy the stories and hopefully gain some insights into U.S. history, which is indeed His story!
Thanks for listening - Tom Garfield
