Heritage of U.S. - A US History Podcast

Overview of 1965-1979

Season 1 Episode 33

Text us your questions!

The second half of the 1960s could hardly have been more different than the first half if we had actually tried! Whatever ‘innocence’ we had from the 50s and early 60s was over - the Boomers were growing up (or at least older), JFK had been murdered, the Vietnam war was fast becoming a flash point of contention here at home, and drugs, sex and rock and roll were the hallmarks of the rising generation.

If you want to have a fuller background to the material in our series, please consider purchasing the workbook I wrote for my high school history classes, Modern United States History, published by Canon Press, in Moscow, Idaho. But whether you get the workbook or just listen, I think you will enjoy the stories and hopefully gain some insights into U.S. history, which is indeed His story!
