Heritage of U.S. - A US History Podcast

The Disaster of Vietnam (Part I)

Text us your questions!

So how did the most powerful military on earth and arguably in the history of the world, lose a war to a largely agrarian-based, tiny tropical country with almost primitive weapons and fighting techniques? The fathers of the young U.S. soldiers who were drafted and sent to this small Asian country had won the greatest war in history just twenty years earlier, too. We will try to make some sense or at least consider the thinking, actions and results of the U.S. politicians and military leaders that led to the U.S. getting entangled in what became our most divisive war since the War Between the States.

If you want to have a fuller background to the material in our series, please consider purchasing the workbook I wrote for my high school history classes, Modern United States History, published by Canon Press, in Moscow, Idaho. But whether you get the workbook or just listen, I think you will enjoy the stories and hopefully gain some insights into U.S. history, which is indeed His story!
