Welcome to GenX Classic Sports, the podcast where we revisit the unforgettable athletes, teams, and moments that shaped our sports memories growing up.

On June 4, 1974, a simple ballpark promotion turned into one of the wildest nights in sports history. When the Cleveland Indians offered ten-cent beers during a game against the Texas Rangers at Cleveland Municipal Stadium, more than 25,000 fans showed up—and drank tens of thousands of beers. What followed was chaos: streakers, flying debris, players defending themselves with bats, and ultimately a full-blown riot that forced umpires to forfeit the game.

In this episode of GenX Classic Sports, we relive the unbelievable story of Ten Cent Beer Night—the most infamous promotion in baseball history. ⚾
