38. My Story of Loss
What did you think of this episode?
In this episode of Resilient with Jessica Boarman, I begin sharing my grief story; not all at once, and not in full detail, but by slowly introducing the losses that have shaped my life over time.
Loss didn’t arrive for me in a single moment. It came in chapters. From my first experience with death as a teenager, to losing my granddad, to the devastating loss of my youngest brother Justin to suicide, and later walking through the illnesses and deaths of both of my parents.
This episode is an overview and the start of a series. I don’t dive deeply into each loss just yet, but instead create space to name them, honor them, and reflect on how grief accumulates and changes us over time.
If you’ve ever felt confused by your grief, unsure how to carry it while the world keeps moving, or hesitant to share your story because parts of it feel sacred or tender—this episode is for you.
My hope is simple: that you feel less alone as you listen.
