40. What My Dad Taught Me About Faith When Life Isn’t Fair

Jessica Boarman Season 4 Episode 4

What did you think of this episode?

In this episode, I share the story of my dad and the quiet, steady faith he lived out through a life marked by hardship and loss.

From losing his leg at a young age, to later losing his son and my mom, my dad knew what it meant to walk through seasons that felt deeply unfair. And yet, through it all, he remained faithful. His life has always reminded me of the Book of Job…a story of suffering, honesty, and faith that stays even when answers don’t come.

We’ll talk about his legacy, the lessons he taught me in his final days, and what it looks like to choose goodness and faithfulness even in the middle of pain.

If you’re walking through grief or loss, I created a Bible study called Held Through the Hurt to walk with you.
