
Aniqa Shah, PhD
Aniqa Shah is a PhD candidate at the University of Arizona, specializing in literacy with a minor in Second Language Acquisition and Teaching (SLAT). Her research interests include bilingual literacy development, equity and justice in second language acquisition, technology-mediated teaching, digital literacy, linguistic power and hegemony, and the intersection of cognition and language. With over 15 years of teaching experience across various grade levels, both internationally and in the United States, she is dedicated to advocating for holistic teacher education. As part of this commitment, she is particularly interested in how technology can enhance teaching practices to better meet the needs of diverse, multilingual learners.
