Aniqa Shah, PhD
Dr. Aniqa Shah is an Assistant Professor at the University of Central Arkansas. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Arizona in literacy, with a minor in Second Language Acquisition and Teaching (SLAT). Her research sits at the intersection of cognition and language, exploring bilingual literacy development, digital and technology-mediated learning, and questions of equity, power, and justice in second language acquisition.
With more than 15 years of teaching experience spanning grade levels and classrooms both in the U.S. and abroad, she is a committed advocate for holistic teacher education — and especially curious about how technology can be harnessed to meet the needs of diverse, multilingual learners.
