In the meantime, here's a sneak peek where some of my guests talk about getting those first jobs after graduation.

Nicole

I don't know about you, Megan, but when you come out of school you're also like, you just need a job. You need a job immediately you realize there's goals and there's dreams, and there's also the need to eat.

Susan

I'd had the dream of living and working in London. So I tried and I tried for sales jobs but none of those things worked and the job that I eventually got was not really because of my degree, but because I'd spent five years working in Woolworths,

Ben

speaking of trial and error like a lot of people who graduate college, your first job. You go out there and you get sold a bill of goods of what you're doing and you find out very quickly you end up in a sales position. Under a different title, under a different name.

Shemina

I went to the final round and I didn't get it and I was devastated and literally was like, I don't know what I'm gonna do with my life. My brother-in-law, he's like, well, we're looking for people. Why don't you just come and hang out and just, you know, shadow us for a day and see if it's something you'd wanna do. And so I was like, you know what, I'm just gonna try it. And I'll do this while I look for other true consumer marketing opportunities.

Rob

Well, some of the needs must and I didn't really know what I wanted to do, but I knew that applying for graduate training programs would be great if you could get into a good business. But I didn't have that mark instantly. I mean, it was so old fashioned.

Velera

During the summers of college, I interned at a company that I eventually got an offer from once I graduated, but I decided to relocate to. Detroit, Michigan at the time I had family there. And so that meant going from having a job already lined up from school to basically starting from scratch.
