Hello and welcome to Pisces Moon Astrology. I'm your astrologer, kate Leonard, and I'm excited to explore the stars with you. Hi everyone, what a week, what a week. We are talking about October 27th through. We're going to go just a little bit over the week this time. We're going to go through October 3rd. Because why? Because Mars finally goes into exact opposition with Pluto, and that's that thing we've been gearing up for for a really long time. Well, it's here, it's really here, but that's not all that's here. We've got a lot to talk about.
Speaker 1:I have to say I actually had a little bit of trouble when I was sitting down to work on this week's episode, because, of course, the big thing on everybody's mind every astrologer is talking about, you know, the big kaboom that happens on November 3rd. That's when Mars goes into its first of three exact oppositions with Pluto. This one's very, very important because it's the only one that's going to be while Pluto is at that crucial 29th degree of Capricorn. I've talked about this for the last couple of weeks because we've had other things going on, other relationships to Pluto while he's in that degree, and so that's part of what made sitting down to work on this episode a little difficult. In a way, I feel like we've already been talking about this right Like, even though it's going exact on the third, we've had squares to Pluto and all kinds of things happening. Just last week we had the sun square Pluto, and so this energy is nothing new.
Speaker 1:At this point, I'm not saying it's easy, I'm not saying the fact that we've been going through it makes it easy, but I think it's familiar. My client phone calls and friend and family phone calls have been just out of control for the last couple of weeks, with people talking about the breakups and the arguments and the, you know, all kinds of out of control emotions and just all kinds of stuff. And don't get me wrong, we're not done, we are so not done. But as I was getting ready to talk about it yet again Mars in Cancer, pluto in Capricorn I realized there's other stuff going on this week too, and it's not small either. So what I'd like to do, if you will bear with me, is I'd like to go through some of the more positive things and hold on to your hats, people who know me. I am like to go through some of the more positive things and hold on to your hats, people who know me, I am going to say good things about. Wait for it. Neptune, oh my gosh, did you ever think? Did you ever think I was going to lead with that? Well, I am.
Speaker 1:I've actually got a few things that I want to talk about before we get to Pluto and Mars yet again, and they are three really nice trines. Let me line these up for you. Here We've got Mars in Cancer trining, neptune in Pisces on the 28th, then on the 31st happy Halloween, happy Samhain, whichever kind of thing you celebrate, let's do it all right. On the 31st we've got Mercury trining Neptune and then, if that's not enough of the crazy trine energy going on, then we've got Mercury trine Mars on November 2nd. Okay, so that's Mercury, mars and Neptune all doing this wild dance of trines to each other, which I actually think is very, very interesting. And I also think it's interesting that all of these very, very positive aspects are happening the few days as we lead into this giant nuclear, explosive Mars opposition to Pluto. So let's break this down. Our first trine, like I said, is on October 28th. This is going to be Mars moving into this very harmonious aspect with Neptune. This is awesome energy. Now, I wouldn't like it if it weren't a trine, right, if it weren't a trine I'd be trashing Neptune all over the place, but because it's a trine, we actually get some good stuff going on. Mars is fire, mars is passion, mars is that warrior spirit and when that's good it's warrior for a good cause, right, warrior for a noble cause that might be. You know, that'll depend which cause. Depends on which house you have cancer in, okay, so you got to look at that. It might be for yourself if that's house one or family house four, on and on, right, all right. And Neptune is in Pisces.
Speaker 1:Neptune is creativity, right, he rules things, anything that has to do with illusion. You know all that stuff I don't like about him, that deception and lying and all of that kind of stuff that goes with him when he's good. That's stuff like acting and writing fiction, because those things are quote, see me doing the bunny ears lying too, right, like fiction is not true and I get it. That's not really a lie, but you see what I mean. You see how that all comes together in Neptune. So, any kind of creativity. Mars is going to light a fire under it, and if you're not a writer or an actor or any of those kinds of things.
Speaker 1:I don't want you to think this leaves you out. We are all creative in our lives, right? Creative thought, creative energy, that creative spirit, whether you're a content creator, a marketer, whether a student. Right, learning subjects in creative ways, making creative use of what you're learning A family member, getting more creative with your kids. So when I go on my little rants, I have a lot of artist and writer friends You've probably guessed that already. I'm a writer myself, so and a lot of content creator people in my life. So it's really easy for me to pull from those examples. But please don't feel like you're not part of that if you don't fall into one of those sort of more typical creative categories.
Speaker 1:Creativity is just how we live life, right, if we're really going for the gusto I know that's such the cliche, right, but I can't think of what else to say we're really going for it. We're probably living creatively right. The other thing is right. The other thing is Neptune is also spiritual union, all right. Deep spirituality he's that. The ocean, right, that place of pure spirit. And Mars is the fire of creation. So if you've been wanting to deepen your spiritual life, your spiritual practices, this is a brilliant, brilliant aspect for that. So I am loving everything about this trine. Okay, I'll tie this all in. I want us to keep in mind we're leading up to that very dramatic opposition, but we're going into it with a lot opposition, but we're going into it with a lot, with all of this creative fire behind us. So keep that kind of in mind as we move forward.
Speaker 1:Okay, so the next trine happens on the 31st and that's the Mercury trine Neptune. So now we're talking our ideas, our mind, our communication, right, but I want to just take a little half step back. I hope I'm not making this confusing. On the 30th, so the day before this very cool trine, mercury is going to oppose Uranus. Mercury is going to be in very deep fixed water Scorpio and Uranus is going to be in fixed earth Taurus Fixed signs are the ones that are very stable, that don't move.
Speaker 1:Taurus is the most stubborn. Can I say that I'm a Taurus ascendant? Maybe I've been called stubborn in my life. Anyhow, fixed earth is that it's like a rooted tree, like an ancient redwood right that is deeply rooted in the ground. Notice, there aren't a lot of them walking around right, they don't move. This is brilliant energy as far as having stick to it and making things real. Scorpio is often called the ice princess, because fixed water is what Ice. So water is about emotion and, yes, deep feeling. But to get to that deep emotion in Scorpio, we sometimes have to chip through that facade of ice, right, we sometimes have to take our time before we get to that.
Speaker 1:Now here's the interesting thing. We've got all of this fixed energy for this opposition, right? But Mercury doesn't like to be fixed. Mercury doesn't like to hold still at all. It's like darting all over the place.
Speaker 1:I have an idea, I want to talk, I want to meet people. Think of Gemini energy and Uranus, the freedom lover. Right, uranus, the blow it up, make it go, boom. Let's have unexpected stuff, let's rebel and fight for our freedom, right? And they're in these fixed signs. So what are they doing? They're unfixing them, especially during the opposition with Uranus. So Mercury is going through this very big unfixing. It's being sort of blown open with fresh ideas and new ways of thinking. And, yeah, you've had certain concepts or ideas or whatever stuck in your head for a while and it's going to be like boom, maybe we need to challenge some of this.
Speaker 1:Then, the very next day we go into this trine, mercury with Neptune, neptune's in Pisces, that's on the 31st. So all of those new ideas, now meeting with Neptune, who's about that same creativity, spirituality, all of that. And so now we get this sort of freshness that we're bringing to whatever we were probably just getting that spark of from Mars, right. So we had Mars-Neptune. We get the spark, we get Mercury-Uranus, new ideas. Now Mercury-Neptune, that spark that we had just a couple of days ago. Now we're putting some thought into it.
Speaker 1:Right Now the ideas are like, okay, that thing I wanted to do or that idea I had, let me get creative and let me put some actual thought in this. Let me start outlining some plans, you know. But now you're going to have Mercury, thought, conscious mind all fired up with this new energy and Neptune, the sort of feeling, intuitive side of us, right, they're going to be combining into this whatever it is. For some of us it will be literally art projects, new writing projects, new marketing campaigns for our businesses, new content for our whatever it is we're doing online, right. And for others it'll just be I say just, I don't mean just at all. It'll be real life, you know, new ways of dealing with our children, new plans for how to move forward, those creative ideas with our kids, with our families, with our lovers in our jobs. New ways, new ideas about how to make our jobs better, do our jobs better, propose new ideas to the boss that are going to be like mind-blowing right. And now we've got this intuitive feeling Neptune and this conscious thinking Mercury all ready, you know, to combine the best of both and get these feelings and thoughts put into action.
Speaker 1:And, like I said for my literal writer, artist, actor, kinds of friends out there, y'all should just be smoking hot this week. That's what I've got to say. But we all will be, we really all will be. Then I really do, I both love and am dreading this week. It's really so hard to do this episode because there's so much good and yet in the back of my mind, you know, I'm hearing Mars opposition to Pluto, mars opposition to Pluto, okay, but we're not there yet. We've got one more great trine, and it's the day before the Mars opposition to Pluto, on November 2nd. We've now got Mercury We've just talked about what Mercury's been up to and Mars. We were just talking about what Mars is up to. They are now going to trine each other, okay, so they both pull out of their trines with Neptune and make this great aspect to each other.
Speaker 1:This, you guys, is our brains on fire, and in a good way, right? This is like I said. I mean, this is just all a piece. These three trines are coming together as sort of a single piece Ideas and inspiration and new thinking and creativity and problem solving and all that kind of stuff. It is beyond fantastic. I'm loving it, and if you just heard like weird noises in the microphone, it's because I'm so excited that I'm flailing my hands around and I just hit the microphone. So I'm sorry if I like blew out your ears or something like that. I hope I didn't. Anyway, this is super good. Communication is going to be flowing, ideas are going to be flowing, creativity is going to be flowing, we're going to be fired up and all of that is very, very good. Yes, it is. It really is Okay, and I want you to use it, even though, in the middle of all of this stuff, we are already.
Speaker 1:You guys, we've been in this Mars-Pluto thing for a long time. I mean at least a few weeks. I know I've been talking about Pluto for a few weeks. We probably were feeling it even before then, because Pluto is such a heavy hitter right that energy is really present for a long time. While we're going through all of this great stuff this week, we are moving closer and closer and closer to the Mars-Pluto opposition and as much as I'm, you know, having fun with you all and sharing some positive aspects, I don't want to downplay how tough this could be for some of us.
Speaker 1:What I am hoping we can take away from, and why I decided to start the podcast this week with these positive trines, is I'm hoping that these are giving us the tools we need to get through the Pluto thing as best we can right. So it's going to be coming up. It's not like we're going to be having this great trine, trine, trine, energy and then kaboom goes Pluto. It's not like that. We're going to be having kaboom trine, kaboom trine. You know, like I think we could make a little dance routine to it if we really put some thought into it with all of our creative energy. It's going to be going on all at the same time.
Speaker 1:So what I'm hoping is that we can one find enough joy and positivity in some of this good energy, that when we're faced with some of the kabooms, we have a little bit of reserve to hold on to or we have a little bit, or a little bit more optimistic or something, if that makes sense. I'm also hoping that all of this creative problem solving we're doing and this sort of mind expansion that we're going through this week will help us deal with whatever Pluto's bringing up in a more creative, more positive way. Pluto's going to do Pluto we're going to deal with it one way or another. I'm hoping that we're going to be in this great base so that we can deal with it better rather than less. Well, right, I mean, that's kind of how we've got to approach it. And don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to scare anybody with all of this.
Speaker 1:You know this is going to affect all of us differently. Some of us, if we have planets that are getting triggered by either Mars, pluto or both, we're going to feel it more. If we've got happy, happy planets that are in really good shape in our natal charts, that are speaking to these heavy hitters, then we're going to feel it as less damaging, right or less extreme than if we have, say, our own Mars hitting it or something like that right? So the natal chart is in dialogue with all of these aspects and knowing what planets in our natal charts are being impacted by whatever's going on can really help shed light on how extremely whether positive or negative we're going to feel any of these aspects. So you really want to get to know your natal chart. Book an appointment with me if you want help with that.
Speaker 1:For a little hint on who might be feeling the Mars-Pluto opposition the strongest, those are going to be the cardinal signs, because Capricorn, where Pluto is, is a cardinal sign and Cancer, where Mars is, is a cardinal sign. When cardinal signs are triggered like that, all four of them will generally feel the impact of the aspect more strongly. So that is, if you have Sun, moon or Rising or, say, a stellium of multiple planets in either Aries, cancer, libra or Capricorn, those signs are very likely going to feel this most strongly. And you know what, with all of this lead in, I'm not going to actually go into Pluto and Mars that much. Let's just make clear what it is.
Speaker 1:These are power struggles. I mean people are using all kinds of extreme language, and I have as well, and I get why they're doing it. It's like it's nuclear, it's explosive, it's all of that, yeah, I mean mean I guess it is. This is the god of war opposing the god of the underworld, right? I mean there's nothing good about this and opposition is a tense aspect. So this is like metaphorical war, right, but we need to keep in mind that when we're talking a planet as far away as Pluto, we're going to see this more on the world stage or we're going to see it differently when we start talking about this explosive stuff. I do think there could be explosive things happening in the world. I mean, let's face it, look at the wars going on and all this stuff. There could be natural things as well, like Pluto likes to bring things up from underground, right, things that are buried, so earthquakes could happen, that kind of thing.
Speaker 1:But when we get into that really extreme language, we need to remember that it's more metaphorical, right, these are going to be power struggles. If you didn't listen to last week's episode when I talked about the sun squaring Pluto, go back and listen to that one, because I gave some examples and I've actually had people contacting me that some of those very specific examples played out exactly in their lives. Sometimes it's not so great to be right, but anyway, interesting right. These are power struggles and they are going to involve power struggles between ourselves, our will and an existing power structure, so like family dynamics or relationship norms that we've always sort of agreed upon before. That maybe we find ourselves wanting to break out of and challenge and the other party is like no, no, no, that's not the way we do it. We do it this old way, this way. We've always done it. That can be happening at work, it can be happening at school, you know, in friend groups, like you don't get to act like that or say that kind of thing because we've always been like this. It's going to be that kind of power struggle for most of us where some existing structure is challenged by some way.
Speaker 1:We're feeling now like we want to assert ourselves. Think of it like that. Think of it like we're Mars, right, and we're wanting to defend something that's ours right, whether that's our identity, the way we want to have sex, who we want to love, how we want to do our jobs, how we want to be treated at our jobs, whatever right. Do you get what I'm saying? So we're like Mars the warrior, going to battle against a structure that we're part of but that now seems too restrictive, or just like you're over it. Right, like it's the old way. And just because we've always done it that way doesn't mean we always want to do it that way. Right, like you're ready to change. And there will be somebody on the other side of that who would prefer you not.
Speaker 1:That's the kind of power struggle we're talking about, and we've actually been having this energy come up for a while. So it may be a continuation of something that we've experienced in some of these other conflicts with Pluto. It may be something brand new. This is going to be the last extreme aspect while Pluto is in Capricorn. The next time Mars opposes because Mars is going to go into this crazy long retrograde cycle, but the next oppositions there will be two more. Pluto is going to be in Aquarius at that point, so it's going to be a whole different thing. We'll talk about that when we get closer to being there.
Speaker 1:But I'm really hoping that these trines that we were talking about, with all of this creative thinking and all of that great energy, I'm hoping that they will help us, because Mercury's involved right Communication. I'm hoping that they will help us communicate our warrior spirit in an interesting, creative, productive way that helps us get through these challenges in a way that is as positive as it can be for everybody involved. So that's kind of what I got for you. It's a lot. I hope I didn't make it crazy confusing, but yeah, if you would please share the podcast, please follow Pisces Moon Astrology on Instagram, go over to Pisces Moon on Substack and see what I've got going on over there and just thank you all. As always, these are intense times and I'm honored that you allow me to share them with you, and I'm super grateful for all of you.
