Full Moon and Uranus: Breaking Free from Perceived Stability
Ready to challenge the status quo? This week on Pisces Moon Astrology, join me, Kait Leonard, as we unravel the mysteries of the Full Moon's electrifying conjunction with rebellious Uranus in Taurus. As these celestial forces collide, they promise to shake the very foundations of stability while igniting a spark of independence and freedom in your life. We'll explore how this heavenly dance between the steadfast bull and the intense Scorpio sun could upend the areas of your chart ruled by Taurus, urging you to break free from unseen constraints.
This conjunction happens as Mercury has entered his pre-shadow phase and Mars prepares to turn retrograde. Embrace the uncertainty, and discover how these celestial shifts could lead to meaningful transformation in your journey.

Hello and welcome to Pisces Moon Astrology. I'm your astrologer, kate Leonard, and I'm excited to explore the stars with you. Hey, everyone, welcome to the week of November 10th through the 16th and get ready for that balloon of stability to pop, or should I say the balloon of the illusion of stability. Whatever it is, it's gonna blow, all right. So you all are used to me coming to you with, like these big weeks it's always a big week and yeah, it's another one, but this time around the full moon, not just because of the full moon, but definitely that's playing a part. So we've got the full moon on November 15th. At the same time it is making a conjunction to Uranus, the planet of unexpected change, giant explosions out of nowhere. It's the rebel, it's the desire for freedom, it's the walk-your-own-path planet and it's going to hook up with that full moon and something's going to blow. I'm pretty excited to talk about it.
Speaker 1:You all know I don't usually talk about lunations, full moons, new moons. I mean they happen every month. It's not that they're not important, don't get me wrong. They are absolutely important, but we're really used to them, right? New moons set intentions in whatever sign and house. It's hitting in Full moons. That's time to celebrate the harvest and get ready to sort of wind things down on some project and move forward so that you can be ready to start something new on the next new moon. It happens every month. The only changes are you know what sign and house is it happening in? But it's pretty much you know. Unless an eclipse is occurring or something like that, it's pretty much par for the course in a way. But not this one because, like I already said, we've got Uranus in the picture.
Speaker 1:Now, remember, a full moon is already in opposition. Right, the moon and the sun are opposed to each other. The moon is going to be uniting with Uranus in Taurus and the sun is going to be opposing Uranus from Scorpio. And what makes this interesting is that Taurus is a fixed sign. Is that Taurus is a fixed sign? It's fixed earth. It is all about stability, right? Stability. It's like the giant pine tree or whatever giant oak tree you know, a big, old, giant tree that has its roots deeply, deeply reaching into the ground. It is rooted, it is solid. Deeply, deeply reaching into the ground, it is rooted, it is solid. And then, on the other end, we've got fixed water Scorpio. They call Scorpio the ice princess, because fixed water is what it's ice right, that's how you fix water.
Speaker 1:So again, there's this stability to the sign. You know Scorpio is known for hanging on to things and you know, holding grudges and things like that, because it doesn't let go, it doesn't move, it's very fixed. And so we've got this full moon, which is already a slower kind of moon, right, the new moon has all of that vibrant energy of like a seed bursting forth. You know, there's something really dynamic in a new moon new beginnings, that kind of thing. Right, where the full moon is the time of harvest, you know the fruit is already hanging on the trees and it just needs to be picked or it's falling. It's a slower sort of energy to it. Then we've got these two fixed signs full moon and bang, we've got Uranus. Uranus, the planet of everything opposite fixed, right, it is unexpected change, it's dynamic change. It's the planet of the rebel, it's the individual right, it's the. I'm going to break out of the status quo, I am going to break out of the box. Whatever's unexpected. I'm going to do that other thing because I am just going to be spontaneous and energized. And again I'm going to say it again everything opposite of of fixed. So we have these two things happening at once. We're going to feel this mostly in the torus area of our charts. Okay, so that's what I want you to do. First, remember I say this all the time you cannot really apply this information with any kind of actual accuracy if you do not look at your natal chart. And if you need help interpreting your natal chart, you know who to call Information down below in the show notes. But it's really important because Taurus occupies a house in your chart and each house is a different area of life and so where this is going to hit, you're going to get a big indicator of that, based on the house that holds Taurus in your chart. But let's just talk about Taurus and what that means. So I've already said you know it's fixed, it's stability.
Speaker 1:I love how very famous astrologer, evolutionary astrologer, stephen Forrest, talks about Taurus. He reminds us that Taurus the bull bulls are male cows right, that's what they are. And unless they're being stabbed or something, right, the hideous things that they do to animals right, that's what they are. And unless they're being stabbed or something, right, the hideous things that they do to animals right, don't even get me going, but unless something really extreme is happening to them. They're cows, you know. They're out in the field and what they really want to do is stand there and eat grass, and you know they'll interrupt that to have sex sleep. You know, basically there's not a lot going on with cows until something has to be going on, until they're provoked right, that's what the bull is. So I really love to remind people of that, you know. So I really love to remind people of that. You know, taurus is really that cow out in the field who would rather just nap, you know, rather just nap.
Speaker 1:The other thing that we have to remember is that Taurus is ruled by Venus. So what kinds of things are going to be shaken up? Well, our desire to be that cow in the field, right? First, it's that we're not going to be able, as a result of this Uranus conjunction with the full moon, we are not going to be able to just stay in that field. That you know. That one out back that we really really like, it's got the best grass and it's really nice for napping, you know that one. Yeah, we're not going to get to stand there anymore. You know, it's like the earth is going to shake a little bit when Uranus comes around and we're going to have to move and we don't like to do that. So don't expect that you're going to want to hang on. You're going to want to stay in that field, right? You're going to want to stay in that beautiful, fragrant grass that you're used to, whatever that is. What is that? It's going to be something having to do with Venus.
Speaker 1:Venus rules Taurus, so Venus rules. Of course, we know the goddess of love, right, she rules love and all romance and loving relationships and all of that kind of stuff. But she actually rules bringing people together, uniting people. She rules, oh, and with relationships, she does rule friendships, although Mercury has to do with that as well, but she does have a lot to do with friendships. She rules women, she rules relationships with sisters, but let's not forget that she rules a lot of other things as well. She rules beauty, money, art, luxury. You get it. All the Venus stuff, right, all the good stuff. So these are the kinds of things in our lives that we need to expect.
Speaker 1:A big kapow, uranus, full moon is already culmination, all right. It says it's time to move on from something we have to prepare for something new. We have to prepare for the new moon cycle, right. And so Uranus coming in is just like the nuclear charge on that I hate to use like war metaphors, but anyway, you know what I mean. It's like the big guns, right. It's like, oh no, we're not just doing another monthly cycle where we do like a reboot thing or something. We are coming in and blasting this stuff open. It's like dynamite to granite.
Speaker 1:So, especially when we've got all this fixed energy and then all of these areas that we tend to cling, to Think of the Venus areas, all those many things that I just went way too long listing we tend to cling, right. Relationships, love, money, art projects, you name it. If it's Venus, we tend to be very, very invested in it and therefore we cling. This is not a bad thing, all right. This is not a bad thing. It is going to feel big, it's going to feel like the earth is shaking, right. It really is going to be that foundation. Our security is going to be blown to bits, a little bit in those areas that we, a little bit in those areas that we just, in general, mostly want to hold on to, all right.
Speaker 1:So I feel like it sounds so bad even to me. I'm looking at it and going like, oh my gosh, I don't want to do this thing, right, I don't want to, and that's it. We are not going to want to feel this Uranus energy. We're not going to want to. I promise I don't want to. I don't even want to talk about it, like right now. But here we go, I have to. So just know that. Know, however, that this is really destined energy, right, when a big planet or you know one of the outer planets like Uranus comes along, this is really a big deal. It's a big energy, and the more you you, no, we the more we can open up to change and just say, okay, this doesn't feel good, I'm not loving this, I'm a little bit scared the more we can reap the benefits and get the gifts.
Speaker 1:Remember that Uranus is not just change, it's independence, it's freedom, and sometimes we don't even know that something we're in or something that we cherish is our prison, right? I'm not trying to get so philosophical here. I feel like when I talk about these kind of issues, I'm like, ooh, we're making our own prison with our love. But I am kind of saying that, right, I don't want it to sound all smarmy like that, but it's true. Sometimes that relationship that we're clinging to I know you all have had this happen in some way in your lives where something ended, you were devastated, right, and then, like a year later or something like that, you look back and you're like, oh, my goodness, thank God that happened because it gave me the freedom to go pursue this other, better thing, or because then I was free and Mr or Ms Wonderful walked into my life. But I promise it won't be easy.
Speaker 1:Opposing the moon is the sun in Scorpio. Scorpio is ruled by Mars. Mars is in its Scorpio version is kind of fighting for emotional depth, or fighting for what we think is our emotional truth. So that's yet another indicator that we're probably going to fight like crazy. We're going to fight like Mars, right, we're going to fight like Mars to hold on to whatever it is.
Speaker 1:Uranus is trying to blow up, but blow it up. Uranus will. Okay, I promise you it will. Something's going to give. I don't want to make that a scary thing. When I say blow up, I just mean it's like you know, yeah, blow up, I'm just going to stick with it. That's all I got to say.
Speaker 1:And, as always. This is not happening in a vacuum, right? As if this isn't enough, right? Don't you feel like I could just stop it right there? And it's like, kate, you've given me enough to think about. Thanks so much. Thanks for the wonderful news. No, I promise you. It is wonderful, though, but it's not. That's not all that's going on.
Speaker 1:First off, just remember that we're already in the middle of what is this really crazy Mars retrograde cycle that's going on. Mars has already been in shadow for a while, so we've got some redoing that's going to be coming up, all kinds of Mars retrograde-y kind of things that we'll talk about later. But the other thing going on is just before, just like a few days no, about a week before the full moon, mercury enters his retrograde shadow. So what's the pre-shadow? That's when the planet gets into those degrees that it's going to come back to when it retrogrades. Okay, so this pre-shadow Mercury is happening in Sagittarius. That is where we're going to be going through the Mercury retrograde that we're just heading into. Like I said, it's already starting at the time of the full moon. So this is another indicator of change, and I do think that it's going to have like there's going to be a lot of change. So we're going to get this Uranus thing going on in the Venus areas. But then Sagittarius that's our big picture, right. That's where we're making the big plans and looking out into the future, and we're going to have a Mercury retrograde there. So it's already starting and it's going to be stuff that we're putting in place right now.
Speaker 1:Right at the time of this Uranus thing, we're going to be going back over some of this and rethinking it. Mars is already doing the retrograde thing. We're going to be redoing some of this. So talk about change. I mean, I don't even know what to say. Right, there's change on top of change on top of change, but a big blast of it is coming this week. And then, on top of all of that, this week, while the full moon is happening, the pre-shadow, mercury is going to square Saturn in Pisces. You know that a square is a tense aspect. So we've got Mercury who right now is moving forward but remember, this is where he's going to come back and rethink and everything right Squaring off with Saturn. What does Saturn represent? The status quo, what's in place already? The old ways, right? So this is another indicator that really profound change is on the way.
Speaker 1:I don't know what to say.
Speaker 1:It's going to be big. It's going to really be. I guess what I mean by big is that it's going to go into those areas of our lives that are very, very stable, where we've had this illusion of stability probably for quite a long time. With Saturn involved in the Mercury thing, it's, you know, that's like I said, it's the old ways, it's something that's endured. Same thing with Uranus, taurus, right, something that seemed really stable is going to blow. These are in different houses, so I bring these all up one because they're happening together and they're not all in the same place. So I think we are in for a time when it's just going to be like like really complex, multi-phase changing. This is a big time, everyone. It's a big time.
Speaker 1:And keep in mind, this is all coming right before and I mean right before the biggest change of our lifetimes Pluto crossing permanently into Aquarius, which is happening just later this month, and that is like a 248 or something like that year cycle. Literally, by the end of this year we are going to be at the beginning of a new world. So our lives have to change in a way right, and somehow I see kind of a poetic beauty in the fact that we're beginning to change as individuals and we're sort of breaking out of the status quo, a little bit ahead of this really truly profound worldwide change that's coming. It's a little bit scary, I think. Is it to you, it is to me, but I don't think it should be. So let me really try to like.
Speaker 1:I'm scared too, because I hate change, because what is my rising sign? Taurus, and I'm very earth energy. So, trust me, even making this recording makes me a little bit, you know and I don't know, shaky and sweaty and all of that. Too much information, right? But you know what I'm saying. It's like I I don't say this easily, but I do believe that this is going to be good. I believe it's going to be big. That's all really really big, really really important, but faded and good and hey, you know what it's happening one way or another, so we can fight it or we can throw up our hands and enjoy the ride and we might scream a little bit going around the hairpin turns, but honestly, that's part of the fun.
Speaker 1:So, with all of that said, I just want to thank you, as always, for being with me, letting me share my insights with you this week. I really value you all. I honestly do.
