It's a New World! Pluto Enters Aquarius

Kait Leonard Season 1 Episode 17

As Pluto prepares for its monumental move into Aquarius, what transformations might reshape our society and personal lives? Join me, Kait Leonard, as we explore this cosmic shift and its potential to redefine power dynamics in an era where technology stands at the forefront. Drawing connections between Pluto's historical revolutions and today's tech-driven world, we examine the implications for governance, societal equality, and the aftermath of the recent U.S. election. With Aquarius's revolutionary spirit, we ponder a future where innovation challenges traditional power structures, offering both exciting possibilities and areas for concern.

On a more personal level, the episode delves into how Pluto's energy can catalyze change in our daily lives. From financial independence and creative expression to navigating relationships and mental health, understanding Pluto's transit through Aquarius in your astrological chart can illuminate paths to empowerment and growth. Whether it's addressing power struggles or embracing transformation, I highlight the importance of making conscious choices as we navigate the next two decades.

Speaker 1:

Hello and welcome to Pisces Moon Astrology. I'm your astrologer, kate Leonard, and I'm excited to explore the stars with you. Hi everyone. Well, it's another week and here we are. Welcome to the week of November 17th through the 23rd and this podcast.

Speaker 1:

I think this episode is going to be a little different from some of the others, for various reasons. The US election is over and Pluto's getting ready to change signs. It is a new world, surely it is? So? Finally, on November 19th this week, pluto will make his final ingress into Aquarius. He's dipped his toes in there a couple of times since 2023, when he started kind of going back and forth between that zero degree of Aquarius back into Capricorn, 29 degrees back into Aquarius, and now he's moving in to Aquarius for 20 years. We will never again see Pluto in Capricorn. He's got about a 248 year cycle, so he's not making it back around in our lifetimes, that's for sure, right? So we've got this 20 years in Aquarius coming up Just to drive this home even a little bit harder and kind of I don't know drill into how rare or how unique this period is.

Speaker 1:

The last time Pluto was in Aquarius was 1778 to 1798. What was happening during that time? Oh, you know nothing much the American Revolutionary War. Another thing going on at that time was the French Revolution. Another thing going on during that time was the Industrial Revolution. Let's see what's the key word here. Let's all say it together Revolution. I don't know.

Speaker 1:

I said this is going to be a little bit of a different podcast this week because I feel like I'm not the same person that I was last week and that has to do a lot with the outcome of the US election and that's led me to sort of change how I'm thinking about a lot of things. All right, pluto has to do with power, pure and simple. That's what Pluto is about. We were seeing Pluto in Capricorn as a kind of old system, old governmental system, especially the old structure, top-down government, and they were like isn't it great that Pluto, you know power in this sort of top-down government, old-style government? Isn't it great that Pluto's going to be leaving? Because Aquarius is this very forward-looking sign, right, it's all about the future and technology and, yeah, just forward thinking, right, new ideas, it's innovative. Okay, I don't give Capricorn such a bad rap, but that may just be because I have a stellium in Capricorn, I'm not sure.

Speaker 1:

I do want to say that I'm not sure now, right, that I'm not sure now, right, I'm not sure about that. We were all looking at it, right? Remember, even though the election happened before the Pluto ingress, we feel planetary energies, especially the big ones and especially the ones with those really distant outer planets that have such such heavy power. I hate to keep using that word, but that's what Pluto's about, and there is a lot of energy behind his movement and so we're feeling it before the final ta-da happens, right. And also he's been dipping in and out of Aquarius already, so it's not like, really, the US election happened before the ingress, because he's been making his ingress.

Speaker 1:

I'm now starting to think about the themes of revolution and I'm starting to frame them a little bit differently. We were looking at a change in governmental structure, right, a change in the power structure, and I do believe that's happening, but I'm not sure that it's necessarily a good thing. All right, new is not always better Can be. We always hope it's going to be right For sure, and I think we were all being really optimistic and maybe we still can be. I mean, this is not a done deal. We've got 20 years, so the Pluto experience is going to keep evolving. But I do want to throw out one thing, and then I promise I'm going to get into the more personal sense of Pluto, going into Aquarius.

Speaker 1:

But on the world level, aquarius has a lot to do with technology. So people have been predicting a lot of, you know, increased reliance on technology, ai, bitcoin, all of this kind of stuff, and I do think that all of that is absolutely inevitable and that these kinds of systems are going to gain power. Now, the way other people not so much me, but I just want to give you a sort of comprehensive idea about this the way people have been talking about this is like technology is like, in a way, the great equalizer, right, like most of us, many of us this is not true worldwide. So please know that I do understand our privilege in this country and I do understand that even in this country, not all people have the same access to technology. So please understand that. I know all of that. But a lot of us do have access to technology and through the internet, everybody's able to put their thoughts online. Right, we all have sort of an equal voice, or at least that's what we hoped and that's what we sort of saw sharing the power, a way that we would move out of that top-down government from Capricorn to Aquarius, where it was more shared power through technology. I'm looking at the role that certain leaders in technology, certain billionaires. I'm looking at the roles they played in the election, one of them very overtly, and you know another one who owns a very big newspaper, who would not allow them to come out and support Harris. I think it's safe to say that these billionaire tech people have a kind of power that possibly we didn't anticipate and a kind of power that is very in keeping with Aquarius. So I'm wondering what this next revolution is going to look like.

Speaker 1:

I'm a little worried about the divisiveness in this country, but I'm also worried that we have just gone from one power structure that was top-heavy to another power structure that might be even more top-heavy, at least in the old Capricornian way. You know, there was a kind of tradition, there was a true structure that we were at least in some ways. To some extent we could at least believe we had some part of right, to whatever extent we believe that voting and protesting and all of that stuff made any difference. You know we played that role. Capricorn is very structured and very old-fashioned and all of those kinds of things. But it's also honorable. There's a value in tradition and that sort of thing, right. Aquarius doesn't have that.

Speaker 1:

Aquarius is quite aloof. It is for the people, but more theoretically, not like, let's get down in the dirt and, you know, really do the hard work together. In that way it is much more. It's an air sign. That's intellect, right. And I want to remind everybody that it's fixed air. Fixed air often means a sort of inflexible way of thinking.

Speaker 1:

So where am I going with all of this? I have no idea. I'm just going to be straight with you all. We've got a 20-year transit. That's about power. We were, I think, many of us looking forward to what this new power structure was going to look like, because clearly the old one didn't seem to be working very well anymore. And it may turn out well. This may just be a transition moment that we're going through. That is difficult and you know not the best of it. I hope that's the case, because Aquarius is forward thinking, it is visionary, in a way right, and I do think, no matter what happens politically, I think there will be great scientific and technological breakthroughs and advancements. I do think all of that is coming. I just wonder how that will play out for all of us and given that it still seems that the very few are getting very rich from those advancements, I have to say I'm a little bit worried, but only time will tell.

Speaker 1:

Before I go on to kind of the more personal part of what I think this week is going to be about and please remember, it's not like any big giant Plutonian thing is going to happen this week the second you know that Pluto crosses over into Aquarius. This is a 20 year transit. We're going to be feeling this out for that entire 20 years. So this week it's more, I think, just for us to contemplate, think about the issues that may be coming up for the world, for the country, for the US, and for my foreign listeners, for my non-United States listeners. Thank you for being here, by the way, I'm always so excited to see you guys out there, but in your countries as well.

Speaker 1:

And with that in mind, I want to tell you a story about something that I heard and was horrified by this week, and I share this. I promise you it goes into the personal astrology, but I was getting my hair done actually, and somebody that I know at the salon was telling me about one of her teenage relatives who had gone to high school here in California. You know, blue state California, and a group of boys circled her and started yelling your body, our choice. And she went to the teacher and said that you know that she had been frightened, this was horrible and all of that. And the teacher backed the boys, saying that they had a right to free speech. Let that sink in.

Speaker 1:

Why do I bring that up with Pluto? Do you remember that Pluto raped Persephone? Yeah, it's interesting, the gender dynamics going on. So I wanted to tell you that story because this Pluto energy, I think, is coming in more literally than anybody would have expected. Power struggles I think enough, I've said enough about that already. Right, the gender issues. Gender issues are inherent with Pluto, and look at what is going on already. That's enough said about all of it. I just want you to kind of start looking around, think about the Pluto issues that you're seeing and how they're playing out.

Speaker 1:

And so now let's talk about personally what could this mean for us, because with these outer planets, often we see it and feel it more on the world level than we do on the personal level and I definitely think that's going to be mostly true for this Pluto ingress. It's not that, you know, if there's like, say, the last time, you know, the American Revolution, of course people were feeling that because it was a war you know that they were involved in, so they were feeling that. But the actual issues, the war, all of that, it was kind of a global decision. It wasn't like me and my neighbor decided to have a fight, you know. So I do think that the outer planets affect us on a global level more than they do a personal level. However, for 20 years, I do think we're going to see a change in the area of our life where we need to think about our personal power. Okay, pluto is also about deep transformation, but deep transformation so you can stand in your power. So it is very important that you look at what house Aquarius is in for you, because that is going to make all the difference in the world.

Speaker 1:

If you read my sub stack, I actually outlined just a little teeny teaser about each of the houses and I think I'll run through the like super fast version right here just to give you an idea Again what kinds of issues might begin to surface for us. These are all going to involve change. They're all going to involve forward thinking how do I want to move into the future, the next phase of my life and they're all going to involve standing in your power. If you have Aquarius as your rising sign. The first house it is going to have to do with internal change in order to stand in your own personal power. Second house is going to require transformation around money issues so that you can become more empowered financially. Third house will have to do with how you communicate and speaking your truth. The fourth house is probably going to involve something about bringing things up into the light that have been buried deeply, so that you can stand in your power within the family structure.

Speaker 1:

Fifth house is going to have to do with finding courage and bravery through creative and sexual expression. Sixth house is going to be about taking charge of your physical health. Seventh house has to do with changing the structure of your important primary one-on-one relationships to ensure a balance of power. The eighth house has to do with changing ideas around debt and joint finances so that you reclaim your financial freedom. That might mean getting out of debt so that you're more empowered, and also taking charge of healing deep trauma. Ninth house is going to involve and I promise you this, I promise you this rejecting spiritual traditions that repress you and hold you down and moving more into spiritual practices that are empowering. Tenth house has to do with taking power and leadership at work, or, for a lot of people, I think it will even involve becoming self-employed. Eleventh house has to do with your group affiliations rejecting, removing yourself from groups that are in any way disempowering and don't stand for your truth, and creating friendships and group identity around groups that you're truly aligned with.

Speaker 1:

12th house is interesting because it's the house of isolation, so learning the power of self-sufficiency and the value of time spent alone, and it also has a lot to do with mental health, so taking charge of your own mental health issues. So that's kind of the quick version, the super. It's so much more complicated than all of that, you guys, and this is probably a good time and I'm not trying to just promote my services, though. If you want a reading, I'm happy to do one for you but this might be a good time to actually, you know, book an appointment with an astrologer and sort of look at, because it's not just what house Pluto is in, what house or what house you have Aquarius in it's. Also, what other planets do you have there? And then, even if you don't have any other planets there, what planets are aspecting Pluto as he's transiting that house. So it becomes very complicated and this is so big that, honestly, it might be time to consider getting you know, sitting down with a professional and really really going through it.

Speaker 1:

We are launching the next phase of our lives. I really believe that in 20 years we are going to look back and see that we have created a new world. Do we look back and go, wow, I'm really proud, I'm so excited about what we've all done, or do we look back in horror? And I think that's up to all of us. And now that I'm getting all deep and kind of too much here, I will say thank you. Thank you so much for letting me talk to you about these things, and I hope that this episode hasn't been, you know, too weird. I'm just coming from my sort of human, damaged, frightened, bruised place and it's rough. You know it's rough and I'm grateful for all of you. So thank you and until next week, go out and seize the energies of the stars. This is truly my wish for you always. I hope you're all well, bye.
