Hello and welcome to Pisces Moon Astrology. I'm your astrologer, kateK Leonard, and I'm excited to explore the stars with you. Hi everyone, welcome to the week of December 8th through December 14th. And, like always, what a week we have. This time it's the battle of the genders, the opposition of Venus who has come up to the surface. She's been in the underworld with Pluto, she is transformed and newly empowered and she is opposing the retrograde Mars. What a week, what a week it is. But before I get into the giant opposition, let me give you some other important dates going on this week.
Speaker 1:We start the week with Venus making a good aspect to the North Node, so that means look at all things Venusian and consider destiny playing a role in that right. So fated love, fated things to happen around money, art, relationships in general, specifically relationships with women. Then on the 12th, in addition to the opposition of Mars and Venus, we have Venus sextiling the retrograding Mercury. So that's rethinking things around Venus kinds of issues, rethinking love, money, art, creativity. You get it. Then, technically, the full moon is happening on the first day of next next week, on December 15th. It's happening at one o'clock in the morning, pacific time, so it's really Saturday night. If you want to do any kinds of rituals or releasing ceremonies or celebrating, or releasing ceremonies or celebrating culminating projects, all of that kind of thing, that would really be best done on Saturday night. So that's a little bit about what's going on, but now let's get into this opposition.
Speaker 1:Oh, and before I do, I want to thank you for being here and for following the podcast. I'm super grateful If you're not actually following me. If you would, that would help me out so much and if you would share it, that would help even more. Now on to Venus, mars. That's enough of all that. So just a reminder, and if you didn't listen to last week's podcast, you might want to do that.
Speaker 1:Venus met Pluto in the underworld. There were power struggles, there was deep transformation, there was all kind of stuff, and I'm sure you guys are all going through it, so you know exactly what I'm talking about. But for this week we really need to consider that Venus has now resurfaced, she's back on the planet with the rest of us, she stood up to Pluto and she's gone through the transformations that going through that kind of process always mean. Go back to last week and listen to that episode or review it, if you've kind of forgotten what I was talking about. The reason that's important is because it's that newly empowered Venus who is going to oppose retrograding Mars. All right, so this is the male and female principle standing in opposition to each other, but this time we have the empowered Venus against the retrograding Mars. So, to get more information about this, of course Venus is in Aquarius See where that is in your chart. Mars is in Leo. Look at that. They're opposite each other, so they're on the same axis.
Speaker 1:Opposing houses always relate to each other, for example. For example, the first and seventh houses are called the me-we axes, because first house is all about me as an individual. Seventh house is we in partnership. Okay. Second house my money. Eighth house opposing it our money. All right. So you can see.
Speaker 1:The meanings or significations of opposing houses relate to each other and that's what we're going to see and have to grapple with in this Venus-Mars opposition. And even though we're going to talk about an opposition, and we are going to talk about Venus showing up in her very tough chick form okay, and I say that with all respect for the goddess, but she is a tough Venus coming out of the underworld and also in Aquarius, a Saturn ruled sign. Saturn is all about saying no, setting boundaries. So this is no lightweight boundaries. So this is no lightweight fluffy Venus. We're getting Still. I want to remind you that, while we're talking about this opposition and this tough Venus, she still wants to unite. She's still Venus and her goal is to bring things together, unite forces and ultimately come out of whatever the situation is in a way that's positive and loving and harmonious. All right, it's just she's going to do that by being really clear on her boundaries, saturn, and really standing up for the issues that connect to the house that Aquarius occupies.
Speaker 1:Okay, so let's get into this in more detail. On one side of the ring, it's kind of like fighters when we're talking about an opposition. Right, we've got Mars retrograding through Leo, so obviously a retrograding planet is not at his strongest. This is not Mars coming out like, oh warrior, I will conquer, right. That's not where Mars is at.
Speaker 1:Expect whatever's going on in your Leo house. Expect that that force, that person, that aspect of yourself, whatever it is, that's kind of opposing Venus. Expect their position to be one of asking for a do-over, right? A lover asking for another chance, family members asking for another chance, whatever it is. So think of it, whether in fact or metaphorically. Think of like an old lover coming around and asking for a do-over, like, let's try this again. Some of you are. That's exactly what you're going to face.
Speaker 1:There's going to be somebody coming back around saying we can make this work, let's try this again. Is it going to work? It could. It could if Venus stands in her power, if clear boundaries are set, maybe. Maybe the do-over could work. But if it gets murky and mushy and yes, baby, anything you say kind of stuff, then no, it will not work.
Speaker 1:This opposition will turn out in a positive way if you stand in your power and set clear boundaries that work for you. That's the message, that's the message of the week. I could honestly just kind of stop right there and I think when these things hit, we're going to all recognize them. Stand in your power, set clear boundaries. That's the way to make it happen. But it's not always. You know all of the houses in our charts don't have to do with other people. Let's say, mars Leo is your fifth house.
Speaker 1:That's about creativity. All right, it could be that some project you're working on has gotten sort of unruly and out of hand and you've kind of rejected it. You've set it aside. I can't write this book, I can't paint this painting, I can't whatever it is that you do, that's creative. Chisel this stone, whatever it is, and you've just kind of rejected it because it's too much. Expect that thing to start nagging at you and like, no, come, write me, paint me, chisel me, whatever it is. Expect that thing to come up and it will work if you set boundaries for yourself. Maybe it's like I'm going to work on this project for three hours a day for the next month and see where I get to, and if I'm not happy with where it's going, then out the door, it goes right. It may be something like that. So be a little bit open to who that is you're setting boundaries with. It may be your own project, or even yourself, or your own, say, workout routine, sixth house, you know.
Speaker 1:So it really depends on where this is falling in your charts, but wherever it falls, there is also just the general signification of Venus opposing Mars. I think a lot of us are going to have people coming up asking for do-overs. I think a lot of us are going to have old flames coming up asking for do-overs. We may also have those other house things which I'm going to get into, I promise, but I think the old flame thing is going to be a big thing for a lot of people and I want to hear about it. You know I'm kind of a little nosy this way.
Speaker 1:If you could go over to my YouTube or my Substack and leave me comments, please let me know how this is showing up for you. Oh, and that reminds me, I do have this podcast on YouTube. There's no visual to it at all, but I do plan to launch the visual and hopefully have more than one episode a week happening after the first of the year. My birthday is in January and I'm planning some expansion at that time, so stay tuned for that. But it's already up and running and you can go leave comments there. It's super easy.
Speaker 1:So another thing that's going on is, exactly while this opposition is happening, venus is forming a sextile. That's a positive aspect to the retrograding Mercury. Retrograding Mercury is going to give us support during this opposition. What does that mean? What have you been rethinking, reconsidering, kind of toying with the idea of revising those ideas that are coming up around? That may just play into how you want to respond to this.
Speaker 1:Mars, leo opposition. Right, you probably have already been having some ideas about it, like, if it's an art project, it's probably been nagging you for a while and you're like, oh, you know what, I could revise it like this. But then you sort of rejected it because you're not going back to it. You divorced that art project, same with a person. All of it applies, right, you've probably been reconsidering anyway, and then something is going to bring that opposition to a head and you're going to be asked for a do-over. Does that make sense? I hope this is not too vague.
Speaker 1:I'll try to get more clear as we go into the natal houses, and I'm going to do it just a little bit differently this time because, as I said, an opposition always lights up the axes. As I said, an opposition always lights up the axes. So, the first and seventh house, the second and eighth, the third and ninth you know the two houses that stand in opposition. So I'm going to talk to you this week about the themes of the axes. What you have to consider is which one of the houses is your Venus, is your Aquarius? That's the one where you want to stand in your power. Set your boundaries. Okay, that's the place of strength. All right, so let's get into this.
Speaker 1:The first seventh, that's called the me-we axis, right? First house, me as an individual. Seventh house me in partnership with somebody else, making it the we house. This is my we, a couple's identity, right? So expect to need to set boundaries, either around first house, aquarius, protecting your own individuality within the relationship, or seventh house, aquarius, saying you know what dude or girl person partner, oh, you know what partner. You're not all in. You're holding back too much and I need you to get fully into this relationship and if that can't be, then maybe we can't be. You get what I mean. Like, where's your Venus? First or seventh, that's the house where you're standing in your power, moving on.
Speaker 1:Second and eighth, this is my money and our money. Remember that our money. It very often means the money that you and your partner share or that you get from your partner's contribution, say, to your home and all of that. But it can also be debt. That's money you own with the bank, right, really, they kind of own it. Or insurance, or any of the taxes, inheritance, business, investors, all of that. So, second house is my money. Eighth house is ours. Where do you need to stand in your power and set boundaries? Do I need to set boundaries in the eighth house and say no more spending what I can't pay cash for? Do I need to set boundaries with my partner and say you know what partner person you need to be putting more into our joint finances? Or am I second house Venus, saying you know what, I am putting in too much to our joint finances and I'm going to be holding a little bit more back so that I can do the things I want to do?
Speaker 1:The third and ninth this is third house, communication. Ninth house making it public, communicating in a way that gets it out to the people through publication or putting it out in social media, youtube, whatever it is some kind of publication, public voice. Where do you need to set boundaries? Do you need to not be putting so much out to the public? Do you need to focus more on, say, your writing skills, your own authentic voice in your communication? Or do you need to be let go of being so precious about I'm keeping my words to myself and get them out there, setting boundaries on? After I write the next story, I'm sending it in for publication, or this idea I've been working on to present, I'm going to finally launch it. Whatever it is, it's about authentic voice and getting that voice out to the public.
Speaker 1:Fourth and 10th this is a classic one. It is home, family, that's fourth. Home and family versus career when do you need to set the boundaries, boss? I'm not working so much, I want to be home with my kids for like a minute or two, right, or family. I love you very much, but I'm ready to move my career to the next level, so I've got to put in some more hours.
Speaker 1:Fifth, 11th this is an interesting one because fifth is creativity. That can involve sex, children, art, wherever it is, and however you define creativity. Eleventh house is group identity and friendship. So are you spending too much time in the playground of creativity and not enough time being sort of out in the community and part of the group? Are you spending so much time with friends that your art is suffering, or your own, just sort of time with your creative spirit, whether that's with your partner in the bedroom or with your children on the playground? Where do you need to set those boundaries?
Speaker 1:The sixth, twelfth, that's the health axis. Sixth house is really about physical health. That's your diet, your exercise program and, just overall, how you take care of your physical body. Twelfth house has a lot more to do with the subconscious, mental health, those kinds of things, and it also has to do with rest. Do I need to finally stop resting so much and get out to the gym because I am letting my health deteriorate because I'm not working out? Have I been feeding my depression rather than handling it? Do I need to stop kind of focusing so much on the physical and take care of my mental health more? It depends on where you're out of whack. Right, where is Venus? That's that place. I hope that makes sense.
Speaker 1:I think in an opposition, it makes better sense to talk about the axes rather than each house, because this involves an interplay, like a tug of war, between those two opposing houses. This one is Aquarius, with Venus. That's going to win. It's the one that needs to win. That's where the power is, and when I say win, I'm aware that that's a little bit too simplistic, right, but that's where we need to take the hard stand. I think that's what I mean. Okay, mars is going to ask for that do-over is going to ask for that do-over. Mars is going to try to redo, which can mean repeat, right, repeat the same old thing that's been going on. That's why the boundaries are needed, like, yeah, maybe we're going to try this again, but here are the ground rules. That's the thing to keep in mind, I promise you, because if you just go back and repeat what's already been going on, you're going to get that same outcome. Right, and this kind of opposition says there's something that needs adjusting. All right, so I hope that's helpful.
Speaker 1:Thank you all. It's a super big week. Again, I know I always say that, but we've had a heck of a year. That's what I've got to say. I appreciate all of you and I just really ask that, if you can, if you can find it in you, if you can leave a comment or, even better, share, follow me on Instagram. That would really help the channel grow a lot. I would be super, super grateful and, with all that said, until next week, go out and seize the energies of the stars. This is truly what I wish for you always. Until next week. Bye, thank you.
