Speaker 1:

Hello and welcome to Pisces Moon Astrology. I'm your astrologer, kate Leonard, and I'm excited to explore the stars with you. Hello, everybody, and Happy New Year and welcome to the week of December 29th 2024 through January 4th 2025. Oh my gosh, right, let's get into it. Okay, on most weeks, I really like to pick a major aspect, one thing that I think is really, really big. That's going on in the sky, right, but this week I couldn't do it. I know I always say this about all the stuff going on, but this time I literally couldn't do it. I know I always say this about all the stuff going on, but this time I literally couldn't do it. I'm technically calling this week a new year, a new moon, a new you. If you go over to my sub stack and you should, that's the title you're going to see on this episode. But and it's true, we have a really important, really really important new moon in Capricorn this week, happening on December 30th. But we've got so much, there's so much, but I'm going to talk about two other, in addition to the new moon, two other things going on. We've got the Venus ingress into Pisces. Oh, my goodness, this is a beautiful, beautiful thing, right? Venus is exalted in Pisces. We'll go into that more in just a bit. And we also have the second of three oppositions between Mars and Pluto. Remember that first one? All those power struggles and accidents and all the stuff. Yeah well, we're getting another one, and hold tight, because then we're going to get another one. But let's take them one opposition at a time. So, anyway, those are the three things I'm going to be talking about. I just want to let you know that, in addition to these three biggies that I'm talking about, mercury is also going to come out of his retrograde shadow on January 2nd, which is a really big day. We'll talk about all the other stuff happening, but the very good news is that Mercury is coming out of that shadow phase. What does that mean? It means he's moving into new degrees, not part of that retrograde cycle. So we're finally getting Mercury actually moving forward over new territories. So these are our ideas taking off, our plans, you know, signing contracts and having them just go through, making deals, all of that kind of stuff. We're finally out of shadow and we're moving forward. I promise that I'm going to get up to two episodes a week as soon as possible and then I'll be able to go over more of the configurations. But for right now we've got these three the new moon, the Venus ingress into Pisces and the second of three, mars opposition to Pluto. So here we go, let's jump in.

Speaker 1:

What's interesting is our last new moon, whether that was in November or December. For you, it was in Sagittarius. That we can all agree on. Sagittarius, again, we've been talking about this so much. It is that long-term planning, right. It is that those big visions, big goals, all of that kind of thing. Now this new moon is in Capricorn Very cool.

Speaker 1:

Capricorn is about building structure to support those long-term goals, those big visions, those passion projects that you've been, you know, kind of working on, and then you were revising them while Mercury was in retrograde and Sagittarius. Now it is time to get to the nuts and bolts. So when you are setting your New Year's resolutions, if you do that kind of thing, or your new moon intentions, I hope you at least do that. I want you to get a little bit out of the woo-woo of it, right? This is not the new moon of all the like, woo, airy-fairy, whatever you want to call it. This is the new moon of how do I take those big ideas, that I already set those big goals, my visions. What is my action plan? What's my schedule? What's my timeline? Who are my team members? What's my budget? How many hours a day do I work on this? Or maybe how many days a week or whatever.

Speaker 1:

It is right. This is the nuts and bolts. So set intentions around that. Like, I intend to stick to this schedule and I'm going to work with these people and I'm going to finance this project. You know the money will come in. You know, like, set intentions around bringing in the money for the financing or whatever.

Speaker 1:

Apply this to wherever Capricorn is in your chart. Look at your natal chart. What house is Capricorn in? Okay, but just in general, because this always it hits in the house, but it also hits us all sort of generally. So whatever big visions you've been kind of trying to manifest, now's the time to set the practical stuff, to build the foundation, build the structure that is going to support you reaching those goals.

Speaker 1:

Does that make sense to everybody? I really hope so. If not, go over to my sub stack. It's super easy to leave comments there. Did I mention it's super free also, and give me your questions and your comments. I'm happy to answer.

Speaker 1:

Okay, the one other thing I wanted to add about this it all sounds wonderful, yeah, we're all ready to move forward on some stuff, but I do want to just offer one little warning. Mars is still retrograde. When Mars is retrograde, we lack energy. We're physically sometimes just legit tired, right, like. I want to sleep, I need to take a nap. Kind of tired, right. Mars is also that oomph, you know that gush of energy we need to launch things and it's retrograde, so that energy is a little bit hard to come by, right. So I'm not telling you to push yourself to the breaking point, but I am going to suggest get a little done, right.

Speaker 1:

If you can't make big progress on these plans, you need to draft out and all of that. Then get a little done. I don't want anyone pushing themselves so hard that they just drop from exhaustion. That is not the way to go right now. But you might need to, just because you know this is the new moon, to set these intentions around the nuts and bolts. You might need to just push a little bit, right. Push a little bit, get a little bit done. Then go have a tea break or a coffee break or whatever break you do right, like go do your break thing, all right. So don't knock yourself out, but don't let yourself totally off the hook. If you can find a nice balance there, that would be the best thing. And don't worry this Mars retrograde tired thing during the new moon. That's not all that's going on this week.

Speaker 1:

Fortunately, we have a wonderful thing on the evening of January 2nd, venus, the goddess of you, know everything kind of wonderful love and money and beauty and comfort and luxury, relationships of all kinds, friendships, relationships of all kinds, friendships, sisters, women you name it right, the goddess of the good stuff. Venus is moving into her place of exaltation in the sign of Pisces Pisces, spirituality, emotional depth and also deep union, bonding with others. So when you've got Venus, who rules bringing things together in Pisces, where she loves to be, this is her place, where she's exalted the chances of finding a soulmate. Now when I say soulmate, I want to be really clear. Look at the house where this is happening in, where's Pisces.

Speaker 1:

For you, this could be absolutely a soulmate in that I love you, you love me, kind of way right. But it could also be like a soulmate who's like your heart and soul, best friend. It could be a soulmate, like the perfect business partner that just vibes with you and you're going to be able to work together and make bazillions of dollars together, or whatever. It is an art partner, writing partner. It can be a soulmate in things other than that traditional way we think of it, which is love, but Venus is the goddess of love above and beyond everything else. So some of us are maybe going to find our soulmates or rediscover them or deepen our relationships with someone. You know where we're like. Oh, I knew I loved you, but whoa, now we're deeply bonded.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, there could be some very cool stuff like that going on this week, but also just expect a smoother flow in all the Venus topics. You know, finances flowing better, your art project or whatever kind of creative project, because we are not all painters and writers, right, you can be a creative cook for your family, you know whatever it is. You can be a creative cook for your family, whatever it is, but just finding the flow is better, because Pisces is the ocean, right, so it's like Venus becomes her kind of mermaid self. It's really wonderful. The other thing this week is good for is reaching the spirit realms, whatever that means. Whether you work with spirit guides, your higher self, deity, psychic kinds of development, ancestor work, all of that reaching the spirit realms is going to be more available, and also just deepening your own spiritual life, your own spiritual practices. Whatever that is for you, this is a beautiful, beautiful thing.

Speaker 1:

Now be aware that Venus will be in Pisces until through February 3rd. Okay, it's not going to all be the same this whole period of time. I think it's going to all be good. I mean, venus is exalted all the time, but she is going to move into a conjunction with first Saturn, who sets boundaries in the ocean We'll talk about that when we get there and then also Neptune, who's the modern not the true ancient ruler, but the modern ruler of Pisces. So Neptune's pretty strong here.

Speaker 1:

Anyway, I just want you to know that this energy isn't only this week. This goes through early February and it is going to, there's going to be some texture to it that we'll go through as we get there. Now, I wish that I could just end right now. I wish that my conscience would let me just say, like, well, there it is, Isn't that a great week? And yeah, but my conscience won't let me do that, because I have to talk to you about, as I said in the intro, the second Mars-Pluto opposition. Okay, there are going to be three.

Speaker 1:

So the story that started on November 1st this was when Mars was in cancer and Pluto was still in that final degree of Capricorn that started this trilogy of oppositions. Now we've got Mars retrograding in Leo and Pluto has moved into Aquarius. So it's part of this same trilogy, but we're at a different point in the story. Okay, I want you to remember that this is not the final point. Mars is going to retrograde into Cancer, turn around and come back into Cancer, turn around and come back, and when he comes back into Leo for the last time this cycle, he is going to oppose Pluto again. Okay, that's when this story is going to finally complete itself.

Speaker 1:

This time is not going to be maybe as dramatic as that. Did I tell you when this was happening? I may have forgotten to do that. We're actually going to be feeling this energy all week because already, even as I'm recording this before the week, Mars is already so close to that exact degree of opposition that we're already in this, and I think you'll understand when I start talking about the kinds of energy that's going to be around it, but actually it goes exact on January 2nd, so that's the evening when Venus goes into Pisces. We've also got this other energy of Mars opposing Pluto. I hope all of that made sense and wasn't too confusing.

Speaker 1:

Anyhow, let's talk about it. The first time around I really focused on the power struggle kind of aspect, right this time, not so much that Now. Anytime Pluto's involved, power struggles can come up. So just be aware of that. I'm going to give you some advice on that as we go along.

Speaker 1:

But Mars is retrograde, mars is just tired. You know, and I know a lot of you are feeling it because, as you all know, I work with clients privately and then I just talk to people about astrology in my regular old life and I think everybody I talk to they are just tired, right, people are like wow, I'm exhausted, I don't have any get up and go, I'm just unmotivated and it's mostly because I'm tired. I'm hearing it. I had somebody actually not show up to a one-on-one consultation because she fell asleep. You know, I can't even blame her, right, because I get it, we're tired. So I think we're going to be experiencing a lot of that.

Speaker 1:

But I do think that this need for rest and self-care and time out. I do think that that is part of the transformation process that this whole Pluto remember. Pluto rules deep transformation. So these three Mars oppositions, they're going to be about struggle, because Mars is the god of war, after all, right, but they are ultimately about after all, right, but they are ultimately about transforming. And the movement from Capricorn Pluto, capricorn to Pluto Aquarius is really about breaking free, transforming so we can break free into the next phase of our lives, really into a new world, right, but this week let's talk about it, take breaks.

Speaker 1:

You may feel that you want to take the backseat on a project or you want to postpone a project that you've been planning. You might need to ask for some time off. You know, mental health day. You may need to use a couple of sick days because you've got that sense of like I feel something coming on, I'm too tired. Mars rules inflammation, so you may actually come down with like a little bug of some kind.

Speaker 1:

Right, the way around this week is to give yourself the time you need and understand that that time is what it's about. It is going to help you go through this ultimate Plutonian transformation, if you're really lucky. I'm not this lucky but I'm sure some of you are and you can actually go on a retreat while Venus is in Pisces. Venus loves retreats, right? She's all about let's go into nature, let's go to the ocean Pisces, right. So if you're lucky enough that you can go to an island yoga retreat, that's spirituality, right. Or go to the lake and do a silent meditation or whatever it is. If you can go by water, that's going to be super, super good. But if you can't, wherever it may be, take a day in your living room and meditate at your altar or whatever you get.

Speaker 1:

What I'm saying If you can actually go on a retreat of some kind this week, that will be using all of the planetary energy in the best possible ways. The Mars, who needs some rest and self-care, the Venus in Pisces, who wants to deepen spiritual connection it would be brilliant. But I understand that we can't all do that. So what we can do is know when we've hit our limits right, and just say I need a minute, I need a day, I'm going to bed early today, whatever it is, I'm taking a bubble bath, whatever your thing is. If you don't do that, the chances of you developing like a fever you know, inflammation, right? A sore throat, something like that that sort of forces you into that timeout. That is much more likely if you're not just giving it to yourself, right? So hopefully that's helpful.

Speaker 1:

So it's a big week and it's the new year, right? So be careful that you're not pushing yourself too hard with the celebrations. Definitely go celebrate. I'm not saying don't, but you know, just be aware of your energy and what feels good to you. Venus moving into Pisces, is going to support all that feel good stuff. But just know that this just might be a week that's a little bit lower key than some other New Year's weeks have been.

Speaker 1:

Okay, I hope all of that makes sense. I hope that wasn't too much. I felt that all three of those things were so big that I couldn't really leave any of them out. So do all the things. Thank you so much. Let me start with thank you so much and then please, if you don't mind, follow me at Pisces Moon Astrology on Instagram. I'm Pisces Moon. On Substack, like share. Do all the things. It's super helpful for me and for the show and to help me get my work out into the world. I'd be really grateful. And that's it.
