When Authenticity Eclipses Confusion: Your Cosmic Path Forward
The cosmic energies are intensifying with a partial solar eclipse in Aries followed by Neptune's dramatic shift into the same sign.
• Eclipse in Aries represents a growth opportunity to become more authentically ourselves
• This North Node eclipse propels us toward our destiny, even when the path seems unclear
• Neptune enters Aries on March 30th, creating a challenging mix of impulsivity and confusion
• Historical parallel: The last time Neptune entered Aries was April 1861 when the Civil War began
• Mercury and Venus retrograding and conjoining Neptune brings additional confusion before clarity
• Best approach: practice self-care, take deep breaths before reacting, and give yourself time
• Remember that this eclipse energies will manifest most strongly in the house where Aries falls in your birth chart

Hello and welcome to Pisces Moon Astrology. I'm your astrologer, kate Leonard, and I'm excited to explore the stars with you. Hello and welcome to the week of March 23rd through March 29th. Let's get into the eclipse. So in my last episode I talked about the total lunar eclipse that was happening in Virgo, and now we're getting the bookend to that eclipse. We're getting the partial solar eclipse in Aries, and normally a partial eclipse doesn't rile me up quite so much as this one is, but there is a lot going on with the eclipse and it's going to change it from this sort of minor eclipse-y kind of thing. You know I'll get into more detail about that, but just so you know, this is a big, big week. We've got the partial solar eclipse, like I said, on the 29th, and then the very next day, on March 30th, neptune enters Aries, right where the eclipse just happened, like 24 hours earlier, right. So it is a very big thing when the slow moving planets, the outer planets, change signs, it is very, very big. Okay, before I talk about the eclipse one, I just want to thank you for being here and ask that you please share the podcast. It would help me out a whole lot. And two, let me give you some of the other things going on this week so that you can kind of check them out on your own, because, boy, howdy, there's a lot. On March 23rd the sun in Aries is going to form a sextile, which is a positive aspect to Pluto in Aquarius. So this is power issues being illuminated, but that sextile means they'll be illuminated, but in a positive way. So look out for that. Power issues coming up on the 23rd and moving forward for a day or two, maybe for the whole week, but at least a day or two.
Speaker 1:On March 24th we have retrograding Mercury moving into the heart of the sun, what's called Kazemi. This is ideas and communication becoming a lot more clear, but not right away. When the planet first comes out of Kazemi it's going to be combust, meaning we still won't see it. So it'll take a little bit of time, but expect for big, big. Let's make it just one big improvement in ideas, communication, all the stuff right. Then on March 27th we've got retrograding Venus conjoining Neptune, and this is in that critical 29 degrees in Pisces. Any planet at 29 degrees is super, super active. So that's Neptune. So we've got Venus retrograding and joining Neptune. And then on March 29th, we've got Mercury retrograding and then making that same union with Neptune.
Speaker 1:This is going to be lots of rethinking and refeeling. It'll be kind of issues of spirituality, creativity, but, but when Neptune's involved and the other planets are retrograde, so that's a whole lot of like oh kind of energy. Right, expect some confusion before we get clarity, yeah, but then we should come out of it sort of more spiritually, creatively aligned. Yeah, but expect that confusion first. Y'all know I do not like Neptune and unfortunately this week we got a whole lot of Neptune going on, right, because we have these two planets conjoining, and then Neptune is going to cross into Aries, so it's just all kind of Neptune and yikes, all right, let's get into the eclipse. This eclipse is happening in Aries and you guys have heard me say this before.
Speaker 1:Aries is a little bit like the toddler of the zodiac, right, it's the energy of me, I want, I need, I feel, I think it's the me, me, me sign. Right, it's focused on self over others, but it's not. Aries is not a bad sign, it has that quality, but it's, you know, it's about independence, it's bold, it's about taking care of and honoring ourself, our personal power, our identity, our inner truth and authenticity. So when I call it a toddler you know, I talked a little bit about this last time Every sign has sort of a shadow side and Aries can be a brat right, it totally can be a brat where it's like I'm doing it my way or I'm taking my marbles and going home. But Aries is also courageous and brave and authentic. Aries is ruled by Mars. It has that warrior spirit and it has initiation. It's got that initiatory energy right so it can really take on things and move boldly toward goals. So it's not a bad thing.
Speaker 1:But it is interesting because our last eclipse we're talking all about this how do we move more into spirit, into that Piscean realm, right, and this seems really really opposite, but I'm getting ahead of myself. So this eclipse is solar, so that is really looking at how we sort of present out in the world. It's a north node eclipse. So this is an area where we need to grow right. North node is where we expand, where we bring something new in, where we grow in some way, all right. So how are we supposed to grow from this eclipse? We are supposed to bring our easier said than said. We are supposed to bring our authentic selves into the world, right. If we're going to be presenting out there in the world, if we're going to be interacting with other people, launching projects, starting businesses, whatever it is, however it is, we show up. That is a place where we are supposed to become even more authentically who we are and have the courage to just say yeah, you know, this is me, this is the real me, and I'm here. It's actually really wonderful energy.
Speaker 1:The problem is about this showing up out there in the world and all of that. It's an eclipse, even though a partial eclipse. What that means is we're not seeing clearly right now. Starting to sound familiar, I was talking about those planets retrograding over Neptune and not seeing clearly. Yeah, you know, this is really a thing Eclipses obscure the light, right. So the path in front of us is not exactly clear yet.
Speaker 1:So we're supposed to be learning, we're supposed to be receiving the messages and all of that, but we probably aren't going to exactly know how to step forward, how to make it all happen, or in what areas of life do we have to make it happen, you know, or do we want to make it happen? So it's important to remember that, like bookends, do we want to make it happen. So it's important to remember that, like bookends the two eclipses the lunar eclipse that we just went through and now this upcoming partial solar eclipse they go together. We don't throw away, we don't just abandon what happened with that lunar eclipse and go okay, we're done with that. Now I've done all that spiritual woo-woo coming from my intuition and now I'm going to go out and be a noble warrior and conquer the business world or whatever it is you want to conquer, right? It's not like that. They go together.
Speaker 1:So, during this week that we're not seeing things so clearly, it's still time for us to rely on that Piscean energy that we were working with during the lunar eclipse. Does all of that make sense? So we're moving into a kind of balance again. We talked about this last week when Virgo was involved. Right, virgo is where the actual eclipse happened and we needed to let go of some of that Virgo control and move into that Piscean space of intuition. This is a little bit like that. It's a little bit now of, of course, correction. So we've moved into that Piscean way of feeling our way through things, right, but now we need to focus on ourselves, okay, so it's not about control the way Virgo was, but it is about action. Aries is active. It's ruled by Mars, right? So Mars is all about action and energy and passion and all of that stuff. But the focus is on ourselves.
Speaker 1:This is me focusing on my authentic self and getting out of a little bit or using that to balance that Pisces energy. If you're only in Pisces, if you're only in that oceanic, you know kind of space, it can get spacey, it can be really, really spacey and you can be really out of touch with making things happen in the material world. You know, you can be more like the guru on the mountaintop. That's a magical and wonderful thing, but it's not right for all of us. Right, many of us have to be here in the world. We have ambitions, we have things we need to be responsible for and all of that. And the guru sitting on the mountaintop mostly he sits there on the mountaintop, right, I don't get to do that. I'm sure many of you don't get to do that.
Speaker 1:So now, how do we get back into action? We don't lose that intuition, but we get back into action, but thinking about authenticity and our own needs and desires. It's a really profound time. The frustrating piece is just going to be that we're not going to see the way, clearly for a bit. Okay. So that's what I want you to keep in mind, because I already know, I already know I'm going to be getting phone calls and emails needing appointments because people are confused. And let me add to that because, remember, neptune yeah, let's talk. Okay.
Speaker 1:So, as I said, on March 30th that's the day after the eclipse, neptune leaves Pisces and goes into Aries. Now y'all, I'm just going to tell you again what I say all the time. I've already said it probably three times on this episode I don't like Neptune. People are always like Kate. He's so spiritual. Yeah, he rules lying, deceit, illusion, delusion, drug addiction. Yeah, he's a nice guy. No, I don't like Neptune While he was in Pisces.
Speaker 1:That's kind of Neptune at his best, because he's the god of the ocean and he's in the ocean of Pisces. So I was being sort of nice-ish about Neptune when he was there. Now he's coming in to fiery Aries and Neptune is the god of the ocean. So what the heck is he doing over there in a fire sign? He is not at all happy. This is not him at his best, and so I am taking off my nice Neptune attempt or whatever and I'm going to go back to I don't like him and I don't think you're going to like him this week either. So let me give you an idea yeah, let me give you an idea of Neptune in Aries. He's very slow, so the last time he was in Aries was in April of 1861.
Speaker 1:Anybody remember their US history class from? What was that like? Sophomore year of high school or something like that? I'm probably dating myself. I don't even know if they teach it anymore, but anyway, anybody remember US history. If not, you can Google it really quickly. What happened in April of 1861? The American Civil War started. That's Neptune in Aries.
Speaker 1:Okay, so I do mention over on my sub stack and if you're not over there, it's free and you should be. If you want me to do an episode on kind of what Neptune in Aries means for the world or what it could mean, go over there and drop me a comment. If I get enough people wanting that and that's the only place I'm really going to take comments If I get enough people wanting that, I'll do an extra episode. Otherwise, you and I are not going to go to war with each other. It's not going to play out like that, but it is that kind of energy right, energy right. And it's because Aries is all about impulsive action and Neptune is confused. There's delusion, there's lying, there's deceit, there's all kinds of stuff going on. And then you've got that Aries impulsivity right and we're just coming out of the eclipse. That's already. The sun has been partially obscured, so it's just, I don't know, I am not loving it, I'm not loving it.
Speaker 1:Now here's the good news. First off, after this eclipse, we've got some months before we hit the autumn eclipse series, right. So this eclipse energy, while I do think we're going to be feeling this for some months to come, it is going to dissipate. So that's one bit of good news. This week, I think, is going to be tough. I think next week is going to be tough, but then it's going to get easier. Neptune is going to stay in Aries through, I think, the first few weeks of October. Then he's going to retrograde back into Pisces, so we'll get let up at that point, right. I'm not saying that we're going to feel this intensity of Neptune in Aries all the way through October. It is going to dissipate before then to some degree, but then he is going to go back into Pisces and he's going to stay there through January 26th. So we'll get that little reprieve where we get Neptune back into the ocean, where he belongs. Things will be a little bit easier. But then on January 27th he's going to move back into Aries and he's going to be there through May of 2038.
Speaker 1:If you were following my podcast or Substack back when Pluto moved into Aquarius and I talked about how we're going to feel that energy of these slow-moving planets, mostly when they're at that zero or one degree, then we're going to feel them again big time at the end of their transit, when they're at 29 degrees. So it's not like we feel the intensity for the whole transit. It becomes in some ways the new norm and we just kind of find our rhythm with it. But now, with Neptune moving into Aries and he's going to be at that zero degree point, we're going to feel it. We're going to feel that impulsivity activated and remember, what's happening to you is happening to everybody else. So you may not be acting impulsively and you may find that somebody else is wigging out on you, right? You know it's like whoa dude, step back, take a minute and what the heck are you talking about, right? So there's just a lot of that possibility Remember the Civil War, right? So a lot of opportunity for these weird kinds of misunderstandings and whatever. And then we're going to feel it again next year, early next year, when he comes back in and hits that zero degree again. So I know that sounds like just a blast, right?
Speaker 1:Here's the thing I want everybody or I advise everybody to keep in mind. One this is a North Node eclipse. Ultimately, we are going to grow and benefit from this experience. We may not see it right away I promise you we're not going to see it right away but it's going to be there and we're going to look back and go okay, that was really life-changing when all of this happened, because that Neptune ingress is that kind of thing, life-changing. And the eclipse you get what I'm saying. So it's a north node eclipse. We're going to grow and all eclipses are like these supercharged events that shove us. They give us like a jolt to get us aligned with our destiny. The nodes are about our path of destiny. So ultimately, we grow, we get more aligned with our own paths, that we're here to walk In Aries. It's something about showing up authentically. All of this is really, really, really good, right. So I want you to hold on to that, even though I'm telling you I don't think it's going to be crazy easy getting there.
Speaker 1:My advice hold on to the good news, even though it's down the road. Take a breath, engage in a lot of self-care, because this Aries energy likes focusing on me, me, me, right. So take a breath. When you feel like things are getting kind of explosive or out of control or you're really confused and frustrated, take a breath, go get a massage, go meditate by the ocean. You know, whatever it is, your thing is take care of you and give it a little time, all right. And, like I said, remember other people are feeling these things too. Take the space you need to be okay, but maybe remember that they're also working through this kind of energy. Right, we will get through this. We're getting ready to more fully stand in our power. I'm pretty excited about it overall. I just wish we could skip a couple of the steps in the path.
Speaker 1:A last little point here is don't forget to look at what house this is happening in. We will get the energy of any cosmic event in a sort of general way. So these themes are going to come up for all of us, but you will find that you are most impacted usually in the house where this is occurring. So look to Aries what house does that occupy in your chart? And also remember that, let's say, this is hitting my 10th house, so that I'm going to be having these issues coming up around my career.
Speaker 1:Okay, there's confusion. How am I moving forward? I'm having weird conflicts, whatever in the area of career and then I find that, say, my daughter is exploding at me out of the blue. You know well. Remember, her Aries is in a different house from mine, so hers may be in the fourth house of family and so I'm getting blasted right.
Speaker 1:So keep in mind that the way it's hitting you and where you think you're dealing with it, that's not the same for everybody else around you. So kind of step back and be like okay, I'm getting blasted by this person in my life. I wonder where their Aries is right. So just know that it's not a uniform thing, which makes it even more confusing. Does that make sense? Anyway, I hope all of this was helpful. That's always my intention and please do all the liking and sharing, especially, especially sharing you guys. I would be super grateful. I'd love to see you over at Substack, and that's all I've got. So until next week, go out and seize the energies of the stars. This is my wish for you always, and until then, bye.
