Venus, Mercury, and the N. Node of Destiny
Cosmic realignments take center stage this week as retrograde Venus and Mercury cross paths with the North Node of Destiny in spiritual Pisces. These powerful conjunctions don't yet reveal our complete karmic path forward but instead show us what must be adjusted before clarity arrives. It's like being underwater – we can feel the profound significance but can't yet see clearly through the oceanic depths.
Venus meets the North Node on April 2nd, prompting deep reassessment of relationships, creative pursuits, and core values. For those experiencing returning ex-lovers or relationship confusion, this transit demands honest evaluation: are your values truly aligned with this person? The universe doesn't waste energy on connections that aren't spiritually significant. Artists and creatives stand at a powerful threshold where breakthrough work becomes possible if you can align with your soul's purpose.
Mercury joins this karmic dance on April 5th, suggesting that our communication patterns, business decisions, and intellectual approaches need similar realignment. These aspects happening so close together indicate interconnected themes rather than separate life areas requiring attention. Relief comes soon – Mercury stations direct on April 7th with Venus following on April 12th. Until then, trust your intuition more than your intellect and look to past dates (February 2nd for Venus, March 1st for Mercury) when these planets first crossed the North Node for clues about what needs correction now. This isn't about seeing the complete path yet; it's about making the adjustments necessary to step fully into your destined direction when clarity finally returns.

Hello and welcome to Pisces Moon Astrology. I'm your astrologer, kate Leonard, and I'm excited to explore the stars with you. Hi everyone, welcome to the week of March 30th through April 5th. This week is all about the continuation of Venus and Mercury and their karmic love story and, while I wish I could say it was all just going to be smooth sailing this week, it's not. It's going to be big and it's going to be important and it's going to be frustrating. So what's new? Right, but we're almost through it. So hang with me here. Also, please forgive the voice. I know this is tedious and this is truly the best I can do right now. This thing is just not clearing up all the way and I have this really yucky voice. So I am sorry, but let's get into the astrology really yucky voice. So I am sorry, but let's get into the astrology.
Speaker 1:The quick dates on April 2nd we've got retrograding Venus joining the north node of destiny in Pisces. Then on April 5th, we have retrograding Mercury joining that same north Node of Destiny. So this is kind of another chapter in a love story that we've been reading for a while and, yeah, we're not at those final pages yet, but we're getting there and we're getting there pretty quickly at this point. But before we get into the main events, let me give you some other dates that are going to be important this week, just so you can kind of look at your own chart and figure out what's going on. I already talked about Neptune moving into Aries, and so that, of course, is going on this week. I sort of talked about it a little bit in advance. You can go back and look, I believe, at last week's episode to hear about that, and there will be more on that to come, because that's a long transit. Then on April 4th we've got Mars and Saturn, so that's the greater malefic and the lesser malefic sextiling Uranus, the planet of unexpected events and rebellious actions. So, even though a sextile is a positive aspect, we're still bringing in the two most difficult planets or not, in my opinion, because you know I don't like Neptune, but according to ancient astrology, the two malefics the two malefics, and Uranus makes things go boom right. So in spite of the positive aspect that they're making, I would still be on the lookout for all kinds of radical or rebellious interactions with people. Look to your chart to see where that's hitting. At the same time, mars will be making a positive aspect to Saturn. So Mars separates things and breaks things down. Saturn is the old structure, so be looking at how old structures in your life maybe need to get torn down. Okay, try to do that in a positive way, not in an angry ripping up the walls kind of way. You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1:All right, let's get into the main events. Okay, so just a reminder. We've got these retrograding planets that are going to cross over the north node of the moon, which, as I always say, this is the node of destiny. This is us aligning with our fate. It's karmic, it's big, it's deep. The things that happen with the north node of the moon are just always really life-changing and profound. Right, because this really is our karma that we're talking about. This is happening in Pisces, one of the, in my opinion, the most spiritual sign in the zodiac. So this is going to be a really, really deep event these two planets touching, conjoining with the north node, however Pisces, you know, with the North Node. However Pisces you know I've said it before, you guys have heard it like a thousand times Pisces is spiritually intense and deep and all of that, but it's the ocean and so visibility is not usually clear when we're underwater. Right, think of it that way.
Speaker 1:So it's another week. This is going to be what our third or fourth in a row that I'm going to tell you. Rely on your intuition more than you rely on your intellect, because we're in those deep ocean waters of the soul and it's not going to be our brains that know how to navigate in that area. Then we're going to add to this that both of the planets making conjunctions with the north node are both retrograde. So we've already got all that wonky stuff going on, right? I don't know about y'all, but this Mercury retrograde has kicked my butt. And then the Venus retrograde. You know, that's a whole different area of life where there's maybe not confusion in the same sense, but sort of this sense of needing to rethink it, redo it, re-feel into it. So this is another week. Rely on your intuition.
Speaker 1:Now, I know that a lot of us are going to be frustrated this week because it's not clear, and we are, I don't know. I'm speaking for you, so let me not do that. I know I am really tired of the lack of clarity, right, I work in the world of woo-woo, okay, so relying on my intuition is not difficult, it's not something that I object to, but all around me there's still this swirling, you know, and I for one am super-duper ready to be able to see the path a little bit more clearly. I'll bet you I could actually talk for most of you guys out there, right? So, but just to give you a little hope about when this is all literally turning around Mercury stations direct on April 7th. Now remember, when a planet stations like that first day or two, they're basically standing still. It takes a little time. Give it a week as the planet picks up a little bit of speed and then you're going to get that clarity and with a real sense of moving forward in our thinking, our communicating, our writing, all those mercurial business, marketing, all that stuff having to do with Mercury. So that is going to turn around and then get progressively better, starting on April 7th, then on April 12th, venus will turn direct.
Speaker 1:How many of you who are in passionate, though confusing and messy love affairs right now are going to be really happy when Venus turns around? And again, it's the same thing. She'll get better, you know, in a few days, a week, as she picks up steam and gets some forward momentum. But anyway, the beginning of that is April 12th, so all of those messy affair things. And I have to tell you I have been having so much fun with my clients this week because everybody's like, oh my gosh, I really didn't think I was going to be one of those people that an ex-lover came back and he or she did right and everybody's all blown out of the water about it and I am just having a blast.
Speaker 1:Okay, back to this week. We're going to have Venus and Mercury crossing the lunar node. The problem is this is still the retrograde pass, so we are going to make cosmic realignments. Think of that this week, that this is the week where we're not going to all the way. See like, oh, now I see my path of destiny, I totally know where I'm going and how to get there right. That's not this week. This week it's more like we see what we need to do to get on the path. We see what we need to do to get on the path. This is still that week of revision, course correction, do-overs, whatever is coming up for you in both those Venus and Mercury kinds of ways. This is still a week of figuring it out and making the corrections necessary so that you can move forward.
Speaker 1:But when each of these planets conjuncts the North Node, we should get pretty deep feelings about okay, I know what to do. I don't know yet what the path ahead looks like, but I know what to do to get on the path. Does that make sense? I hope so, because I think that's about the best way I can describe it. In fact, I'm pretty impressed with myself on that one. Okay, now just to give everybody a hint. Right, I want to, because during this time, when we're so confused, right, and when things are so unclear, sometimes it's hard, it's like, well, I'm not sure if I'm supposed to course correct this way or that way. They both kind of have something in them and I'm not sure what to do.
Speaker 1:Think back for Venus to February 2nd. Okay, think back. Get your journals, do whatever you have to do. Look at your calendar, do the stuff, because February 7th is when Venus crossed the North Node for the first time. She went direct over the North Node, then she entered Aries, then she turned retrograde. Now she's coming back, right. So this is going to be her second pass. Then she's going to turn direct and go over for the third time pass. Then she's going to turn direct and go over for the third time. That third time is those final pages of the love story, when we finally find out what happens to our main characters and and you know, when are they getting married or whatever it is. But to get a hint of how to course correct, to get some sense of like, is it this thing or that thing? Think back to February 2nd, because that's the first time you played in this energy. Okay, so you should get some good information right to help you feel your way through this experience In the realm of Venus.
Speaker 1:What kinds of things could we be talking about? Remember when Venus went retrograde, way back when I was first talking about what this retrograde would mean? One of the things I stressed most and I stand by this as the key lesson or takeaway from a Venus retrograde it's about re-examining our values and what we value. So this week we're going to be looking, as we're trying to course correct, right, we're going to be looking at our values. What do I value in a relationship? Am I aligned there with this person? Do we need to have a conversation and discuss some of these things? That could be anything from like. You know, we've been leaning towards moving in together. But now that I'm really sitting with this, I value waiting till we're married to actually share a house together. Or it could be the other way around.
Speaker 1:You thought you were waiting for marriage and you're like you know, that kind of is some old thing that I kind of have from my parents or whatever my religion, who knows. And what I'd really like to do is just take it a little more slowly, be a little more open and live together. For a while. Maybe you thought you wanted monogamy and now you're realizing that's kind of not who. You are, right, and you need to have that conversation with this partner, this potential partner. Those are just random examples. The issues are yours, right.
Speaker 1:There are limitless numbers of things that could come up, but it's really about these are karmic relationships. You want to make sure that you guys are on the same page, right? And that you know what you're doing as you head forward. And if there's more than one person involved, or even if there's only one, but you're not sure if it's Mr or Ms, right, you want to know what your values are in a relationship and really analyze does this person fit? Because if not, I promise you. I promise you there's somebody else coming, this person who's in your vision right now. If you're one of the ones who it's like only one, that ex-lover who came back, or whatever, if that person is not fated for you, if that person is not, like, really aligned with what you want in a relationship that is not your karmic love, let it go Face the truth, and I know it's scary, I know it's scary, but this is all about fate. It will turn out the way it's supposed to, and if it's not that person, the next person's waiting to walk in the door. I'm really sure of it.
Speaker 1:Now, not all of us are doing the relationship thing all right. So I just want to make a quick thing here as well. Not all of us are meeting old lovers and dating and marrying and doing all this stuff right. I, for one, I'm not doing any of that stuff right, but I am working on my book or trying to. Other people yeah, there are writers. Venus Rules Art and creative stuff. People writing music, forming bands, painting, paintings, acting on stage, writing screenplays All of those things are Venus. But that's not all. All relationships are Venus. Venus rules women, she rules sisters. So the relationships that you're supposed to be analyzing could be those relationships. Venus rules money and what we value. So it could have something to do with really considering how the way you make money aligns with who you are in your soul Pisces, right. So it's not only love and lovers and all of that. That's sort of the classic Venus. But many of us are going through those same themes, but we're doing it in other areas.
Speaker 1:I want to say to you artists out there, and that's, whether you're a writer, an actor, whatever it is, you creatives, right. This is a time to hit it out of the park. This is a time to hit it out of the park. This is a time that, if you can go through this process and get on that path of destiny, this is when you begin to break out of any limitation you've had creatively and you become, you know, you create your masterpiece, or at least the masterpiece for now, right, but it's big. It's big for creative people. Venus loves creative people, all right.
Speaker 1:Now, on April 5th, we've also got Mercury meeting up with the North Node, and so this is a time when it's more intellectual, except Mercury's retrograde, right. So again, we're doing that revising, redoing, rethinking, renegotiating all of that stuff, all the re-words, but this is equally faded. So if you're signing contracts or considering signing a contract, if you're changing jobs, mercury has a lot to do. The ancients used to say Mercury rules what happens in the marketplace. So that's what we call business, right? So things about work, communication, all forms of communication, writing Now you writers out there, you kind of fall in both places Mercury rules writing and Venus rules art.
Speaker 1:You decide which one is your god or goddess, right? You really fall under both. But Mercury and Venus crossing the north node so closely together, just within a couple of days of each other, I really think that whatever it is we're rethinking and whatever this mercurial piece is about, I think it's going to be connected. I think these two are not like night and day unrelated. I'm considering whether I'm going to marry person X and I'm considering whether I want to open a lemonade stand for my career. I don't think they're going to be unrelated. If work is involved, it might be. How does work, how does my career fit with my relationship? Do you see what I'm saying? So I think these two happening so closely together are going to be connected.
Speaker 1:If you want to get a hint on what this Mercury stuff is all about. Think back to March 1st. That was Mercury's first pass across the North Node, okay. So whatever was going on on March 1st or right around then, that's going to give you some hints into what you're dealing with this past. Okay. Then, like I said, when both of the planets turn direct and cross back over the north node, that's when our karma, our fate, our destiny is revealed. We're ready, we get it, we're aligned and we move forward. So we're almost there. We're almost there Again. I know how frustrating this is Trust me, I do but it's really important work to make big, deep, life-changing kinds of progress, or you know how to grapple with these issues so that we can really make those deep, deep, deep changes. Okay, so I hope all of that makes sense. I really do.
Speaker 1:That was a lot and, as always, you're going to look to your house. Where is Pisces in your chart? That also is going to give you a lot of information about what area of life this is kind of hitting you in, right? So let's say, venus is relationships, but is she a work relationship, a love relationship, a family relationship? Third house is sisters and she rules sisters or siblings right. Eleventh house is friends. First house is relationship with yourself. So it is very possible that you will have the kind of general signification like maybe you are dealing with an ex -lover who's returned, but if Pisces is in your 11th house, you may also be going through something very similar with an old friend. So it's not always either or, but that house placement is usually significant, all right, okay, I've gone on a really long time.
