Cosmic Kick in the Pants: This Week's Eclipse Might Be Just What You Need
Destiny comes knocking during this week's total lunar eclipse in Pisces! When cosmic forces align with the lunar nodes, we experience those unmistakable moments that forever alter our life's trajectory. This powerful eclipse on September 7th marks a pivotal point in the Pisces-Virgo eclipse cycle that began in 2024 and continues through 2027.
Many listeners are already feeling the intense pre-eclipse energy that typically surges in the two weeks leading up to the main event. If you're experiencing sudden endings, relationship shifts, or unexpected changes – you're right on cosmic schedule. These aren't random disruptions but fated redirections aligning you with your soul's journey. The South Node in Virgo asks us to release rigid structures and perfectionism that no longer serve our growth, while the North Node in Pisces calls us toward greater intuition, creativity, and spiritual surrender.
What makes this eclipse particularly potent is its connection to Jupiter's trine with the North Node on September 1st, suggesting that whatever leaves now creates space for expansive new opportunities aligned with your destiny. Those with Pisces or Virgo placements (especially Sun, Moon or Rising) will feel these shifts most profoundly, but everyone is invited to become the artist of their own life during this transformative period. Like children engaged in make-believe who fully embody their imagined worlds, we're encouraged to envision and manifest beyond our conditioning. Even if the eclipse brings challenges, remember – when fate closes a door, it's always making room for something better aligned with your soul's purpose. Subscribe now to navigate these cosmic waters with clarity and purpose!

Hello and welcome to Pisces Moon Astrology. I'm your astrologer, kate Leonard, and I'm excited to explore the stars with you. Hi everyone, welcome to the week of August 31st through September 7th. I'm actually going a day over this time because, of course, the eclipse is on the 7th. All right, let's just jump right into it, because I don't know about you, but I have already had some fated endings and all kinds of eclipsy things happening. I think I mentioned in my last episode that I really feel like eclipse energy is strongest the two weeks leading up to the eclipse and, like I said, I've already had a relationship end and things like that. Wow, wow. So let's just jump right in. As I said, on the 7th we've got the total lunar eclipse in Pisces, all right, so that's the Pisces-Virgo axis, but the moon is actually in Pisces. So this is going to have a whole lot to do with fated release of emotional baggage and outworn structures, and it's going to increase or enhance spiritual unions and creativity, because we know, when fate throws us an ending, it always has something to do with making room for a new beginning. So that's what we're talking about.
Speaker 1:And, yeah, before we get into all the details, just let me say thank you so much for being here. Thank you for listening to the podcast. I truly, truly appreciate you and if I could ask you to please share the podcast, spread it, spread the news far and wide. If you know any astro people, please get them to come on over and follow the podcast. And if you could go in and give it a five-star rating or thumbs up or whatever people do. If you could do that, that'd be super cool, but if not, I'm just glad you're here and that too, is super cool. Also, I want to announce a very rare event, and I'm not just talking about the eclipse, but for any readings booked between now and September 13th, you get 20% off. So go to PiscesMoonAstrologycom. You can see the services I offer and there's a little contact button. Just press that and it'll take you to my email and you can talk to me about getting booked. So I don't run specials very often at all, but for eclipse season and, I don't know, labor Day here in the United States and whatever you want to call it I'm running a special right now. So I would love to read for you and if you haven't had your natal chart done, I promise you it makes all of these planetary aspects and things make so much more sense and they will be so much more meaningful.
Speaker 1:Okay, getting into the astrology now, before we get completely focused on the eclipse, I do want to tell you I was actually torn. I think if the eclipse energy hadn't been hitting me so hard, I think I would have talked about this other aspect going on this week, but the eclipse is so intense already I had to do that. Anyway, the other thing happening is we have this beautiful trine between Jupiter and the North node, that's Jupiter in Cancer, still exalted. This is a beautiful Jupiter and the north node is in Pisces. That's part of this eclipse energy. This goes exact at 18 degrees and that's on September 1st. We're going to be feeling this all week long and it's going to be mixed in with the eclipse energy because, of course, the nodes are part of what makes an eclipse. But this Jupiter North Node moment that we get is going to have to do with faded expansion. I think it's very exciting. It's a beautiful, beautiful aspect that's being formed, but it's also going to be connected to the eclipse.
Speaker 1:Okay, so let's get into the main event. It's big, it's very big. Like I said, I've already been feeling it and an eclipse occurs when either a new moon or a full moon is connected is very, very close to the north and south lunar nodes, and we know where the nodes are, that's where destiny is, that's where fate is, and what happens during an eclipse is it's like a jolt of energy. We are forced down our path, we are sort of given a giant kick in the behind to get going in the right direction. Let me try to be clear here.
Speaker 1:It is is always one of those times where, when we look back, we're like, yeah, thank goodness that happened, because I was carrying around all kind of baggage that I had to let go of or whatever. I was not on the right track exactly. And it usually involves that we've been clinging to something a person, a job, a situation, a home, a friend. You know it doesn't matter, it depends on what house is being affected, but we're usually clinging to something that is outworn, that needs to go, and the eclipse is like, yeah, I got no more time for you, I got no more time for this, you got to get moving. Fate is calling, destiny is calling. So we do look back and go. Yeah, that was a turning point in my life. It was for the best all of that, but I do have to say that the going through it is not always that much fun. Now, definitely, it hits some people and some signs harder than others. I should say it hits some charts harder than others.
Speaker 1:If you have your sun moon or rising in Virgo or Pisces, boy, howdy you're going to get hit. You might guess from the name of my business that I am a Pisces moon. It's in my 11th house. That's friends, that's my tribe, and this eclipse is hitting me exactly on my moon Moon. One of the things is emotions. This eclipse has a lot to do with letting go and in the house of friendship. Guess what happened to me this week. That's all I'm going to say, because I don't want to talk about it, even though I've just been talking about it, but you get how you put this together.
Speaker 1:Oh, and another thing, before I get into all of the details about how this is going to play out, this has been going on. This eclipse cycle actually started in 2024 and it's going to finish on February 20th, 2027. That's when we're going to have our final Pisces Virgo eclipse. All right, so this is like so many other things that we've been talking about this year that we're going to get a jolt now with this eclipse. We're going to get a jolt later on this month, although not as strong, because the solar eclipse coming later this month is a partial, so we won't be feeling that as strongly. But anyway, this is not like a one and done. This story is going to play out as we move through the whole eclipse cycle.
Speaker 1:What I am not saying is that if you lose a job, a person, a situation, a home, whatever it is, this week, I'm not saying that person, thing, whatever, is going to come back. Could it happen that there's some back and forth? It could. More often than not with eclipses, though, we learn a lesson. As we go past one eclipse, you know we take a step down our path of destiny. You know we move forward a little bit and then, when the next eclipse comes, we course correct a little bit more. It usually isn't the same as like retrograde energy, where we go over a thing. Let's say we have a breakup and then we retrograde and we get back together and then we go over it thing. And let's say we have a breakup and then we retrograde and we get back together and then we go over it for the final time and then we break up for real, for real, right. It's not usually like that. It's usually where whatever happens happens. We get a course correction, we go to the next eclipse and we correct more.
Speaker 1:So into the details, this is a full moon eclipse. That's what a lunar eclipse is. So think of it in some ways as like a full moon on steroids. That's why I'm saying there's very likely to be some kind of ending or something brought to completion this week. Ending or something brought to completion this week. The difference between a full moon and an eclipse, a lunar eclipse, is there's more of a jolt, it's bigger, it's faded, it's intense and it's like a bomb going off or a kick from behind, right, it usually just isn't like oh, now I recognize that I need to let go of X, y, z. It's usually something that gets brought up in real life and there's some kind of boom. There's a fight with a lover that ends a relationship, some drama happens at work and you either quit or you're fired or whatever. It usually isn't just a slow, smooth awareness. Does that make sense?
Speaker 1:The other thing to keep in mind through this whole series is this is the Pisces-Virgo axis. Pisces is about intuition, spirituality, creativity. It's about that inner knowing. It's about subjective knowing. Virgo is the opposite. It's earthy, it's detail-oriented, it wants clear structures. Pisces is the ocean. Pisces has no structure. It's about riding the waves, riding the currents. So this is the axis we're on.
Speaker 1:The south node tells us what we're letting go of, and that's Virgo. We are supposed to let go of some of the previously important structures in our lives. The north node in Pisces, we're supposed to be relying on ourselves, our subjectivity, our inner knowing. This, if you think about it, is totally echoing the Saturn-Neptune conjunction that's been playing around all year. Saturn structure all year, saturn structure, neptune dissolving structure. They've been asking us to really look at the structures of our lives and consider which of these is outworn. What can we let go of?
Speaker 1:This eclipse is saying okay, you've been doing this all year, you've had enough time, and kaboom, let go of that structure, that relationship, that whatever it is, and get moving. Instead of taking little baby steps, it's time to leap across the, the I don't know thing. You leap across whatever. It is. All right, you get what I'm saying, but this is very much faded. So when this thing happens to you.
Speaker 1:I know when I went through the loss that I went through this week, I didn't feel all Pisces Zen about it. Even though I'm a Pisces moon right, and that should come sort of naturally to me. I wasn't all Pisces about it and so now I'm looking at it I'm like, okay, you know, I see what has happened and why it's happened and I'm bringing this into myself, but I didn't start there and that's kind of this Virgo Pisces tension we've got going on. You may want to have a very material meltdown first and then go grab the meditation cushion. You know what I'm saying. It can be a little rocky, but the goal is to accept, learn the spiritual lessons and move forward. Now the other thing that actually can happen, and you're going to like this bit a whole lot better. So here's the good part coming.
Speaker 1:We may also be meeting people or finding new opportunities that come out of you know who knows where, right, they just spring up in front of us that are also faded. We could very much find that we're ending certain things, but other faded beginnings are already coming in, because that North Node in Pisces is where the moon is, that's the growth place, so it's really supercharged. It is very possible that you break up with somebody on Tuesday and on Thursday meet somebody new that feels very, very soul connected. I'm not saying that's going to happen to everybody. It certainly hasn't been my experience this week but it very much could. So fated beginnings can also come about this week. It depends a little bit on just kind of how it's hitting your chart, and I guess it also depends a little bit on how long it takes for each of us to process whatever it is. But no matter what, do not despair. The fated beginnings are coming. I promise you they are Okay.
Speaker 1:In addition to all of that, I wanted to throw out there that Pisces is like the waters of creation. Think the water that existed before the world was spoken into being. Think the amniotic fluid Is that what it's called where babies are floating around. You know what I'm talking about. Think about those waters that we're floating in as we're becoming little humans. There is something deeply creative about this area of life that's going through expansion. So for creatives and artists and writers and all those people, this is going to be a time to really access those deep, deep wells of creativity, that connection with the universe or that connection to higher mind, where the art, whatever it is, just flows. But if you're not that kind of artist, think about being the artist of your life. This is the energy that literally spoke the world into being right.
Speaker 1:So think about not living a life that's defined by some kind of external rules, even if now I always say this and some people don't get what I mean by this. So I'll try to be clear. Those external rules may be very internalized Parental voices, social constructs, all of those kinds of things get embedded so deeply inside us that we think we're following our own rules. But very often those are the rules we were taught when we were learning to be good boys and girls. You know what I mean. Like if we were really allowed to make our own rules, those might not have been them, but they feel natural to us. This is a time to be the artist of your own life.
Speaker 1:Think back to when you were a kid and you played make-believe. There's a point when you start playing make-believe I don't care what thing. It is right Whether you were playing with baby dolls and playing doctor, I don't know cowboys, whatever y'all played right. But when you're playing make-believe, there's a place. When it starts, when you know you're playing make-believe. It's like, okay, you're going to be the doctor and I'm going to be the cowboy and we're going to do blah, blah, blah. Right, there's a part where you're making it up and you're very conscious that you're doing so. But when it gets going in that child's mind think back to when you were a kid and you're in that moment space that kids get so easily. When that world is real, there's a place where the pretend goes away and we're living it, we're in it, we're doing that. I'm really the cowboy or the doctor or the nurse or whatever the heck. You're being right when it is so real like you forget that you're making it up. This is that kind of energy. So for you all who are actual artist artists, yeah, but for everybody else, you're the artist of your life.
Speaker 1:If you were make-believing it, what would it look like? What would your role be? What environment would you be in? Would there be fairies and mermaids? You know what would there be? And this is the energy. This is that true deep soul art. When you can make it real, it's glorious. I don't necessarily love every single step in the getting to it but, like I said, it's right on top of my moon. It won't be that for all of y'all, but, yeah, if there are bumps along the way, that's just an eclipse. Hang with it. Have the tantrum you need to have and then get back into that Pisces energy. Have the tantrum you need to have and then get back into that Pisces energy. Go into your intuitive, inner knowing space and make your life brilliant. And remember this is all fated. This is moving us toward our destiny. It's good, right, it's really good. That's what I've got.
Speaker 1:I am wishing you the most I don't even know what to say easygoing, painless, smooth bumps. I don't know what to say. I'm wishing you the best possible eclipse season and, yeah, thank you again. So much. Thank you for sharing. Please, please, please do the sharing and all of that. I can't tell you how much it helps me. And you for sharing, please, please, please do the sharing and all of that. I can't tell you how much it helps me. And until next week, go out and seize the energies of the stars. This is my wish for you always and, yeah, I'll be thinking of y'all while we're going through this. Bye.
