Grand Trine Power With A Tender Heart

Kait Leonard Season 1 Episode 67

Ever been told the “new moon” is the perfect time to start fresh—only to feel like the cosmos hands you an ending instead? We open with a crucial reframe on lunar timing, separating the balsamic dark moon of release from the first light of renewal.

From there, we shift into a grand trine linking Mars in Scorpio, Saturn in Pisces, and Jupiter in Cancer. I share why Mars in Scorpio shows up as the noble warrior, ready to dive beneath protective ice and fight for what’s real. With Mercury riding alongside, the week favors intellectual honesty—drafts that finally say the hard thing, conversations that clear the air, and creative work that stops hedging. Saturn adds backbone and boundaries, turning raw drive into a repeatable path. Jupiter contributes warmth and expansion, scaling your plans with care rather than chaos so progress actually sticks.

We also track the fated feel as the North Node brushes Saturn: timely introductions, resources you needed but couldn’t name, and tools that land right when you commit. Then we forecast the late-week T-square with Venus in Libra, Jupiter in Cancer, and Chiron in Aries. It’s not destructive, but it can push “too much, too fast” in love, money, or pleasure while old wounds flare. The fix is pacing and presence—keep the optimism, slow the timeline, and let boundaries hold the container so growth remains nourishing.

If you’re ready to face your truth, build structures that honor your sensitivity, and let your life expand with intention, this is your week. Press play, align your timing, and put that grand trine to work. If this resonates, follow the show, share it with a friend who needs a cosmic push, and leave a quick review to help others find us.

SPEAKER_00:

Hello and welcome to Pisces Moon Astrology. I'm your astrologer, Kate Leonard, and I'm excited to explore the stars with you. Hi everybody, welcome to the week of October 26th through November 1st. And we've got another Grand Shrine week coming up, and this time Mars is involved. So this is definitely some different energy than what we've been talking about recently. And yeah, let's get into it. First, I want to thank everybody for being here. I know I've been sort of so enthusiastic in the past couple of episodes, so I've kind of left that off to the end. And I just want you to know that you are, you are never out of my thoughts, and I am always, always grateful. I'll be running a new special coming up probably in November. I just have to kind of finalize what I'm gonna offer. Prices are going up in January, absolutely, not very much, but they are going up. So if you want to get on the calendar, even if you're not gonna actually see me until after the first of the year, lock in this year's prices. That is my suggestion. And before we get to the main event, I was talking to a good friend of mine this week about something that happened last week or over the weekend really. And it connects to the new moon or it connected to the new moon. And I kind of want to share it just really briefly because I think the moon and moon phases is one of those really, really misunderstood and oversimplified things in astrology and in witchcraft or pagan practice for a lot of people, especially for young practitioners. And I also want to apologize for my slurred speech. Let's just get that out of the way right now. I bit my tongue really, really badly. And let's just say it's not working well. So there's nothing I can do about the slurring. Please know that I'm aware of it. It's just that I haven't been drinking. I'm recording this at like five o'clock in the morning. So for real, for real, I haven't. Okay, let me talk to you about the um new moon that just passed. And very sadly, and I'm gonna try to hold it together while I talk about this, but I lost my beloved dog and my best friend. And for those of you who know me, you know what animals mean in my life. And my animals really are my immediate family, and um, it was devastating. He was a senior, he had lived a very, very long good life. But I want to talk about the astrology, all right? So the new moon was hitting in my sixth house, which is pets. It's many things, but one of the things it is is pets. And people think of a new moon as always being that new beginning, that good positive energy. And rarely do we connect a new moon up with death. The new moon is really a misnomer. Okay, the new moon is actually at least two major phases: the balsamic moon, when the moon is headed toward the sun. At that point in time, it's like a kazimi or a combust planet. We talk about a lot. When a planet is too near the sun, what happens? You can't see it, right? You cannot see it. So the balsamic moon, or we call it the dark moon, that is when there is no moon visible in the sky. And that is always about endings. The cycle is over, right? At that point, we think of it as like the spirit in the underworld waiting to be reborn, but definitely not reborn. All right, so that is exactly the phase, the balsamic moon, when I lost my beloved dog. And I know a lot of endings breakups. The friend I was talking to had a breakup during that exact lunar phase. So just know that until the moon gets to the other side of the sun, that's what we really think of as the new moon. When it's that little sliver, that beautiful little line, that crescent line in the sky when it first appears, that's the new energy. If you're thinking about those intentions you want to set, about abundance and new love and all the stuff, that's the energy you want to get. If you're working on banishing or shadow work or hexing or um, if you're setting intentions to end addictions or cravings or bad habits, when you want to let go of something and send it into the underworld, that's the balsalmic moon. And these happen very close together, but new moon isn't just new moon. So that's why I tell everybody when you're doing your circles and your intentions and your all your stuff or your spells, whatever it is you do, be careful about your timing. That more than any other. The full moon doesn't work the same. Full moon is full moon, kind of this side or that side, right? But the new moon has quite different energy when it's in its balsamic phase and then in its truly new moon phase. All right. So I wanted to share that with you just because it really, when I was talking to a friend who went through this breakup at the same time that I was losing my best friend, I wanted to share that because I hear people getting that wrong all the time. Okay. So that's just a little bonus freebie for everybody right now. And um, let's get into the main event: the Grand Trine with Mars. All right, so you already know it's yet another Grand Trine week, which means we've got some energy that is flowing really, really well. Okay, I love a grand trine. That is a circuit board that is just charged and humming and doing its best. We've got Mars in Scorpio. He's the ruler, he's the king on his throne. So y'all know I always say this: Mars is either the noble warrior or the psycho killer, right? When he's in his own kingdom, he is absolutely the noble warrior. And Scorpio, in Scorpio, what we get is Mars giving us the energy and the drive to really go deep. Whatever it is we're going into, we need to go deep in it. We need to find our emotional truth, and we need to have the courage to face that and to deal with whatever that means, good, bad, or indifferent, right? Well, emotional truth is rarely indifferent, but you get what I'm saying. But Mars in his glory will give us the courage we need. So just that alone says that a lot of healing energy is available, right? We've got the energy to go deep and do the work we needed to really get to the bottom of things, chip through the ice, that layer of protection that we've put over our emotions and our feelings and all of that, and really go in there, plunge deep and do what needs to be done. So look at where Scorpio is in your chart. What kind of things are you going to be getting done? What are you going to be working on? First house, are you working on yourself? Are you facing your emotional truth so you can come out more authentically? You and Mars, the noble warrior, is there ready to defend your truth? I love that. Is it in the fourth house of home and family, right? Are you going into family issues and saying, let's get to the bottom of what's going on? Let's defend this family and fight for it in for whatever reason, right? And in whatever that means for you. Seventh house is your primary relationship, tenth is career. So where is Scorpio for you? What are you ready to fight for? What are you ready to defend? I love it. So the first leg I want to talk about on the trine is the trine to Saturn in Pisces. Saturn is not usually something we're all excited about, except in this kind of case. I say it all the time. Mars is initiation. Mars likes to start things, it likes to fire things up, it likes to rev the engine, right? And then, you know, it can kind of go over here and do something else and start another fire. And it's right next to Mercury for the beginning of the week. Oh, and I didn't say this. Grand Shrine goes through the whole week. That's why I haven't given you dates. We start the week with it and it goes all the way through. For the first half of the week, though, Mercury is right there, conjunct Mars. So expect a lot of intellectual honesty this week and expect a lot of, you know, communicating this truth. It's not like we're gonna just go deep and then, like, well, okay, I have faced it, whatever the it is, right? It's like, no, Mercury's right there, and at least at the beginning of the week, we're gonna need to speak our truth. For artists, writers, all of you people, this also means going into your projects, going into your creative energy, especially you writers with Mercury here. This is really about plumbing the depths and communicating, writing, but other artists as well, you know, communicating your vision. Then we've got that trine over to Saturn in Pisces. Look where Pisces is, that's where Saturn is. So we're talking about where you're doing the hard work, where you're setting boundaries with the North Node, very destined placement. So Mars is training that Saturn. Saturn brings the ability to work hard, to set a high goal. Okay, I've gone deep into myself and I've faced my truth, I've defended myself, whatever that is in this situation. And now I'm going to firm up my boundaries if that's what I need to do. And I am going to um stick to it. I'm going to set a very high goal. Saturn rules Capricorn, the mountain goat who climbs to the top of the mountain, and I'm going to reach these goals. And nothing is going to stop me. Because when you get Mars, the noble warrior and Saturn, that I will get my prize, right? I'll get there. When you've got these two together, I dare somebody to get in your way. Bring it because you're not going to stop us, right? I love this. And just to drive this home, as if we needed any more, because I just like that trine alone, they both then finish the triangle, make the other two legs of the triangle to Jupiter, the greater benefic, still exalted, that's as strong as Jupiter can be up in cancer. So what is cancer? Nurturing. So this isn't only warrior. This really is bringing to Mars that noble warrior, but there's a nurturing quality. We will take care of whatever this situation is. So we've got the goal, and now I'm going to add some nurturing to that. Yes, I'm going to be the warrior. Yes, I'm going to be the Saturn stick-to-it boss, right? I'm going to be the Saturn administrator, right? CEO or whatever that is. But I'm also going to nurture this along. It's not going to be so cold. Mars and Saturn together, even though Mars is fiery, but still, it's that yang energy, or traditionally we call it the male energy, right? And again, that's for any gender identity, whatever. That's just that old language we use. Let's think of it as yang, right? Mars and Saturn are so, so yang. And Jupiter in Cancer brings that softer edge. Does that make sense? It's gorgeous. Also, Jupiter always expands. So whatever we're doing, whatever we're putting our energy into this week, we are going to be also making it big. So whatever this truth is you face, you may find that your life somehow just gets bigger. The plan gets bigger, the goal gets bigger, the relationship gets bigger. You're writing your book and now you're planning the sequel, right? There's something about expansiveness. You may find that this energy that you're bringing to yourself, your own personal relationships, whatever, you're sort of sharing with others and it's becoming a little contagious, even, you know, and other people are like, yeah, I want some of what you've got. Not in the bad, weird, jealous way, in the like your motivational kind of way. I hope that made sense. And again, the north node is very close to Saturn. And so there's a destined quality in whatever we're doing, right? Anytime we throw a node into the picture, you know, we've got that sense that this is faded. So also expect that there are going to be faded connections. Grand Trions are all about connecting things, right? It's a triangle connecting three planets. Got the north node there. Expect faded connections. Like you're trying to get something done, you've got your eye on the goal, but there's still the how-to, right? There's still the like, what are the nuts and bolts? I want to achieve this giant goal and I know I will, but how though? You know, like what are the specific things that I need to put in place? Or what tools do I need? That's where the north note is going to come in. And just bring faded meetings, tools falling into your lap, gifts that just come along out of who knew? So it's super, super good, super faded. I think this is an important week for all of us. And I'm very, very excited uh to get into it. I as far as the grand trine goes, I don't really have any negative, you know. You know how we I always have that warning at the end that, well, but okay, in all honesty, I do have it. It's coming right now, but it's not about the grand trine. I really honestly do not see any bad thing. I don't see any warning. I don't think, you know, Jupiter has that tendency to make us go over the top. It can make us too exuberant, except it's trining Saturn. Saturn is not a festive guy. Saturn doesn't do exuberant. He's gonna give that stability to Jupiter. So while we're gonna be expansive and big and optimistic, Saturn will anchor us and not let us get wack-a-doo with it. So I really, the grand sine, I'm telling you, I don't see anything bad here. I think we're gonna be focused, I think we're gonna be goal-oriented, and I think we're gonna make stuff happen. It's good, it's good, it's good. I love it. And just a little thing happens for the end of the week. We do get a T-square. You know how the Grand Shrine is like the very best thing? Yeah, the T-square is probably the most difficult, and we get one. Let me just touch on it very, very briefly. It is not going to negate the trine, but I do want to make you aware of it because you guys are very good about always getting in touch with me later about you didn't warn me about XYZ. It's like, I know I can't touch on everything, but yeah, that I would feel a little guilty if I didn't warn you about this square coming up. This is starting on the 29th, and then it actually picks up energy to as it moves through the end of the week. And actually, I think it's gonna be at its strongest probably on the weekend. So happy beginning of November. At this point, we've got Venus in Libra, so a strong Venus making a square to um Jupiter in Cancer. So again, those are the two benefic planets, and they're both strong. Jupiter exalted, Venus in rulership. We would think that that's only good. And ultimately, I have to tell you, I do think it's gonna be good. It's just gonna take some navigation. And then we've got Jupiter making a square to Chiron, the wounded healer. Think trauma, emotional pain, that kind of thing. In Aries, the self, the individual. And then Chiron is making an opposition, that is exactly what it sounds like, to Venus. So the good thing is the two benefics are strong and they're in this triangle. So this is not going to be devastation. I'm not predicting like things blowing up, but it is stuff that's gonna need navigated. When you've got squares that aren't like the worst squares in the world, like you've got these two good strong planets involved. It's not going to be bad, but it's gonna, there's gonna be some friction that we have to get through to get to the good. So Venus and Jupiter together, that's exalted love, that's expansive love, that's growth in relationships, that's new relationships. It's all good things, right? Except there's some tension here because of this square. So there may be some things that need to come to light with Jupiter and Cancer. It may be that you're asking too much of someone or someone's asking too much of you, and you have to kind of calm things down. It's this kind of thing, all right? You meet a new potential partner on Wednesday. And by Friday, this person wants to run to Vegas and get married because Jupiter gets crazy wack-a-doo expensive. So you just met this person, they want to go to Vegas. You are very interested in this person, but maybe not marriage in Vegas today. You know, like maybe you could eat a pizza together first or something, you know what I mean? Take a little minute. Um, so it's that kind of thing where it's not bad. You just might have to consciously slow down. You might have to consciously rein in Jupiter. And here's the thing: y'all know how you are, how we all are when Venus comes in. I am a Taurus ascendant, Taurus rising. So Venus is my ruler. I want sugar. I want it always. I want a lot. I'll eat three Snicker bars, the vegan ones. And you know what I mean? Like reining in my sugar cravings, I will hurt you. I will hurt you if you get in the way of my Snicker bar. Okay. So it's that kind of thing. Venus also likes luxury and likes feeling good and all of that. Jupiter's like, let's do it. And you know, somebody's got to get sane and say, let's do it maybe next week, that kind of thing. So it's not the worst, but you know, be aware. And then we bring Chiron into. Now, this is where it gets a little more serious. We've got Chiron who's going to bring up old hurts, old baggage, old traumas that you might have to navigate while you're going through whatever this sort of expansive thing is. You might have some old issues come up. So let's go back to the story of that new lover who wants to run off to Vegas. This may be bringing up some things out of your past, like the last time you thought you were getting close to that uh big event and it fell through at the very end, and you carry some trauma. Could bring that up, and you have to use that Jupiter in nurturing cancer. You might need some nurturing to get through it. Okay, so that's all I've got time to go into with this. It is gonna be good and ultimately healing, but there could be some tension involved with it. Just expect that at the end of the week and try to avoid running off to Vegas. All right, I'm gonna leave it there because this has already gone way too long. I hope this has been helpful and meaningful. And um, yeah, thank you again for being here. And as always, go out and seize the energies of the stars. This is my wish for you always, and I will talk to you next time. Bye.
