When Destiny Squares Your Distractions, Wisdom Wins
The sky draws a hard line between noise and meaning as a Gemini full moon locks into a grand cross with the Sun in Sagittarius and the lunar nodes in Pisces and Virgo. We walk you through why this configuration feels heavy, how it signals fated turning points, and what to release so your time and energy align with your true aim. Rather than piling on tasks, the cosmos asks for courage: prune the distractions, honor the big-picture target, and trust the deeper current pulling you forward.
We break down the week’s key transits in plain language. Venus trines Neptune, a gorgeous window for art, imagination, and soft-focus romance—beautiful, but not the moment for irreversible choices. Then Venus sextiles Pluto, offering an intentional path into deeper intimacy, honest financial moves, and values-driven decisions if you’re willing to seize it. As the week closes, Mercury trines Jupiter and lifts the mood with inspired writing, clear pitches, lucky conversations, and expansive thinking—fuel you can use to navigate the pressure without losing grace.
Expect tension, yes, but also clarity. We explore the Gemini–Sagittarius polarity—busy versus aimed, information versus wisdom—and show how the nodes push a karmic shift from Virgoan micromanagement to Piscean trust and compassion. You’ll get practical tips to handle squares and oppositions, questions to identify what to let go, and a six-month lunar check-in to connect today’s culmination with seeds planted in late May. If you’re ready to trade applause for alignment and movement for momentum, this guide will help you find the middle ground and choose the next right step.

Hello and welcome to Pisces Moon Astrology. I'm your astrologer, Kate Leonard, and I'm excited to explore the stars with you. Hi everyone. Welcome to the week of November 30th through December 6th. Oh my gosh, we are gonna, we're gonna be done with this year so soon, right? And I know some of us are applauding that, except the astrology next year. Yeah, it's a little challenging, but I will do an episode on that one later. Um, for now, let's talk about this upcoming week because it's not as cluttered and busy as last week, but wow, is it heavy? I am calling it a week of faded culmination, destined endings. And I'm not calling it this, but all of that is happening to prepare us to move forward toward our destiny on our right path. It's gonna be big, it's gonna be important, but it's gonna be challenging. And let me explain why. I know we've been talking a lot about the grand trines that we've been in, but there's a sort of equal and opposite configuration, which I think I've only talked about on this podcast maybe once before, but it's called the grand cross. Picture two oppositions crossing, right? So we get a cross. And then if you connect the ends of the cross, you get squares. These are the most challenging aspects in astrology. I talk a lot about t-squares. A grand cross is two T-squares stuck together. So um, this is just challenging. That's what I'm trying to say. What are the oppositions? This is what makes it interesting and faded and karmic. We've got the full moon, which is the opposition of the moon and the sun, right? The moon is in Gemini, the sun is in Sagittarius, and they are squaring the lunar nodes. The nodes mark fate, karma, destiny, and they're squaring this full moon, and it's a lot, it's a lot. Now, before we get all hung up on the fact that it's a bunch of squares and two oppositions, remember that the ancient astrologers always believed that any aspect is better than no aspect. No aspect, there's nothing to work with. It's just silent, right? There's no means of communication. Even with challenging aspects, we have something to work with. There's dialogue, okay? So let me just lead with while this is, I believe, going to be a challenging and important week, it's good. But before we get into all of that, let me tell you some of the other things that are going on this week. Like I said, it's not quite as cluttered, but the things that are happening, um, some of them are pretty important. On November 30th, we've got Venus trining Neptune. This is like the fairy princess. This is like fantasy and art and creativity and love, but in a very romantic, maybe idealized way. Y'all, if you're dealing with love through this transit, don't like do anything permanent until Venus moves away from Neptune later in the week. Because honestly, those rose colored glasses, it's a trying. So I don't expect the worst. I think this is a really lovely aspect for anybody working in creative artistic areas. Oh my gosh, this is art. It's creativity, it's fantasy. I love it a lot. I love it a lot. But when we're dealing with relationships, give it a minute. Make sure those Neptunian glasses aren't on. Okay, and then on December 2nd, we've got Venus sextiling Pluto. Remember, a sextile is an angle of opportunity. You have to grab this energy if you want it. It is not gonna force itself on you. This is all things Venus. We are talking about love, relationships of all kinds, money, luxury, beauty, women, art, all kinds of good stuff. And Pluto, deeply transformative. So again, this is really great energy, and I would seize it if I could, right? And then on December 6th, we've got Mercury making a shrine to Jupiter, expansive, lucky Jupiter and Mercury. These are big ideas, inspired ideas, inspired conversations, networking, all kinds of good stuff in the area of Mercury. You writers, December 6th, and right around that, few days before, few days after, this is your energy. Go make great art. All right, all of that said, let's get into this grand cross. As I already said, we've got the moon in Gemini and we've got the sun in Sagittarius. Those are crossing the north node in Pisces and the South Node in Virgo. All right, so just right off the bat, we know that a full moon has to do with culmination. It is the highest point in the lunar cycle. It's that highest point when we're the seeds that we plant on the new moon are now bearing fruit and coming to their fullness on the full moon. And we will immediately begin the waning phase of the moon, which is about release, letting go, and preparing to move on to what's coming next. So think back to the new moon that we had a couple of weeks ago. And what were your intentions? What storyline has been in place since then? Because this is going to be a time when we reap the fruits, right? We've planted those seeds. Now the fruits are in the trees, on the vines, wherever fruit grows, and we get to harvest that fruit. But we also prepare to like to keep using this metaphor. We prepare to turn over the soil. Apply that to your life. What areas? Look at your natal chart. Where's Gemini? That's the full moon, where the light is shining, and Sagittarius, where the sun is, right? And we don't see the sun, we don't think of the sun during the full moon, but it is still shining somewhere. These are the two areas. We've got Gemini, that's activity, social connection, that's being busy. And we've got the sun in Sagittarius. That's slowing down so we can see the big picture. So, what story has been playing out for you in these houses or in these themes? How busy are you? Have you lost sight of the big goal because you are so busy? You know what a full moon like this in Gemini makes me think of? It's like that person who feels the moon is our feelings, our deep truth, our inner self. What makes us feel safe and comfortable? In Gemini, what makes us feel good is busyness, activity, um, lots of social connection and social recognition. So it's like that person who they think they're successful, popular, loved, apply whatever word you want to apply here, because their calendar is jam-packed every waking minute of their lives, right? It's like, look how important I am. Look at my calendar. I don't have 12 minutes to just sit down. That's a little bit what a full moon in Gemini makes me think of. How have we been letting busyness make us feel like something's happening and something's important in our lives? What are we letting go of? What are we not noticing during a full moon? A full moon cannot happen without the sun. The full moon does not shine without the sun. So the sun is over in Sagittarius. Sagittarius, like I already said, is the big picture. Are we forgetting the big picture, the five-year plan, the kind of work or the kind of activity, whether it's in your relationship effort that you put in or your job, whatever, apply it to the house in your chart occupied by Sagittarius? But how have we gotten so busy? You know, it's that forest and trees thing. How have we gotten so busy, so stuck in the details, so running around that we actually aren't doing a very good job of like moving forward toward the real goal? Remember that Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter, the guru planet. How have we been so in our monkey mind? Is that what it's called? I think so. How have we been so in our monkey mind that we're forgetting to be in our inner wisdom? This is what this full moon is about in some way, somehow, and it's about release, let go, let go of some of the need for attention, popularity, let go of thinking that busy is success. Even in relationships, you guys, sometimes we keep people in our lives because they fill up the space. But is this person really the one? Is this person gonna get you to your ultimate goal? I don't know what that goal is. Is it, you know, marriage and children? Is this person that you're spending all your time with that person? If not, let it go. Let him go, let her go, let them go. So this is part of what's going on this week. And I know that when the focus is on letting go, a lot of us are immediately bummed. It's the way. And when we've got it going on in Gemini, we really don't like to let go of all our stuff, all our distractors. Now let's bring in the nodes, okay? Because this is where it gets heavy. Heavy, not necessarily in a bad way, but in the sense that events are gonna happen this week that are destined, faded, karmic, because that's what the nodes are about. That's kind of all they're about, right? We've got the north node in Pisces, the other Jupiter-ruled sign. So, what are we bringing in? The wisdom of Jupiter, both of the houses, both of the signs where the sun is and where the north node is, both of those are Jupiter ruled. We need to get into North Node in Pisces, the depths of our wisdom. We need to deep dive the ocean, like get really into our deep truths, not our little like, oh, I want a cookie. Not that brain, right? You can tell I've been on a sugar bender recently. Oh my gosh. Anywho, we need to go deep. We need to really be willing to let go of the stuff that might be fun, might be good distraction, might be filling up our dance cards so we seem like the pretty, pretty princess with our dance cards full because we're so popular. Yeah, we might need to let go of some of that stuff and get back into what's truly deeply meaningful and what will ultimately move us towards our real goals, right? Those big picture Sagittarian goals. The South Node is in Virgo. So who rules Virgo? Mercury. Who rules Gemini? Mercury, right? Mercury is about um thought and communication and social interaction and all of that stuff, also business. But Mercury is not considered. I mean, it's not that he's not wise. He has his gifts, right? But this is where the South Note is in one of his signs. We're supposed to be letting go of that detail, is every little thing that control, letting go of the need to control every little thread of every little detail, all the little picky stuff. The South Nose node says, release it. Do you see the themes that are coming out this week? And all of the faded destined forward momentum is in slowing down, listening to the true wisdom, not the Instagram wisdom. That's what both Sag and Pisces have to do with. So we've got aspects, really important ones, but they're challenging to navigate. That's what these squares and oppositions tell us. It's not so easily done, what I'm saying here. Like just go walk by the beach, turn off your phone for a minute. It's all good. No, because the moon, we've got feelings attached to all of this, right? So this won't be so easy. You could all get off the podcast right now and just be like, I got this. I'm gonna meditate for a few minutes. It's not gonna be so easy. It's gonna be faded, it's gonna be big, an opportunity is going to present itself almost like you can't escape it, really. But squares mean you have to be a little bit patient and you have to figure out the way, right? Let go of the irritation. They squares can be aggravating, right? Irritating. You have to breathe through that, that initial irritation, and just open up to your wisdom. Oppositions are interesting because, of course, we all know what an opposition is. It's something opposing. We don't like that word. Don't oppose me. Remember that all of this energy is your energy. Even if it's happening with family, with a lover, with your children, with an art project, even if you're butting heads with these other people, this is still your energy. And you can choose how you're going to deal with it. An opposition asks that we find middle ground. So let's say, you know, this is let's say um Sagittarius is your first house and Gemini is your seventh. They're in opposition, right? During the full moon. And it's sort of like me versus we. There's another person involved here. Yes, but it's all of our jobs to work toward compromise, toward finding the middle ground, the balance. So that's what we're doing. We don't let go of Gemini. Gemini is beautiful. It's the holidays. So one, do we all need to slow down? You know we do. Are we taking time for ourselves? Are we taking time for, say, a one-on-one with our partner, for some special time with our children? What house is Gemini for you? Are you taking some time there, but also setting limits and saying, yeah, but you don't get all my time? Right? How do we find that middle ground? We need to release something, but we don't release everything, right? So what's my big picture? I need to release the things that aren't supporting me getting to that goal. Sagittarius, the archer, the arrow flying to a goal. One other thing, I know I'm getting long here, but I want to give you one other thing. We always talk about the moon cycle, and I just have as being this monthly thing, right? We start with the new moon, it goes full, then it wanes, and next month we get a new new moon. A new new moon. But I want to remind you, it's a six-month cycle that to get us to this culmination. The real cycle is when we had the new moon in Gemini about six months ago, and now we've got the full moon in Gemini. So I want you all, this is your homework. I want you to think back to May 26th, 2025. This year, yes, this year. May 26th, around that time, a couple of weeks before, a couple of weeks after, what was getting launched? What was starting? And what storylines that relate to this big picture, little picture, all that kind of stuff? What storylines started back toward the end of May? Because that's gonna be playing out this week. This is big, you guys. It's gonna have its tension, it's gonna have its frustration, but I think ult, I don't think the nodes are involved. This is our destiny. This is our destiny, and it's going to be good. We're gonna come out in a good place. No, I'm sorry, I've gone on way too long. So I'm gonna stop here. I'm gonna say thank you, thank you, thank you for being here. Please like, share, do all of the stuff. I'm so grateful when you can help me out that way. And I'm just grateful for all of you. I really appreciate you. Happy holidays, happy holiday season, happy deep diving into this week. And yeah, that's all I got. Until next week, go out and seize the energies of the stars. This is my wish for you always, and I will catch you on the other end of this. All right, bye.
