This Week Invites You To Claim The Spotlight And Build A Brighter Future
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
The week opens under a blazing Leo full moon, and we’re inviting you to actually celebrate what you’ve built over the last six months—not with a shrug, but with a real moment that lands in your body. Think candles, gratitude pages, a tiny party for one. That embodied recognition is the fuel for what comes next, because across the sky an Aquarius stellium is already sketching the blueprint for your future. We connect the dots between pride in your progress and a practical plan to scale your gifts for greater impact.
We also unpack a spiky Mercury square Uranus that can spark edgy headlines, sudden insights, or material jitters around money, food, and security. Rather than catastrophize, we frame it as a short-lived prompt to upgrade systems and steady your foundations. Taurus reminds us to ground in basics: rest, nature, skills, and community. When disruptions arrive, curiosity beats panic—ask what the nudge is trying to modernize, then make one change within 72 hours.
Zooming out, we explore the coming nodal shift that tilts the culture away from flimsy fame and toward authentic contribution. Ambition doesn’t vanish; it matures. Keep reaching for the role, the promotion, the creative milestone, and tether it to service so it endures. Together we practice the core polarity of this lunation: Leo’s inner glow and Aquarius’s outer mission. Celebrate who you are now, then put your mind, heart, and will behind building the world you want to inhabit. Subscribe, share this with a friend who needs a win, and leave a quick review to help more listeners find their light—what are you celebrating this week?

SPEAKER_00Hello and welcome to Pisces Moon Astrology. I'm your astrologer, Kate Leonard, and I'm excited to explore the stars with you. Hi everyone! Welcome to the week of February 1st through the 7th, and bigger than that, welcome to eclipse season. Now, no, we don't have an eclipse this week, but we are in the season. So if you're feeling all kinds of big, that's a little part of why there's so much going on that's big. But anyway, that's definitely part of why. So it seems only right that we talk about the full moon this week. Not because it's an eclipse, remember, that happens on the 17th. We get an eclipse. But the full moon on February 1st is really the big event of this week. We've got a pretty low-key week. I mean, low-key given all the other stuff that's already been going on, right? Like um Neptune entering Aries and that big old stellium in Aquarius and all the stuff that I've been talking about. Those energies didn't go anywhere. Those are still around. But this full moon is quite a big deal. Now, before I get into it, the only other thing that I want to mention is on February 5th, we've got Mercury squaring Uranus. Now, normally I would be like, okay, you know, a square is a little bit tense, but you know, whatever. We can navigate it. Like I always say, it's better to have any aspect than no aspect, because if there's no aspect, there's nothing to do, there's nothing going on, no dialogue is possible. A square, while we may have some tense moments, there's something to work with, right? So normally I would say, you know, Mercury, Square, Uranus, we're gonna have some edgy time around new ideas, um, thoughts that are popping, popping into our awareness, whether from our own minds or from things that come up in conversation or whatever. And there may be some kind of friction, right? There could be some kind of friction. But on the other side of that friction could be some really amazing, great new ideas that we then have to work with. But Mercury is in Aquarius, part of that stellium. So it's the sign of looking forward, moving into the future. Uranus is in fixed earth Taurus. I'm a little concerned, and I think I have reason to be given the world as we know it right now. I'm a little concerned that we're gonna be having some kind of information coming in in a challenging way that somehow makes us question our security, like our literal security, our physical, like um, Taurus is the ground we stand on. It's nature, it's the food we eat. Um, I don't know what to say. I think this could be a challenging energy. Fortunately, it's quick. We're only going to be feeling it this week, and then you know, Mercury's moving on. But, you know, given everything that's going on, it does feel a little bit worrisome. So if you're getting some kind of weird prepper ideas that you should stockpile some food, I don't know. Who am I to say? Maybe you should. I don't know. You're gonna have to navigate whatever it is that's coming up. But I do think some of us are gonna be feeling insecure in that really material kind of way. Anyway, that's not the thing I'm talking about, and the thing I am talking about is way more positive. So let's get on to the full moon, February 1st. This is what starts our week off. So we're gonna be feeling it a couple of days before even. And this is a full moon in Leo. Now, remember what I always tell you a full moon, this moment of culmination. This is not the culmination of only our last new moon, right? This is the culmination of the new moon in Leo. So we get a new moon in Leo, and then about six or so months later, we get the full moon in Leo. So I want you to think back to July because that is when we had the new moon. So think back. The new moon for most of us was on July 22nd. That maybe adjusted a little bit, depending on what time zone you're in. Because hi to all you people from all the countries outside of the US who are listening to the podcast. I love you guys so much. I can't even tell you how like honored I feel that people from other countries would be listening to me. It is just awesome. And of course, to my US listeners, thank you so much. Thank you, thank you, thank you. You, you're my people, and I'm grateful. That's all. Anyway, back to the moons, right? I want you to think back to the end of July. What's been going on since then? What intentions did you set back then? And what's been happening since? Because that's what we're here to celebrate. I actually attended a workshop with Astrology Hub. I don't know if you all know them. You can find them on YouTube and online and stuff like that. Anyway, I was at a workshop today and um the speaker was making a very big deal out of celebrating our accomplishments, right? Not especially with Leo. Leo is about recognition and fame and shining in the spotlight. It's the only sign ruled by the sun. As you know, most planets rule two signs, but Leo, the sun, that's it. It's the spotlight. There's only one spotlight, right? There's only one star of the show. There's only one center stage. And we need to claim it this week. We need to stand in the spotlight and say, I rock. Look what I accomplished over this last six months. Look at the intentions you set. And if those manifested the way you hoped or even better, absolutely celebrate those things. Sometimes what happens, y'all, we set the intentions and then they manifest. And we're like, oh, that was cool if we even register, right? Sometimes it's like a big deal to set the intention, and then we just kind of let the accomplishment, the manifestation of those intentions, we just kind of let them slip by. And yeah, maybe we're happy or we're grateful or whatever, but do you throw a party for yourself? Do you really celebrate? This is the time to do that. Look back over any of those intentions that manifested. Celebrate those. Like give yourself a party. And if those particular intentions didn't manifest the way you pictured them, what did you accomplish during this last six months? What can you celebrate? And what should you celebrate, right? It's not only, well, you know, I could celebrate that I got my new puppy, but you know, it's just getting a new puppy. What that my new puppy is like an amazing addition to my life. And maybe I need to celebrate what you have done. It can be things you've actually done. Did you complete a project? Did you get a promotion? Did you get the courage to say something to someone that you've always meant to say? You know, it doesn't have to be like um I graduated from college, right? It doesn't have to be like that. It can be like, you know, I did way better on my workout goals. It doesn't have to be perfect. You can celebrate that you did a little bit better. So really sit with it. This might be a time to take out the gratitude journal or the regular journal and devote some pages to gratitude and really think back over six months. What's happened? What's wonderful? I will tell you right now, given the state of this country and the world, we really need to celebrate what's great, celebrate what's good, celebrate what's just kind of good. No, maybe that's going too far. But you know what I mean? The small things, the personal things, celebrate them, accept the spotlight. That's what this week is really about. And we hit that energy just right out of the gate, right? This is the first day of the week we are being asked to celebrate. I say, let's make this a week-long party. Okay. Now, I want to also look at this because, of course, a full moon is the opposition between the sun and the moon. Anytime we have an opposition, the goal is to find balance. The sun is our soul's expression in the world. It is our ego, but not in that you're an egomaniac kind of way. It's our public self. It's the self that the sun shines on. It's our visibility, it's our reputations, it's it's who we are out in the world. It's our soul's expression. I know I already said that, but I want that to sink in. It is our soul's expression in the world. The moon is quite the opposite. It's our inner self, our inner truth. It's our body, it's our feelings, it's our emotions, it's what keeps us comfortable. So it's like that inner truth and inner reality. How do we balance these? How do we balance these? We've got the moon in Leo. We need to feel our own awesomeness. Does that make sense? The moon in Leo is saying, feel it, let yourself have it, let yourself truly internalize this glow. Let the light in. In, right? Let the light inside you and really allow yourself to feel that I rock. I do good things in the world. I'm part of the the goodness. I'm part of what shines. Let yourself feel it. That's why it's important to do real celebration. I do not mean, y'all, that you should go out and go, yay, that's cool. I'm celebrating. That's cool. I'm gonna put an extra sugar in my coffee. I'm not talking about that. I mean celebrate. Take yourself out, buy yourself a cake, light some sparklers. No, don't do that. They're bad for the environment. But you know what I'm saying? Like, actually celebrate, really celebrate so that you can feel your awesomeness. The sun is in Aquarius, and it's part of that stellium, that forward-looking stellium that we started this year with. I think my podcast a couple of weeks ago was about that stellium going through Aquarius. It's it's everything, right? It's the personal planets and Pluto over in forward-looking Aquarius. Bring all of your gifts, all of your energy to how you want to move forward. So there's this balance of like, I am gonna celebrate who I am now and what I've already done. And then I am gonna put my thoughts, Mercury, my feelings, Venus, my whole soul's intention, the sun, my passion, Mars, and my willingness to go deep inside myself for my deepest truth, Pluto. And I am going to apply all of that to creating who I am moving forward, to creating the world that I want to be a part of. So we're celebrating what we've already done, we're celebrating standing in the light, but we're also creating the future. How glorious is this? I know I'm getting all excited, right? Do y'all kind of make fun of me a little bit when I get all worked up like this? I can picture some of your faces. I know some of you well enough to. I know I can picture those faces. Anyway, it's okay. I get it. I make faces at my own self. Okay, here's the other thing, and this is a big old giant deal. This is why you know I never do like new and full moon things. It is so rare for me to focus on that. This one's that kind of big. You know how I've been talking about we have to dissolve the old and move into the new. Mid-year, this year, the nodes are gonna change axis. The south node, the node of letting go, is going to move into Leo. Personal fame, personal recognition. I want to be famous because I'm awesome. I want to be rich and well known and center stage because I'm awesome. It's fine to feel all of that, right? I'm talking about that spirit of I want fame for fame's sake. That whole influencer culture that's not really about bringing something of value to the people, their audience. That's fine. That's totally fine. I am not in any, I do a podcast. I am not in any way trashing, quote, influencers, right? But there are the influencers who are just gonna jump around from this product to that diet to some other workout routine or whatever, because they're not really in it to bring you value. They're in it because they want fame and fortune, right? That's the whole motivation. I'm talking about that kind of thing. That's gonna be a thing of the past as we move into this new age that this year is opening up with all of the outer planets changing signs. We are going into a new world. And that flimsy fame, I don't know what else to call it, the vanity fame, yeah, that's gonna be a thing of the past. People are gonna be in that Aries energy about, like, I'm sorry, I've I have my own wisdom. Why do I need you for my wisdom? What are you offering me that enhances what I'm trying to do in my life? So I'm not saying fame isn't possible. I'm really talking about one certain brand of it that we've been seeing recently. What are we moving toward? The north node, the node of destiny, the direction we're moving in. That's moving into Aquarius, mid-year, you guys. Depending on what calculation you use for the nodes, it's either going to be late July or early August. Everything's changing. So, do you see why I thought it was so important to start with that stellium that we had starting from January? We had that stellium in forward, forward-looking Aquarius. The node of destiny is gonna move into forward-looking Aquarius. Aquarius is a humanitarian. Please think big on this. It doesn't just mean like, let's go feed the homeless, though, please, God, let's go feed the homeless, right? But it's it's just how do I make the world better? How do we move into a truly new but better world? And how do I contribute to that? Okay. So as we're moving forward, that's going to be the energy that takes over. So I find it very interesting that now, pre-nodal shift, we've got this culmination happening in Leo and Aquarius. Yes, we are supposed to celebrate our accomplishments. That's where the moon is, and this is a full moon. So that's the focus, right? But it's culmination, it's an ending. All of that stellium with the sun. So the sun is the other piece of a full moon. All of that stellium with the sun is over there in Aquarius, while each of us celebrates our own accomplishments that have occurred over the past six months. Also made me think about, like, okay, I rocked it. What do I want to do next? And how does that thing that I want to do bring me what I want? I'm not saying be selfless. That's not what Aquarius is about. We're part of the community that we're making better, right? So it's like when we look out at everything going on right now, what is that old cliche saying that's like if you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem or something like that? I think this new phase that we're going into is going to require us to start looking at that. It doesn't mean that you aren't going to go out and Audition for acting roles, or write your book, or paint your painting, or go for the promotion at work. It doesn't mean you're not going to do those things, but who is the you showing up there? And around those biggie things that are maybe your own life accomplishments, what else are you doing? It's a lot. I don't want to keep saying this. I really don't want to keep saying this, but I feel like I have to. Neptune in Aries always has connected with war. I think we can all see that energy, that possibility. And even if we manage to not go to, well, there are wars all over the world, right? But even if we don't go to like the World War III kind of thing, you know, it's it's tense out there. And I think we have to look at it like, how do I respond to that? How do I contribute to the good? We each have to ask those questions and we're each going to come up with different kinds of answers. And I think this is a beautiful full moon where we're going to learn that balance of like, I am celebrating myself because I'm awesome. And I am also putting energy to who I am in the community and how I'm helping to move us forward in a good way. This full moon is asking us to look at both of those things and find balance. And I think that's beautiful. And I hope you do too. And I hope all of that makes sense. And yeah, go have a party. And I want to see pictures. Like send me pictures, email, Substack. Go go over to my Substack. You'll like it. It's free. And yeah, I hope this was helpful. I just hope your party is awesome. And so until next week, go out and seize the energies of the stars. This is my wish for you always. Bye.
