In this episode, hosts Lee Murphy and Charli Corcoran talk to Tim Goodman and Nicola Cuthbert from the Edinburgh Technical Collaboration (ETC) — a partnership between the University of Edinburgh, Heriot-Watt, Edinburgh Napier, and Queen Margaret University.
The ETC is creating opportunities for technicians across the city to connect, learn, and grow through mentoring and job-shadowing. These initiatives help technicians gain fresh perspectives, build professional networks, and share skills across institutions — while mentors and hosts also benefit from reflection and collaboration.
With the next cohort launching soon, Tim and Nicola share how the programme came together, what technicians can expect from the programme, and how technicians can get involved in October 2025.
