Technicians: We Make The Difference

What does it take to raise the profile of technicians and inspire the next generation to consider a technical career?

In this episode of Technically Scotland, we’re joined by Michelle Rae, Director of Communications at the Gatsby Charitable Foundation, to talk about the Technicians: We Make the Difference campaign and its work to celebrate technicians and highlight the wide range of opportunities available.

We discuss why technical careers are still often overlooked, the importance of role models, and how people can find rewarding careers through different routes into work , not just the conventional academic path. Michelle also shares insights into the campaign’s work, its plans for the future, and an exciting book celebrating technicians, including Scottish stories.
