Welcome to Untamed Leader: the pulse that wouldn’t go away

Welcome to the Untamed Leader Podcast. Wait. Maybe the last time you were here, it was called the Soulful Speaking Podcast. If that's true for you, you are in the right place. Soulful Speaking has evolved into Untamed Leader. Near the end of last year, I heard the words Untamed Leader ringing in my mind. And at first it was just those words. Something felt vibrant and alive. They landed in my body almost like a drumbeat. Meanwhile, I asked for more and I got a little bit more information. There was a pulse, an energy, and a knowing. And over time, as that pulse grew stronger, it became clear that this is the next chapter. So the podcast is evolving. Soulful speaking is being renamed and expanding into Untamed Leader. Not because I'm leaving speaking behind, because for me, the soulful speaking work has always been about leadership. Soul-driven, intuition-guided leadership. The kind that lives in the creative tension between presence and vision. The kind that stands fully in awareness and acceptance in presence with what is, while choosing and moving toward what could be. The kind of leadership we need right now. Throughout my life, I have found myself again and again and again leading through chaos. I have become deeply attuned to what leadership asks of us in moments like we are living through now. The kind of leadership created, forged, revealed through uncertainty, the kind that knows how to move through chaos without becoming it. I've spent decades leading people through threshold moments when what was working no longer works, through that chaos toward alignment on the other side. Not by controlling the storm, it can't be controlled, but by helping leaders remember who they are inside the storm that they're facing. It's time for me to step more fully into that with this show on this platform and in all areas of my life. I believe that leadership is a sacred art that weaves together three essential threads. Vision, create, inspire. To really be an untamed leader, we need to have a vision for what is possible, the better world that we're here to create. Creating the creativity, the journey, being able to be fully present in this moment while also making creative choices to move toward that vision one choice at a time. And inspire, inspiration is speaking our vision in a way that lights other people up and calls them forth and invites them to join us on the journey. Soulful speaking has always carried one of those threads. Voice is vital for all leaders. It always has and it always will matter deeply to me. And it's time for me and us to stand in all three. So on Untamed Leader, you will still hear episodes related to voice and soulful speaking. You'll also hear ones related to our vision as leaders, our creativity, the journey as leaders. Some episodes will have all three. All of them will have a through line of untaming. Because leadership isn't about control. It's not about detachment in the name of presence. It is not about bypassing reality. It is about standing fully present with what is here now while holding that vision for what could be and making choices that move toward that vision. Untamed choices. Nothing cookie cutter can help us with that. What helps us is untaming from every version of ourselves we were told or taught we had to be, so that we can see clearly move with intention and inspire others with our own one in eight billion radiance. So this name change to Untamed Leader is an expansion. It's also a return home. Welcome to Untamed Leader. I'm taking a breath, having just wrapped season two, full Untamed Leader episodes will begin again soon, probably with a few mini episodes in between.
