It's Time to Rise Up
Keys to Healing and Wholeness with Seantell Coffey Pt 2 - 42
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Sickness is scary enough without spiritual confusion layered on top of it. So we sit down with Seantell Coffey to get brutally clear about what the Bible actually says about healing and what it does not say. We talk about why calling a diagnosis a “blessing” can quietly distort your view of God, how Scripture frames sickness as something God redeems rather than something He gives, and why the heart of Jesus is repeatedly moved by compassion to heal.
We also tackle one of the most debated passages in Christian healing teaching: Paul’s thorn in the flesh. Seantell walks through the language of 2 Corinthians 12 and why “messenger of Satan” matters, then gives practical encouragement for anyone stuck in a long healing journey: if you haven’t heard a clear no from the Lord, keep praying. From there, we get real about how faith grows, why testimonies build expectation, and why it’s wise to guard your circle when you’re fighting for healing.
Then we zoom out to the deeper layers: seeking God while navigating doctors and medication, letting peace lead decisions, and asking the Lord for prayer warriors who won’t quit. Seantell shares major “keys” that can block healing, including ungodly fear of God, trouble receiving love, unforgiveness, and open doors to darkness.

We're excited to jump in. I would recommend you grab your journal, your Bible, a pen. You do not want to miss the content that we're sharing tonight on the podcast. So let's just dive in to the rest of this healing series. Yeah, for sure.
Amber SampsonSo, Seantell, I've heard people talk about their sickness, their diagnosis is actually it's a blessing. And so um, what would you what would you say to that to people who talk about their circumstance in that way?
Seantell CoffeyThat's good. I hear that many times. And I think the real blessing is that God can bring good out of sickness because that is what he does. But sickness really is never mentioned in scripture as a blessing. It's always mentioned in a negative way. Even in Deuteronomy 28, I the very first time that I really study this, I could not believe some of the things that was in this passage because this passage talks about curses and blessings. And it's basically, it was to the Israelites, and he was laying out if you follow my ways, you're gonna walk in blessing, and if you don't, there's gonna be curses. And many sicknesses were listed in here. Things like inflammation, fever, wasting disease. I was astounded. In one translation, I think they even use tumors uh to describe what they're talking about. And so we need to really get clear that sickness was not a part of the blessing of God, but good can come out of it because that's what God does. Right. He is good.
Paul’s Thorn And Keep Praying
Kim McIntireAnd I love, you know, even with sickness, we can we can stand on this truth. What the enemy means for evil, our God can turn for good. Amen. That's right. That's right. You know, I've heard people talk about Paul's thorn in the flesh as an example of, you know, there are times when God will allow you to suffer and not relieve it. How would you respond to that?
Seantell CoffeyThat one is a good one. And I've done quite a bit of study around this. So I want to read to you the passage in 2 Corinthians 12, 7 through 10. It says, So to keep me from becoming conceited because of the surpassing greatness of the revelation, a thorn was given me in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to harass me to keep me from becoming conceited. Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this that it should leave me, but he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. So there's a few key words I want to point out. You guys know I love my words, and I if you can get a good um like a concordance on your phone to look upwards, it's gonna help with this journey as well. Yes. But the word um the messenger there is referring to an angel or messenger, but this one is of Satan, and it says it's to buffet or to harass. And that means when you're looking that up in the original, it's to buffet, and it means to rap with a fist, to punish, or to chastise. So, number one, this is from Satan. It's very clear it is from Satan. The next word I want to look at there is infirmity. And so we can we can look at this, and when people refer back to this, I've heard things like um that Paul had eye problems, and you know, there there was difficulty with his eyes because of some passages. But infirmity doesn't necessarily have to be that it's um uh a sickness. It could be, it also could just be a weakness or an inadequacy that a person has. So Paul was persecuted heavily, and this is this is the view that I want to present to you, and then I want to give you a couple of other thoughts around it. But we know that Paul was persecuted heavily. He was beaten, he was in prison, he was shipwrecked. There were multiple things that he he was a part that happened to him in his journey. And so when it's talking about infirmity, it also could be talking about a persecution. And the reason that I want to point this out is because when they're using the word thorn in the flesh, there's three other times in scripture. In Numbers 33, 55, they use terms like pricks in your eyes and thorns in your sides. There's another reference in Joshua 23, 13, talking about scourges in your side, thorns in your eyes. And in Judges 2, 3, it talks about thorns in your side. Every one of those are referring to persecution. So it's similar language, but it's persecution. So I'm not I'm not saying this is what happened here, but I am saying this is a possibility, that the messenger of Satan to buffet him or harass him was ongoing persecution. And Paul was pleading to be done with that. The other thing I want to point out is even if Paul's thorn was a physical ailment, I want you to note that he prayed fervently three times. And then the Bible says that God spoke to him. He got a word from the Lord, and it was enough of a word that Paul accepted that and moved on. But the Lord told him, No, I'm not gonna remove this uh this situation from your life. So, my encouragement to you is if you are praying and you have not heard a clear no, keep praying. Don't stop praying because sometimes your journey may take a while. And I don't want you to get discouraged and give up. That's a good word.
Why Jesus Healed So Often
Amber SampsonHow long was your healing journey, Seantell? Twenty years. Twenty years. Wow. Um so in the Bible and the gospels, we see that um Jesus did so much healing. There were many miracles of healing. Why do you think that, why do you think that is?
Seantell CoffeyWell, I've read that there it's estimated that about a third of Jesus' ministry was healing, not only to prove his power and deity, but also because healing is in the heart of God. So some say that healing passed away with the disciples, but according to scripture, that is not the case. There are several reasons why Jesus healed. And, you know, this is who he is. His character exuded healing. He wants us to seek him in all things, and that includes even during sickness, he wants us to ask to seek him. It's written that Jesus was full of compassion multiple times in scripture, and that he was moved to heal because of it. That was the reason it gave. He he was full of compassion and he was moved.
Kim McIntireYes.
Seantell CoffeyI think that's so beautiful. You know, yeah, he wants to show us his deity and power, but he's also showing us his heart. He's moved. There is not one record of Jesus turning someone away who asked him for healing. But there is a record of him not being able to do many miracles because of people's unbelief. In Matthew 13, it talks about that. I think that's interesting. He didn't turn anyone away, but there's times when he wanted to do something and he couldn't do it because of their unbelief.
Amber SampsonSo if I'm sitting if if as a listener, if they're sitting in unbelief, what would be how would you what would be some ways they could stir up their faith to, you know, Lord, I want to believe you. I mean, there's that scripture in the Bible, you know, to help my unbelief. But what would be some things that you guys would suggest stirring up people's faith to believe for that miracle in their life, that healing?
Seantell CoffeyOne of the hugest things I did was besides reading scripture and talking to the Lord, I listened to a lot of healing testimonies and just listened to their stories and what God was doing in their heart. Yeah. In their mind. And it was powerful.
Kim McIntireIt really increases faith. It does. You know. Yeah. Testimonies are faith building.
Amber SampsonYeah, and we've been not to plug our own podcast, but we've got several. We've got several um of miracle stories as podcast episodes. So go back and listen to those. And if you've got if you've got people who are filling your head full of doubt and are not faith-filled, then maybe it's time to um turn turn to people who are full of faith and maybe um maybe consider how much you're spending sharing your circumstances with those people. I mean, I've had I've heard of people saying, hey, if you're not gonna speak in faith, don't pray for me. Yeah. If you're not gonna if you don't believe that I'm gonna be healed, do not pray for me. Yes. Or don't pray for my loved one. Yes. Because I we there's something to that. Yes. Is that what you really b what's your you know, your belief in in your prayer belief.
Kim McIntireAnd words hold power. And so one thing I want to speak into any listener who is sick or someone that you love is sick. I'm gonna go back to the same principle. Surround yourself with people who speak life. And if you only know one person that speaks life, be around that person as often as possible. Because we all need people speaking life, not doubt, not people that will will be an on repeat about the problems that you have, even if it's not physical, maybe it's emotional, maybe it's relational or mental, because some people need to be healed in other ways than just physical. Exactly. And so speak life, right? Right? Speak faith. Yeah, it will change the atmosphere of your heart and mind, body and spirit. Yeah.
Seantell CoffeyAnd if you're around people that don't do that, I would encourage you don't talk to them about your healing journey. Yeah. Don't discuss it with them because they will bring in negativity and unbelief, and it will make it more difficult.
Kim McIntireYeah. It will make it more difficult. Yeah, absolutely. So good. Good.
Seantell CoffeyIsn't it amazing that I haven't found one record of Jesus saying that he wouldn't heal them? Because, well, I just think you need to suffer a little bit longer. There's there's no record of that. There are 14 instances of it being recorded in the scriptures that he healed them all in many different arenas and situations. It was recorded he healed them all. There's 14 of those. That's right. Ask, ask, ask, and keep asking. Don't be afraid to run to the Father and ask.
Seek God With Medical Decisions
Kim McIntireThat's so encouraging. Very good. I know that in the Bible, I'm specifically thinking about two kings with sickness. And I've heard you talk about this, Seantell. Could you just give us some some insight into these two kings? Mm-hmm.
Seantell CoffeyI love this story. I tell this a lot. In fact, I just said it the other day because um a lot of people will come to me and say, I'm dealing with this thing in my life, and the doctor just said this, and um so I'm gonna start down this treatment path or start on this medication. And I love to tell the story because it's just so clear. So in 2 Chronicles 16, verses 12 through 13, it's talking about King Asa. And it says, in the 39th year of his reign, Asa became diseased in his feet, and his malady was severe. Yet in his disease he did not seek the Lord, but sought help from the physicians. And the next sentence says, And Asa slept with his fathers, dying in the 41st year of his reign. I want to contrast that with King Hezekiah, who in 2 Kings 20 it says the king was told he was going to die, and he prays to God to remember his heart and life toward God. He didn't, I don't even think he asked for healing, but he prayed, he turned to God in that moment and he talked to God. And God sent Isaiah right back to Hezekiah to report that he had heard his prayer and he would extend his life. So the lesson from these two kings is that we need to seek God. He is the one that holds all wisdom. We get ourselves into more trouble medically when because we just trust the doctors. We just trust to if they say take this medicine or do this treatment. And I'm not saying not to do that because God can heal through that. Sure. Those are graces that he gives us. Absolutely. But the problem is that when we don't seek him, we just think that's what we're supposed to do. He loves us the most and he is the one that has good for us. He knows the way through. And so we need to seek him about all of that kind of stuff.
Amber SampsonAmen. Yeah. So keep I think we need to be clear. We're not suggesting don't go to your doctor and don't take your medications by any means, but be praying over that. Lord, is this the doctor? Is this the medication that I need to take? Because he's involved in all of it. That's right. And he's blessed us with doctors, with knowledge, with resource, and all of those things. And, you know, praise the Lord for that. But be praying about every step of your journey, every element of your journey.
Seantell CoffeyThere's a verse in scripture, I think it's in Colossians, let the peace of God rule in your heart. And what I do want to say is that as you are going through your medical treatment, you want to walk through it with peace. Take your peace, be led by peace. Pray. If if you go to the doctor and the doctor says, We need to do open heart surgery, go home, get on your knees, get your prayer warriors with you, do some fasting if you can. Seek the face of God to give you the wisdom. And God may say, I want you to have that open heart surgery because that's going to save your life. Or he may say, I don't want you to do that. But I want you to seek the face of God and be led by peace in the decision. If you're told to take a medication and you have peace about that and you've talked to God about that, then take that medication in faith that that's the tool God is using for you. Amen. And don't doubt it, don't be down on yourself. But if he says, nope, I've got a better plan, then trust God with what you're doing.
Finding Prayer Warriors And Praying Now
Heart Beliefs That Block Healing
Kim McIntireYeah. You know, you mentioned if you get this report, go home, get on your knees, pray. I think for most people, I can do that. And then you said, and get your prayer warriors praying. And I can imagine there are people saying, Well, I don't really have prayer warriors in my life. Can I just tell you, listeners, ask the Lord to bring prayer warriors into your life? I have not always had prayer warriors in my life. Right. It wasn't until I would say maybe 10 years ago that I really could say, I have solid, I've been talking, a prayer warrior is a person. If you call or text them, you know that you know that you know they're gonna pray. Right. And they're gonna keep praying until there's an answer, right? And I asked the Lord to do that, and the Lord brought legit, I'm not talking about just a prayer group. I'm talking about mighty women or men of God who will pray fervently and faithfully until something changes. That's right. And they don't give up either. They keep asking, they keep seeking, they keep knocking, they keep believing. And we three do that for each other. So absolutely. You know, we but my prayer for listeners would be that every single listener would begin to say, Lord, I don't have a prayer army. Bring me one and make me one. That's right. Make me a prayer. Is it weird? But I think let's just stop and pray. Let's stop right now. Let's do it. Yeah. So, Father God, we're just my heart's burdened, Lord, for the listeners who who do not have a prayer army to call on. Right. And I'm just asking in agreement with Amber and Seantell right now. Father, would you bring prayer warriors into the lives of our listeners, God? And Lord, if they themselves are not a person of prayer, would you grow them to be a person of prayer, a prayer warrior for the kingdom of God? Lord, each one of us around this table, we have seen you do miracles. We have seen you heal. We've seen you deliver and set free. And so, God, we are continuing to believe that you have the power to raise up prayer warriors around our listeners in Jesus' holy name. Amen. Amen. That's so good. Yeah, absolutely. I'm just, I'm just thinking, you know, as we've talked about, we've talked about a lot of of different things, but what are some other areas, Seantell, that our listeners should be looking into that could be keys to their healing?
Unforgiveness And Healing Breakthroughs
Seantell CoffeyThere's quite a few, actually. So this is one of my favorite topics to talk about on healing. Um, so I want to encourage you that as we talk about each one of these, that you seek God about it. Like get with him, talk with him, look in the scriptures, and whatever he reveals to you, be ready to take responsibility for it. You may need to repent. And all repentance means is just you're turning from your way and you're gonna go God's way. You're gonna have God's mindset on it. You're gonna agree with him. And then be ready to renounce the things in your life uh that he shows you that he doesn't want you to be a part of anymore. So one of the first things I want to encourage you with was um part of my healing journey centered around an ungodly fear of God. Now, we are to fear God with a holy reverence and just to have our proper place of humility with him. But what I mean by this is that I was always trying to clean myself up before I would go to him. I had so much fear that God was going to put more hardship and difficulty on me because I was being punished, because I was doing something wrong. I believed he was disappointed in me. If you don't really believe that God is good and loving, he's loving and he desires relationship with you simply just because you're his child, then you've got healing work to do in this area. I I want to encourage you to seek him in this area because this is huge for you to feel safe and to trust him and to really lean into him. First John 4 18 says, There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. I never understood that verse until I started talking to God about his love for me, and then he just boom, I got it. And it's like, Amen. I I need to be perfected in love because I have ungodly fear. So if you have an ungodly fear of God and you really don't believe his love and goodness towards you, I urge you to start just asking God to teach you about his deep abiding love. Get people to pray over you and that you'll receive it. I have seen people healed from just this one key component. And one of the things I would do is I would literally in the morning, I would put my hands on my head because I I knew. It in my mind, but I didn't feel it in my heart about God's love. But I would just say, God, I pray that you wallpaper my mind with your love and you'll it'll just drip down into my heart and it will fill every cell of my body. That your love will just fill me up. And I would meditate on that. And God did that deep work in me. Another thing I want to encourage you with is if you struggle with Jesus' sacrifice for you and you don't have a clear understanding of what he did for you in his death and his resurrection, this would be another area for you to find someone who really understands what all that meant for you. Because when Jesus died, he gave you a package. You got a gift that's full of everything that you need for life. And so you need to understand what all is in that gift package because that's gonna be what is gonna help you to move through this healing journey. And you need to accept what he did and you need to rest in it because it's a complete done package. Another area to look in is love. So we talked about an ungodly fear of God, but we're gonna talk about love in some categories here. And a great and some questions for you to talk to the Father about. So one question would be: do you struggle to love God or to receive his love? This is important because this can hinder your healing simply because you don't trust him. You may not feel safe with him, you may not feel worthy, you may not see him as good, but faith requires that we see God as a good God that loves us and has abundant life for, and he has abundant life for us. So he wants us to walk in victory, you know? He he calls us triumphant in him, he dances over us, he inscribes us on the palm of our hand. Scripture tells us all these things. He loves us and wants us free of bondage that holds us back from peace and from joy. Another aspect of love to look at and to talk with the Father about is do you struggle to love yourself? Do you hate yourself? Do you dislike yourself? Or can you not receive love from other people? Do you even question that you're even lovable? Do you recoil when others try to come close and express their heart of love for you? Maybe even feeling like they're lying and it's not really true. Guys, this is huge. Please get with the Father. And if this is how you really feel, confess this to him. Be honest. Don't, but don't stop there. Ask him to reveal to you his heart for you and to help you love yourself the way he does. One of the things I would do here is I would literally meditate. I would just put God and I together in a beautiful place, and I he would look at me, and I and he would I would ask him to reveal his heart for me, and he did. And I could see him talking to me in my heart's mind's eye, in my imagination. And it's when I say imagination, I'm connecting my mind and my spirit together, and I could see it visually in my mind. And so I want to encourage you to do that, to get with the Lord. I've seen God instantly heal people of deep heart wounds doing that very practice. It's it's incredible. Christian circles, though, honestly can be the worst at teaching a proper place for love from God, um, from God to us and for ourselves and as we love others. You guys all remember the joy acronym, Joy Jesus other others you. Well, the Bible tells us to love God with our heart, our soul, our mind, our strength, and to love others as we love ourselves. And we forget this. If we view ourselves as lowly worms with no value and believe that this is how God sees us, we are gonna struggle to receive healing. God loves us so much that he came to the earth, lived a very hard life with tons of losses, persecutions beyond anything I can imagine, and died a horrible, painful death all because of his love for us. He is for you, fighting for you, loving you. He wants you fighting for him, loving him, believing that when he made you, he made a beautiful person that has great potential to unleash godliness and joy and peace on this earth. This is the truth of who God made you to be. So do you struggle to love other people? If you don't believe you're lovable, you will not love others, and you will always push people away and be easily offended, upset, angry. And our bodies and minds are not made to live in the stress state. It will cause disease at some point. I want you to hear me on this. It's true. If you don't know how to love, you can't receive love, it's gonna cause a problem in your mind and body. So again, get with the Father, confess it, and determine to renew your mind to Romans 12, that you can be transformed by renewing your mind. Lastly, there are spiritual roots to disease that may need to be addressed. And this is just a few of the big ones. So we've already talked about fear. Satan works wonderfully in the realm of fear and deceit. Another huge one is unforgiveness. And I want to tell you two stories that are amazing. Um, I have permission from these people to share this, and so it's it's incredible. So I at our church, we had prayer time uh during our service, and I had a friend of mine actually come up to be prayed for, and she said, Um, I'm having a terrible time with a female issue, and it's so bad. I've been to the doctor multiple times, I've been on medication, and this has gone on for months, and I am not getting healed. I've even missed work with this. And um so I want you to pray for healing for this. And so my normal way that I pray for healing generally is I'll tell them we're gonna have a three-way conversation with God, and I'm gonna give you just a minute. I'm gonna ask God to reveal anything that needs to be revealed to you, any sin, anything. Because, you know, sometimes we don't know. We don't know what we're missing in that realm. And so, and then I said, once you do that, if there's nothing, fine. If there is something, just confess it, and then I'm gonna pray for your healing. So I lay hands on her and we start praying. And I just said, Lord, if there's anything you need to reveal to my friend that she needs to get right with you, I pray that you do it. And pretty soon she has tears coming down her face, and she just said, I am choosing to forgive my husband of this issue that we have had for I think it was 17 years. I can't remember the number of years, I think it was 17. But God, you're convicting my heart right now, and I'm choosing to forgive him. I'm choosing to forgive him. I said, Okay, is there anything else? She said, No. I'm like, All right, in the name of Jesus, please heal my friend. I pray that she's healed from the top of her head to the bottom of her feet. I pray that this female issue is completely taken care of, Lord. Heal my friend. In Jesus' name, amen. Simple as that. That afternoon, she calls me and she goes, You're not gonna believe this. And I said, Oh, I'll believe it. Tell me. And she said, We got in the truck to go home, and my husband grabbed my hand and he had no idea what we talked about. And he said, I need you to look at me. I need you to forgive me sincerely from the bottom of my heart for this thing that I did 17 years ago. I need you to forgive me. Praise God. And I'm like, Thank you, Lord. Oh my word, that is incredible. Two days later, she calls me. You're not gonna believe this. Oh, I'm gonna believe it. Yeah. And she said, I'm completely healed. Praise the Lord. The problem is gone, it's healed. Wow. And then the other story is another, well, I don't actually don't know if it's a female issue. It was a physical issue. This couple came up, and my husband prayed over him, and it was the same, the same scenario. He gave them time to just, God, reveal anything that's there. Something popped up. She confessed it, repented, and then he prayed for healing over her. They went home and they had more discussion, prayed about it more. She came back a week later and she said, I'm completely healed of this thing.
Kim McIntirePraise God.
Occult Doors And Other Spiritual Roots
Seantell CoffeySo, thank you, Lord. So, what I want to say is that unforgiveness, bitterness, and anger are huge categories that hold back healing. We in Matthew 18, 21 through 25, there's verses and it tells a story of a servant who was forgiven of much, but turns around and won't forgive a little. And the last verse talks about the servant being turned over to the torturers until he forgives. And then those words follow. So also my heavenly father will do to every one of you if you do not forgive your brother from your heart. So we can look at that and go, whoa, that doesn't seem very kind of God, but God loves us so much, he wants us to lay down unforgiveness because he knows that separates us from him. So he is gonna let a little bit of discomfort come in until we lay that down. This is serious stuff, and we don't want to ignore it. And I can tell you that unforgiveness is one of the biggest categories I see with blocks to healing. And if you are struggling with forgiving someone, there's a great YouTube series called 70 times 7. And it's it's a series of eight videos, and it's excellent. It's the best I've seen on helping people walk through forgiveness. So I want to encourage that. That would be so good. Open doors because of the occult is another spiritual route to look into. And there is so much to say on this topic, especially in this day and age. I even advertently opened myself up to demonic oppression from which I needed deliverance. So if if you're participating in yoga, muscle testing, things like asking within yourself, looking at a horoscope, like tarot cards, palm reading, I implore you to stop and repent. Even games like a Ouija board or a magic eight ball are occultic and can open doors to the enemy in your life. And some are some may really not like what I'm about to say, but it is a strong conviction in my heart, especially after the journey I've been through. And I deal with a lot of people that are trying to get free of things, and I see patterns ongoing. And so I want to urge you to just pray about these things and see how the Father leads you. Things like Halloween, Harry Potter, even like kids' movies like Disney have some content with sorcery and witchcraft, horror movies. We make it seem pure and innocent and fun, but as the kids grow, what I see is that it desensitizes them to the truths of God's word. And we just easily become more open to dark things. And as believers, you know, we're told to live in the light and to have no part with darkness. So ask God to reveal to you any areas in your life where you're participating with darkness. And again, I just want to encourage you to repent, you know, just renounce it, turn away from it, remove it, get it out so that you can get free. Amen. All you have to do is do a search on the internet about what the Bible says about the occult and witchcraft. And it will not take you long to see that we are warned over and over to have nothing to do with it. And that if we do, there are going to be consequences brought it brought into our life from the enemy. That's not God doing it. The enemy is doing it. Remember, the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy. But God is warning us of the dangers that lie ahead. He loves us, he's trying to protect us. Besides myself, I know personally two other women who deeply love God and had gotten oppressed by demonic things in their life because of yoga and muscle testing. So the Bible's clear. You know, some people say, well, we need to redeem that for God, but the Bible doesn't want us to redeem it. He wants us to destroy it and not have anything to do with it, not be connected to it. Another spot to look, talk to God about is unrepented sexual sin. It can be a spiritual route that we might not think about. So if you're currently involved in sex outside of a married sexual relationship, I want to encourage you to stop. If you have had sexual relations in the past that were outside of God's design for sex in a marriage between a man and a woman, I'd encourage you to take some time with the father and ask him to bring to mind any and all ungodly sexual occurrences in your life. Even list the names of anyone you're involved with. And then just go to the Father, sincerely tell him you're sorry for each one. Make it clear that you want to follow his path alone. And then two others, curses that are spoken, spoken over you, like family line curses, curses you've spoken over yourself. I hate myself. I am no good. I am, you know, any any words like that that are not life-giving, you need to, you need to go to the Father and repent. Even a Freemasonry, or like if you've had family members involved in sororities or any organizations where they're making oaths, sometimes those oaths actually come down through family lines and can bring about curses in your in your line. I've heard a number of stories with that. And then lastly, I just want to say if you're dealing with a child, the parents looking at their life, their own life, and really doing a deep inventory with the Lord, if there's any spiritual roots in their own life, actually can be a process of healing for their child. There are multiple stories that I've seen online of parents repenting for things and their children, children getting healed of asthma, psoriasis, night terrors, migraines, all kinds of things. So if you have now again, I'm not saying that all children are sick because of the parent sin. Please do not hear me saying that. Right. I'm just giving places to look and keys. And the main thing is get with the father and keep getting with the father because he knows that's right. These are just areas to look at.
Surrender Prayer And Final Encouragement
Amber SampsonYeah. I think that's I think that was a good way to kind of wrap it up is that take everything that is being talked about here and take it take it before the take it before our father. That's right. Talk to him about it. You may say, Well, I don't agree with that. Well, just lay it before the Lord and really have a heart of surrender. Like, Lord, if you're asking me to um repent for the sins of my you know, the sexual sin of my life, you know, like lay all that before him and let him walk you through that. Don't no we're not here pointing a finger telling anybody what to do. But like you said, those these are keys, these are areas um of he you know that God wants to minister to. And again, he loves us so much that he wants to help us get free from the things that are in our lives that maybe we're not even aware of. Or um, so this is some this is a lot, this is a lot of information, but it's also good. So it's valuable, very valuable. Yeah, but be free, be prayerful.
Seantell CoffeyBe prayerful, freedom comes through humility and seeking God's face. So that's really the bottom line. You have to be willing to let Him really get into your life and reveal stuff. But that's where the freedom comes.
Amber SampsonAmen. Yeah. Amen. So I'm gonna pray this out here. So Lord, um, I just I pray for our listeners who are maybe wrestling with some different things that were shared in this episode. And I just pray that they would we would uh have a heart of uh heart posture of humility and surrender to just really be willing to lay down all the things, God, that we would be desperate enough for you, that we'd be willing to set aside um maybe things that we've enjoyed that are separating me and you, that they're separating us, and um maybe those things are preventing our healing from happening. So, God, I pray that the listeners who are wrestling with those things, God, that they would truly have a heart posture of surrender right now. And and that can be hard and that can be uncomfortable, but um, Lord, you make us uncomfortable sometimes in order to take us into those places of healing and peace. And um, I thank you, Lord, that all of this is um with your best interest and and your best interest at heart for all of us. Your intentions for us are good, your plans for us are good, and you want us to walk in wholeness and healing in all areas of our life. And so I just pray for the listeners to um just be willing and um to lay aside the things that need to be laid aside. And um, Lord, I thank you for the healing journey that um our listeners are going through. I thank you, Lord, that you are um renewing our minds over healing, you're changing the way we think over healing. So I thank you. Um I thank you for Seantell and her willingness to share all the things that you've taught her and that she's gone on the journey with you. Her testimony is she's gone on the healing journey. And so uh may we all believe and encourage today. So thank you. Uh thank you for your word. Thank you for how much you love us and at what you're doing through this time together in Jesus' name. Amen.
