so guys we forgot to wish tofu a happy birthday Did we? We just partied with him yesterday. I know. That's why I just remember that we never wished Tofu a happy birthday. He's what? The big five? The big two? Big three? Big five. 35 in human years. Oh, wow. I didn't know that. He's older than you in human years. Exactly. So one dog year equals seven. Well, happy birthday, Tofu. Yay. That was a fun party, though, Rejoya. Thanks for inviting us. What have you guys been doing with Bollywood stuff lately? Do you guys watch anything?

UNKNOWN

No.

SPEAKER_03

I kind of took a pause last week just with all the preps and things going on. But now I think today's the day to really catch up on the 200 pending reels you both sent. I didn't send very much. I was on my deathbed. I also did not send that many. Which reels are you looking at? Which other Bollywood group are you looking at? There's so many notifications I haven't opened. Not from us. It's another group that you're friends with. I think so. The other podcast team that you have. Don't be jelly. I think so. Well, I watched two Malayala movies and they were so good. Malayalam cinema is where it's at. I've heard that. I haven't watched any of theirs, but I've heard they have such good... But I feel a lot of theirs is like so serious and that's not my... No. So that's the thing. I did watch one that's serious. It's like a crime thriller thing. You would love it. It's called Rekha Chitra. So good. The second one I watched is not serious. It's kind of funny, light. It's called Adios Amigos and that's on Netflix. I just watched that last night. Really, really good. There's this one... Actually... Both of these actors I like a lot. One is named Asif Ali. And then the other one's name is Suraj... Some very long last... Malayalam last name that I don't know. But... Both of them are like just average looking uncle type of dudes, but they're acting so natural. It's so good. I recommend both of these movies, Rekha Chitra and Adios Amigos. So good. That one sounds fun. I think I'd watch that one. You'd like it. Do you watch it in its original language? I do because I like to hear their voices. And then you like do the subtitles. I just read the subtitles. Okay. Yeah. I really enjoyed both of them. So what about you, Moni? No, no movies at this time. We'll watch afterwards. Oh, right, right, right. Well... Let's get into it, I guess. How about some Bollywood breaking news? Yes. Did you guys hear Andaz Apna Apna might have a sequel?

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yeah. I did see that.

SPEAKER_03

So I'm excited about it. I don't know about you guys, because I've said before, I think multiple times, that Andaz Apna Apna was... It became a cult classic. But when it first came out, did not like it. So I'm very excited to see that they might do a sequel to it. Because they're also re-releasing it too. Are they going to pair both the original actors? It doesn't say. It's just like their talk. So it could just be hype behind the re-release of the movie. Because they're re-releasing it, I think, April 1st or something in India. So people can go watch it in theaters. So I wonder if there's a hype behind that. That they're going to say, oh, we're going to do a sequel too. So people are going to go watch it or something like that. I'm not sure. But that would be fun to see. If it is the same story. or even if it's just Salman and Amir I think it would be really fun or a cameo of them or something or something like that I think it would be really fun to watch it Yeah. I never watched the first one, but I did like the songs of the first one a lot. I know you said you didn't like the songs. I like it now, but I remember when it came out, I did not like it. I liked them. I thought it was really, like, I thought the picture was really cute too with Salman in a mirror and like, but yeah, maybe I gotta watch it then. We should watch it. We should do like a movie night. Speaking of re-releases, I really think they'd really need to re-release. You sent us the reel about it recently. Thumbin. Yes. Such a good movie. The songs. Everything. Beautiful song. Jagjit Singh and his voice. Oh, those songs are just like so good. Everything about that movie was so good. Choti Choti Bate. Yes. Oh my God. Such a beautiful song. And that was the song that kind of ran through the whole movie. Yeah, yeah. It's such a, it was a good movie. I liked watching it. So good. They redid this movie. They call it Tumpin 2. Yes. I didn't watch it, but I didn't do as well as Tumpin 2. No. I don't, I don't, I think it was like one of those sequels that didn't make sense sequels. Right. I don't know if it was a sequel. I thought it was a remake. No. No, it's not a remake. It's not a remake? Oh, okay. My bad. It was like a sequel that didn't make sense. Like Sadak 1 in like the 80s and Sadak 2, which made no sense. I never watched Sadak 2, so I have no idea. Me neither, but it looks like it's dumb. Which is why I don't know if I'm excited about Andaz Upnapna's sequel because they always mess it up. Butcher it. We told this. We already had the sequel conversation. I know. We said they don't always butcher it up. Stop. Stop. But I don't... I don't know. If Aamir and Salman, like, can they even act anymore? Salman just kind of makes me mad right now. Yo, that one real I sent you. What was he wearing? I don't know, man. He does look crazy. You're right. I don't know. Sometimes he just... I'm just surprised by his, like, just his being at the moment. He was wearing, like, this light blue Louis Vuitton weird-looking shirt or Versace shirt and then a Louis Vuitton black vest and then... A painter's beret. Like, he just looked off. Maybe he was coming from a shoot. No, it's the hair transplant. He's just lost everything after getting the hair transplant. Oh, my God. That was, like, years ago, though. It still can have its effects, okay? All right, fine.

UNKNOWN

All right.

SPEAKER_03

You guys. Hello. I have a question. No. Yes. No. Oh, come on. Eye roll. So how about a breakdown of that movie? Yes. I think we all have a lot of feelings about that movie. Well, I remember liking it. It was one of my mom's favorite movies. Why? She would watch it all the time. I really don't know why. Rithik. It's Rithik Roshan, Rani Mukherjee, and Kareena Kapoor. Yes. Those are the three leads. I liked the songs. I liked all the songs. Songs are amazing. And that medley, Till This Day. Yes. I love that medley. 12 minutes long. I love that medley. But that's a good, it's a medley of all the really, really good songs. Yes, yes. One of my favorites, I think even Till This Day if i see people do that performance at a wedding i love it because it's just a fun fun mix of all these like great wedding songs this movie though is one of those movies that's fun 20 years later to make fun of yes because absolutely plot summary everything is just so overhyped and not overhyped but just overdone you know so let's just jump in This is a Yash Raj film. So it's Aditya Chopra that I believe wrote the screenplay. I'm not sure if he directed, but somebody from the Yash Raj world directed this. Like we said, it stars Hrithik Roshan, Rani Mukherjee, Kareena Kapoor, and then Uday Chopra, I think, is also in a supporting role, isn't he? Yes. Kunal Kohil. I don't know who that is. Director. Oh, Kunal Kohli. Yeah, we know him. He's directed a lot. Kohli. Yeah, yeah. I said Kohil. I don't know why my dyslexia took over there. Kunal Kohli. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's actually really good. He also helped write it, too. So they're both, it was written by other people. Co-writers. Great. Very good. Very good. All right. So, Muni, can you jump in and tell us the plot? The plot. It's such a cool plot, guys. You I don't know this movie about. Riveting. Yes. So they have, there's three friends, childhood friends, and one of them goes away abroad because family, that's what they do back in the days. Like for work or something, right? Yeah, for work. So it's Tina, Pooja, and Raj. But I think we'll, let's use our real names. Okay. So Hrithik, Rani and Karina. There's a love triangle, obviously, right? Because it's two girls and a guy. It becomes a quadrangle. That's a weird quadrangle. That becomes weird afterwards. But let's get there. Pooja, I mean, Rani likes Hrithik. Hrithik likes Karina. And they go and he goes away and he wants to write letters to her. But they're all BFFs kids, right? They're friends. I don't know if they're best friends, but they're friends. Okay, by the way, they're like 10 years old at this point. Right, so they're all buddies. They're friends, whatever it is. And... Raj, we'll break down Raj later, but right even here, he only asks Karina, make sure you write letters to me. Doesn't ask his friend, Ronnie, make sure you write letters to me. It's because he found Karina, even as a kid, like very... bubbly, bubbly, good looking, all of that. So he had a crush on her. Yeah. And he was like, forget Ronnie. Yeah. Again, rude. So he just tells one, one of his friends writes him because I'll write to you and the other one, nothing. Right. So that happens. And then, um, because Ronnie likes her, Rithik, she ends up writing the letters to him pretending to be Karina. So 15 years she writes letters to him pretending, emails, not letters, pretending to be the other person and never tells either of those two people that's what she did. Until... So Rithik believes that Rani is Tina this whole time. Rani is Karina this whole time. And Karina doesn't even know that Rani is doing this. No. No, she does. She does. No, she doesn't. In the beginning, when Tina, when Ronnie tells Karina to like, you know, respond or something, Karina goes, no, you do. No, but you do as you, not as me. Yeah. Write the letter. Write the letter. But then she wrote the letter and signed it off as Tina. Yeah. As Karina. Karina. And then when Hrithik decides to come back to India... That's when Ronnie says, hey, I've been writing letters to him, but signing it off as you. And then Tina's like, why would you do something? Karina's like, why would you do something like that? And now I have to pretend that I know this guy that I like. Because she knows that Hrithik's not going to email her back if she said it was Ronnie. In so many ways, it's so weird. Yes, we all, I remember watching it. I'm like, oh, this is a fun movie. It's so cool. When you think back to it, this is a weird-ass movie. Okay, definitely a weird-ass movie. So let's break it down a little bit further. So what are some of the key points that may have stood out to all of us about why this just doesn't make sense? I mean, first thing first, right? Rodney... 15 years you're lying to this boy this person saying that you're someone else who does that so I wonder would she send pictures and stuff of Tina instead or of Karina instead of I don't remember I don't think no I don't think attachments were possible with emails at that time so it was just 15 years okay they didn't do that because when he comes to India he they don't know what they look like exactly and Tina said doesn't he know what you look like she's like no we never send pictures so when he comes to India it was addressed yes okay so when he comes When he comes to India, when he comes off the train, right? He gets off the train and he sees the two girls there. He ignores Ronnie and goes straight to Karina. Tina, right? Like, that's how he says it. Like, oh, you're Tina. And he doesn't even look, doesn't even acknowledge Ronnie. Pooja but again even through her emails and stuff too he's thinking he's talking to Tina the whole time so like we're like oh Karina yeah that he likes the pretty girl no you screw to the poor kid's head of course he's thinking it's this other girl and you're he's he has a friendship for 15 years with someone else and you you feel bad that he didn't say hello to you yes because he didn't know you exist you never wrote a letter to him as yourself you wrote it the whole time as someone else as Tina or Karina yeah so and I'm sure there was some like sad backgrounds music when they panned over to look at Ronnie. Oh, he picked the tall, clear girl. The hot girl. No, the girl that he thought was writing him. But even then, when they were kids, Hrithik picked Karina because it's the hot girl. And I don't like to say it because they were kids. Both Hrithik and Ronnie are red flags in this movie. Personality-wise. Because Raj comes back from London, but then he never realizes the difference between the personality or the style and the thoughts. Well, he does, right? He does realize it. Like, months later. No, no. I think he realizes right away. He realizes different little quirks and stuff. But in his head, he's like, oh, whatever, right? You know, whatever. Because he's still blinded by her. He's still blinded by the hotness of Karina. Yeah, but she is hot. Like... Duh. Okay. I never thought Karina was pretty. Sorry, in this movie, I thought Karina was very hot. Like, in a lot of scenes, she looked really, really good. Some of her choices were weird, but like, otherwise, not her choice, really the costume design choice, but she was still like, I think there's parts she looked really good. And Ronnie was always dressing frumpy in this movie. Yes. You know what's messing me up about this Tina Pooja thing? So, Karina's name in this movie is Tina. Yes. And Rani's name's movie is Pooja. Yes. But Pooja is Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gam. Yes, and Tina is... Karina and Tina is Tina from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. They're messing us up, dude. It's all YRS. And Raj should be Shah Rukh Khan. So... Yes. But okay, anyway, sorry, side note, side rant. And Karina in this movie is the only character I felt who stayed true to her personality throughout. Like, start to finish. She may have... weird, annoying, or whatever, like, with her bubbliness, sometimes I do. Because she's the, but, she's the Kabikushi Kabigam Pooja character, so they should have named her Pooja. No, she wasn't as annoying as Poo, though. But, like, nonchalant. Yeah, but she was, she was carefree, she was, she, her dad's daughter, she had no mom, so she was, like, her dad, like, adored her, so she had, like, this little spoiled behavior in her, and she got whatever she wanted, she was, like, a little princess, so she did that, but, like, you're right with the red flag with Rani and Hrithik characters they were she was uh karina's character was a good character and she stayed true but also later on when we get the supporting character come in ude chopra he is also true you know actually maybe not i mean i take that back he's also a little weird too because it was weird all these characters that like wrote in this movie i feel like it was just stereotypical um let's make it as I don't know. And Bollywood-y as possible. Bollywood-y as possible. Again, it's a Yash Raj film. That's what you're going to get. Let's everything happen in front of people. Let me, let my best, you know, he's like in that song, the one I just said, the medley is so amazing. He sings a romantic song to Ronnie in the water, in the rain. In the rain. Like romantic scene, right? And everyone's like, what and then he just like starts pointing at it like that's weird like I don't care like what that's a weird scene that that scene everyone's just like praising their performance but they're about to make out and everyone Karina appeared really dumb in this she was like oh my god look they're singing and dancing for me at first she gets a glimpse of it and then she's like oh they're doing but that's when I think Uday Chopra realizes that she likes that there's something between those two yeah smart The smart one in all of this. The smart one in all of this. But also stupid because you agreed to get married to Ronnie. But, okay, we're jumping ahead a lot. Way ahead. Because this movie is all over the place. It is. You're right. So much to talk about. Backtrack, backtrack, backtrack. Backtrack. So, backtracking. Karina ends up falling in love with Hrithik because he's so persistent. Because he's outwardly flirting with her because he's talking to her about the letters, some of the stuff, the content of the letters that they wrote to each other. And then I think Pooja was pushing her too. Why don't you give him a chance? Again, red flag. You like a guy and you're forcing your best friend to like him and your best friend doesn't even know that you like him. You've never even told her that you like him. So this whole time you're pushing your friend to a guide that you like. right and you don't tell her that you like him and then you're pushing him but in her head it's like that you know that Desi thing right it's like oh I'm sacrificing my love for my friend right it's such a it's in so many movies come on fine fine that part right that happens but then she goes to London right she goes to Ronnie goes like Hrithik all this love stuff happens within him and Karina and then Hrithik leaves but then Ronnie decides that she's gonna go to London for something I forget what it was she has an interview or something she goes to London for some interview so she goes to London and that's when like they start hanging out together just them two and that's when Hrithik recognizes because she accidentally starts humming that song right like the Jani something song yeah what's that song? Jani tu something I knew she would know that song that song exactly yeah so she starts humming that song and then he's like how do you know this tune yeah and then he's like well Karina doesn't know this tune every time I brought it up to her she kept like getting confused and threw it out, but all of a sudden... But then the camera does that thing, right? It pans to his face. And then he tells her... Then he's like, it was you. It was you that was writing me all these letters. And this... And this... Revelation happened in a church. So, of course, everything is very stereotypically Bollywood that, oh, once we're together spiritually and religiously, that's when everything connects. And all the background music that's happening in the back, it's like, okay. Yeah. So that happened. He was you. And then she's like, well, you didn't even look at me when he got off the train. Well, yes, because you didn't exist for him. Why would he look for Pooja at all when all he's been doing is talking to Tina, Karina the whole time? And you're purposefully... looking frumpy right by a hot girl. Like, what do you expect? Wait, so prior to this, do Karina and him get engaged, right? Yes. So now Hrithik is like, wait, I don't love Tina like I love Tina Karina, like I love Karina. Pooja, Pooja Rani. Yeah, Pooja Rani. And now... So then, like, when they're in that church, they're like, hey, why don't you and I get married instead? So, when they finally get over each other, like, the back and forth between them, they decide, oh, we should be together, okay? Her best friend's fiancé, who she encouraged... In London, far away from them. Who she encouraged to get engaged to. She encouraged her best friend, mind you. Let's be very careful on this part. She encouraged her friend... To give this guy a chance. The friend does this. Gets engaged. Now she... steals her best friend's fiance and thinks it's going to be all okay. I'm just going to go back to India and tell my friend I took her fiance because all this time he's loved me and I loved him. Where's her love sacrifice now? Exactly what I'm trying to get to. There's no love sacrifice. It's just selfishness between both parties. All right? Selfishness. This sounds like a lot like the cringe wedding that just happened. Yes. It does. It's so messed up. Yeah, exactly. Still here. But the cringe writing, they were jerks, right? They just didn't care. They just did it behind your back. And Kareena Kapoor was part of that too. Anyway. Then they go back to India and they're holding hand in hand, walking, like holding hand. That's how they're going to break the news to her. By holding hand in hand. Her best friend. Be brave. We got this. Then they go and they realize her dad passed away. Karina's dad passed away. So now, dun dun dun, what are they going to do? So then, Ronnie right away, like my best friend's dad passed away. I can't steal her fiance. Girl, you should have stolen him in the first place. You should have written the letters acting like you were Karina in the first place for 15 years. Yes, and then forced her to pretend it was her, forced her to like him, and now you're taking him from him. Taking her, taking him from her. Sorry. But Ronnie knows they're engaged. Rithik knows that they're engaged. Everyone knows they're engaged. But still... What are you doing? Still, I just feel like Hrithik probably had a realization that, okay, you know, many men do that. Oh, I'll be dating the fun, like, hot girl, but then I want to settle down with a traditional bohu type of a thing. And then I feel like he... Then realize, okay, maybe Rani is the one for me. Well, I mean, I don't... So, again, they have issues, both of them, right? But Hrithik was tricked the whole time. Like, he was put in... He was manipulated. Well, he's dumb. He was manipulated. He was manipulated because Pooja never said it was me. And Tina never said it wasn't me. Tina pretended to be her. Yes, because in the movie, you see him picking up slight here and there. Like, how come she doesn't know this? How come this book isn't here? How come these different things? But neither of the girls are saying, hey... So he's just assuming all his conversations with that person was the other girl. So he's going by that. You know, this movie would have been over in two minutes had they just talked, communicated. Well, that's all movies, right? This is a Bollywood movie, though. We don't do the talking. We don't do the talking. We assume everything. Everything is assumption. Yes. Correct. And sometimes our parents do the same thing. We as the audience know. We're like, what are you doing? We're the ones talking to the screen. Don't be stupid. Like, it would have been... it wouldn't have even been a movie had the email response just like signed off by Pooja. Yeah. Instead of Tina. See it would have been a different movie if she signed off as Pooja and the whole time he was talking to Pooja he knew who Pooja was but yeah. No he wouldn't have emailed her back if he knew it was Pooja. But if he came back to India and he's still like Tina then that's a story. Yeah. Then that makes him a really big jerk asshole. He wouldn't have even he would have emailed her he probably because he knew it was Karina he emailed her back like within seconds of getting the email right. If he found out or if he knew it was Ronnie he would been like oh well that's I'll wait a week that was the reason why Ronnie said that she always signed it off as Karina because he wouldn't respond back to her all right okay now where are we so the dad passes away and now they're back and Karina is so happy that she has someone to take care of her right and she looks at Hrithik as that person that this is my this is my new family now because my family has passed away even though I have my other family but this is a family I'm gonna be with I'm a mom I have a dad now and I have this fiance who loves me and who I now love and she should like it her reaction that okay I'm so happy my fiance is back because he's my support system yes makes 100% sense because you're gonna spend the rest of the life and then they also have that twist about like well this is my father's last wish for me to marry you right like that whole like again to get married just to get married yeah yeah exactly because they were engaged right like yeah they're engaged yeah they wanted her to get married so but it's that whole like oh my god I have to do what my father told me to do or whatever. And she liked Hrithik. She actually fell in love with him. She fell in love with him. And then Hrithik's like, let's still tell her that we love each other. And Rodney's like, no. No. We can't. We can't break her heart. I must sacrifice my love again now. Parampara, Pratiksha, Anushasan, all those principles she learned in Gurukul finally came back. She did not learn in Gurukul. She's bringing in another YRF movie. Weird movie too. And then like, then Hrithik is like, I will only marry Tina or Karina if you marry someone else on the same day. Yes, yes. This is so messy. can you imagine life and taking bets with like marriages and partnerships as you know what I will only break up if you also get married to another person it's so messy but it's so good in between that there's like so many other like weird things he's like he's like telling her let's go tell but Ronnie refuses to do this Ronnie is not only ruining Karina's life ruining Hrithik's life ruining her life and then she agrees to marry someone else and ruining that boy So you're saying that Ronnie is the red flag. Ronnie is the villain of this entire movie. Ronnie is the villain. She is the villain. She should have gotten best villains award that year. Because that is what she is in this movie. She's ruining everyone's life. Emotionally. Everyone. Everyone. Because she didn't want to tell her best friend the truth that she fell in love with this guy. She just didn't want to tell her best friend that. That's all she needed to do was tell her, I'm in love with him. And Karina would have been fine. So, okay, we can get to this later. Go ahead. Let's finish the rest because there's one point in here that is just so dumb. I swear, Uday Chopra was just thrown in for the most unnecessary reason, like just to create some last minute tension because his character had no depth at all. He was just like a clown thrown in like, oh, we'll get married. But that's... That's him? In real life, Udit Chopra. Okay, so Udit Chopra's character comes in, okay? Udit Chopra's character comes in. So he's Hrithik Roshan's friend. Yeah, Hrithik Roshan's friend. From London. Yeah, family's like, he's a really good guy. Why doesn't Rani just meet him? And they do end up meeting. And Hrithik likes her. She's smart. She's pretty. She seemed like a fun person. So they become friends. And now Hrithik is all jealous. Even though Hrithik has said, let me set you up. This is my friend. You should marry him. I

SPEAKER_04

think...

SPEAKER_03

I think Rani was trying to make Hrithik jealous too. You think so? Yes. Both of them have these selfish jealousy tendencies that they create these games to mess with their minds. And in the mix, Uday and Karina are like... Karina is the most innocent person in this entire movie, right? She is just oblivious of what's happening. But Uday finds out. Uday Chopra finds out that Rani... is in love like Hrithik and Rani love each other but they can't be they don't want to be together because they don't want to hurt Karina wait he finds out the whole story he finds out he finds out I forgot that scene they do because he's like because there's a part like what are we doing and Hrithik and they talk to each other and they're like what are we doing like we're doing we're sacrificing for the girl we both love like that that's what that was one of the scenes that happened and it's just like what what are you guys doing all you have to do like messing up the remaining years of their lives. Just because Ronnie can't tell Karina that I love this guy. Well, also Hrithik too. Hrithik now owns like part of the blame. No, Hrithik wants to tell it, but she swore that you can't tell her. I'm telling you, she is the villain in this entire movie. Get it? She is the villain. Except she was like appearing as the very simple... Victim. She was seeing the victim that this guy that I have loved... doesn't think I'm pretty enough therefore fell in love with my best friend and I couldn't tell him that it was me who is woe is me and now my best friend lost her dad so I can't tell her and woe is me still now I have to marry this other guy well like the whole time is like look at me I'm so sad look at me I'm so sad no Ronnie you're the villain you created this mess like now you have to fix it she still doesn't fix it Karina is the one who fixes it for her it's Karina at the end that fixes it for her because it's Karina who realizes by the end of it because she sees that Raj's ancestral family bracelets were a better fit on her on Ronnie's wrist than it was on Karina's wrist every other thing that she's seen they were locked in a room together the door was locked the bracelets fit you the bangles fit you that's the reason that was the last piece of her thing puzzle that made it all mixed together because Karina does ask Ronnie in the beginning have you never felt did you not fall in love with him since you talk so many nice things about him and And Ronnie's like, no, no, no, no. He's just my friend. So Karina did ask her that one day they're sitting together in their bedroom and she's like, you never fell in love with him. Like you like say all these nice things about him. You did it. And she's like, no, no, I did. I just think about the friend and that's it. Red flag, Ronnie. Yeah, I'm telling you, Ronnie the villain. RRR. That's how it should have been. Yeah. And then at the very end, like Tina confronts Raj and Pooja, Hrithik and Ronnie. And she's like, don't worry, guys, I'm not alone. I have such great friends that will sacrifice their love for me. That would not have been me. I'm like, you crazy ass. Go F off. Like on my wedding day, like I'm going and realizing that my fiance who I love and my best friend who I've lived with, who I think as my sister betrayed me so badly, was going to let me marry a man who did not love me, but loved her. I'm telling you, Tara's with Aria. Yes. Here's the thing with Karina, though. I feel like she took that decision and still stayed nice because where else would she have gone, right? Because if she cut things off, then, you know, she would lose contact with Hrithik's family. No, the whole family should be against her. You know they're not. They should have been. Everyone should support Karina that these two crazy people were trying to ruin your life. That was going to happen. They just wanted their kids to get married. They don't care who's partnered with who. exactly like the other day in a lake i'm wedding exactly like that no seriously i mean like this is just you're right this is a red flag movie and it's it's insane this movie's insane i don't know i liked it when i first watched i agree i did too i thought it was a fun movie now when i think back i was insane movie it's funny because the title of the movie is like about friendship will you be my friend and this is the worst betrayal of friendship in all lands. That's such a good way you put it because poor Karina is betrayed by all of these people. Everyone. Everyone. Even Uday betrays her. Uday never even tells her like hey do you know your best friend and your fiance are in love with each other? Even Uday betrays her. Everyone betrays poor Karina. So it was based on an American movie like you were saying. It's called The Truth About Cats and Dogs. That's what it was. But then Kunal Kohli the director was like it's not a scene for scene match so it's not a rip off. It's not a rip off. I agree it's Not a rip-off, but the main story. Yeah, because you have the Bollywood-ness to it. Yeah, the Bollywood. It's a little bit twist, different twist to it, but it is the foundation of it. The gist, yeah. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, well, very interesting. Also, if you guys also like Mr. Dosti Karage and never thought about this part of the movie, think about it. Think about the villain. Who the villain actually is. Red flag Ronnie. I do have some good stuff about this movie, though. In this movie? Yeah. Okay. The music. Yes. I do like the music. I really like the music, actually. You're right. Okay. Okay, Rich. Well, we did say the medley, amazing, right? Yeah. And then there's other songs that are so good. There's one song I don't like. I like it. I like that one. Another thing about the- You didn't know what I was going to say. I know which one it is, because I know you. Oh, my darling,

SPEAKER_02

love it. You guys, I have a quick story about that too. Oh, tell me. Did you dance to that? well yeah i dance to every song but in this movie um when i came out i was in mississippi in high school and one of my um we were in college probably yeah no but when i was she was freshman in college graduated college maybe by that time my high school sweetheart at that time um and friend he really tried to impress me or you know like i did graduate from college by the way sorry okay sorry 2002. So my high school sweetheart at that time, he wanted to impress me or whatever. So he actually started playing that song. Because there's a really big drum sequence. And he's like, I'm going to learn it. And he taught himself. And he was like, that's so cute. And that song is still on his playlist. Because he's like, that's one of my favorite songs because the drum scene. And I just wanted to show it to you that I can play. You guys, we got it. We got another dating segment. Yes. Wrapped up, though. I like that one. That's really nice. No, that's effort. Why didn't we marry him? That's so nice. But yeah, Ritchie, the music is really good. I think I like every song. They're so catchy. Yeah. Yeah, they're cheesy and stuff. No, but they're that typical Bollywood album that you're going to want to listen to. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, Ande ki anjani si, pagli si, tiwani si. So

SPEAKER_00

cute. Ande ki anjani si, pagli si, tiwani si. Jaane wo kaisi hoki rey. And a key and Johnny see Pugliese it even EC. John a book as he hoagie Oh, sorry say to pay pay pay pay pay pay

I feel like sometimes our podcast will turn into a karaoke. Between the two of you. Between the two of us. Yeah. I don't hold a note to sing. No, you should. Yes, you do. And then Jaane Dil Mein Kab Se Hai Tu. I like the tune of it. That was the running one, right? It's a running one. And they had the musical flute thing. That's the one based off of the tune. Right? The church tune.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah. Jaane Dil Mein Kab Se Hai Tu. From the time I am here, you are there. I swear on my Lord. I

SPEAKER_03

do want to give kudos with the medley sequence. It's like 12 minutes long. So it was a lot of choreography and, you know, just connecting all the songs together. Because it had a story. Right, right. The songs that they chose connected so well with the story that they were trying to tell. That's why I love it for like oh as I said earlier that at the wedding in a wedding performance this is one of the best medleys to perform to because it just works so well yeah and then also Karina looked so pretty she did look really pretty in this hot pink langa yeah she looked so pretty like I couldn't take my eyes off of her so I can imagine other people that couldn't take their eyes off of her she looked so good she was hot but again that rain scene at that time just made me so mad it was so cringe but it's also also like no one realizes is like really dumb family at the moment yes i know i i mean they have science like what's going on and then he like switches around like oh yeah he was just joking with his friend no that was weird that's weird no one jokes like that with their friend no one does that yeah at your engagement party exactly you can in bollywood apparently yep um but yeah i i mean overall songs are really really good i like rejoia had a boyfriend try to do a drum sequence on one of them which is really really sweet I think. I think it's really sweet too. And I'm sure you danced to it too, right? Yeah. Of course you did. Okay, it is the blind time. Are we ready? Yes, we are. All right. Okay. That took slow. I was reading something. Bollywood and his Superstars fans have been gossiping about his personal life after he went public with his new lady love. As per our sources, it has his two Superstar friends, all of whom have the same surname, who advised him to go public. They told him that he's doing nothing wrong and he shouldn't try to hide it anymore. Okay, we talked about this. The Superstars ex-GF and co-star of several movies is still not over their breakup, which happened sometime back. Do you know the stars? I knew the star from the first sentence. Amir and his new girlfriend, Gori. But are they talking about Sanasek? Yeah. Yeah, I think so. So I got confused too because when I saw his new girlfriend, when did him and Sanasek break up? First of all, I didn't even know they were together until one of you guys told me. And now they broke up. I heard rumors of their affair and things like that. Is that what her full name is? Fatima. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, and so the two star friends that were telling him to go public were Salman and Shah Rukh. They gossip too, guys. Of course they do. They all gossip. Men is not gossip, a discussion, but women is gossip. So we know those double standards. Yeah. All right. Second blind. Good job guessing the first one. It was so hard. Marriage is on the cards for this female superstar and her writer beau. While she was away on her birthday, her parents met her BF's parents to plan for their wedding. More details Shraddha? That's a good blind. Actually, yes. Shraddha. Correct. Good job. Female superstar Shraddha and her writer boyfriend is Rahul Modi. We talked about this a while ago where they like broke up or separated or something. So that's why I remembered it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Like she unfollowed the dog. Yeah, it was something weird. Something like that. Like what? I would take that personally.

UNKNOWN

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, all right. Well, not so interesting blinds, but a little bit more superstar-y, I guess. I guess. Whatever. We need to find better ones.

UNKNOWN

I know.

SPEAKER_03

Vow time, guys. I'm going to start. Mine is again another Telugu song. I'm listening to this new playlist on Spotify and it's such good Telugu songs. So the name is called Premalu.

SPEAKER_01

Premalu It's

SPEAKER_03

from the movie Court. It's really, really nice. Can you send me that playlist? Because I'm always looking for good Telugu songs. Yeah, so Nirthi sent it to me the other day. It's really good. I need it. I'll send it to you. Ridge, what's yours? So mine is is a bit newer this time it's the song

SPEAKER_04

Oh!

SPEAKER_03

And it's from the movie Dopati. And the movie is great too. We'll talk about it one day. But the song is beautiful. That song is just so beautiful. Really pretty. So I saw a TikTok the other day. And it was... So the singer is Parampara. And Sachet is the... I think he's the music director. They're married. And it was her singing while she was making chapati or something. Her singing that song. And he's playing the guitar in the background. It was so cute. But her voice... So good. That song is beautiful. It's a really good song. Really, really good song. Good pick, Reju. That is a good pick. I think you should have gotten last then if that was the case. That's okay. We'll have an extra long section of it. All right, Muni. All right, so I'm picking something from old from my list. It's a song called Pull Up by The Prophecy and Izu. So it's very different from Ranjana. I love Prophecy. He's so good. He's a Canadian Punjabi singer. He's really, really good. And then Izu is also really good too. So they're is a combined collaboration between those two. Lovely. I think I'll like that one a lot. Yeah. Very good, guys. Well, I'll be your friend,

SPEAKER_04

guys.

SPEAKER_01

Not the way Roddy

SPEAKER_02

does. Cut

SPEAKER_00

up.

SPEAKER_01

I'm in love with you

SPEAKER_03

Sorry, I lost my train of thought. I'm good because I coughed. Okay.

SPEAKER_04

All right.
