Welcome back to your point of view. I'm your host, Bridget, better known as IMD Bridget on socials, and this is our first ever reality TV show recap completely about one TV show, and we're covering Love Island, y'all. And I have a special guest who's going to be covering all summer long with me, my best friend Tony. Yay! And if you find her funny, you can follow her on socials at IM Sunny Gray on TikTok. Welcome to the podcast, Tony. Thanks for having me, I am D. Gotta call my name. Tell me about my name. Oh extra. I gotta give the promo words due. So thanks for having me. I am so blessed to be here today. So yes. So Tony has a background in Love Island lore more than I do. I've only been watching it for the last couple years. But how long have you been watching Tony? Since season two of the UK. Can't really add up the years for that, but I've been an avid watcher since season two. Now I have now I won't say I watched every single season, um, but since then, and then for the USA version since the first season, and then the Australian version as well. Hey, so she's international with this. So her opinions, they mean something. She's gonna give us some predictions too on what she thinks is gonna happen with the islanders. But USA just started, we are completely done with week one, and our recap is gonna go all the way until the first island dumping that happens Sunday. And I'm gonna go through all of the islanders so we know who we are talking about. So the original lineup is Bryce 29, he is a DJ and handyman and a model from LA. We have Anaya 23, she is a college athlete from Tyrone, Georgia, Sean 29, he's a police officer from Eton PA, and he's also a dad. We also have Trinity, who is 22, she is a model from Newport News, Virginia, Sincere 25, from Cape May, New Jersey, and he is a NCAA All-American. Kenzie, who is 24 from Kennesaw, Georgia, and she's a nursing grad. KC, who's 23, a nursing assistant from Fresno, California, Melanie, who's 24, she's in LA, and bikini store manager, Zach 26. He is Charlie's brother from the UK, which is like Bringing Birmingham, England. And we have Beatrice, who I am gonna mess up her name. She goes by Bea as well, so I'm just gonna call her that. She's 25, she's a Para Olympian athlete, and she's from San Diego, California. And we had a little bit of a shakeup in this lineup. We're supposed to have two extra original people, but Vasana was removed for saying a racial slur, which I briefly talked about in the last episode. And Gabriel, who's 26, got pushed to being a bombshell. So Gabriel was supposed to be an OG, and he is also a model from Miami, Florida. So we have a lot of models on this cast this season. And what do you think of the lineup, Tony? Interesting. You know what? I will say this it's a it's a really good mix. Uh Love Island is known to have like people with a regular nine to five all the time, so I'm not surprised. And then we also always have a mixture of uh people who are in the industry as like models, singers, and for the UK version, you have some reality stars as well, like Joey Essex from a previous season that was on Towny. So I'm it's a f it's a fairly good lineup. The age group it's we're getting Gen Z now, so they're not that no shade, but Gen Z is different than the Millennials, you could tell. Yeah, I think this will be the last season that uh millennial will be on there because the the last two, which is uh Sean and what's his Bryce Young Man, Maine Bryce, yeah, they are the oldest in the villa as of right now for week one. They're the oldest in the villa, and they're the last millennials that were. I think we stop at 29 for them, right? Is it 28 or 29? I was gonna ask you, have they ever had a 30-year-old on the show? They have, but they're they have been men so far, and also multiple times on the UK version that they have. Um, I think the oldest was 34. I think his name was Mike. Yeah, from yeah, was it uh Joey Essex who was on the UK last year? Wasn't he like deep in his 30s? He was like he was like mid-30s, yeah. So they have had people over the age of 30. Oh, and also Katie as well, that was on Tyreek's season. Yeah, so we have uh Katie uh is a returning uh bombshell because LaV Island does it a lot. They take people on the old cast and bring them back, and she was well in her 30s, and then when you have Love Island games as well, Millie uh Grace, she was about to be 30. So yeah, we have a couple of 30-year-olds that has been on the show before. Yeah, I think it's gets to a point because 22 years old mixing with 30-year-olds, it doesn't work, and you just have a bunch of people that feel like they're not aligning. So I see why we cut that off at about 30. But I want to talk about the lineup because I remember, as it was about a week ago, the entire internet talking about how chopped these people are, and I thought that for the men at the very least, this was the strongest lineup that USA has had as a whole. Agreed. Most of the guys look a hot ass mess, no shade, no shade. Most of them just have good abs. That's pretty much it. And you're not, and you're not wrong with that. I think for the past couple of years now, people have been complaining, especially with the Casa Costa people as well, stating that the men aren't they never good looking. And to be fair, this year the men kind of outmugg the women. And not to say they're they aren't beautiful, but this is the first year that we have seen like decent lineup of men that are like fairly attractive, like on the same scale as the women. Yeah, I said the same thing. Um, and I I feel as though it was not well received. The people I gave it, I said it to. But I definitely feel like, yeah, the men just a little bit as a whole, again, as a group, because individually, like, you know, they're all cute and all beautiful and all in their own ways. But I definitely feel like the men were they look like they could all model, which most of them do. It makes sense. Yeah. But most of the time they just go for abs, and then that's good enough, especially when it comes to casa, and then they give like the baddest girls in casa. So the men are clearly more tempted than the women are for drama. But I'm gonna go through everybody, so we will tell tell our opinions before we go through the first episode. So we have Bryce, as I said before, who I he's my nemesis. At first, the internet, the internet was talking about they want Bryce off. I was like, oh, Bryce is my client. I like I like Bryce in a sense of like, if you've seen Bryce's Instagram and his model photo, he is so millennial coded 2016. Um the hair, we talk about this a lot. Uh, this is the same issue that we had with uh Charlie from last season. And Charlie's is a good looking guy. Charlie should have just came in with a beard. Yeah, I come to find out the producers encouraged them with how they style their hair and stuff, and they'd be setting them up every time because Charlie's way better. When he went to the reunion, everybody was like, Who the heck is that smoking a cigarette? Exactly.
SPEAKER_01Fucking Charlie.
SPEAKER_00And had he came with beard, he would have never left the island. I guarantee you, they would have sent him up. Like, we gotta keep him. Yes. And I just I don't know, Bryce. I'm gonna get into it a little bit, but I feel like Bryce is bland. But starting off, the hair, I'm not with it. Anaya, she is her dad is was in the NBA, right? Her dad is in the NBA. I think his name is Dad. It started with a D, and his last name ends with an H. That's all I know. Her um dad is in the NBA and they have a nonprofit with her parents. Yes, they started with her. They tried to say that she she was like catfish or something like that. They were trying to say her pictures look way different than she. I think it's the hair that she chose. That the short hair does give you an older look, and that happens to most people. If she had, I've seen her Instagram. If she had like a longer hair, I feel like it would have shaped her face better. And I also feel like her makeup is done very much, it's given very much interview when she does her makeup to me. Yeah, another thing is like makeup is one of those things that it can either age you or make you look really young. It's also supposed to enhance certain features, and I think also her makeup falls a little flat sometimes, like she doesn't really add any dimension, like concealer, maybe a little uh blush and whatever. It's just very, it's just very flat. It's not awful or anything, right? She's so beautiful. Oh my gosh, she's funny to look at her eyes. I cannot stop staring at the girl's eyes. She's yeah, definitely beautiful. It's really just the the technique of the makeup that she's using. And kudos to her for battling Fiji Heat in a wig because not I. I'd have been the breeds. Then we have dad Sean, 29, who is of he's of Asian descent, right? Sean? He is Sean is Korean. Okay. His mom is Korean and white, and then his dad is fully black. I think Sean is really hot. I thought everybody was gonna go for Sean, honestly. Him and Cecilia, who we'll get to yeah, Hottie. Yeah, the the fact that he called himself Officer Sexy Pants, I think he lost some some points with the audience with that one for real. He lost a lot of points, but that's my then we have Trinity, who's 22, who is the youngest girl and the youngest person in the villa. Trinity is black as well, rocking the wigs. I don't know how they're doing it with all that slime and all the shit that's happening in here. She's not two wigs. She's between a uh U-part and flip over wig. Shout out to her. This is our hair connoisseur because I didn't even know this. To me, it's the same. I thought she just had the one wig, and I was like, Oh, that's a quick change. It's all fast. She's a curly flip over with a curly half wig and a uh yeah, and a U-part. She has her hair is relaxed. So good for her. She's making it work, and then we have Sincere who has the best hair in the villa, out the guys. He wanna be in. I feel like Sincere is gonna have so many hair brand deals. Like he's gonna be like in a panteen commercial or some shit. Absolutely doable. After what is who what is Sincere? Like, uh, what is his background? Sincere is Puerto Rican. Puerto Rican, okay. Yeah, I it but it's one of those flags that has the blue at the triangle. But I'm pretty sure it's Puerto Rican. But I tried to look that up before I got on here. If you see Sincere, he definitely comes uh under the racially ambiguous category, so he really could just be a part of any. Yeah, he could be part of anything, in my opinion. Then we have Kenzie, who is white, are our only blonde. They were saying they're American, yeah. There's that weird discussion about Love Island from a lot of people that don't look like us that were saying that um it's not giving Love Island USA, basically and saying Wait and there's not enough white people on the guest. Like USA is so diverse. So UK, please, yeah. It's USA it's to me is giving very much Love Island USA because of all that diversity that we do have. But yeah, Kenzie is a white blonde, she seems very sweet. People call her Kaler 2.0. If you watch season six, I don't see it. I feel like Kenzie's her own person. Like, I don't get their personalities in mesh at all. She's Kenzie. Right. Let's let's not compare every that's what they do every season. They like to compare the old cast to the new cast, but these people are completely different, in my opinion. Right. And then we have Casey, the only fully black man, I think. He is one of my clients. Oh, and by the way, when I say clients, Love Island uh fandom likes to get behind certain islanders and protect them from the wrath of the internet. So we call that our clientele. Casey is definitely high on my list. Him and Sincere are on my client list. And then we have Melanie, who is Dominicana, and she's stunning, she's absolutely stunning. And that there's not too, too much to say about her just yet without giving anything away. So we'll slide on over to Zach, who is just Charlie 2.0. We gotta go to the forewarden. When we talk about Charlie, no, we're talking about Zach. Uh yes, I'm gonna call him Charlie every time because they look so much alike. That's Charlie's brother from last season, who was a bombshell, and they this time they made him an OG. So he's already getting further than his brother did, I do believe. To be fair, Charlie's been coming as a bombshell. Let's see if his brother makes it at least a week. Right. Oh my gosh, we'll definitely see. And then Bea, who is also um, I believe she is Mexican and white, is what she said. So we have a lot of uh Hispanics in the villa, and and that's the lineup of who we got. So the initial first episode is very long and cringe. Uh, for anyone who hasn't watched it, there's always this intro, which I feel like season six had the best intro, and I thought they were gonna use the same song every year. I came here for love, but every year they changed it to like some cheesy is it's jammed. That I think what really made that song pop off is Cordell doing a suitcase. People like associate uh Love Island. If you if you well, if you started watching Love Island from season six, that would be most people's starting point. So if when you hear that song, you associate it with uh with Cordell and the damn. And then without that, we just have cringe uh job, what is it called? Choreography, core choreography throughout. So that's basically what we're beginning. And honestly, the first episode to me is unnecessarily long because we also have the intros. I feel like they need to cut the little dance number and just make it a shorter episode. You can premiere it at eight o'clock, like I said, because we're getting old. Millennials are the main ones watching this, and I guess some high school students just start watching your past your prime for watching Love Island. Not their age, but I'm like, put this shit on at the if it the first episode is always like an hour and a half long. So put it on at eight so I can be in bed by like 10, 10:30. Yeah, I think it'll be normally the first episode they do these like icebreaker things in order for people to connect with each other, because it's uh just a bunch of hot singles that are making out with each other. But this year they decided to do doors. Um and they picked different questions to ask people like what their favorite animal is. Or if they're animal people. Yeah, if you're if you're an animal person. To be to be completely honest with you and fair, I'm not an episode one watcher. I don't know if anybody else is. Uh, I only started watching episode one because you told me I need to watch episodes. One A. I remember last year you were like, You need to watch episode one. I was like, I don't need to watch a damn thing because you get to know everybody. I can't tell you what happened in episode one. I own my only notes are there's a lot of screaming and we need to uh cut out the excessive amount of kissing. That's the only I know it's Love Island, but they need to do something with the editing. The way that they do it for like big moments where people kiss. I need like a little bit of like background music or just like mute the noise a little bit because it gets to a point where it's actually disgusting. And then the way that they did the door thing made it more gross and harder to watch because we had three people answering yes to a question for like one or two men, so it was given very like orgy everybody just and you know what's crazy. Love island wasn't always like that. I had discussed this on my TikTok that at one point, and this is for I think the UK and the USA version. Back then, in the USA version, they used to have the men slide down slides, which I thank God we stopped that. It was like a whole thing. Um that was scary. But terrible the girls will step forward for the guy that they like, and most of the times, if there's more than one girl that steps forward, the guy obviously has his pick ins. And they'll come up that way, and then they'll cut to them talking and have like a like a conversation. But with this season, I think it just keeps getting a little bit raunchier. Exactly. It's a little too much if everybody across each age group is saying, like, we we gotta find a way to people break ice without making out with everybody. I feel like you can rate some, I feel like one kiss per person is good. Like, you don't need to tongue people down in order to get to know if you like kind of want to get to know them. I don't know. It was just getting very much orgy to me because normally it's just like one person, you pick like one individual, but they're like, Oh, we're done making out, so let's swap. Like it was just like, ew, no, unnecessary. We don't need we don't need that at all. And then we had one of the most embarrassing moments for Casey, my client, where they were asking if you're an animal person or a plant person or whatever. So there were cats and dogs, and then there was plant, and he stood behind plant, thinking he was gonna be like somebody that is different and get like a girl. And he had absolutely nobody saying that. This is why they call you that performative now. Because it's Yes, he said, I thought I was doing something and I was doing nothing. Now they have called my boy Casey performative, and I'm sure he is just nervous for the first episode. He even said that he wasn't really being himself. It's hard to be yourself in a room full of strangers but cameras on. Yeah, you know, so I'm gonna give him that. Right. Like the first episode, everybody complains about the camera because you're super aware of the cameras, and then also most of them have never been on TV before, so there's a lot of cues and places where they need to step, and then also if the producer needs them to sit a certain way, so they can get a lot of angles sometimes, even though it's 24-7 surveillance, big brother type shit. They also need to just sit in certain places, they also need to hold or not talk at a certain time, or they need to stand somewhere, or when the host is talking when and when not to talk, so they can capture certain moments. So yeah, it's a lot of pressure, and now the show has blown up so big that they know eyes are on them. So your first thought is like, I'm on TV. So eventually they all say the same thing that they forget the cameras are there, but for the initial, I think everybody needs to give people grace for the first episode, especially. Yeah, like the first two. Yeah, I say like the first three episodes, people aren't really themselves, and then after that, you start to see it. But that was Casey's qualm, and it was hilarious because I thought Kenzie was gonna go for Bryce because they're both white, and she said he had turtle tongue, and that is what I knew. Bryce need to leave my fucking villa. As soon as Kenzie said he had turtle tongue, I said no, you're turning off the only person that makes sense for you based off of you know looks. Katie's the girl. She's like a little bit of personality Trinity for taking a cake for that one. Yeah, so the girls picked, and I'm trying to remember the pics, I don't have them on, but I know that Trinity ended up picking Bryce. Bryce, that's correct, yeah. Um, Melanie ended up picking Sincere, Zach was picked by Kenzie. Um I actually got it. So Trinity was behind Bryce's door, uh, Kenzie was behind Zach's door, Beatrice or Bia was behind Sean's door, Anaya and Melanie was behind Sincere's door, but Sincere ended up picking uh Melanie in the end. So Anaya and Casey was close proximity uh couple together. So nobody picked Casey. That was another thing. After he did that plant shit, they was like, this this man corny, and nobody picked him. So Casey was down bad for the first episode. So I was like, dang, I'm gonna ride for Casey throughout. Cause I feel I felt bad. He's a good looking dude, and I thought he was gonna have somebody stand behind him, but it seems to be Anaya, who is the basketball player's daughter. Her type seems to be more light-skinned men, which Sincere is, and Casey is not. So yeah, Casey is not at all. Oh, and we didn't even talk about how Sean told everybody he's a dad. So Sean, please, I am so for parents being in love, getting love, and you know, but it's something to say um there's a certain way to drop news that you have like a child, and there's never like a right time to do it because you you really just gotta get it out there and hope for the best. But the way he introduced this this babe with I was in a 10-year relationship, and then I got on a dating app and got the girl on a dating app pregnant and together. That's the most, that's the worst way you could say anything, honestly. In a relationship for 10 years, and the girls well, to be fair, he was 19 at the time. What do you mean the girl off a dating app got the baby first? No, literally, and it just sounds like you had like a one-night stand, you're making basically making the mother of your child sound like not that important, in my opinion, just the way that you dropped it. So everybody was like, Oh, okay. And again, this is an island full of 22 to like 28-year-olds, and I don't think any of the girls are even close to 20. So none of these women are really looking to be somebody's stepmother. That's something you have to consider. And uh, there's been discourse of whether or not single parents should be on Love Island. I personally feel like it's not the place for them because it's a very fast paced. Yeah, love is blind is potential, but even that, I'm like, you're getting married really fast, you know? Maybe The Bachelor, because when you get engaged, you still have a time period to, you know, make that decision. Like super unfair because when is the right time for a person who has children to be on any reality TV show? Is any reality TV show but Love Island would make so much sense because with Love Island, you have no access to anybody. Exactly. Nobody speaking to your child. Exactly. So producers only have access to your family members in case like somebody dies or some shit or something super important that yeah, you need to go home. But I feel as though not speaking to it's one thing to not speak to. Your family for a month because they're fully grown adults, they can see you on TV and know that you're like at least doing okay. Right. All they can do is worry about your safety. But when it comes to your child, depending on the age of the child, how do you explain that you were on TV freaked out? Yeah, exactly. And you can't really, and his child is like two years old, so it's like it's hard to explain why dad is gone for weeks at the time. And Sean also had another controversy with his job where he's a police officer, and allegedly he left. Well, what the story was from the mayor, he left the show to be on Love Island, and the mayor tried to make it seem like that is Sean's issue. If he wants to do exactly hire people and make sure you train them properly so you're not consistently firing people. But yeah, for him to do that to me was really weird and unprofessional of him. That's what happened when you're jealous of the young lit niggas. Like that's being literally. So Sean is over here fighting for his life, being on this show, trying to have this opportunity because at the end of the day, this is a business opportunity. Yes, you're here for love, but you know the odds are not in your favor. There's like only a slim chance you're gonna end up with this person long term. So Boy Sean has come all the way down here and he's already dealing with scrutiny off the island. But I will say this, Sean, to me, with all the kissing that he did, the way he was doing it wasn't given like I want commitment. It was given I want bedtime. I see why someone gave him a baby. Yes. It's very because wasn't he like what did BSA? He was like pushing her against walls and stuff, like not aggressively. I really I this I literally have it my phone the way Sean kissed. I see why he's a baby daddy. Like I put Sean a freak. I I see cheeky frog. I fear I would have had his baby too if he had kissed me like that. Cause who who was it in a yellow dress as he was grabbing? I was like, wasn't it Kenzie? Is it Kenzie? Yes, Kenzie. He literally knew Kenzie cheeky of you know my split queen goddess. She was like, ooh. You know.
SPEAKER_01My god. So calm down. Split queen god.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that he thought Sean thought that was the mat like the magic touch to get to a woman, honestly. Oh, yeah. Speaking of, we also have after everybody coupled up, Kenzie and Zach. It was very clear it was a misconnect because the girls were the ones to pick, they were the ones to stand at the door and pick who they want to be with. So Kenzie wanted to be with Zach. Zach made it very clear from minute one that he was into dark features. Kenzie is a blonde. A lot of people thought that to mean that he wanted to be with a black woman. It can mean to me both. It can mean brunette and black woman. It could be both. Right. It just meant not Kenzie. Also, whether it it could be a black woman, it could not be. Either way, if you got dark feature, he could it could be an Asian woman as well. Either way, my main son said, as long as it's dark, I want it. Right. All right, Zach. As long as it's dark, I want it. And the thing about Kenzie is that she also liked dark features. So Zach was Kenzie's type, and uh Kenzie wasn't Zach's type. And that's and it's hurtful to hear that your type doesn't want you, especially because you have to be your type's type. But also, Kenzie, you're not a natural blonde. Two, you have to you have to be with someone that thinks your blue eyes isn't piercing, but they love your blue eyes because it so happens to be their favorite color, and they love your blonde hair because it reminds them of the sun. So if some meaning, oh, I love blue eyes, I have brown, so clearly we have nothing to talk about. It was to me, it was very clear. And at one point, she was getting a hint, but the girls made this pact on where they're going to tell each other when they're being delusional, and that pact was quickly shattered, quickly shattered. I they always try to be unified because women are scrutinized at a higher rate on how we treat each other and the decorum we have, etc. And this conversation never happens with men, but yeah, that went out the window when Kenzie was trying to try to determine whether or not Zach likes her, and then people are like, Oh no, it'll be fine. No, that man doesn't not want you. And mind you, this is date, this is still night one, and we're going into next day, as you know, and everybody's talking about literally has probably been here for a couple hours, probably four hours tops, right? Because how they film shit. So it really, she for some reason, when it came to the end of the episode, and you could stand on a green dot or a red dot to decide if you want to stay in your couple, she decided to stand on a green dot, and Zach did not. He wanted to explore other connections. But half of them, who stood on the green dot? So Casey and Anaya, they both Casey and Anaya stood for each other. So Zach and Bryce were the only two that stood on the red dot. And as far as the girls go, it was Bea and Trinity that stood on the red dot. Yes, and Bea is paired with Sean. So Sean thought they was like locked in, and he was like, Oh no, I don't want to explore nothing. Boom. Trinity was ready as well as Bryce to explore. They're really not feeling each other, at least not for day one. And then you can tell that they just so happen to be paired together. So then the bombshells come in, but only the girls will see the guy bombshell, and then the guys will see the girl bombshell. And you don't see what's behind the door. Yeah, you don't see what's behind the door for your uh pairing. So the people just get whisked away by these bombshells, and then we go into the second episode. Yeah, that was that was a good thing. I think Love Island saw that for season six, they did that door thing again. Remember the scene where Serena and Dance and Cordell, I think they were this is received well here. So I want to keep doing it. Right. It wasn't a bad idea about the door. I like the door, it gives you the suspense for for season seven when Huda broke down and cried behind the door because I didn't open the door. I'm like, this is a theme here, and you know what? We're in with the door. Uh I would love to see that for season nine if if I continue watching. So not if I continue watching, you know you're gonna watch. Yeah, so we end off with uh people unsure who is gonna be standing with them, standing at the door when you open it. So then we go to to episode two where we meet Beatrice and uh Trinity whistled off with Gabriel or Gabriel, however you say it. So Gabriel, who was supposed to be a uh OG person, is now a bombshell, and he icks me out to no end. Like he is one of my least favorite people. He all he do is kiss. All he do is kiss. But we're also gonna talk about Keda, who is one of the baddest women to ever step put in that villa in Fiji. Yeah, New Hampshire Reaper. Yes, New Hampshire Reaper. So that reference is a little bit of stuff personal for Keda that we're gonna get into in a bit. But she comes in hot and she pulls Bryce and uh Zach because they have no choice. So they are whisked off to this weird ass cove where it is a thr basically a threesome situation with people in a bedroom. California king size, but I don't even think that's a California king size, but uh, whatever is above a California king size, that is what it is. We have to like 10 people on that thing. It's given very much like fantasy sweets for the bachelor, but with three people. So it's very awkward. So they it's one thing to kiss in a challenge, but to kiss in a room with the person there is weird, which is exactly what Gabriel did with uh Bia. And it was very awkward. You know, this the the whole thing about uh Gabriela Barry, he was hot until he wasn't. Uh, and not to take away that I don't think he's subjectively handsome, of course. I think he's handsome, but as soon as he got as soon as he got on the scene, um my initial thought is was why is his shirt off? What's happening here? Yes, like what is what is happening? There were so many things that happened in episode two that I was really concerned about because we had when that whole situation that was happening in bombshells came in and they were kissing, they were doing Anaya was watching Melanie and Sincere Kiss because this is going into like episode two, and she was watching them kiss, and I was like, girl, step away. No, literally is awkward. And that whole thing happened, and everybody just watching everybody kiss is so awkward. So when he came in now, shirt off, just tongue in everybody. I'm like, this is like freak. What is happening? I was literally scared for them because I was like, Yes, the scene is off, and I still to this day I've not seen him put a shirt on. And he's always unbuttoned in some fashion, he's always out of the shirt. It would be on in the one scene and in the next. And I know for a fact, what are we talking about? Because you're always in bikinis. And but to be real, when it's time for him to wear a shirt, he doesn't have it on. He doesn't want to, and I get your body look good, but he made Sean look like a normal kisser at this point. The way that he was literally just putting his tongue down people's throat. And we learned that episode that Bea really likes that. She likes a lot of affection, which is why I feel like she initially went for Sean. But she discussed in the first episode how she wasn't really sure about the kid thing. And they're like, they all the girls discussed whether or not, you know, she really, really wants to be with Sean, kind of like where she would see it going. If he had a kid, because when they were like, How do you feel about a kid thing? She's like, What kid? Like, you know what I'm saying? That man has a man has a two-year-old at home walking around. Two year old, he's still a baby and will definitely need that a lot. So that's a lot to consider. I don't know for not going for him either, because I personally wouldn't want a man with a child. I'm not saying that it would never happen. That just leaves me a leeway not to have a child if I choose not to. But it's just easier to be like that family dynamic. My first kid is your first kid, and then we skip all the extra stuff in between. But that doesn't take away from the many of blended families that have children and stuff. But if you don't want a man with kid, then Sean has to be. Don't stand by the door. Right. Because that's the thing. She didn't explain to him either that she doesn't want a man with kids, and she still stood behind the door. You notice many and you still stood behind the door. And I felt bad for him in that sense because I, if I know I don't want kids, and I also don't want to date a man with kids, I'm not gonna keep talking to one that has kids. That's like really mean. Yeah, exactly. So I think it just was weird and there was a lot going on, and maybe she wasn't thinking too hard about the child, and then when she sat down and talked to the girls, but unfortunately, she wasn't able to explain her decision to Sean. She was whisked away. And then on top of that, they spent 24 hours with these bombshells as well. So it was like Sean was trying to figure out what is going on. And one thing about Love Island, they do say it feels like weeks in there after one day, and people definitely acting like it because Kenzie's world was rocked at the fact that Zach didn't choose her, even though he told her, Oh my goodness, you're not my type. She was crying up a storm and said, I always choose cheater others. I'm gonna see the psycho evaluation of Love Island. No, seriously, because I fear that she was triggered so badly because when you're talking to a guy and you really like a guy, and then he uh does something, you think it's your fault initially and you're like this has always happened. Like, I'm pretty sure she was in a mind frame of like, oh, he wouldn't like me, because this always happens to me, and I always choose she felt bad for her. At first I was like, girl, what the fuck is he talking about? But then I felt bad for her because I've been in a situation where I really like a guy, and then something doesn't work out, even though it was my fault for not listening at times, and I didn't take heed. And then I'm like, oh, like of course this was happening to me. Like, I always choose the guy that never likes me and creator first. That's what I was saying. Like, for the first episode, I feel like it just brings out insecurities because people forget this is on a national television show where millions of people are gonna watch you get rejected. Like, they were making fun of KC, his door being empty, and the way he I mean the way he walked through it was funny. I will say that he was like, Oh, ain't nobody there. Like, that shit was funny. He's a meme, and I love that. All on Twitter, he's like the Spongebob meme, which is like hilarious. I love that. We need him all season because his facial expressions are hilarious. On the girl's point of view, it's embarrassing. Like, your guy already wants to be, you know, without you, but at the same time, I feel like Zach was very clear. He even said that he didn't want to cuddle with her in bed because he didn't want to leave her on. So the signs were there because he's not trying to like lead her on. It's really weird to be like, oh, like I like dark features and try to implement that like multiple times throughout their conversation and let her know, like, I whatever, and then also didn't color her in bed. And she was really hurt by that. She was like, You can't cover me in bed. He just told you, he don't like you. So that would be weird because the next conversation would be he led me on. And he was all up on me, like all of you know, hugging on me and stuff in bed, and blah blah. So that would be another point against him. So I feel like Zach handled that the best way that he could, and it just went that way. Um with Bea, I will say with Sean, I can see why he was like taken aback because he didn't really have a sign. So he was just like completely crushed, and he thought that they were solid locked in, which is why he stood on the uh the green. Or no, yeah, he stood on the green to stay. But yeah, I feel like honestly, uh, to be honest, most people should have stood on red. It was the first night, so I feel like most people should have wanted to go on red, that'd be a hot mess. Because you know why? It was already a hot mess because love ey, you freaky ass show. Let me tell you something. You have three people in a room, which is which is funny enough that three people equally, like two two boys, two girls, and that was like a like thank God. Right. They were all on the bed, and here comes and just want to point out this one particular scene, right? Whereas Trinity, uh Bea and Gabriel or Gabriel, whatever, let me pronounce his name right, not whatever, but Gabriel were all on the Trinity and Gabriel were having a conversation, and Bia was there, and then she was like something like well then kiss me. Right in front of this in front of her, and she looked like she wanted to be anywhere but that room because it's awkward. Right. Why would you and that that was my issue with uh Bea because I was like, why would I do that when she's right there? Wait till she like goes to the bathroom or something, or go sit in that hallway that they had you sitting in while Trinity and uh Gabriella was making out. But don't do that. Like, imagine you and your homegirl talking to a guy and y'all both be interested, and then she kissed the guy in front of you. Girl, I'm Yeah, I gotta go. I gotta leave immediately. And instead of letting them people, you know, one person sleep in a separate room, they had all three of them in a bed together. And mind you, it's a king bed, so you can like put stuff in between, but it's still weird. And speaking of weird, and it's not just them, move on to the other couple. Yes, I was gonna say, speaking of fucking weird, let's go over to Keda, Zach, and Bryce. It was very fucking clear that Kata did not want nothing to do with Bryce. And Bryce did not get the memo. Like, she was all about Zach, and you could tell from like the first few seconds. This is yeah, because when he was uh she was like laid up with Zach and they were like making out. And as they were kissing in bed, and Bryce rolls over, like, let me get a bit of this action. Like, I feel left out. She's like, sorry, you're gonna be left out tonight. Well, and then they kept making out afterwards. I'm like, what is happening? And then it's just Bryce sitting there, like up, and you know the night camera, and it's just his glass glowing. I was like, literally, I would have been like, I have to go. I get me out of here with this hot head. When Ian does the nightly like head count, it's so awkward because Bryce is way away from Kada and fuck his ac and is the same thing with Trinity and Bear and Gabrielle, but you know that dynamic. I think Trinity was like, I'm okay on this man, like it's fine, but it's clear that Bryce really wanted to still try with her. And but he tried in a weird way. Because don't come behind me when I'm like kissing somebody. It's creepy because now I feel like you try to get me in a gambang situation. Exactly. It's giving three something on me. What do you think this is? Like I'm a lady at the end of the night. Like people, and then people, it's like their families are watching at home, so you have to have a level of decorum. They already put you in a weird ass situation. Yeah, she's 22 years old. You have your family watching, which if I were to ever go on a show like Love Island, I would pray to God that nobody tell my parents just like how Miguel season six. His mom didn't know he was camping. Yeah, I don't want my parents seeing none of that. No, no, no. That's nasty. That's weird. No, and it it's it's just really off-putting. And even that whole bed scene is just weird. I that was like a first for the USA season. Yeah, and it needs to be a last too. Let that be the last. Let that be the last we already have people having sex with people with uh other people in the room. Let that be the last. We put all three people on one bed because then it comes a little bit like creepy per se. And then with the whole new bombshell thing, just want to touch on this. Sincere needs classes. And here's why. When the whole bed scene happened, and it's uh I think it's either the next day this was going on, or no, right after the door thing where they all went to the to the bed and now it clips to the next scene. And Melanie is asking Sincere, which she should I would ask too, like what she looked like, but also like don't ask, you're gonna see her in the next couple hours, right? Like, what she looks like, and he's like, Oh, she looks she looks kind of like you, sincere. Don't don't piss me up. They look nothing alike, by the way. They're just both light skinned, and they're not even the same shade of light-skinned, same shade of yellow, not even the same shade of yellow. Like, what? Keda is probably like goddamn six foot and super super skinny, blue eyes, and you know what I'm saying, with like really sharp features, and we have little stinna button Melanie with her uh with her, you know, Afrocentric features, and uh you go say they look alike, they don't do nothing like that. I think they both like skin. He he got I think he was trying to do his best without doing too too much, and like, oh, she's beautiful like you. But first of all, the awkward the to me the question was awkward, and this was our first hill hint that Melanie is not all there, and she is one of the people that is most likely teetering the line of that psychological event uh questionnaire, and I think that's why they ask it because they want people that are a little bit not all the way there because that makes for good TV. Not saying that she has actual real mental health issues, no, but um, you know what I mean. Like she's just a little bit crazy, she's somebody a little unhinged. Yeah, that's the bet that's the better word to say. She's a bit unhinged. If everybody was all conservative and not like, oh, I didn't want to do this and that, and then I think love Island McGet. I think this is the mess people want. These are regular day people that are so happen to be influencers. So yeah, the question that she asked was very Yeah, she was trying to get some information, and it's like, even with that, hers is ear had only been cobbled up for 24 hours, and it's just like already like you're grilling me on stuff. This is the situation where he's gonna be tempted and have a whole bunch of different options. So at least he stood on the green. At least you know he did not want to go with her. So that should have gave some points, but it feels like she just is somebody that needs constant reassurance because didn't she break down after this? Or am I tripping? Yeah, she uh did she didn't this her into the next episode because she found out we'll yeah, we can cover it then. Did find out something that she didn't like in the episode, so yeah, so she's basically questioning it, but I feel as though it shouldn't be a question when you open a door and your man is still behind. Right. It's like he's gonna talk to people, but yeah, I'll definitely say that for um episode three. Basically, episode two was a lot of the islanders that went with the bombshells having these like awkward dates where you could tell they're clicking, like, for example, like Trinity and uh Gabrielle, like she was asking him, Do you want to settle down? And he was like, No, not really. And she's like, Aren't you getting up that age? Even though she tried that man is like 60 years old. Mind you, he's 26. Like, let us not act like uh 30 is the the end all be all as a 32-year-old. The end all be all, but that's like uh Facebook, not Facebook, but any dating apps that I've been on where men are like 34 and the thing is still figuring it out. You're literally 34. I know that is that is a little crazy, especially if you were looking. I get what she's saying, because you're on you're in a setting to date, and you're still saying you're not looking to settle down. So, like, what are you here for? And it's very clear to make out with people. He's a very clear I people don't realize that Gibberell is really a clear person on what he wants, and what he wants is not to settle down. He's trying to get his foot in the door, and he's doing a great job at that. And uh a thing about him and Bia, even towards going to the end of the episode, we back back in the days and current days now, when you pick your couple or you're in a couple, it's a little smooch or a little kiss on the cheek, and then you your ass down and move on, or just a little and you know, like, wow, thanks for picking me. Like, thanks. Why was Bia and Gabriel just full on for two minutes? It was a long time because they do end up going back at the end of the episode and picking who do if they want to stay in their couple or oh wait, no, no, they weren't the ones picking, it was the bombshells picking who they wanted. So, yeah, so the the bombshells got the pick, and it was very sh very obvious that Gabrielle was gonna choose to be with Bea because he didn't like the fact that Trinity clock is team. She clearly was yeah, somebody more serious, and with Bea, she was just down to make out at least that's the edit that they're getting. I'm not seeing nothing besides making out in physical chemistry. And then it was super duper clear that Bryce was not gonna get picked when it came to the situation with Keida and Zach, and so that forced Trinity and Bryce back together. And you know what? I like that moment because it was. Funny because they were just like, Oh, we're back together, like we both try to escape. But it works. Yeah. And I I like that because it's like nobody's pretending that they fake hurt because they both wanted, you know, to explore elsewhere. So they I I like that moment between them, even though I don't see that relationship going anywhere, even though it's still early, but I just feel like we're in forced proximity, and when people we actually like come to villa, that's gonna be it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we love that. So we yeah, we gotta.
SPEAKER_00I mean, maybe that's just a like a cultural thing. You know how Brian was like, it's a cultural, maybe it's a cultural thing. People are very they're they're they got the language a bit. Yeah, that's where they're known for being very passionate people. Passionate people. So what we're seeing is passion, and we are in fear by discussing calling them freaky, they're just passionate people. Yeah, and another hilarious moment was at that, like, let's call it a baby recoupling of when Keda chose Zach. Then Sean and Kenzie became vulnerable. So Kenzie made a remark to sh uh to Zach that's saying thank you for making her vulnerable. And he says, You're welcome. That is Charlie's brother. Send hello, kids. Because he's I know he in his mind, he's like, Girl, I already told you, like, you're not my type. So what do you expect? And I didn't get a chance to talk to you. It's really not my fault. Like the producer set this up. So he just said, You're welcome. Like, you're not gonna have egg on my face. I'm gonna Zach is literally his his brother, his brother's twin. Because that you're welcome, is is actually hilarious because I'm surprised no one sat there and was laughing because I would have been cracking up. Hi, KC, because he meaning he means trying to get me in a corner and cackling. That would be me. I can't be serious, you cannot be serious. I would not expect that out of us out laughing. I know Casey is just probably sitting there like, nah, this shit is not real. I'm really on TV, but is he put doing this? Literally, because Kenzie, as much as I understand a woman's emotions, it was too much. It was day one, he doesn't owe you anything. And it sucks that you are vulnerable, but at least you weren't dumped in that moment. Like you still got a chance to explore other things. And Sean, he was just like a little wounded puppy, and it was very sad that he was just not understanding. You could tell because Sean is good looking, but what people need to understand is this is an island of good-looking people. You have to have more than your looks. Like everybody's like, Oh, I can't believe KC wasn't picked, I can't believe Sean wasn't picked. But at the end of the day, you ever thought they were boring, huh?
SPEAKER_01People are like, Oh, you're good looking. You ever thought they just they're corny? Maybe they're boring.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, there's that too. You can be a very corny person, and it or you could just not click with a person at the end of the day. So, yeah. So at the end, they are uh vulnerable at the end of that episode, and then we move over to episode four, where we are doing huh? We're actually in episode three now because that that whole beer kissing that is episode two, my bad. We're moving into episode three. I was like, wait, girl four. There's so much to happen in episode three. I actually don't have that much written down for episode three, so I'm gonna let you really do the opening for that. Yeah, I have like tons of notes for uh episode three. It's it's pretty long because I my first note of episode three was when Kenzie said, uh, this is uh I directed to Zach, obviously. Uh Kenzie was like, I'm not 100% turned on by him. Kenzie, please. I said about men. You know, you know those girls that talk to guys that they're not even interested in, and then that guy breaks up with them or do something, and then whatever. She was like, Oh, they're on the anything. Yeah. It was definitely giving that, and I was just like, girl, call call it a day. Because at the end of the day, you stood at his door, you chased him, and now you're upset that he didn't reciprocate that feeling. So that was like one of my notes. Still says Bea and Gabe uh are freaked out. Like they're freaked out. I'm gonna say they're passionate, they're still passionate. I'm sorry. That's yeah, I don't want to be saying they're freaked out, you know what I'm saying? Because then it's like, you know, they're just passionate, that's their culture. Um I'm gonna give out to my Hispanic baddies, my lovers, my passions. Yeah, and then another thing, Bia was this is like a dock scene now. This is when they come back and they have been picked, so it's not like they're on a dock scene, and Bea decided to talk to Sean. And then says she still wanted to explore him. And this is the same reason. Do not do that. You're not interested. Because for him, he was like, I thought we were on the same page. I thought we were, you know, leveling out, and then you just see see you behind the door and you were gone. And she's like, that doesn't mean that I that I don't want to explore you. It just means that I'm just interested in him right now, and I want to and she wants to be respectful to Sean and then turn around and kiss Gabe in front of him stuff like that for a long period of time. I mean, that was before, like when they were coupling up when he chose her, right? That's where that long kiss was. Sorry, y'all. We all over the place. But yeah, when they when um the bombshells picked each other picks, they ended up kissing each other. And I think Kada and Zach made it respectful. Meanwhile, Bea and Gabrielle, which is more Gabrielle, but also you could be like a slight let's stop. Like, you know, like tap on the shoulder, let's slow it down. But they made out for like a good 30 seconds, like it was hard to understand. Yeah, it was it was it was it was crazy. And as we move on throughout like the episode, you know, there's a lot of hair playing in this, a lot of men playing in these girls' hair. We got playing in a beer hair. We got badly since you're playing in Melanie here. I'm like, what is going on here? And then we had Bryce where he just said that he was thinking about uh Trinity, and I was like, I do not believe that one step thing. No, maybe he was thinking about her in a way of like I should have said because I was gum. So you know what? I went from putting I do not believe that to now, I do believe that. I do believe, because now you're embarrassed. You were shut down on national television, and when you get out the villa, you're gonna see that everybody clowns you about that shit. Yeah. And and as we as and as we're moving on, Kenzie still has a one-sided B for Zach. Because she is now, I think she was talking to Sean, and this is gonna be a thing that we're gonna where I'm getting a disconnect this episode. But bear with me when I say this. She was talking to Sean about the whole entire thing about the Zach thing, whatever, and saying, Oh, he only like he won't, she will like keep her eyes closed because he only thinks it's Pearson. Kenzie, please. And then Zach came up to talk to her and have a conversation. He asked her, uh, Tanna saw to you, she's like, no. You know what? You're entitled to that boundary if you're not ready to chat the first time. That's okay. The first time. I don't believe him. Like, there's nothing to talk about because one, you already told me that you don't like me, and then what are you gonna tell me again? Like, sorry, I still don't like you. So I do feel her on that, so I'm not gonna like hold it against that, but then you have to let it go. Because then you have this weird animosity that you put. Cause I if if it was like O Langia from last season where it was who was it that didn't pick her? What was his name? Tiller? No, no, no. It was the Asian dude from Big Girlfriend. That's another Zach.
SPEAKER_01Another Zach.
SPEAKER_00I was like, is it Zach? I thought I was just like so. Apparently, Zach just loved doing not picking people and didn't want to talk about it. But Olandia was just like, no, you're fine, like you can save your words because there was nothing to say. Right. Like we were just like chatting with each other, and she stood on that, but she wasn't weird towards him after.
SPEAKER_01So he just moved on. Right.
SPEAKER_00But Kenzie is like dragging it and like these remarks and all these other things. So Especially is since it's only been a a day and a half. Literally, a day and a half, maybe two days at most. Going on to day right, going on today, day two. So her not wanting to have a chat right then and there. I I feel her on that, and she's probably just getting through her emotions and whatever. So shout out to Kinsey for standing her ground. But here comes the issue now. We now get to the breakfast, right? And everybody's carrying up breakfast. Everybody's just smooching. I'm like, hold up. Yeah. What is this? Don't ever. I was like, maybe because I'm getting older and I'm up in eight. And I was like, wait, have they always done this in the first three days, like bringing up breakfast and just smacking on smooches? I was like, oh, this cast is just so lovey dubby. And as soon as I said this cast is so lovey dubby, here comes Kenzie and Sean just smacking it onto each other. I said, whoa. Yeah, that one threw me off because the only conversation that they showed the public was like, oh, we're talking about how we both got rejected and it sucks. And this is a weird situation to be in. So for y'all to just be like kissy kissy, or was it was this their first kiss, or was it the one in the pool? It's actually their first kiss. Okay. So they do a little like okay conversation when Zach interrupted them. And and maybe like I could, you know, this is a week long, and it's just these are just notes that I'm trying to remember. Right. But I just clearly remember it was Casey bring up food for um a nine and they kiss. And I was like, okay, that means that's cool. I would have preferred kiss on the cheek because kissing outside of a challenge is a really big thing. Right. It was. We are now in a new book and it's gonna tell you how the dating world they're moving quick. They they don't have no art of kissing. Kissing used to be an art, now it's just something that everybody just got turtle tongue over. Territous on. But when Sean came up to make Kenzie uh breakfast, which I was like, oh, that's nice. You're both single, Michael King, and they kissed. I was like, it's either the producers are playing a prank on us or they cut out multiple conversations and be like, we just got to get it. I do feel like we're missing a lot this this time around. And then we're not the only people to say that because we're like, wait, this but we're missing a lot of the friendships that are forming too. I guess it's just a runtime issue. It has to be, or there's just so much like exciting thing that's going on in there. Because how is it that we move so fast? Because the last conversation I saw Kenzie had with Sean, it was about Zach. Right. So how does that equate? But it's given very much, I guess we'll try this because they're both single and they're both vulnerable. So you understandable because I would try it as well. I mean, I wouldn't want to just be like you kind of just floating around. So I'd be like, okay, Sean is fine, and Kenzie's a pretty girl, so why not? But also, like, I wouldn't be swooning that fast when it's a default situation. Like, let's give it some time. It I was just like, oh, okay, you know what? I you know, if she likes it, I love it. Love that for her. I agree. And then as the day progressed, Melanie is having a breakdown. Yeah, she's she is having let's explain why. Because Sean, I mean not Sean, sorry, sincere pulling. Sincere pulling to him all day. I was like, Melanie, ooh, you have the entire day. Like, give that, let that boy, I beg, let that boy. But because they haven't spoken all day and he chooses to spend his time speaking, Nikeda, he pulls her for a chat. But they talk about something that is very service level, but she only sees, she just so happened to be walking by with Kenzie and she's like, Who is that? She's like, Oh, Sincere and somebody. So she knew Sincere was talking to somebody in that little like new speakeasy outside ambiance thing that they meet. And so that when she really finds that out, she has a whole crash out about how people get sick of her, and this is like clearly an insecurity of hers, but it's a little intense because it's like he only spoke with her. So why are we, you know, about pineapples on pizza, right? Pineapple on pizza. And you know what? When Kenzie and Melanie said to each other, let's I think there was it was them when they were like, Let's just tell each other when we're delusional. Yeah, delusional people's name and stuff like that. No, you cannot. And crazy because they were the first two to start crying in that goddamn villa. Yes, they were the first tears, and she's over here speaking to Anaya, who kind of becomes like the villa therapist to people. So yeah, she's speaking to Anaya. Anaya tells her for sure that uh Sean, I forgot it. No, Sincere pulls Kate for a chat, and then that's when she loses it. And she's like trying to reassure her, Anaya's trying to reassure her that, like, no, he's not getting sick of you, he's not gonna get sick of you. It's literally just that chat girl. But she has enough alarm breakdown. Anaya's a messenger pigeon. She takes the information and she just chucks it out with people. She is what the producers were trying to do with Ace. Because why is it that every time somebody finds out an information, it is coming from you? Yes. And I do she's there to move the plot forward. I've I've noticed that. We need to get the ball rolling. And as this is happening now, we have a I think this would be considered our first challenge of the season. We have the pool challenge where everybody's just pushing everybody in a pool and having a grand old time. We find out my girl Trinity was given the Glock 300 um in the backseat of her mama's car, and then it was good license in time. We got my boy sincere, not being sincere, texting other people while he's in a relationship. So we had a little mixtures of things. People were asking online why they didn't put push bea in the pool and they were talking about her damn leg. I'm like, what I gotta do with anything? She never She's an Olympian. Why would that bother her? She, I'm sure this guy went. They asked her, they probably didn't air her thing because it probably wasn't important. And then it comes down to Kenzie and this one side beef. She I gotta wrap it up about week two. Because there was a question, I can't remember what a question was, and she just wanted to push Zach in the pool. It was something about a guy ending up with like his, I think it's like his friend's girl or something like that, which it ended up being Bryce. I just remember it ended up being Bryce's secret. Yeah. And I was like, Kenzie, you just wanted to push Zach in the pool because you know for a damn sure if you lay hands on that boy, they was gonna scort your ass off. Yes, that's the closest you're gonna get. There was no reason to uh to push him. And then Missy was my last day. Melanie cutting it off for sincere this conversation. Oh yeah. So I wrote that down that Melanie was trying to like cut it off as sincere because this is around the time now where she founds out that he did up for a chat and she's really upset because he didn't tell her. Rightfully so, like tell me, because one, you didn't talk to me all day, two, you you pull in people for chats. I don't care what the chat was about, it could have been about weather. You could at least give me a heads up, like, hey, like I did pull someone for chats, but also you put your trust in the nigga slip and hole how you figure. You know what I'm saying? You should have been talking to people, you are in a couple, and sometimes I feel like we're losing the concept of the show, or people don't know the concept. Yes, we're in a couple, yes, he should have told told you, but you should also be exploring other people to be sure that this is the guy that you're gonna continue, yes, continue on with. And she was like, well, let's cut it off right. I'll just cut it off right here and then and then just do this. Week one is Dora the Explorer, and it needs to be for absolutely everybody because you you are just going to your default off of looks in the first day, because that's what is designed to be like, okay, we just need people paired up for drama, but like, or you know, to start getting to know each other. But to really try to hone in is to me, I think it's rare as heck. I don't know if it's ever happened, where there's been one couple that just sails through without issues. Like, there's always gonna be something because it's predicted. There's always gonna be something. So yeah, or there's gonna be somebody that you know they send in based off of who um the islanders like and who you know they want to like create some issues with. For example, that those are what the those are what the bombshells are for to like come in and shake shit up. So when people get upset that people are talking to bombshells, it makes no sense. This is your moment to see, yeah, like okay, everybody's fine. So you have to be able to see if the next fine one is better for you than the last fine one. That's how I see it. Yeah, and who's the Santa Gun that you couple up with is really or is really just your be all end all because your type might come through and it could be a bombshell, and you're gonna hold this man hostage because clearly you don't want to get kicked off the island. We all don't, but also like these conversations are week two conversations where you're just like, we should be shouldn't be testing that connection. We're like weeks in now. I would say two and a half weeks in at that point because I'm like, even still, you are gonna be testing your connection because they're there for like what six weeks? Yeah. So three, I think two and a half, three weeks in is where it starts to be like, okay, why are you still exploring? But the week one, especially with the first this mind you we're in day, let's say like three or four at this point.
SPEAKER_01By this point, right?
SPEAKER_00So it's it's just ridiculous. So for you that your insecurity, you can't be that insecure and be on a TV show like that. You're gonna be having a long summer, I swear. Crying, boom crying over a man that he just light skinned girl, and that's it. Yelling speaks one of the Spanish to each other, and you know what? It's their culture, they're passionate people, you know, they get into it quick and they lock in. I'm telling you, Spanish people, they lock in, they don't play that. That's it. They that they're very passionate, so I love that for them, but she gotta chill out. But that was pretty much it for that episode, right? It was just mainly the challenge. Where that was pretty much it, and then you know, we're going into uh episode four? Yeah, we're going into episode four. And I my first uh thing where Ian, the the narrator of the show, said um that uh Gabriel is pulling a reverse Leonardo de Capricorne. I thought that was funny because he had sex with that 52-year-old lady. Oh yeah, that was his secret. And everybody that was freaking uh Gabrielle be that that was getting getting it on. But then what did they say about um they said Bea was being a little age because to say a 50-year-old can't get it down and like old plumbing still works? Still works at it. What are you talking about? There's people in she didn't know the S T D rate in nursing homes, girl, they be getting freaky. You're 50. You know who is still a 50? Like Regina Hall. Oh, young don't know nothing. She don't know nothing. She's 25. I used to work in a nursing home at like 19, and them old people was freaked out. They're getting like all the time because they're like, We're over decrepit, we're gonna die in two days, anyway. So, what is the little SDD gonna do me? I'm already halfway dead. They don't think because there's their mindset is I'm not gonna get pregnant because everybody's past that. But like there's SDD, that's why the STD rate is so high. But you know, be a 50-year-old, you're not in a nursery home unless you have some issue. Like, you're out here living life. Exactly. So when she said it, I was like, girl, there's 52 year olds right now with two year olds. Like, please be like Cameron Diaz in her 50s, having kids still. Having kids, but Naomi Kendall, surrogate, but that's still her baby. Like, let's say come on now. Come on. That is too funny, but yeah, that it definitely does show your age. It's when you're gonna be able to do it. That is still gyrating to like 20 year olds, like please. 80 year old man having kids. Craziness, but you know, to show, you know, and we we still on uh Bryce and this damn hair, so that's that was one of my takes. Like Bryce, we gotta use something this hair to comb it back. Yes. And uh Kenzie bringing back the turtle tongue was pretty funny to me mentioning that again. And now we went from Kenzie having a one-side beef with uh we went from Kenzie having a one side beef with Zach to now Sorry, one second. It says device is struggling during recording. What should I do? That's you that's your device too. Yeah, I don't know why. Should we stop this one or start a new one? Hold on. It's easier for me to edit all the way through, so I'm hoping it stops. I think it'll be fine. I think. Oh heads up, you're recording new track. Oh now my background gone too, so both of us. Yeah, yeah. It brought us to a new track, so it should be better now. Um sorry, what were you saying about Bryce? Oh no, uh that was it for Bryce and his hair, but I was moving on to Melanie. I was saying that Kata, not Kada, Kenzie, we went from Kenzie having a one-sided beef with Zach. Now we have moved up to more one-sided beef. Now we have Melanie having a a memory loss issue on Kata's name. Keep calling her damn Katie. Her the girl name is Kada.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00Kate Kada. I know Kada is like, but she has done it twice now in calling that girl Katie. And that's very like passive aggressive, and uh you some one would say it's mean girl, but there's a you know, when you're talking to your man and he curr said the girl name and you're just like, huh? I don't care what that bitch name is. It was giving her you know, I love that for her. But let's not let's not have one side beef with a girl that didn't pull your man, your man pulled her. But apparently it wasn't just her because I remember Kata was talking to one of the guys, I can't remember who, but she said they can't the girls as a whole was calling her Coda or something like that. Like something that wasn't her name. They were messing up her name, but when she was having a a conversation with Sincere, I try to rewind it back 12 times because he said Kata, and she's like Katie, and he yeah, and she said Kata, she was like Katie, and then she was talking to Anaya. When she was talking to Anaya, she was like, Is it again?
SPEAKER_01Katie?
SPEAKER_00Like, no, like that was on so yeah. When you first come and people keep messing up your name, but they're gonna they're gonna eventually get it. But she was like purposely on purpose, right? Right. So and mind you, the girl didn't do anything but exit exist because Sincere is the one that pulled her for a chat. So when she's supposed to say no, she just got there.
SPEAKER_01She just got there. That's what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_00She she she didn't she's not the one that started a pineapple conversation about pineapple pizza. So yeah, like I was like, girl, please. And then now we move on to like the nighttime portion. This was a big debate on Twitter whether or not Bia went to bed with the leg. She didn't. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_01She does go to the bed with the comes with a leg.
SPEAKER_00I don't say it might be a comfort level thing for her, like on TV to like have it on at all times. Because yeah, I mean, I thought maybe they would just edit around it if she did decide to not wear it.
SPEAKER_01I don't know when she got in the bed and she put that blanket over her. I said, I know that's right.
SPEAKER_00I I you know, we gotta get somebody on here that talks about that type of stuff because I would assume that it's just a comfort level. Like I'm already here laying down, and now I gotta take it off and put it on and whatever. Right. Somebody triple. If they get up in the middle of the night or something, like where she wants to go to the bathroom, she gotta put that shit on. Like, I would have kept that true presentation. Love to see it. Yeah. I agree. I do to me, I'd be forgetting to me her leg kind of looks like a die high boot. So sometimes I forget that's what it is. I don't I don't think it's in as serious, in my opinion. I know everybody else is like up in arms, like, oh, we can't have her on the which is very A-less. I want everybody to know that. She can do anything, she can she has um bronze medals. What do we have? This podcast. I'm in between blessings. So yeah, I know I was like, love that. Like I was wondering if she does too, but I was like, no, why wouldn't she? Because if I gotta get up in the middle of the night, I don't got something damn leg.
SPEAKER_01I want to make sure it's on. So still still confused about Sean and Kenzie. That's Sean and Kenzie.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, they were kissing in the pool. Like after the challenge where they're like jumping in the pool and stuff, they were very much kids. Hold on a second. I'm gonna, anyways, sorry. Yeah, they're very much kissing in the pool. And I was like, oh, this is giving very much couple. And I just don't know how we got here. I don't know how we got here at all. I don't know how we got here either. And we're just we're just still going on with everybody like confused and talking and being mad at somebody for not picking them. I'm like, somebody needs to explain the concept to the show quickly and especially sincere, because he was getting mad, like, are we not in a couple or are we in a couple when he's talking to a nine feedback? So what is what is actually happening here? And then I think one of my notes was I hope the mayor see Chan acting a fool in the challenge. Not just open the eyes. Because this is this is because at this point now we're at the slime challenge, which honestly was my was my favorite challenge and also gave me the ink, but it was indeed my favorite challenge because we're back again with the one-sided beef with uh Kenzie and and Zach and Kata. Um yeah, Kenzie and Zach. Sorry, Kenzie and Zach. Like Kenzie and Zach, and she was like refusing not to dance on him. I was like, of course, but not you don't have to throw paper at him. We could have just do a little and then we have the standoff between Melanie and Keda. Mm-hmm. So at this challenge, you have to what is it, pick a person for a scenario? Like I can't remember exactly what the scenarios were. Yeah, so what uh what happens? They come out, they they do a little dance, they'll pick an islander, they'll read something off of a pamphlet and pick the islander that they think it's related to, and just climb them and then go inside this magical box, get some money, come out, and then they they'll make out with their partner. These challenges, I swear, if I was on Love Island, they were gonna have to explain to me 20 times for me to get it. Yes. So another weird little pocket beef was Bea and Kenzie because Gabrielle and Kenzie were speaking for a bit. So when they said which islander is stepping on people's toes or whatever, Bea picks Kenzie, and Kenzie's thrown off because she's like, Wait, what did I do? Like, all I've done is talk to the men because that's what I'm supposed to do.
unknownRight.
SPEAKER_00So there was a little bit of shade there, and then then we had Melanie shading Kata, and I cannot remember exactly what hers was. Do you remember what the phrase was? I do not remember, but regardless of the question, she was going to pick Kata regardless. Which I think which I think is just like, girl, you have to let it go. She did not pull him, he pulled her. He was the one that said y'all look alike. So if anything, it's crazy, and then Kata was like, I'm a tit for tap type of girl. So yeah, regardless of what the question was, I'm going to pick your man and we're gonna make out. The question was hers was more intense. It was uh which one deserves like an upgrade from their relationship or something along those lines. She said sincere. So she and then now Melanie is all confused as to why Kata would possibly pick her. I'm like, she's not definitely not used to somebody giving her as good as she gives it to others. It's very clear that Keda is not the one to play with. And Kada is one on my client list. I want you all to know that she doesn't play with people. She sets her boundaries, she's respectful. Because going back to when she first came in, when she's took uh Zach from Kenzie, she made sure to speak to her and say, like, I hope there's no hard feelings. You know, I had to pick somebody because that, you know, makes her vulnerable. That makes Kenzie vulnerable. So she's to me, that's how you do it. Again, you're not asking for per permission, you're not even asking for forgiveness. You're just like, I really hope that this, you know, doesn't mess up our first impression of each other. Cause you know, when you're having you're in your emotions, you're not always thinking the right way. And Love Island and any reality show is set up so people are, you know, not themselves and doing all this extra shit. But I thought it was really sweet that she did a check-in with her and made sure that she knows like we're cool. So I really I really flex with Kata. Like she is the number one clientele.
SPEAKER_01Smack a baby, like Melanie. Yes, she got a meme racing.
SPEAKER_00Now I'm gonna tell y'all about Kata's backstory. So Kata is from New Hampshire, which is like normally uh like a white state is how that there is, yeah. Yeah, so it's uh it's primarily white people in the state, and when there's a lot of white people and you're a minority of any kind, there you will experience really racism. That is to me a hundred percent that you're going to. So she experienced some racism allegedly from the girls in her school, and they decided to drop a video, just no context, no sound, being like, Oh, Keda is a bully, and immediately the internet clock, like, no, y'all don't even have context in this video as to why she decided to slap whoever that person was in the video. Like, y'all aren't seeing what happened. Because normally people come out with full story times, like, oh, she was a bully and this X, Y, and Z, she did this to me. There was none of that. It was, I found it first, I think it was like a Reddit page or something like that, and then it was like on threads, and I heard it was on Twitter. But the majority of the internet kind of clock, like, no, y'all probably did something to that girl to make her react that way. That's why there's no proper context to it. But they were trying to make it seem like she was a bully, and I think they were trying to get her off the island, which is going back to Vasana, who was removed for saying slur, and I need everybody to understand that being mean doesn't get you pulled off of anything, being racist does, or being a bigot of any sort is going to get you pulled because then you're messing with the integrity of a show which messes with their viewership and their money. So that's the only reason why they don't actually give a fuck about racism, they care about the backlash that comes with it. So be and also it's in their contract for like morality. So I'm pretty sure they can sue if you're getting pulled off for being an alleged bully for more whatever. That's not a real valid reason to remove somebody, but it's I think they were trying to also get her off because Love Island don't play that domestic violence shit either. That would be something that they have a lot of things that people can get kicked off for. Like one of the contestants got kicked off for doing like porn or something, and then another person got kicked off for being a rapist, one of the class of boys, and then another person got kicked off for uh domestic violence. But what we're seeing is uh how this even came to be was there was a girl on Twitter, not Twitter, sorry, there was a girl on TikTok, not gonna say her name, but if you're on TikTok, you will know. She made a video, not really talking, just was like, if you're from New Hampshire, you know Kata, you already know like she is violent and abusive and whatever, whatever. But that was the initial video, and then the the other video that surfaced was her, you know, pimp slapping the shit out of this young lady. And just wanted to note her contents of this video as well. You see Kata, who is also biracial. Kata is uh Haitian and white, mom's white, dad's uh black, he's from Haiti and migrated to the US. Oh, I think she said around 11, right? I think that's what she said her dad. I think it was her sister that said it, because her sister also made a TikTok about it. And you just see Kata and surrounded by surrounded by a lot of white people, right? You know, since surrounded by a lot of of her white peers. And we just see her smack the girl one time and she went ahead and smacked the girl again. Now, it would have been an issue if she slapped her and the girl didn't do anything. And I was like, Yeah, that's not okay. Like, even without contents, you can't just outright slap somebody and then they're not fighting back because then that would be in my eyes, bullying. But the girl comes back. She was fighting back. So it's a high school fight. I've been in I've been in a high school fight, and I broke the girl and I there's somebody to be like, Oh, you're a bully. Well, she started it first. No, yeah, people have to defend themselves. And even her mom came out and uh said it, or at least allegedly it's her mother. No, it's her mom. Her mom said it. Okay. That she was called the N-word. The sister backed it up and said, No, she was being bullied and they called her a slur. As you should, mama. So yeah, you're gonna teach your child to stand up for themselves. So at the end of the day, that's what happens. Like, you can't just go around calling people anything and say anything. People think it's like, oh, freedom of speech. It's not freedom of speech, it's consequences come with whatever it is that you say, whether it be a physical assault or being ripped off a show or losing an opportunity. This is not even just television, it happens in jobs too. Like, if they find out you did some crazy stuff, they will fire you. Especially the if it's public knowledge, like if it goes viral on social media, you're gone. Because they do it with CEOs, it goes as high as a CEO if their reputation is ruining the brand. Again, it's money they care about, you're gone. So that's that's pretty much it. But yeah, Kada don't take no shit. You know, shout out to New Hampshire Ripper. And then now now uh TikTok is getting well, TikTok and Twitter and Threads and Reddit and everybody else in between us now getting on the girl that that posted the the initial spark up of the alleged uh bullying. And she's all like, it's not that serious. You brought it to me, and then she went ahead and explained that oh, it was like a Snapchat voice note that she said to us. I'm like, what are we supposed to do with a high school voice note that you don't even remember the contents of? Right, and say, like, oh, well, she's it was one interaction that you had with her, and you decided to be like, oh, and then there are other people like, yeah, she bullied me in middle school grow up. Mind you, the girl has a um proposal saying, if I was black, I'd be picking cotton, but I'm white, so I'm picking you. That's her date that wrote that down. Whether or not that is real, it was a picture that's going around. So there's a hair, which you're saying it's not her, yeah. So that's a lot of her. But the whole thing was it may not have been her, but the boy that she uh the boy that was in the the picture per se was her ex-boyfriend, was her boyfriend at the time. So so not only are you, you know, out in people and whatever, because it wasn't one video that was surrounded, uh circling it about Kata, it was another one where she was fat phobic. I was like, So yeah, it it's a lot going on, but Kata, I think at the end of the day, there's certain things you just cannot kick somebody out for, and she's gonna I think she's gonna stay a fan favorite, uh at least for now, that's what is projected. And I think she'll be there until the end if she finds a good connection, and I think she will because she's gorgeous. I hope I hope her and Zach get far if he doesn't get far with Bryce first, but whatever works out will work out, and also in the same episode as well, we have our Jamaican baddie, uh Cornflake that came in from there Corbin. I'm so mad because my I was rooting for Corbin. I said, new bombshell is hot as hell. I even was about to say he's almost like Miguel level. I take that shit back, and I'm gonna tell y'all why. But that's what I wrote down. Oh, and I also put, let me just go through my little notes. Bryce is scamming, and I already told y'all I don't think him and Trinity like each other, and I feel like Trinity's starting to like him just because she's spending time with him, and I still feel like he's dragging it. He don't like her, I don't think. That's just me. Because every time Trini talks to somebody else, he keeps saying, like, oh, I gotta step it up, I gotta step it up. Why aren't you stepping it up at all times? Why aren't you showing her, you know, if this was Nick and Ola, let's go back. He was always stepping it up when it came to it. It's the hair. As soon as he saw Corbin walk in, he was like, That man is uh six foot four shaping in his Timbs. It's like my God. And six foot four, light skin, and that is Corbin's personality. Unfortunately, I was like, I had high hopes for him, and so far I'm not feeling him at all. Hate that Corbin is fine and that I hate his voice. Something about his voice, I was like, this accent sounds so familiar and it started to piss me off. And I was like, what is this? It's it sounds very Jamaican, right? And then I found that he was a Jamaican from Miami. I said, let this be the last season that Love Island has a damn Jamaican man from Miami because I'm still scarred from hokeing from season six. So let that let that be y'all last time. Get me a Jamaican woman from Baltimore or something, or from Kansas. I do that because another Jamaican man that doesn't even like black women is it's sending me in a disarray because Corbin's ex came online and said he doesn't like which which also pissed me off because Miss Latina Badi, you say what a man that said, Oh, I'm not, I don't like white girls and black girls, and that was okay to you. Because I love my men. I love my people's that's bad. But something about a Jamaican man from Miami that said he don't date black women really rubs me the wrong way because your country's predominantly black. Right. So it must be the bleaching because that's the only way I can think about this. But besides that, Corbin is corny as hell, and I stand behind that. I he's he's oh my god, it doesn't take us away from the fact that he's fine, but he got that electric sound like ladies, ladies. But is he one of them people that like if you let them talk long enough, you're like, okay, I'm over it. Like, I don't find your job. Yeah, we he's good to look at because he's having this conversation with them, and uh it it was very much it was dry. And you know, Melanie was doing a lot, I will say. Oh, yes, we gotta talk about like the whole thing when he comes in and how okay, so Melanie's still upset over since you're pulling Cada, even though she acts like she's not. So when Corbin comes in, it's a whole Broadway theatrics, like she is lighting up and excited and talking to him, and like they do this thing on Love Island where they separate whatever gender away from their partners and just let them talk to the bombshell that comes in. So they did that. Um so they went in a circle, and then all the girls are talking to Corbin, which is hard enough because it's like what six people on a couch, and Melanie's like leaning, and then um she's like blocking the view of Trinity and Kenzie, I think. Yeah, because Kenzie was right behind her, and then Trinity was high Kenzie. So they Trinity said something, and I think uh I can't remember if she did it again, but I know she did say something to her, like, oh girl, you blocking or whatever. And then the middle of Trinity was like, damn girl, like back up, like whatever. We can't see. Right. Her legs was on the his food, and she was like in his face, me giddy, and on let she like notice me type shit. Like, notice me, like talk to me, like I'm here, ignore everybody else type shit. So with that, he's in the middle of talking, and he's she's like, I want to pull you for a chat. So every last one of the girls was like rubbed the wrong way from this scenario situation here. But um Bea is the one that said, like, oh, I'm gonna I did she doing too much and I'm gonna tell her tonight. So it's her Trinity and I think Anaya when she's done talking to Corbin because then Kenzie leaves, I think. Kenzie and Gana goes. At this point, I think we don't see yet until uh episode five, but Kenzie ended up talking to him because he's pulling her chat. And I will and I will say, I will say this pulling a bombshell mid-group chat has to be the boldest thing I've ever seen. Because normally he will they'll talk, they're all whatever, whatever, and then he'll be like, Hold on, girls, I'm gonna go talk to the boys. He still has not had a group discussion with the boys. Have you noticed that? There was no there was no there's no boys' group discussion because normally after they talk to the girls, they go talk to the guys and you know see what's going on and who's in a couple, and then they'll peek the bombshell would have time throughout the villa to pull the girls or the girls pull them. But she immediately cut that shit short. She said, I want to talk to you. And then it's the conversation was very lackluster. Because I'm like, You want to talk about what? Like nothing's happening. And that's how you know she was doing that because she wanted to get back to sincere. Because Corbin is fine too, but let's not act like sincere, not either. It's not like, oh, this is a big jump from the man I'm with. To me, they're like around the same caliber of man. Right. So she was to me doing that to give him the taste of his own medicine. I think everybody kind of knew that. So it's like you're doing all this extra stuff, not being considerate to everybody else. And um, when Bea decided to bring it up, this has been like a social media discussion as to what who is in the wrong with it. I mean, Bea is very direct, but let's not act like Melanie hasn't been very direct or no, very passive aggressive with Kada as well, and nobody has said anything. Right. Nobody has said a word. It's one of those things where nobody's wrong, nobody's also right as well, because Melanie is wrong in a way of pulling him in the way that she did, because he was literally in the middle of answering another question. Because I think it was Trinity that asked him, like, well, for his last relationship, if he if he doesn't mind, and then he goes on to say, like, they drifted apart, which is a lie. Because the ex that he cheated, and he was still answering a couple more questions, and she cut him, she cut him off mid-conversation and said, I'd like to pull you for a chat. Now, all fair, all is fair in love and war, you know, you just gotta move with the quickness. Right. My issue with the the Bea thing is that speak for yourself and not for others, because Kenzie has her own mouthpiece. You're not Kenzie's mouthpiece. Kenzie, yes, she's single, and I understand maybe she should talk to him first, but that doesn't guarantee her that the man is going to like her. If she talked to him first, what's gonna happen? Nothing. She's gonna have a first impression, but if she's gonna have a last in one, right? Maybe not. So what Bia's not wrong in what she said, like girl did too much, which is which is true. You obviously this, but people from different states have a way how they talk to everybody else because you have me trying to correct my behavior. It's only been they three. Who are you talking to? Relax. I said it was my bad, and it should have been dropped from there, but she continued to push the issue, right? So I think it's for it's the fact that she didn't apologize on uh Bea's end, and she also probably feel like she was hurry up and kind of like swatting at the conversation to quickly move on. So, because I've seen a lot of people say that. Uh, one of my mutes was Amanda has said that as well. Like, she could see from Bea's uh point of view that Melanie was just like not understanding why she was in the wrong because she was like, Oh, I didn't mean to, which isn't apology. Correct me if I'm wrong, anybody, but I don't feel as though she's like, Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to. It was just I didn't mean to. Yeah, my bad, I didn't mean to. Which depending on that's a state by state thing, because uh my bad, like I'll say that's my bad. Yeah, I say my that's my bad. It just depends on what state, because we from Baltimore, we be like, oh, my bad, I ain't mean to whatever. And Philly is Baltimore cousin, so if somebody said, Oh, my bad, that's that's the apology. No, not necessarily apology, more like shit, like I didn't mean to do that, like my bad, like whatever. And normally that is followed by an apology, but in this case, she was she said my bad, she didn't mean to do it. I think where the issue lies is where Bia was pressing it like, but I think we're doing it. And she's like, okay, but when? And couldn't say. Uh-huh. So yeah, it's like right and wrong, because I did say, like, on my TikTok that I felt as though, you know, Kenzie should have got first dibs. But as everybody said, you know, there's no rules with that. I just think it was the whole situation that was just kind of off-putting. It's like you're cutting people off, you're blocking them, and it's like me, me, me, me, me, pick me, pick me. And it's like you went to talk to that man all for him to ultimately pick somebody else at the end of the day, just for you to really still want to be with your man. So it's like, you know, you were I see where everybody was coming from, like you said. Yeah, everybody, everybody was right and wrong. And then to also top it off while I was putting a bad taste in everybody's mouth, is that you didn't pull him. Maybe maybe because yeah, she obviously liked him and anybody can pull him. Because she's she said that, oh, that's my type to a T, which I which that is going into the next episode, anyways. Right. But my issue with her pulling him wasn't because she genuinely wants to pull him because she's well enough interested in him, and she it wasn't a genuine pull of like, I'm interested in this person. Because if her and Sincere were on a better term and this happened, then I'd have been like, oh, okay, it's still kind of crazy, but okay, you really you really fucked with this man. Right. But because her and Sincere um were going through their little tidbit, and then also her one-sided beef at Kata, because a lot of people on the internet say Corbin was like body language towards Kata, and he was mid-flight talking to Kata and Trinity at the time. She just felt like she wanted to one up on Kata and then also let everybody because at that time everybody was watching the girls talk to him, and also the girls were already in a group, so it's like a power move of instead of playing telephone, I want y'all to physically see me pull this man, and also since I see it, a win is a win. Exactly. And for me, I didn't give her as much grace because she's already been shading Keda, calling her Katie and all this other stuff. So I'm like, you're just rude at this point, in my point of view. And I think a lot of people were just like, Yeah, get her off the island and stuff like that, because it was given very much Huda 2.0 from last season, where the entire focus for like two episodes was her drama with Jeremiah. And I was getting bored to the point where I was gonna stop watching the show. I was like, if we have one more episode with just this, I'm done. Cause I want to see everybody, and you're not getting to see the connections as is because the runtime is, you know what it is, and they're filming for 247. So you're cutting into it by making everything your problem and your situation and not really worried about and considering other people. Cause mind you, is it in this episode? Or next episode where she's like, Oh, I'm gonna pull Casey and we're going into next episode at this point. Yeah, different episode with this one, yeah. So this is going so you're on the right track with this because now we're going into episode five, which is our most recent three episodes at this point. Because first part of the the the Kata thing, then she had the whole like side beef of Kata, and then uh the I was about to call him Serenity. Sincere. But my boy Sincere. And now we're going into a next episode. Because these episodes are carrying on now for the for the next day. And at the end of that episode that you were talking about, this is where she had her big her big blow up because now she comes back and uh Beaumon. She's like, give me 10, give me 10, because she she took it so much, she was like, Oh, Beia doing too much. Like she walked off, even when Trinity tried to change the conversation over, and she's like, I don't want to be here anymore. And then again, it's giving very much last season because you're making it so the whole entire villa can see that you're having an issue. Because you could have silently just like ran off and just be like, I can't do this. Or just be like, I need some time. You know, too, but have a conversation, be like, yeah, I'm done with this conversation. You could just walk off and be like, as of right now, I think I'm I I'm not happy with this conversation. I'm starting to get a little irritated. So I'm gonna just step aside for a second and just calm down because I don't want to have this conversation and then but now she gets up and make a spectacle about it, and now everybody can see the spectacle because they were having a heated discussion back and forth. And now we're going to episode five. And mommy Maya, because I'm gonna call her mommy Maya, before that, before that, before that, you left the girls that you actually that actually can tolerate you and like you, and you go to Kata and ask her, can we chat? The same girl that you slimed or whatever that you called out, the same girl that you called Katie, like that's what is crazy to me. And Kata, Miss Stand All Business, was like, uh, like I know she didn't want to be rude because you can see that girl is going through, but also, why are you coming to me? We are not friends. And she has said that before, like, it's fake love coming from um from Melanie towards Keda because you're constantly doing these like very uh snippy things and trying to get one up and try to be snide and stuff, but you want a friend now, like that's why you don't burn bridges with people. Because what did that girl do to you to where y'all shouldn't have any animosity, right? Because even after that challenge, right? Because she was like, Oh, well, why did you pick me? Stand on business, love that. They're very direct. These girls, the season, I'll pretend this. They're bold and they're direct, and if they have something to say, they're gonna immediately say it because first sample, well, why did you pick me? Kid is like, because you pick me. Yeah, she's like, fair kid. Love that. Love the you know what I love? It's giving me two mean girls in high school facing off on who's a honcho. I and I love to see it. Call me crazy, but I love to see it. I like to see it too, because I don't like when people are like trying to tiptoe around people's feelings and handle people with kid gloves. We are all in the same age range. You are not a child, and you sign up for this experience just like I did. We gotta keep each other, we all have to live in this villa in this cramp-ass situation. I'm gonna be real with you, which is hard for people to do because I'm not the best with confrontation all the time either. Because sometimes I like wait a little too long and I explode on people and it comes out. So I'm working on that. But the fact that they're able to do that and try to communicate the best that they can, even with Bea too. Like she told her right away whether or not people liked how she came off, they all said the same thing, like at least she was direct and at least she wasn't talking behind her back. So kudos to them for that. Everybody's just Bea's the only oldest one, everybody's under 25, which is crazy. The girls are all under 25, so you just got a whole bunch of girls that just got out of high school not too long ago in the ground. They're just patty. Trinity is the only mature one at this point. I was like, she's the way to look at it. She didn't write now because yeah, and I too. To me, I wrote down that Anaya has like the most sense, like in the villa for the most part. I think I mean, yes, yes, I feel like level-headed, I would say. She's very level-headed, very level-headed. She's very cute. I love her. She's oh my god, her body banging. But Anaya needs to stop babying Melanie, and immediately because you why are we running after this girl? Like, yeah, let her have a moment. Give her let her calm down. She's grasping at straws at this point. She needs to go, go sit in a corner and talk. But obviously, like, as as black women, you see a damsel in distress, we're the first to because we we've been there where we needed someone, and also like Melanie's also a black woman. Well, afra-Latina, but you know, but you want to be there for that person, and and also like the friendship connection building, and you don't want her to be by herself just crying in a puddle of her. Yeah, exactly. So it it sucks that Anaya is her edit has been like motherly, more so than her connection with because we are barely talking about Casey and Anaya. I mean, they have a little something coming up in this next episode that we're gonna talk about because it's a pretty big part of social media discussion. But yeah, most of this is Anaya's running behind somebody or being a friend of somebody, which there's nothing wrong with, but also, girl, like, why is this your edit? We need to see more of you and your man together. But that's why I wrote uh Melanie is fake, because I feel as though she was being fake with the Kata situation, and then like later on, yeah. But her and Bia end up squashing it because Bea was like, I want to talk to you. So they she pulls her for a chat and basically try to just defuse the situation. And a lot of people were saying how Melanie kind of didn't take any really accountability, she just let Bea apologize, and that was it. Okay, she she felt the apology is is is needed, and you know what? To be fair, Beya was probably trying to get Kenzie away from Gabrielle. So how whatever the motive, she was still correct, because she wasn't the only one that feels that way. She still was correct, her approach was crazy, but you know, and Kenzie's doing well because now in the next episode. Oh, wait, before we before we get to that, that conversation that they squash things with that opens like Bea to talk about how she because uh Melanie says something strange about how she wished she was more athletic like her, which then was like she could compete with the boys or some shit. Some weird, it was a very weird w shift in topic. So basically she was trying to give her a compliment, but it came off very weird. And then Bea was like, No, they don't want that. Like, I always have to like fight for my femininity and stuff like that, and how she grew up, and how her parents told her, like, don't cry unless it's like you're physically hurt. So that explains like I think she was further trying to explain her tough theory and how she speaks to people and blah blah blah. So, and then there's been like online discourse of whether or not Bea is part of the LGBTQ community, which I never like. I'm not gonna say I never talk about that behind the scenes because I do like I text people or my friends will bring it up, and I don't really say anything. But I feel like on a public platform where people get on TikTok and on Instagram stories to talk about somebody's sexuality publicly for other people to either join in and make it a joke, it's always weird to me. I'm like, why are we doing that? Whether or not she's lesbian or not, let her figure that out. She could just have masculine energy and someone's or she's bi. That bi is a thing, bi exists. We're over here calling be a a secret lesbian, but rooting for Zach and Bryce, and we're both streaming. But also that's weird too. It's like when people do that, like it gets to a point I didn't like when they did it with Aaron either. Because when he left the villa, you could tell was he moving weird? Yes. But like, be like, oh, he's so in love with Rob and Aaron's clearly gay and all this other stuff. It's weird to me. I feel as though the way women express like fondness for their friends and is very close and lovey dovey and touchy, it's they don't they don't see that with men and just they'd be like, if it if it's happening between two men, they must be gay. No, that's European. I love my girls. I love my girls. Me and my homegirl, we be hugging, laughing, and they'd be like, Oh my god, you're so pretty.
SPEAKER_01You know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_00We're just a couple of girls. And with Bea, I definitely hope that now that she has brought that up, I hope that they squash that conversation because she could very much be straight and just let her be the one to tell the public what she wants to tell them. This is exactly why we're not allowed to message people uh or comment on people's stuff because all her stuff would have been like you're gay. Awesome. Or something like that. So I'm glad that they made it to where nobody can comment or tag them against three, four, or five people in that cast now. And I think my crazy assumption is that this gay allegation is being pushed because people want the next season to just be full of queers. And I was like, they they said we're gonna push queers. So they'd be like, I don't care if Casey is straight, he gives me gay. So we're gonna push the uh agenda. I don't care if Zach and Bryce has a a a strong found in romance. We're gonna push the the the gay agenda because we need some queer representation and we're gonna get it. So they can do that during the winter time, I feel like. Next season, watch out. I'm telling you. Watch out. We shall see, but leave um Beya and all the rest of the islanders alone because y'all don't know people's mental, you know, situations. But let's talk about uh Corney as Corbin. Oh my god. Yes, Corbin. So we have now in the beginning of the episode where Corbin and Kenzie Dad's now having her sunshine moment. She is getting all the feels that she wanted from Zach, from Corbin. And you know what? Good on you, Kenzie. Like I said in the beginning of this episode, I was like, Kenzie, you need to find someone that thinks your blue eyes are beautiful because their favorite color is blue. And Mr. Green Eyed Monster said he loved them and they're they're striking or beautiful or piercing, whatever he said. She's like, Oh my god. And then she's like, Am I eye fucking? Like, no. I was like, you know what? This conversation is dry, but Kenzie is loving it. And then they're talking about a kiss, and he's like, Would you want to remind me? Yeah, that's his favorite line. He wants to get a kiss. Cornflake, I hate when good-looking men are corny. That is like, it takes him down. Is and then I remember he's 22 or whatever. Because I was like, This this right here that is happening is not happening in real life. And then they can't, and like I said, I don't want to call Tandy a bird. I just think she's easily fooled. She's a cute girl. I love her. She's like wide-eyed. And I was like, This is the simplest layup I've ever seen. And she looked at that. And that's because look at her track record in the villa, it's only been a couple days, but she's never been picked. She did the picking with um Zach, and that didn't work out. She went into a default situation with Sean. They just so happened to like they were just like, Oh, let's try to be this thing together. And then now Corbin, you know, is showing interest in her. So it it makes sense as to why she went for it because you can tell, like, Kendi is used to being center of attention and she hasn't been getting on the island. So she's like, Oh, here's a guy that really likes me, just for him to turn around and do the same shit with Kata and try to get a kiss from her multiple times, mind you. Multiple times, which is crazy because the kiss between Corbin and Kendi was the silent that's not a weird kiss I've ever. I'm like, LaVana, put some fucking background music to this shit because it was just a it was like you don't gotta spend big budget, don't gotta be Sabrina Carpenter, just put a little whimsical music when they're kissing, please. Right. Back in the days, we used to get a little cover of some ladies randomly screaming like the kiss. This soft and ref because they're kissing too much. They don't want to paint. And why are we not cussing these kids short? Like, just show us them kissing, and if it doesn't go anywhere, cut it short and clip to the next scene. And speaking of next scene, we see Corbin Blue moving on to Kata asking for a kiss with the same line. Same line, talking about the eyes. He lied. Oh, yes. They said he lied about like kissing Kenzie or something. I think I missed that. When he went to kiss Kata and Kata was like, Oh no, like, are you kissing anybody else? And he was like, No. I said, You know what? This is a master liar right here. I know a player when I see one, and honestly, that that rolled off his tongue too quick. He's like, No. And forgetting he's being recorded on national television. Imagine what happens when he's not no wonder why his ex came out and said he cheated. Right. Because this is what he does for sport. All you do is lie for sport. Lies, lies. And then with and then also, and also another ick. You asked for a kiss three times. Oh, he wanted Kata back. He wants K to back. Talking about, oh, he's he's he's bombshelling. And then I was like, okay. And then now you're and then we clip back to our main star of the show again, Melanie, complaining and her complaining to her couple about the situation, telling him, telling Sincere that he needs her, she needs him to be his friend right now. And he was like, Okay, like I'm supposed to be your man or auditioning to be your man, but whatever. And then she talks about the situation and blah blah blah. So yeah, you know that's crazy. That was really nice of him because me, I'm not listening to my man bitch about a girl, a woman, because I like who wrongs the Omega right? Like, I I pull data and I understand that you're mad, and give me the backlash of it, but don't sit here and talk to me about how the girls were, whatever, and then say to his face, oh, he's my type to a T. Right. And so I'm like, well, talk to him about it. Cause she didn't she say she didn't have a type initially, like, wasn't that the thing that made it worse? You know what? I don't know if she said it or not. Can't really remember, but her saying that that Corbin is her type to a T while she's in a couple still, it while since there is like, I know he was like, What is happening here? And he probably was just like taking it on the chin, like, you know what? Let it be for what it is. But shout out to Kata for turning down the kiss. She would really, she really did her big one with that. So there is there is that. And yeah, there I think Corbin took up a lot of the episode by being cringe, and like he used the same line on them with like, oh, it's your eyes, and blah, blah, blah. And then we realized that his conversations with those two girls were they differed from Anaya and Trinity with the two darker skinned black girls, where he was saying, like, I think it was to Anaya, where he was like, He's a lover boy, but it has to come out. And then, like, I think Trinity asked who is your type, and with Kenzie, when she asked that, he said you, and with her, he said, like, some other answer. So it was very clear he doesn't physical attributes first, and then obviously, like uh personality. And I was like, Of course that will come from a nigga that's 6'4 that has no personality himself because all he has to offer is his physical attribute. I mean, of course, he's well educated as well, a level educated black man. But who can tell, like, when people personalities are especially men, their personality is just their height. Because I think somebody asked him, he was in the middle of talking and he was laughing, and someone's like, I think it was Kata, like, how tall are you? He immediately locked and was like six four. I was like, Oh. He said, Yeah, this is what's good. He again, he's in a situation with a bunch of fine men, and he's gonna realize real quick that they're not gonna want you just based off of the fact that you look good. Like it's a long summer to just be staring at somebody you can't have a conversation with. Like, you gotta bring something, you have to have a personality, you have to be able to carry a conversation, and they have to be able to see like a future with you, which with him saying, like, oh, he wants to be him. I think it was with Keda. He went somewhere where he could leave and be us against the world or whatever. And I feel like he only said that because that's what Keda said she wanted. Because he was like, Oh, we're notorious for not wanting to settle down because we're 22. Then why are we on a show about us? I mean, also, like, you're 22. Why would you want to? I I've no settle down, in my opinion, for them, is being a really long-term relationship. That's their version of settling down, not like having kids and stuff. Because otherwise, why are you there? It's like then the show should start at 25. It really should. Um, because you know, there's many a uh discourse about the the age on Love Island, because they say it used to be like an older, like an older which it was, which it was. But also, we have plenty and no disrespect, and and and there's many people that don't like Ace. Ace is a great example, maybe not a great example, but um just for this conversation per se, because he was 22 and and also Cordell was 22 at the time of how they how they carry themselves really well. And I know a lot of time people give Ace a lot of a lot of slack for how he outside of the villa, but when he was inside the villa, he was very much level head. He when he had a conversation with Huda, he let her know, like, your behavior, you're a mom, that doesn't exempt you from how you're acting, like you're acting, you know, whatever. When he also was in a conversation with Amaya, he was like, Don't yell at me, like we're having a conversation, you you're doing too much, and he expressed himself, and that was like another way of like him having to grow up too quickly. And Cordell is also a great example of that because he carried himself so well that half of people forgot that Cordell was 22. Yeah. So you don't want to you don't want to cut people off from an opportunity per se because they're so young and the show is about finance, right? Well, it's supposed to be about finding up about finding love, and you want to give those people an equal opportunity. But we got to level out the age because they ask so many questions, like they can you can tell whether or not somebody's serious and what they want based off of the millions of questions they ask these people. So for um somebody like Corbin to be on the show, is like, what are you doing here? And and not just him, Gabrielle as well, who's not showing like you're looking for anything. Gabriel's just there to have a good time and take a shirt, okay. And I mean, I mean, I get it if you're bringing like different personalities to bring something, and I guess not everybody's meant to make it to the end anyway. You're supposed to have like these different things and see what you want, but for it to be so early, and I feel like some of these men just really not for it. I think who's looking for a real? I think possibly sincere substantially Sean, Casey, and Zach, I think are Bryce. I don't know what he's looking for, but so far it's not Trinity. You know what? Bryce is there to have a a good time, and Bryce gives me from the the white men that I date that be saying like racially charged stuff, where he's like, Oh, you you ain't never seen a white boy move these white ass hits. I can't believe he said that. And that and that right there let me know Bryce don't he's never dated a black woman. And if he has, it was more so a hookup because that's the type that those the type of white boys that say stuff like that. They're interested in black women, but they don't know how to have that conversation. He was like, Oh, I'm like thick, I like skinny, and yeah, and I was like, why are we saying this? Well, like he's saying it's uplixter because Trinity isn't wrong in the black community. Like, our beauty standard is it depends on who you're talking to. But as far as the physical part of it, body-wise, our beauty standards are big breasts, big hips, a little uh a little thing back in the Trump, you know what I'm saying? You have uh great skin, black people are really big on hygiene and and great skin. So she isn't wrong. Like, when we're that skinny, but don't nobody want no bones, that's what they say, you know what I'm saying? Yeah, because you can look at all of our music videos and like hip-hop and RB, and you can see the type of women that are cast. Right, they're all like curvier, like yeah. Right, even at their skinniest, they have that drunken, right? Who slam sick, right? So when he said it, I was like, as endearing as it sounds, it didn't land well like with me. Add it to the list of Bryce's crimes, basically. So yeah, that's another one of his crimes. But besides all that, besides Bryce being cringy and Corbin tonguing down fucking Kenzie and trying to do the same with Kada, I think most of the episode was I think it was more so centered, like Sean trying to find his place and his person as well. Because then we find out there's a recoupling, the first recoupling of the season, and it's a girls that get to pick. Then, well, I guess the bombshells pick second, but I feel as though it should have been the guys picking. But I think I guess it would just be more drama given the fact that Sincere constantly said he feels like Melanie's not gonna pick him. Like he said that through the season. Sean is like wiltering. I think it they did it based off of how things are aligning because Kenzie had more options than Sean did. And now when it comes to Sean, we haven't talked about him a lot besides saying that he's a cop and a dad, but he has been kind of like floundering. He spent a lot of his time speaking with Kenzie and like trying to form a connection, yeah, which which is his fault. But he would say things like Anaya and Trinity are his top as well. And then Trinity has said in her um confessional, like she must have a conversation with Sean. So it's like, if that was your top, why didn't you try to go talk to her? You waited until like at the end, 11th hour, to tell Bryce, I'm gonna pull her. And yeah, and I don't even think he talks to Anaya. So yeah, everybody everybody's just doing their own thing because even with the the Sean thing, right? We see Anaya talking to him in the bathroom and said, I want you to stay, like I really like you. And then she told her friends, like, Sean is in my top two, which we know Casey was not in her top two, since we and then it was Sean, but here we are. And he said, Kenzie, not Kenzie, he said Trinity, he wanted to talk to Trinity and Anaya, and we only he may have talked to Anaya because we gotta, we're just only talking about what we see and not what's behind the scenes. So he might have had multiple conversations with multiple people. But what what the audience is seeing from the the edit is that it only speaks for Trinity. And my thing is that you and Kenzie are both single people, and the initial thought would be like, Oh, she would she's gonna pick me because you're both single, and she probably would have, but I think you and I talked about this off camera that she said she wouldn't have because you wouldn't have, right? So, spoiler alert, Sean goes home. She's not picked, but you had the opportunity to talk to Trinity and well, whoever, Anaya and and didn't do it, didn't do it. So it's like, yeah, you put all your eggs in one basket, and and even Anaya asked, like, would you have chosen? Because all right, just so that y'all know, It up the Corbin gets to pick first because he just got there, so it doesn't apply to him that a girl has to pick him. So he ends up picking Kenzie because Kada was not giving him no play play. Like, I think that's why. Yeah, everyone basically says in the couple that they were in, and um Sean ends up going home. But then Anaya asked, asked uh Kenzie, would you have chosen Sean if they let you pick? And she said, I wanted to see and explore things, but I was gonna choose Corbin. So even after all the effort that Sean put in, I feel like Kenzie just didn't want to be a stepmother. Like it just wasn't a place for Sean, unfortunately.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Um, they should have at least had somebody else that either had a big a little sister that they were taking care of or a child themselves, like something that they could understand, or if they grew up like taking care of children, they don't necessarily have to have a child, but somebody that was open. But all these girls this season are just too young and just were not for it. And it was a sad I believe in. I feel as though he would have had a little bit of a chance with a woman that was probably in her 29, like 20, like late 20s, maybe like a 30-year-old woman. We have women on the show before who were like in their 30s. And that would have given a little bit more leverage because, like I said, if you're at at our age, you're just like, well, damn, if a man has a kid, like who our age doesn't have a child at this point, like as long as you're like an actual father, do what you do what you do. And I'm I'm not mother. The the kid already has a mother. I'm just here as an extra feminine energy. Right. Uh-huh. So and they'll love babes, but you have a whole bunch of women that are under the age of 25. They're gonna pick the dudes that don't have kids. Because if I'm 22, why would I want to play stepmommy when I don't have a kid myself? Exactly. It's a lot of it's a big responsibility. And like with everybody else, you get to be carefree, and then you have more time to focus on your relationship versus like, you know, he has to split his time between you, his job, and his child. So it's an it's really a lot. That's why I said for the single parents, it's really a difficult one because it's like, yeah, you know, they should be able to go on reality TV, but everybody says the same thing when you have a child, your your life shifts, so you can't really be surprised if you're not really as desired in certain spaces anymore, if that makes sense. I think it's a little bit harder for the dads than it is women because with women who have kids on the show, it's it's a little bit more lenient for them because I don't think men care as much. I don't want to speak on what men care what they don't care because I'm not a man myself, but from things that I've seen with HUD or she had a kid and Jeremiah was still trying to talk to her. Chris knew that she had a kid and he he got far and and they knew. So I think the men are a little bit more lenient, but with the girls, they're like, absolutely not. So I think with the HUD and Jeremiah situation, she waited, so it gave her I think that's why she did it too. She did say that she wanted someone to get to know her and not like push her off. But it's like damn if you do and damn if you don't, basically. And unfortunately for Sean, it just was nobody on the villa and he has to go back. But I think he's gonna get some follows and some brand deals and maybe another opportunity on another reality show, like maybe perfect match on Netflix or something like that. Like we'll probably see something. Can't let a fine man not be on our camera just. Or love is in games. Yeah, you'll see him again. Well, I gotta see him somewhere else. If it's not in my bedroom, I might as well see him on T. We gotta see Shavi. We'll see you again. I'm sure you're about to get out and do some in interviews and have girls in your DMs. He'll be alright. Tell him I'm available when you do the interview. I hope I I hope I can book Sean. I guess I am a senior, I am I'm up there, I'm older, I will take the baby. I love kids. Yes. And to wrap everything up, we didn't talk about the um Anaya and KC situation. Like the whole let's touch base on it. We were having this uh discussion and it was a heated debate. It was you and I are KP lovers, and our artists are quadrants. We're like, he's a no for them. Uh-huh. So those of you who are not in the black community, it is difficult sometimes for black women to really get the respect that we deserve as like when we're dating. So we don't even get it sometimes from our own men, our own community. We get a lot of like black women are aggressive, we are too, we're just too much, or whatever the case may be. So when we get somebody like Casey who brings up a conversation telling Anaya that she is the blueprint and she is who he thinks of, and when he thinks of a black woman, and he was really trying to speak life into her, and people call it performative, it's gonna split the community in half because we have been dying for our men specifically to speak life into us, to protect us and do all the things that Casey seemingly is trying to do, but because I think they edit it weird and it just made it like a random drop of a conversation of him just like saying these things to her. Some people are like, Where did this come from? This seems performative, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Like he's just trying to have like TV time, screen time. Mind you, we haven't seen Casey or Naya in a hot minute. So I don't think he's doing consoling somebody. So, yeah, like I was saying. So I'm like, if he was doing all of this, I feel as though we would have seen, excuse me, more of it. Like he we would have seen more of these, like, you know what I'm saying? I'm not saying he wasn't doing it like they weren't building a connection because I do see slowly, but I feel like their conversations are probably like goo goo gaga to this, to where it's like constantly compliments and like cutesy things to where it's just not making TV because it's boring or would be seen as boring. But I love it. I think it was cute what he said. I think it's good to have it on a TV show where it has a mixed audience of all races to see it. And I thought it was really nice of him to, you know, speak life into his current partner. And I'm here for it. I don't think it's performative. Yeah, you know, like I said, we were a split group. You and I are KC lovers, while like I said, our other two cavagres is like it's performative, and you know what? It well enough damn well could be a performance, but I'm here and I love it because guess what? I'm always gonna, I'm I'm always gonna talk on this, right? Love Island editing is very chop, and certain things, when I first saw it, I was like, what the hell is he talking about? This is such a random conversation. Yeah, I'm like, why? I was like, why is he saying this? And as I'm listening, I was like, you know what? Hell yeah, I love that. And I was like, I do love this because at the time, what what I was trying to explain about this conversation is that we do it to ourselves. Like we be like, What's up, my beautiful black queen? Or I love your chocolate skin, or oh, your skin color is so nice, you're such an even brown. We give the compliment to ourselves to uplift us, especially if you're particularly my skin tone and and going down the color grade. We don't we don't hear it like a lot. Like I don't remember hearing a lot of times where someone be like, Oh, you're pretty brown skin, unless it's from a white man, and then I'd be like, please save it, because that's just gonna be fetish. But when I hear it from black men, it it makes me feel good about myself because there's been times where black men told me that I'm too dark. And God forbid a a girl darker than me, I would I would hate to hear what they say to them because I'm not that dark, and someone is telling me that, oh, I would never have a baby. This is out of a black man's mouth. Like, I would never have a baby with you because you're too dark. I don't want my kids to come out dark, and that's not just from one black man. I've heard it multiple times from men that are my complexion, like look just like me. So when I saw that conversation with Casey, yes, it was out of out of place. But when I heard it, the girl was damn near about to tear up. So I was like, there's no way she's tearing up off of this randomized compliment. Because if you said it to me, I was if you said it to me at random top, like, okay, like I I don't know where that's coming from, but thanks. I guess but she was on the verge of like tears, and it does sound performative and it does sound like it's pandering. But if you go on his page, he has he has the receipt. Mind you, it's in the clothes, it says black. Mind you, not to cut you off, but they're saying like people are trying to glue together um Zach and Trinity. But when it comes to him speaking life into a black woman, you know, a black man speaking life into a black woman, it's all of a sudden it's performative. Mind you, Nick and Alanji were brought together by fans, seeing like he's interested in her, blah blah blah. But for some reason, it's always questioned when it's coming from, you know, a black man. It's like you can't have it both ways. If this is what we want and this is the type of things we want from our men, then why would you try to because then they're not gonna say it. They're gonna be like, oh, it's gonna come off as X. Damn funding. Right. They're gonna be scared to open their mouth and say it because then we're gonna roll your eyes, they're gonna be called corny or whatever. But no, I think he should be held up. You're taking a chance regardless when you're dating. So the whole performative thing is like a nigga could always be on his best bullshit. You just never know. That's the chance you're taking when you're dating. That's just with with anybody. And I think the season, I think also we have seen multiple, and also, I'm not gonna put it all on the black women that watch Love Island be like they're wrong or anything. We have seen multiple times from different seasons of Love Island USA where the black man is being performative towards the the black women and pandering to her and then turnaround and really just pull the rug from under her. And it's just a crazy thing of like, we just have to put faith in the men that that are interested in you because it could happen from any man, and it doesn't have to be a black man, it could be any man of any race. And for the longest time, we as black women have heard that we're we're not desirable, and which is which isn't true because we've heard other races of women say they do like us, but it's been pushed into a narrative that we aren't desirable, and it's the darker you get, the less desirable you are. And to see him say whether it's a performance, if we as black people think it's a performance, well be it, but the other races of people need to see that black men do love black women, black men do find black women attractive, black men do see her uh a beautiful black skin and be like, I love your chocolate skin. My family's black. This is what we want, this is what we want to build the black love and whatever. So, yeah, us in our community might find it performative. Damn if you do damn if you don't, but other races need to see that and I've saw this comment before, like, y'all own men don't even want y'all. Here's the exactly exactly true. We are desirable not only to our own men, but throughout Nickelandria to other races of and and that goes to Lee Ann and these is just the ones that end up with white men. So they're just like Sean saying that he wanted you know Trinity and blah blah blah. So like that was good. Right, Sean, who's a biracial that wants Trinity and Anaya. We have Nick who was interested in Landra, and people are trying to say that's not his type because his ex was a blonde and it's always a battle. It's a year later, and they still doing their PR relationship, as some may uh some may say. We have and and here's just a crossover. This is not from Love Island. We have where A D and Clay, I mean that man, he don't know me, but I gotta be A D and Clay, we have seen where the black man is. Love and blind. Uh yeah, we have seen where the black man has disrespected the black woman and left her on the altar and and um and didn't show love, and then we're seeing where white men pick up the slack where we have Lauren and Ken, and we're showing that we are love and desired by other race. So why is it that we ask black men to speak out loud and adore us and whatever and show it, whether it be physically showing up for us or verbally showing up for us, here's one doing it, and it's a performance. It's kind of we don't as black women, it's starting to put that in the case. He couldn't possibly think these things or feel this way. So it is a double-edged word for him. So I'm gonna stand behind my client and say, go ahead, Kate. By the next episode, he ended up with a light-skinned girl. Damn if he does. You know, mind you, some people said he was gonna go to Cada, and what did he do? Stay with Anaya. His attention has been there. And if so, by damn, he ends up with a uh light-skinned girl or a white girl. I'm glad that he said it that other people realize that, and that's the thing about Love Island. He's supposed to explore other races and backgrounds or whatever, and they so happen to be another race because that's who you connect with. Yeah, and I'm gonna say this now that doesn't take away from what he said because again, you don't just fall for somebody for how they look, and you don't have to stay with them just because they're black. And I just I think everybody should stop pretending, like, oh, it had to be a lie because he with a light-skinned girl. Like, no, because now he's dating a light-skinned girl. No, I still think that it's just one of those things that I still think where he can still say that and still feel it, and she's just boring and they don't work out, and then the next person that he has a good connection with is a Latina girl, and they just have a connection, it has nothing to do with her being Latina, it's just a better connection. But my thing is whether it's performative, thank you, Casey, for speaking up for black women to say you are the blueprint, and that other races that people see that there's a black man, he desires black women, he thinks you're the blueprint, and he she's what his definition of what a black woman is. Thanks, you can my my prediction is they're gonna make it to the finale. It's early, but I'm gonna say they're gonna make it to the finals. Hey, we're gonna put up our parlor because I'll take it. I'll be honest. It's a performance that I love, and I'm gonna fall for it every time I'm falling for the propaganda. Amen, amen. They can scan me, and Casey can scan me. Yes. So just a little quick overview of where we're at. Sean is out in the villa, and we're honestly, this next episode looks good because we're getting new bombshells. We're getting some white people in the mix. We're getting, yeah, we're getting some different variety with the USA. We can't be mad at it. So we have Jen, who is blonde. She's coming in. Caleb, who is doing nothing for me. No shade. Caleb, he's also blonde, he's coming in, and then we have a mixed race woman soul, or at least I think she's mixed race, but maybe black and white. We'll see. She'll have to tell us. She has little cute little freckles. Um, and she has a short Haliberry haircut. Now, people are already talking about like, oh, they're not gonna want her because men like long hair. Haliberry was lusted after. They love them a good pixie cut. Yes. I'm like, that doesn't make any sense. I've seen that. It was like in a Facebook group. A good pixie cut with a with a fat ass. And she got both. And that's exactly what she got. So so about to shake it up. We'll see who she goes for. My guess is sincere. So she's gonna go for sincere and like because I think they want to antagonize Melanie even more because she has brought the drama, but we'll see. She could literally go for anybody. She go for Casey too, because you know that might want they might want to shake it up between her and um him and Anaya. But we shall see. I think Jen is gonna go for her. Jen, who is 23. Oh, I think it's Caleb. I forgot to say that. Yeah, so Caleb. Um Jen can really go for anybody. She could even have a twist and go for KC if if honestly. Because I don't know if since Kenzie said that uh that Bryce is turtletongue, I don't know if anybody's gonna go for Bryce, but I think Bryce is gonna want to go for Jen. I think that. So we'll see though. Yeah, I'm excited. I'm excited for tonight's episode and and write my my note down. I'm excited to see Caleb. I think he's fired, you know. So I'm gonna let you have that one because I don't, he's not on my client list. I wish him well in the villa. Everybody deserves love. I hope him and Kenzie hit it all because that's who exactly he's going for, is Kenzie. See y'all next week. Yes, yes. Thank you so much. This is uh Tony's first episode with us. She did a great job.
