Justin:What's up doing today also is, it'll be after the fact by the time you hear this, but do you know what today is?
PureLighter:Sleep day.
Justin:Good sleep day, get hyped, or, I mean, get cozy. Find a nice sleep. I hope you had a good sleep.
PureLighter:Just like try to
Justin:Yes.
PureLighter:light some candles. You know? It's like, just like, I don't know how
Justin:Listen to
PureLighter:you know?
Justin:relaxing music, you know?
PureLighter:mean, oh, hey. I don't know. Fun fact the Nintendo Music Store or the, the, the app that
Justin:Yeah.
PureLighter:to different games just updated the Pokemon Soaring Shield music into the, into it.
Justin:Oh,
PureLighter:listen like to the Gym Leader Battles and everything in. gonna be my
Justin:I don't know that I want to do the gym battles for sleeping, but
PureLighter:You can do like the the 24 hour like G GLE Meadow that
Justin:oh,
PureLighter:for Pita.
Justin:tangle or, yeah.
PureLighter:Do you remember the 24 hour livestream that
Justin:Oh, I forgot about that. It's been a while. So what we do have, I don't do that, but I do use the Nintendo alarm mode. Do you remember the alarm mode that came out last?
PureLighter:you had that.
Justin:Yeah, I, it was an impulse purchase, but my wife was really interested in it,
PureLighter:wife,
Justin:and so I was like, all right, I'm gonna buy it. And so I just, I bought it and you know, I like it well enough. It's kind of, you gotta, it's, there's only like one controlling method and you gotta like bop it and like spin it and then you gotta pull it. No, no, you don't have to pull it. But a bop it joke for you nineties kids,
PureLighter:right? It's like the people
Justin:but
PureLighter:podcast, they're gonna be like, what the hell is this name?
Justin:what are they talking about? No. So. But no, it's kind of fun because like, you know, you li you wake up listening to Zelda music, like link flying through the air and Breath of the Wild. Sometimes there's a pablum mob, sometimes it's, you know, it's whatever, or there's like Mario coins. It's whatever you wanna set it to, but I certainly like it better than what was previously just a generic alarm that was very annoying.
PureLighter:Yeah, I mean, I, I, my alarm for some reason is just like, I don't know if I'm a light sleeper or a heavy sleeper because I, anything can really wake me up. But when I feel tired, I just go to sleep. It just doesn't matter. I can just
Justin:Oh, nice.
PureLighter:maybe like look at the ceiling for a couple of seconds and I'm already past that. So it, it's, it's a, it's a good thing I guess, that I can actually fall asleep quickly if I'm not doing, really doing anything else unless like. Hm. You know, I'm watching a, a tv although TV right now just makes me fall asleep. Anyways, I'm just watching YouTube videos anyways.
Justin:Mm-hmm.
PureLighter:All right. All right. All right. Let's get into some actual Pokemon Sleep news, shall
Justin:Ah, ah, yes. The news
PureLighter:Yes, definitely. Well, there's a few things to really cover. We're gonna go over, of course, another week of Grow Week. Just like we mentioned, we are in a good
Justin:Grow Week.
PureLighter:Yay.
Justin:I.
PureLighter:We're gonna talk about really how our spring event went, because, you know,
Justin:Yes.
PureLighter:and Blitzie are
Justin:Did you eat? Get all those egg salads, so much egg salad. It'll be just like you are at grandma's house.
PureLighter:Yes, definitely. A couple miscellaneous news and stuff that we wanna share. And of course we do have our drink test detective, something to keep in mind because we have a lot to talk about. All right. So how did your week when Spring event, honestly,
Justin:this was no doubt about it. The most successful event I have ever had by far. I. Not only did I, not only did it do what I wanted to do, which was cooking meals, it, it, it bonused me for cooking meals and I reached Master 20 for the first time ever. Yeah, man. Yeah. Applause is all around for myself.'cause I didn't know it was possible. I thought, I thought I really had to like intensely focus to really get to Master 20, but. Using the good camp ticket, cooking the same salad every time, not every time, most of the time. The the coffee salad, I pretty much, I got there by mid-afternoon on Saturday. I was at Master 20. Now this was Sion Beach, so, you know, it's a little easier than some of the later islands, but I hadn't even done it on green grass yet.
PureLighter:Mm-hmm. Yep.
Justin:so I'm just so suited for. Recipes and, you know, with good camp ticket, not having to do max or expand pot, that it just, it was just like a breeze.
PureLighter:So let me ask you, did you prepare the week before for
Justin:No,
PureLighter:So you didn't have like extra ingredients or
Justin:I came in raw. I had no prep.
PureLighter:Okay.
Justin:I didn't do like, I had just, okay. I did like the teenies bit of prep in the sense that I. Got the EV that I needed to evolve into Vaporium, and I finally evolved it into Vapor and then invested a couple seeds, and then I had it like Prock a couple times on Sunday. Not that much.
PureLighter:Okay. Yeah, that's good enough. And what was your team for most of the week to be able to make sure you got the ingredients for the salads?
Justin:let, let's see, let me pull up the ingredients again. So it was, it was a toggling of several things, but it was just depending on what ingredient I needed. So if I needed coffee, it was agron and the bug guy, vic Volt,
PureLighter:Mm-hmm.
Justin:if it was sausage, it was agron again'cause he did coffee and sausage
PureLighter:Yep.
Justin:and charr. If it was oil, which was my hardest one that I had problems with, it would be my toxic CRO who is helping bonus and cra rent. And then potatoes was victory bell.
PureLighter:which is the simplest one,
Justin:Yeah. And then I, for, I don't know, it felt like the energy of the Pokemon wasn't draining as fast as normal, even though my guard devore wasn't,
PureLighter:triggering.
Justin:triggering super often. And so I swapped, sometimes I would swap it out and just put to Dene in,
PureLighter:Mm,
Justin:and so De Dene was the real game changer this week, getting so many extra tasties. Let's see. I think I took some screenshots of it.
PureLighter:And
Justin:oh,
PureLighter:do watching the YouTube video, we'll probably put it on screen for you guys there.
Justin:okay. Let's see. Okay. Yeah. So here's one for 340,000.
PureLighter:that's quite a bit, and that Level salad dressing, right? Or no.
Justin:no, here's another one for 340,000. That's two. Let's see. Here's another one for 330,000. That's three.
PureLighter:Some of them, it
Justin:Here's another one for 323,000. That's four.
PureLighter:So in total, you got well above like six to seven even probably more extra tasties every single day least, or at least once per day, right?
Justin:No, I think I really just had the, over the weekend. Oh, and then I had the, the yogurt, dessert, salad, whatever. But that was already after I hit Master 20.
PureLighter:Yeah.
Justin:So I hit Master 20 after doing four extra tasties with the coffee salad and then, you know, with the other meals too. But.
PureLighter:it works. it, it helped out a lot. And for you to get to 20 it, it's an accomplishment in, in, in its own right. You know, especially on, even, even one island on 20 is actually great because you do get the extra bonus sub seal
Justin:I had forgotten it was a subscale seed and not a main skill seed,
PureLighter:Yeah.
Justin:Which I tend to use more subscale seeds, so it's fine with me.
PureLighter:Yeah I wasn't really much in the same boat, but I did get close. I was at Master 19 at the end of the week. But that's because I focus on a complete different aspect of it. And that was the Apple's asset yogurt dessert salad, which is the brand new salad that was introduced through this event. Not a lot of extra taste throughout the week. But because of the extra bonus to the event, was basically just like, almost the same power as the the coffee one,
Justin:Mm-hmm.
PureLighter:least when it came down to non extra tasties. I focused on that. I was able to make it 17 times last week, and that's
Justin:Bang. Nice.
PureLighter:I got it to level 55. It is currently my strongest salad in, in, in it, in and of itself. But yeah. I guess mostly because I, I like to focus more on things like that. Especially when a new recipe comes out. Like I tried my first day was like, okay, I need the whistles and the ingredient tickets and everything just to make the one salad that I didn't have ingredients for. Which is now my focus this week for that reason. But that one you can just do with like 69 ingredients and that's it, which is the max pot that I can actually get currently. but then after that it was just pure on apple acids yogurt salad for the entirety yoga event.
Justin:Mm-hmm.
PureLighter:it. I did get one final extra tasty. On Sunday and let me see if I can actually get the picture. So gimme a second. I'm actually going to do that real quick. And where is the picture? Nope, that's not it. Yeah, there we go. Well I can
Justin:Luis Hint, it makes the edit easier if you're just quiet.
PureLighter:Okay. Well there's the picture. I don't, I don't know why it doesn't that the, the, the, the
Justin:You know, dang, that is a big salad.
PureLighter:yes. And that was still in probably between levels 50 to 54 I think. So was happy with that too. I could
Justin:Yeah.
PureLighter:got into extra tasty if I had two more extra TA from that,
Justin:Mm-hmm.
PureLighter:unfortunately the didn't fail me even
Justin:Yeah.
PureLighter:the percentage of things. I'm still happy to actually got into 19 at this point. Now, did you get a good chance or happy knee or biz?
Justin:I did not, but that was not really my focus. I was really just trying to get to Master 20. I caught several, but none of'em are really that great.
PureLighter:Heck, I even got a blitz.
Justin:I also caught a bliss. You It was, I was like, all right, it's hungry. Let me just give it one pokey biscuit and then boom, crit catch.
PureLighter:Heck yeah. Unfortunately, none of the blitzes and happiness that I got are mono ingredients.
Justin:Yeah.
PureLighter:Have a good Chancey with a A A C, which is not bad with
Justin:I was also hunt hunting crow gunk for a mono, and I did not get it.
PureLighter:Yeah. Even though I was an advertised that we're gonna get more Pokemons that had more ingredients with eggs oil and all
Justin:Mm-hmm.
PureLighter:Yeah. Yeah,
Justin:I even caught an Evie. The Evie wasn't any good, but yeah. Nope, none of my head pennies are worth using. So.
PureLighter:I
Justin:Still got hunt for those.
PureLighter:This seal actually has helping bonus and helping speed with helping speed nature up. It just need a better finding.
Justin:Oh, I got, I actually got a pretty good CRA rant and it was 8 8 8 rp,
PureLighter:Oh,
Justin:which if you didn't know, eight is lucky in China.
PureLighter:There you go.
Justin:But it's double it's ingredient find S ingredient, fighter M and skill trigger M, but it's a, but it's an oil, oil potato like my other Cramer ranch. So
PureLighter:Yep.
Justin:it's hard to want to invest in another one.
PureLighter:I did get another shiny,
Justin:oh, another one.
PureLighter:Yeah,
Justin:Dang.
PureLighter:I was like, really? I
Justin:All right. I, anything else you wanna say about
PureLighter:Yes,
Justin:Week?
PureLighter:wanna actually shout out to one of my friends who also places came with me
Justin:Yes.
PureLighter:He got a shiny ante,
Justin:What? Just
PureLighter:a
Justin:of the wild.
PureLighter:ante with no
Justin:gosh. Didn't remember what week this was.
PureLighter:He was in great grass. So then after that he also showed me a shiny happy knee.
Justin:Wow. And, and shiny ha pini is like purple, right?
PureLighter:No, it's kind of like almost the same color. It's like just a little bit wider, I think.
Justin:Mm. Okay. But yeah, that's, that's great. I was kind of hoping for Legendary as something cool. Good. I, because I had almost a million points over Master 20 at the end, almost just from the, the rest of the cooking. I almost like stopped cooking at a certain point, but.
PureLighter:that, that's, that, that's the, that's the dream, right? You get to 20, then there's nothing else you have to do literal. Literally all you have to do is just catch Pokemons. So.
Justin:Yeah. And so I was hoping for a legendary something. It didn't happen. Now, I was also traveling over the weekend for on, and I got in late on Sunday, so my last couple sleep sessions weren't the greatest. They were in the 80 percentile ish range. And so, you know, that probably doesn't help. I feel like you gotta get closer to a hundred to get those. Rare response, but
PureLighter:Yeah, it's not bad. Because you already have the, the drowsy power equivalent to get
Justin:mm-hmm.
PureLighter:in the island.
Justin:But I was just getting so many three star spawns,
PureLighter:mm,
Justin:great'cause it helped me live my sleep decks.
PureLighter:there you go.
Justin:But anyways,
PureLighter:Yes.
Justin:let's move on to grow weak.
PureLighter:Oh, I guess we got, oh yeah, I gotta share that. I forgot about that.
Justin:I mean, I could share, but
PureLighter:Yeah, I got it. Grow week. This is the fifth one we get. Really? Has it already been that long?
Justin:well grow week is very forgettable. I. Because it's such a simple event, there's no thinking involved. You choose an island and then you're done and you just get some bonuses along the way, which I kind of appreciate now that we have some of like the more complicated events, like we just finished the spring week. That was complicated. I'm fine having a simple one. Don't gotta think. Just do.
PureLighter:It would've been nice if we actually had it this week because the addition with Good Sleep Day event and the growth insets would've been just like a good power up to most of the
Justin:Sure. But yeah, I, I, but I like having, you know,
PureLighter:In between
Justin:off between weeks.'cause back to back events, like on legendary event weeks where it's back to back like that, it's crazy. And so it just, like, it makes you kinda loath the game at a certain point.
PureLighter:It also Chance to prepare for any, the, any of the events. So
Justin:Yeah, like,
PureLighter:that too
Justin:because like this week I just went to to Paulo'cause I haven't been there in a while and I just wanted to see different spawns maybe get some more fire spawns just'cause I like the fire Pokemon. I, I didn't have any particular goal. I just wanted to do something different'cause I hadn't been there in a while.
PureLighter:I mean, you could probably get to master 20, you get an.
Justin:Yeah, well I'm not using the good camp ticket, so it'll, it would be a lot harder this week.
PureLighter:definitely, and, and the bonuses always up. But anyways, grow week once again it's, it is a week log event for starting on May 19th all the way to May 26th. And you just have to literally go to sleep and get the extra sleep experiences and the extra candies than usual. So
Justin:Yeah.
PureLighter:nothing else really. There's just grow, whatever Pokemon you feel like you need to grow. if you really got a good Pokemon that you haven't actually spent the time to put in the effort or the things, this is the event for it. That's all.
Justin:Yeah, so really the easy thing to do if you don't want to even think about it, choose lapis. Lakeside or old gold power plant. Because more than likely you haven't invested in those Pokemon and you need more candies of that. Or you have invested, but you can't get it to 60 yet'cause it hasn't been out as long. And so you're trying to get the candies. So
PureLighter:my, my pet project has
Justin:I.
PureLighter:the last like four months
Justin:Yeah, I am desperately trying to get my beware to level 50'cause it gets ingredient finder m let alone level 60, where it gets the, the triple corn. And so we're, we're slowly but surely getting there. It's F 48 but has exp down so it's kind of a real pain in the butt. So I think I'm gonna target lapis Lakeside because I also can always use candies for gar, or I need, I desperately need candies for Dragon Night to get that to level 60. So that's what I'm targeting, and I'm hoping for Curry.
PureLighter:Yeah.
Justin:will accept salad. I don't want dessert.
PureLighter:I really don't know. I really don't have too much of a mission for this grow week. I think I just want to also just chill out and do. Whatever I feel like I wanna do. lab is always, it's always a good addition just because there's good Pokemons in there. I don't remember his Chancey actually sponsored, but I am lucky at least looking for a, the mono ingredient Chancey at the end of the day. But
Justin:And.
PureLighter:I could just power up any Pokemons, like any other mono Pokemon that I have, I could, I could use the experience for. So.
Justin:And so my recommendation is if, so you choose the one with the island where you, you know, you're getting the spawns for the candies of the Pokemon that you want. And if you're also still trying to power that up, try and get it to a dish that best suits those Pokemon you're trying to power up. You have, you can get an easy travel ticket. They're only like a hundred sleep points. Now I don't remember if that's the premium track only or also in the generic.
PureLighter:I think it's only on the generic one. The,
Justin:the generic one. Okay.
PureLighter:So
Justin:So you should at least have one and you probably have a couple stacked up if you haven't been using them. So if you don't get the dish you want, use that pass. Go back to the same island, it'll re-roll the dish. And
PureLighter:Yeah.
Justin:And if you don't get the second time, oh well
PureLighter:Mm-hmm.
Justin:you just move on.
PureLighter:Yeah. Again, that's just one of the things. So we know that at least at the end of this month, we'll have another. Dark event kind of deal because when they're gonna introduce Merrow and Hunts Crow and Dark Cry once again. it's
Justin:the moon event, what was it? The
PureLighter:New Moon event?
Justin:New Moon.
PureLighter:Mm-hmm.
Justin:Because with today being good sleep day, that means it's the fall moon. Right? Nice. Yeah. So two weeks from now.
PureLighter:Two weeks from now. So we'll
Justin:Nice.
PureLighter:I'm, I don't know, because it, I mean, I I, if it's gonna be at the end of the month, it is gonna be two weeks from now, if it's gonna be like right at the end of the month is we're gonna be in Go Fest during that time.
Justin:Yeah. Well we can talk about it when we get to it,
PureLighter:Yeah. Okay. Cool. All
Justin:so.
PureLighter:is that. And then let's get some miscellaneous stuff out of the way. What's up?
Justin:miscellaneous, it says it's a bug. Is it a good bug? Is it like
PureLighter:I don't
Justin:across pin, sir, that type of bug.
PureLighter:No, basically if you open the game right now, it's gonna say the following issues are being experienced right now. Oh.
Justin:Oh, it's a bad bug. It's a, or would we call it a bed bug? Ha.
PureLighter:Ah,
Justin:Because it's, this is a sleep game. You get it?
PureLighter:yeah.
Justin:a joke. Laugh.
PureLighter:Just, just, just put an edit. Just put like, the laugh thing is like laugh,
Justin:Ha.
PureLighter:But no, the, the, the bug is basically says that chance it with 2000 hours of share sleep, which is the good night ribbon, the full on night ribbon for it, has a higher helping sta than blitzing. And they said that this will remain in the game as it is and it will not be fixed.
Justin:First off, why and how do they know that you couldn't have possibly gotten 2000 hours? It's been the game a week,
PureLighter:people
Justin:you. Unless you cheat the game, but then you know that they cheated. So I don't, I don't know why they advertised this to us. I just, this is a, no. This is a nonsense article and I am frankly upset that they told us about this. I.
PureLighter:Well, now everybody's gonna, we're never gonna evolve abl season. Like, nah, nah, I don't know. I if, if you get the chance to get to the good ribbon good ribbon highest ribbon, whatever yeah. I don't know if I'm ever going to get to that point. I think
Justin:All right.
PureLighter:evolve. I need the inventory anyways, so,
Justin:All right.
PureLighter:all right. All
Justin:Next.
PureLighter:Next you can slip the, you can slip it out of that one, so,
Justin:Okay,
PureLighter:So
Justin:so this one. It's from Sora News 24, bringing you yesterday's news from Japan today. So a nutrition company in Japan made real life Pokemon sleep recipes. Isn't that awesome?
PureLighter:Ooh. Now I wanna try them. Yeah.
Justin:Yeah, so recipes let you eat like slac so you can sleep like Sno la. I hope you don't literally eat like Sno LA'cause that would be a lot of food. I see how much ingredients they put in.
PureLighter:I'm already a snor, like, what are you talking about?
Justin:So yeah, the makers of the Japanese nutrition planning app, ASIN and the University of Koba that research determined our group insufficient intakes of protein, carbs, and fiber call negatively impact your quality of sleep. And so they develop real, real recipes to mimic the ones in there. So they gave four examples. There is the Dream Meter butter curry, which has. I'm just gonna use the imperial measurements that they give me. If you want the metric, you can read it from the article. They have six ounces of rice, half teaspoon of turmeric powder 10 grams of butter, a k, a half an ounce that it makes the brew. And then
PureLighter:Then you
Justin:you have skinless chicken thighs, yogurt, ginger, garlic, curry, onions, carrots, potatoes, salted butter. Milk, dark chocolate, nice boiled, sliced, canned tomatoes. Chicken soup, stock, salt, pepper, sorry, excuse me. Milk, bay leaf, and cherry tomato. Man, that's quite the involved recipe,
PureLighter:Yeah,
Justin:but looking at the picture, it looks so good.
PureLighter:A actually, so you know what? I actually want somebody from a YouTuber, I think they said it's like, chef React or something like that. And then I want people to actually make this dish and share it with people, and people react to it. I, I, I just want it to happen.
Justin:Yeah. Then it tells you like how to do it, and then they also do ones for the limber corn stew, the mimosa salad, and the brand new yogurt salad. You can also find it on their website, which. It is right here
PureLighter:Woo.
Justin:and it's very cute. Or as they would say, Kauai. And
PureLighter:Hawaii.
Justin:looks, it looks like official almost. And you know, they have like a very nice advertise, I mean like video to go along with it about using their app. It's all in Japanese, so we can't really understand or read it, but you know, it's pretty cool.
PureLighter:yet. Alright. like it. I like, I mean, I like the science, I like everything. Again, if we ever, if we ever get the chance to eat them, that's great. But again, it's, it's Pokemon sleep, so, you know, imit life imitates game.
Justin:Yes.
PureLighter:All right, Justin. I think it's cool. It's time for a quick break. Break
Justin:Break your break.
PureLighter:time for a nap.
Justin:All right, welcome back. He,
PureLighter:I come on, that was just only like 15 minutes. I need another more of a nap.
Justin:But you know what they say, 15 minutes is like the right amount of nap time during the day.
PureLighter:15 minutes turns into two hours pretty quickly, just,
Justin:Oh my gosh.
PureLighter:and I still go to sleep, but anyways. All right. Well, let's let's take a moment to recognize some of our patrons. Huge thanks to our gym leaders, Ben t. Justin:All right. So do you even remember what the thing was last time?
PureLighter:How about you just let me know because I think I forgot now.
Justin:This Pokemon likes to keep things tidy and gets its. Sorry, let me start again for Dream Next. Detective. This Pokemon likes to keep things tidy and the gel, it secretes repels grime. Sometimes when it sleeps for a long time, the koi on its head grows dry and messy, though this is extremely rare. Whos that Pokemon?
PureLighter:Because I know there's one Pokemon that I watched in the anime. I think I know what it is.
Justin:And that Pokemon would be
PureLighter:Axley.
Justin:correct?
PureLighter:Woo. I just remember the messy hair at the end. You know,

This Pokemons doesn't seem to notice.
Justin:Hmm. Interesting.

Justin:So when I see that, I'm thinking like, obviously it has to be an ice pokemon, and my first instinct for some reason was a old volpi, but I'm like, no. I was like, wait, berries like a Obama. Snow and snow. They're like a tree that might grow berries. So maybe, I don't know. I'll see you next time.
PureLighter:Yes. Please make sure that if you have a guest, well this episode releases, you guys can just share it to us. And we'll be fine. Alright, I think that's all we got for everybody tonight.
