This week we have a fun one for ya. Although he only lived till the age of 33, James Banning had quite the influence on the black community and aviation.

One of the few black pilots of his day, Banning faced many hardships on his path to flight, from poverty to racism. But he let none of it hold him back.

And in 1932 he and friend Thomas Allen would make history, sadly just months before James would died.
