Rethinking Our History
In this new weekly show from the host of The Paranormal Lovers we take a look at some of histories less well known events. Why are they less well known? Because " History is written by the victors."
So we are here to look at the other side of the story, and to give people a starting point to learn about the true history of this country.
Rethinking Our History
Episode 14: The Great Emu War
I do hope this episode finds you well after the holiday weekend and ready for a few laughs.
Back in 1932 after the end of WW1 veteran's set out in Western Australia to farm wheat for the world, but they had a native problem, just not the one we grew up hearing about. This was an EMU problem.
Thousands of Emus set out each year in the spring( our fall) to head to the coast, the problem's started when farmers began trying to grow crops in their migration path.
Instead of trying to find a way to live with these animals, they set out to have them irradicated.
