Episode 28: The Match Girls Strike
Let's go to Britain this week, during the 1800's of it all. 1888 to be specific.
After a newpaper article came out bringing light to the terrible conditions of the match making factories management attempted to make people sign a form refuting the article.
When they refused, one or more of the employees were fired. This set of a storm of strikes that could have crippled the match making industry.
