Rethinking Our History
In this new weekly show from the host of The Paranormal Lovers we take a look at some of histories less well known events. Why are they less well known? Because " History is written by the victors."
So we are here to look at the other side of the story, and to give people a starting point to learn about the true history of this country.
Rethinking Our History
Episode 30: Lawman Bass Reeves
We got quite a short one this week, but it's a been more fun then what we have covered recently.
Having been born into slavery, Bass Reeves was finally able to escape his captors and made his way to live with the natives. They taught him their language, their culture and their skills on the land.
When freedom finally came for all black people, Bass was tapped to be a US Marshal due to his skills and knowledge. And even though he never learned to read or write, he never got the wrong man.
