Rethinking Our History
In this new weekly show from the host of The Paranormal Lovers we take a look at some of histories less well known events. Why are they less well known? Because " History is written by the victors."
So we are here to look at the other side of the story, and to give people a starting point to learn about the true history of this country.

We are headed up Appalachia this week to take a look at an event of great historical significance. During this time of extreme division in the US, and across the global, we are taking a look at a time when people came together to fight the powers in charge.
The coal industry was the backbone of Appalachia for a long time. Generations went deep underground to mine out the mineral that was running the world at the time.
These families worked and lived in towns built and owned by the company they worked for, and if they should ever consider joining a union, they could lose their jobs, as well as their homes.
Tired of being used and abused thousands of miners rallied together to march to free their imprisoned friends. But along the way they came across Blair Mountain, where an anti union sheriff had set up shop to stop their march.
What came next was the largest armed fight on US soil since the civil war. One in which citizens on both sides fought for what they thought was right, or for whoever was paying them.
