We are going way back in time this week, even further than the Ottoman Empire, to look at a series of events that we all know about, but probably know very little about.
Christianity and Islam have been large players in the religious world for thousands of years. The Pope has been the leader of one of those religions for almost as long, and through him wars have been raged in their gods name.
Things really kick off in the 11th century as these two huge forces fought for what they felt their religion entitled them too.
