look who it is!! we are back for a new episode today to recap the past few weeks. we’ve started a book club, been loving new spots around Scottsdale, and celebrated Keeley’s birthday!!!! it has been one whole year of starting the podcast so we hope you enjoy! it’s officially summer in Arizona so we are ready to stay in doors and get recording new episodes for you all! WE LOVE U! 🩵🎂☀️

Hey guys, welcome back to Talking twenties. Welcome back. It's actually welcome back part two because we've already recorded this episode, but my mic wasn't on Keely's. Mic was turned off because of technical difficulties that we were actually just figuring out for the last 30 minutes here too. We got it all figured out. I think though, I mean. Makeshift, somewhat makeshift, but basically that's why we did a March recap episode. But honestly, we'll just touch on all of that. And then it's end of April right now. So we'll, we'll do an April recap as well, I suppose. Oh, a quick little two month recap, if you will. Yeah, it's been two months since our last episode that's come to be par for the course. Mm-hmm. It's basically summer now. You haven't missed much. No, you haven't missed much. So I guess this episode will be kind of just like a recap of the last two months and then kind of what we're. Feeling like going into summer? Yeah, basically. Honestly, March. It felt like a really long month. We had March Madness, which was so fun. Yeah, it was really fun. We had, we all made a bracket. Who won overall? Haley. Haley course. Haley Wood, she, she knows her college basketball. She knows her college basketball. I won in my work one. I got second place actually. Yeah. You slayed your work. One. I slayed my work. One got 20 bucks and when I went to go collect my prize, the person that was running it was like. You got a boyfriend that helped you tea? I was like, no. I did it myself. Like I did it myself. Girl Power. And then we had St. Patrick's Day, which was so fun. We had a really good St. Patrick's Day. We went and day drank out in Old Town and it was just like a really fun vibe. And there were so many people out, like it was just. A really good day drinking holiday. Definitely my favorite day drinking holiday besides the 4th of July, which we'll touch on, but we'll touch on. There was a lot of fanatics I would say that occurred on St. Patrick's Day. Yeah. And it's so crazy now because as we get into the April recap, it's so funny because St. Patrick's Day was when we discovered the new Bar Kill Club, and that's like now our favorite place to go. That's our True Kill Club was. I kind of introdu, well, I'd been there like once, but Keely had never been there. I didn't even go that weekend. Didn't go that weekend. But we were there a lot. And then that's our new favorite bar in Old Town, so we've been there. All way too much all month long, but we can't help it. It's so fun. And so, yeah, March wasn't, oh, and also, it's so funny too because in the, in the Lost episode that we recorded Gone With the Wind Totally. In some metaverse somewhere being kept safe. Totally. We talked about how we just started the new Hunger Games book and now we finished it. Yeah. We had, so we had our first ever book club. So I guess like going into summer, we're trying to have at least like. I'm trying to go into summer with good mentality of like. Knowing I'm not gonna be outside that much and like just knowing I'm gonna have to find fun new things to do inside. Because I feel like last summer I went into it being like, oh, I still wanna go to the pool and go outside and do these things. And it was just like too hot. And then I felt cooped up. So now I'm going into the summer with. New hobbies and new things to do. One of which is we started a book club and Hunger Games is our first book. It was Hamish's 50th game. So if you're not familiar, it's so funny'cause it's so prominent. Like Hunger Games in general is so prominent in our day-to-day. Like even before this book came out, it's like we actually we're always talking about the Hunger Games, it's such a niche subject that we always talk about. We obsess over and like when I tell people they're like. Like if it randomly comes up like what I'm reading, I'm like, oh, the new hungry is like, oh, there's a new one. We've been so locked in since the day it was announced. We've been so locked in and it's such a niche thing for us that I forget that not everyone's like as obsessed as we are. I know, but we had a really fun book club meeting this past week our friend Ellie hosted and she went to the nines with all the food. And like we had so many potatoes, so many potatoes, which is very relevant to the book. And so we're going to once a month do our little book club, and it was a really good book to start with because the best feeling and like, I forget, like I used to not be a book person. And now that I am, there's no better feeling when you like, literally can't put your book down. And now that I've finished my book, I just can't wait to get started on my new one. And I ordered our new one today. Good. Yeah, we have. Basically, this is just gonna be like our new thing. I'm gonna try to read more this summer, and that's kind of. Something new, I guess. Yeah. We encourage you guys to get a new little summer hobby. I mean, it's obviously not as hot as it is here. Other places. Other places, yeah. Like now that you've like settled into the new year, like start one of those hobbies that you decided that you wanted to get into for the new Year's. Been getting into baking a tiny bit and she's gonna get into it more. Mm-hmm. Now that I've got a little bit of a, I got more space to work with. Yeah. Keely signs a new. Lease in July. Yeah, living with Riley and I end my current lease in May, so I'll be moving back to my dad's for a little bit, which. A year ago when we started the pod was where I was already kind of living. So it'll be kind of fun to like, oh, I'm either gonna move with my dad or my sister. Stay tuned. Who knows where I'll be next time we record episode, literally. But yeah, I'm excited. I think it'll be nice to kind of like regroup for like two months and then like get my life together. Save a little money, a lot of big things happening over summer. It's like I know I'm just gonna be working and then like here every weekend, exactly how it was last year. Yeah, it's coming up on one year of us being. On the pod, which is kind of crazy. I think we recorded an episode a year ago because it was after the birthday, right before I left for London. Yeah, we were just starting the pod at this time last year, so this might be a happy one year. One year to the pod, which is kind of crazy. And also like wait one year with like eight episodes under our belt is crazy we were most active over summer because we were cooped up actually, I was gonna say that I'm sure this summer we'll have more like this will be one of our new inside. Hobbies to do. Totally. And we can, maybe we'll get, well maybe, we'll, if we can figure out these technical difficulties, maybe we can throw guests in there. People, oh my God, I wanna have a guest so bad. And people don't realize, like the tech is actually really complicated. I couldn't even help Maria. I sat here eating in cheese stick while she figured it all out. Like props too, Maria, I say all the time. Aw, thanks. I mean, it took a while to learn, but once you figure it out. But like there's just always issues that can kind of come up. But anyways, we'd love to have a guest, and we always say this, but if you have. Topics you want us to go into besides just like general recaps, let us know because we could yap about anything. So like having a topic is kind of good to keep us on course and we'll brainstorm some good topics for the summer. Mm-hmm. It's so funny too because the episode that's Lost with the Wind, I'm not kidding, we yapped about the Hungry Games for 30 minutes. Yeah. Like honestly, maybe it's good it went in the way. It's good because we had book club to get out all of our feelings since then. Mm-hmm. So we have book club now that's kind of like our weekly thing to take place at Bachelor and Dancing with the Stars. And it's just like a good little, like we love to touch in during the week with our friends. Yeah. But book club was this past week and then before that was my birthday. And I definitely wanna recap Kiley's birthday, my birthday. So I had taken off. Thursday and Friday before my birthday because I just kind of wanted to have like a long weekend. And work was so crazy because I was taking over for a coworker. I don't really have a lot of days off to spare, but I was like, why not just kind of give myself those two days? Yeah. To like honestly chill. And if people won't remember last year, Keely had, it's not that you had a bad birthday, but you just felt a little bit like out body. And so I feel like you needed more time to just enjoy this birthday without it being so rushed and frazzled, if that makes sense. Yeah. And it's not to say that I'm like, okay, I'm gonna say this and then when I explain the birthday, it's gonna be like, there's literally no way you mean that I'm really not a big birthday person, but I feel like when your birthday's on a weekend, it's like, last year was a Friday, this year was a Saturday. Yeah. I feel like when it's a weekend, it's like, it makes more sense to just have like a. Birthday weekend. Totally. And so last year I think I got really overwhelmed with like, I have this plan and this plan and this plan and this plan, and after this, this, and that. So this year I, I knew it was gonna be like a weekend event Uhhuh, and it was, but it does get, I was just like, wait, I'm just gonna go with the flow and like, poor chill. It doesn't need to be 10:00 AM this, 2:00 PM this we kind of thought we were gonna drink at the pool and then we ended up not, and it was just chilling, so it was kind of like day of making. Plans. Just seeing how we feel versus making it so structured was better. And also too, I was like, anyone come to the pool? But the fact it was just us was really nice because, people came and gone so I took Thursday and Friday off, like I said. Thursday. I honestly hung out all day. Chilled by the pool. Actually I'm getting way too ahead of myself. Wednesday night we unlocked a new burger place. We went to, oh my God. We went to Bad Jimmy's. We went to bad Jimmy's Maria. It was so good. I would like You did the honors about recapping bad. Jimmy's bad. Jimmy's was so good. Like they make their smash burgers so smashed that it's like crispy, if that makes sense because it's so smashed. And also Keely kind of. Threw a new one at me, BEC or not, through a new, I didn't wanna say that. I wanna say Keely. Told me that the fries were like, fine, but the fries I was obsessed with. Mm-hmm. I was obsessed with the fries, and I'm not a fry girl. Really? No. You know, I'm not a fry girl. Hunger games, no context. French fries. I'm like, like french fries are good. Like, I'll, I'll nibble on them, but like, fries don't make or break for me, but like mm-hmm. They were such good fries. But also, here's to say, and again, episode that was gone with the wind, we definitely recapped El Camino so hard. Yeah. Because I don't even think we talked about it yet. Yeah. In the, in our podcast universe, Uhhuh. So we've been on like a really big burger kick to preface. Obsessed with burgers, obsessed with burgers. We're in like the biggest burger era ever. We're turning into burgers over here. We've eaten Sony burgers. We're turning into burgers, and so El Camino is just like this little spot that we found, little spot that we found is crazy. A little hole on the wall wall, but it kind of wall is, it's kind of like divy and like westerny. It's chill and like chill vibes, which we love. Yeah, it's right across from SDK and right next to the ends, which is prime real estate. If you ask me prime, prime real estate, which we'll dive into the ends later, but El Camino, a good friend of mine had. But basically a good friend of mine showed me this burger place and we went to it and it's so good and we'll post a picture of it on the story. It's big smash burgers and very thin french fries. And it's so good and so cheap. Yeah. Something like, something to like note about this place is El Camino is so fast, so good, so cheap. Yeah, and it's a very Western vibe, so it's perfect for Old Town. It's kind of like in and out, honestly. Like it's probably the, realistically you probably spend the same amount there then as Inn Out dude. And honestly, on a good day you're paying less. Yeah. It's crazy hits. It's crazy. It hits. So we definitely recommend there. So because of that, we knew we wanted to kind of like hit a few more burger spots. Mm-hmm. So Wednesday night before, like Thursday and Friday and everything, we were like, Riley was going outta town. And so we knew we wanted to do like a little birthday celebration with her. Mm-hmm. So I was like. Like, let's go to bad Jimmy's. Yeah. So we get to bad Jimmy's and it's very limited seating. More of a retro vibe, I would say. Yeah, definitely retro, way more expensive. Their burgers are so different. Their fries are so different, but overall it's hard to pick which is better. Yeah. I have a really hard time just in general comparing like they taste different, like. They taste different to me, so it's hard to say If we're making like a circle graph, I would say in the middle they're both equally delicious. There's a very specific vibe to them. But like you can't be El Camino's prices and you can't beat the location. We can walk there. Yeah, totally. I also, you know what I was also thinking about, I have to get lettuce wrap burgers because. I can't really eat a lot of the buns because a lot of'em say may contain sesame. So I honestly think that's another reason that burger like burgers honestly taste the same. I'm actually gonna change my opinion when I said they taste really different. I actually think burgers taste kind of similar to me because I don't have the bun factor. Like lettuce is just lettuce, if that makes sense. Yeah, that's true. I think there's a big, like I don't have a different bun. Yeah, it's just lettuce. So like how. Different can it taste? And it's so upsetting.'cause I genuinely prefer a sesame seed bun when I eat a burger. But anyway, so I guess I'm, I'm changing what I'm contradicting myself, but basically I'm saying that. Burgers in general sometimes taste similar to me because they are, I feel like they don't have the element of like the bun being different. That's true. But I would say when it comes to a burger, it's like it's hard to fuck a burger up, but it's so easy to make a really good burger. I agree. It's kind of like pasta and pizza, like it's so easy to make good and it's so easy. Like the simple, easy, it's like you can do it, but like when it's bad, it's bad. Yeah. I think I'm gonna go maybe. Bad Jimmy's overall for food, but then when you factor in price, probably El Camino. Yeah, totally. Like we were saying, bad Jimmy's special occasion. Place El Camino. Like Sunday night. Let's grab. Yeah. Oh, that's not, we should go. We should go this. We should. We should go this weekend. We should go this weekend. But anyway, you can tell we're hungry and we haven't had dinner yet, but basically, oh, we're starving. Basically that kicked off the Wednesday. That kicked off Wednesday. So after work we hit bad. Jimmy's Thursday. I just hung up by the pool. Oh yeah. Danielle and I went to Lightheart Cafe. It's my favorite little matcha spot. We hung up by the pool. Danielle worked and I just tanned. We played some music. Dylan joined us. We got sourdough bagels at Lightheart, ate that. Then we went to Lagree, which was really fun. It's like the hardest Pilates class in the whole world. Shout out Dill. Her class is insane. Immediate sore. That night, me and Bella went out in Tempe for our friend. She was hosting some DJs at Sun Bar. So we went to support her'cause she was like the one that hosted it, which is really cool. But before that, I went to my dad's for dinner. He's the sweetest thing on earth. He was like, oh, I'll make you a little birthday dinner. He made shrimp with scallop sauce, salmon, and then king crab legs. So perfect. And then he made a homemade berry cobbler, which was so nice to me. He's such a good chef. Such a good chef. And then Friday I, what did I even see? It's like, I can't even remember, but it was like all so perfect and just like chill. I think I just like laid by the pool again. Hung out. Oh, I went to Lifetime with Danielle. Yeah. We did a little walk, we did amenities. We, we went on a morning walk. We went on a morning walk, and then they went to Lifetime. Then we went to Lifetime, and then we hung out by the pool. And then that night we went to the ends and I'd heard high, high reviews from the ends, but I hadn't been, which it's basically like a hidden kind of gem in Old Town. Like they don't really advertise. There's not a sign with their name. Like they're definitely hidden and you kinda have to know about it, which I. Knew through Danielle and then Keely had went and they both gassed it up. So I was like, okay, I have high expectations, but my expectations were exceeded. Perfect. Happy hour, perfect vibe. Again. Neighbors with El Camino, with Prime real estate they had such good drinks, great service, and the food was so good. The biscuits were so good. And seed oil free. Oh my God. The biscuits, I got the biscuits that cut you a pepe. And then the drinks. And like I was kind of saying like. Here's what I'll just show for an example. Like, so basically I didn't, well, I was just saying how I have the allergies and when I called bad Jimmy's the burger place, I heard the guy not even ask on the phone. The chef like, he's like, oh yeah, I'll ask the chef if it has it. He did not ask, and then he was like, it's all good. And then. I literally was like, no, it's not. Which is why I had to get the lettuce one anyways,'cause he didn't even bother. But then like when we were at the end, the waitress was so nice and was like, checking everything, make sure it was all good. And like, super like you, if you know, you know, if you'll have food allergies, like sometimes you. You, you don't feel like you can trust the people because they just don't seem like they care. And then sometimes people like, go above and beyond to make sure you feel like safe. And they were like so nice there and she was so nice. I was like, I appreciate you. She's so nice. Yeah, so we had a great dinner. We had a great dinner. So then Maria, you know, was just asking for a little mint from Danielle. Yeah, I wanted them in. We didn't really have like a plan afterwards. We were trying to figure out what we wanted to do. We took some photos outside. It was kind of rainy. It was kind of like a, what's next? And like I never, I don't know why I always do this. I was like, I'm not gonna go out on my birthday weekend. I just wanna chill. Yeah. Big lie, like final last words. Always big lie. A big lie. And Maria or Danielle went to go grab a mint from Maria and she found six free shots at Montauk. Yeah, like cards. Just in her purse. Cards from like when she went the other night because she went the other night and her waitress forgot to put, forgot to bring her her food and like put the order in. So I guess they had given Danielle and Vinny six free shot cards and Vinny had just put them in Daniel's purse. Like Daniel didn't even know they were in there at all. She didn't even know she had them. And guess how many people were at dinner? Six. Six. So it was perfect. So we're like, okay, the universe wants us to go to Montauk and get a shot. And mind you, Danielle doesn't take shots. So it was so perfect that it was, it was so random. She had random, so we like scurried off to Montauk in the freezing cold. You, oh yeah. I was gonna say, yeah, you, oh, my throat's like so dry. Well keep in mind the ends like, we couldn't really see outside basically at the ends we're. Just like vibing at the table. We're not even looking outside. We go outside. The wind is absolutely blowing. It's probably 50 degrees. It's drizzling. It was the cold. Like Arizona, people don't expect to go step foot out and feel a type of weather besides hot. So like we were shook and we sprinted over to Montauk to get shots in our, in our teeny tiny heels. So we walk in, I think they ordered, it was like lemon cello shots. Yeah. Passion fruit. Mm, passion fruit. Fruit was theme of the night. Major theme of the weekend of the weekend. So took those shots quickly and then where else could we go but kill club, our new favorite bar. So we went there and we played a run of darts, which is the fact that we can just like walk in, like we just bought a round of darts and it was so fun. And you played the way you played art. It's kind of like bowling. So picture like you have the TV screen up there and then you each get to take your little picture before and then it will say your turn and it'll show your score. So it's just like bowling basically, but darts, yeah. And my dress was a very light pink, but in the darkness it looked white. So everyone thought I was getting married that night. They thought I was there for my bachelorette party. Well, no, this is not the only reason why Keely just looked absolutely divine. And so basically what she's gonna say next, oh you, is that, oh, let's just say guys we're lining up to buy us drinks and not just, not just like drink drinks, like. Cocktails, like nice cocktails for all of us. It was just like, okay, how many drinks do you guys need? What do you guys want? It was nonstop. It was a line of people. It's never like that, but I think you were just blowing people away and they were like, oh, stop trying to impress. So they were buying us cocktails and it was delicious. Delicious. And they would just like walk away. Yeah. It was so awesome. It was so awesome. We were treated like royalty. Royalty at Kill Club. So that was so fun. And then we went upstairs and we were nibbling on popcorn the thing we like about Kill Club also, like it's not like we're always for like, like we have fun with each other. It's not like we need like the boys being out, so to say. But Kill Club has a good ratio of guys, like there's always a lot of guys there. Mm-hmm. And a lot of our friends are there too. A lot of friends. Like just a lot of people we know. But basically we're having such a good time. Like Keely, I'm not like with Keely Red at this moment. Mm-hmm. I think you're with like Dylan or something. And basically all of a sudden. I'm like sitting there totally vibing and all of a sudden I got like the biggest heat wave, you know, if when you feel like you're gonna throw up and you get like such a hot flash, that's what happened. And I was like, oh my God, I'm gonna throw up. And then I realized like, wait, no, I'm not gonna throw up. My vision started going and I was like, oh my God, no, I'm not gonna throw up. I'm gonna pass out. Ugh. And I had actually been saying all week, like I felt kind of dehydrated, I think just like it was getting hotter. I don't know. And. I guess I had even said that to Daniel earlier in the day, I thought I was getting dehydrated, that I felt dehydrated. And I've passed out before, so I know the feeling like it was the exact same feeling. So I go to the bar to try to get water and one of the guys that bought us cocktails earlier was like, so nice. I was like, do you need me to buy you a bottle of water? And I was like, yes, please. Or he's like, I'll just buy you a bottle of water. And I was like, just please. And I was like, king. But then I couldn't, I could feel like, I don't know if you feel that your vision, if people have ever had like their vision going, but like. I knew I couldn't stand for like five more seconds to even wait for my water. So I just sprinted over to the corner and like sat in the corner of the bar right by the bathroom and then security. And then Keely came running over with the water and Leah came over and security like was like, you can't sit up here, you have to go downstairs.'cause I was like. Do you agree? And then I had to like go down the stairs with the security, like holding my hand so I didn't faint. And then people thought I was getting kicked outta the bar. Like Leah heard people say like, oh, that girl's getting kicked out. And I was like, no, I'm not. And then I like chugged. I like sat on the side of the road outside of the bar and chugged a water. And like, I think like the cold air is also. Kill club upstairs. There's like no fresh air, no like there's no windows or anything. So I think like being out in the cold and like chugging the water, I was definitely just dehydrated, maybe like a little hot. Anyways, then we called our Uber and went home. So I kind of had to leave Keely's birthday cell, but it was not my choice because it was, that was just Friday night and like it was just Friday night. And so for my POV, needless to say, and no pun intended, that Friday night friends just were dropping like flies. Like one person would leave. One person would leave. Yeah, two people would leave. Totally. And the last men standing were me and Dill. Yeah. And so we ended up like en like found ourself out going to Wasted Grain for some reason. The thing about Kill Club is like, it's a great place to start because like there is like really good drinks there and then, but by like 11:00 PM like. Everyone's kind of gone. Yeah. So it was kind of time for us to go. It was almost midnight and like, I was like, do I wanna stay out for midnight? Do I just wanna go home? Like everyone's kind of leaving. We have a whole day tomorrow. We ended up at Wasted Grain, stayed there till midnight. Someone, some of our friends met us there and we like took some shots then. I can't really say many details, but let's just say I found myself back at my apartment with Dylan and some cryptic characters having a therapy session till 3:00 AM I'm crying. I'm in like the weirdest talk of my whole life, unpacking things from another weird time in my life. And I'm like, time and place. Like the night before your birthday, like go to bed, girl. And I was like, at one point I was like, can we stop this? I'm literally so tired. I just need to go to bed. So anyways, then me and Dylan kicked them out and we're like GTFO. Me and Dylan go to bed. Mind you, it's 4:00 AM now. Dylan has work tomorrow. And I knew I wanted to go do a workout in the morning, whatever. So we wake up, Dylan's so hung over, she keeps saying, five more minutes. Five more minutes. She has like, she has work in like 30 minutes and I'm like, Dylan, like you have got to get up. Like, yeah, I gotta get up. But it was one of those sleeps where I was like, she was hungover. I just didn't sleep. Mm-hmm. So I was like feeling so weird and like whatever. And so I end up getting Dylan up. Like I get her in her car, she goes to work, I go to boxing and there's this guy in my boxing class that like literally pisses me off so hard. Mm-hmm. And he comes back up later. He just like, and honestly he's just kind doing his thing. Like honestly, like if it's your workout class and like you wanna do what you wanna do, like do what you gotta do, but like when you're like about to like hit me in the face, I'm like, you just have to chill. Yeah. So I saw him there and I was like, bro, he's so annoying. Whatever. And end up leaving and I went straight to the modern after. Mm-hmm. And I don't really know what you were doing in the morning, but it was so funny'cause waking up like nothing. This was like 9:00 AM when we, and I just had a cryptic night. True. Okay. I guess remember waking up and cryptic, I guess Maria was just waking up. I just woke up and like probably like arranged your basket a little and called it the day. So that's what Maria was up to. So then I met them at modern. And I murder murder's. My apartment, I don't know if people know that. I mean, some people probably know that, but whatever. Yeah. It's just our friends who listen. Wait, no one listens. No one's listened at this. By this point. They've turned it off. They've turned it off. Or anyone that's listening is like, yeah, I was there. They're bored. They're bored. Is this boring? No, no, I'm totally kidding. Okay. Okay. But so I opened up my gifts and I won't gonna, like, I'm not gonna go like gif by gif, but yeah. Last year Maria made me the absolute sweetest memory box. It was Taylor Swift themed and it was purple and it was like. So perfect.'cause I am someone that keeps like the littlest, tiniest things and like I, everyone has em. Everyone should have a memory box if they don't. Yeah. Everyone should have a memory box. And I kept saying like, I don't know Maria has how she's gonna top it. I don't know how she's gonna top it. Never in my life could I imagine you topping it this hard that like, I couldn't even believe my eye. Like actually imagine like picture being so speechless that like you just can't do anything but cry. And so Maria, I'll have you take it from here. Basically. In like probably February. Yeah, well, definitely in February I saw this TikTok of this girl that made her friend a birthday magazine and I was like, oh, I'm doing that for Keely and. I got this girl's template and then like, thank God I probably couldn't have done it all by myself, but I like kind of switched up and like added certain things that were like more specific to Keely. But I basically made her a birthday magazine that like recaps her whole past year and also just like has like all of her favorite things, like what's in her bag. And yeah, that was basically it. Her present. And so I came upstairs and we were like opening gifts. And mind you, I'm so shaky. I haven't slept. I am so exhausted and tired and like I wasn't Ubering. I was just like so fragile and unwell that like, I just, yeah, you hadn't slept. I just hadn't slept and eaten or eaten. And I'm sitting down and I'm, I'm like opening up Maria's gift, like one by one, just like a few little goodies here and there. And she was like, save this one for last. So I open it and it's like a Canva bag and I had like no idea what it could have been, and I open it up and I see Keely magazine and like, it took me like a few pages to really understand like what was going on. Yeah, for sure. Because I was like, wait, what Maria? Wait, what? Every page made me cry harder. I like, I'll Maria, I have the digital version, so like we'll post it on. The Instagram. Yeah. But like I truly was so speechless'cause like never in my life could I have ever imagined like anything like that. And it was. So nice of you. And the best gift I've ever gotten. Oh, that's so nice. I was literally like sobbing. Like when I say I was sobbing, well, I started crying and I did not.'cause Danielle was like, Maria, you know Keely's gonna cry when she opens this. And I was like, really? And then I started crying. I was hysterically sobbing. It was really cute. And picture like Vinny in the background, like making pancakes. His breakfast being, what are you guys doing? What are you guys doing? Because I'm literally like, guys is so nice. Hysterical. It was really cute. I like. I loved it. I, I always like a cr a little bit of like a homemade creative touch of a gift. Mm-hmm. But I've always been like that. Even like with my parents, they're always like, like my dad's always like, make me something. Yeah. So I love to have that like,'cause I'm not the best like shopper, like I feel like gift giving is a love, is like not my love language. When it comes to like, things like where, where would you pocket this? Like, is it acts of service or is it gift giving? I don't know. I guess it's gift giving, but like, not in like the, but it's also, it's more of an active service. Yeah. Like it is kind of, but in a way where it's like, I don't know, like I would say gift giving is probably my worst love language, but it's not because it's my best gifts I've ever gotten are from you. I guess if it comes to like, I think it's like I'm good at making things I'm not really good at, just like shopping, like I, if you gave me like$200 at the mall, I honestly wouldn't know what to get you. It's not even acts of service. It's like so thoughtful. Yeah, like I'm better at like a sentimental thing than like, just like Yeah. Like if you were like, buy me this, which yeah, like if you gave me money to buy something, I don't know what I would get. Yeah. Like you got me like beautiful earrings and you got me like cute workout set. Yeah. And then you got me my favorite snack. That's just like the Harder, harder for me. Yeah. But yeah, I was glad Keely liked Turkey gift. I absolutely loved it. I've brought in it everywhere with me. We'll post the digital version of it, we'll post the digital because it's so perfect. But after that. We whipped it over to Le Amme. Ellie, when we say whipped, we mean whipped. We mean whipped. Ellie has Austen's car for the summer, and mind you, it's a absolute sports car, and it's like so sick. Ellie goes, Ellie goes. Get ready guys immediately. Just floors it. Oh, zero to 40 so quick. The acceleration is crazy. I flew back in my seat. I thought we were on Disneyland. We were blasting all our favorite songs. We had sports car, we had Nokia, we had Bed Chem, we had some Taylor in there. It was the best car driver, was the best car ride and like. Arcadia is really like going, that drive to global Ambassador is really pretty. So pretty like the mountains and the palm trees. So we were just absolutely vibing and it was so fun. It was so fun, and so we just went to La Amme market. Just got some coffee, pastries and snacks. We sat outside. We did a little acrobatics out on the grass. Of course. Also, keep in mind, this is a quick little interject, but I kind of like took a little break from doing my YouTube videos and vlogs just because like. I don't know why. I mean, we didn't really have anything super eventful happen, honestly in like January, February. But anyways, I'm doing an April vlog, so you'll see all this in my YouTube vlog if you wanna go check it out. I totally forgot we had this all on video. Yeah, we have this on video, like this is all V been vlogged. Like I'm imagining the clips of us like in the car right now, like I was, I actually just like all imported what we have. So anyway, basically, oh, I'm so excited. I did vlog this and I'm gonna vlog all the months, but I am glad also like Keely can. Look back on her birthday and it's vlogged. So blessed. So yeah. But I was just thinking,'cause I have the video of you doing the acrobatics, I don't know why, in the global ambassador lawn. Yeah. So keep in mind that's the bougie, classy hotel around here. Yeah. So I was feeling a little flexible, I guess. Yeah. But then afterwards we hopped back in the car and drove around. I honestly think peak birthday was like blasting music in the car. There's nothing I love more, it just hits than being in the car and blasting music. Wait. And we were also cracking up because Ellie kept missing the turn, like on the maps, like she plugged in the maps and then didn't look at it once and missed every turn. But like, we didn't care because we were just vibing so much. We were vibing. So Harley, me and Ellie on the front, like singing to each other, like whatever was happening on that map was not our business. No. And then Ellie was like, or you were like, why are you guys laughing back there?'cause me, Danielle and Leo were in the back and then we. We've been watching Ellie miss every turn, but we've just been vibing. We've just been vibing. So that was a, yeah, that was a peak moment. And then from there we had headed over to, you know what I'm saying? This, and like you're gonna see in the vlog. You could probably guess if you watch Marine TikTok is what we did. After that, we went to the Lincoln pool and we vibed, and then we got AJ's. Like that's just the most at this point. Like I should just use the same footage over and over. Like that's all do would do on the Saturdays these days. But like does, does it hit every time? Yes. There's just nothing else. Like it's just the. Perfect Saturday and we just like played some music, laid by the pool, got a nice tan. We talked to our favorite Lincoln, local Charlie obsessed Edin stopped by, she showed us her dress'cause she's getting married. It's so fabulous. And she surprised me with a little 1942 shot in a bloom energy drink to, you know, spice up the midday. And yeah, we just hung out for hours out there. And then at one point we were like. We are so hungry. We were like, we need to go feast it. AJ's no. And what's better than a 2:00 PM slice? Nothing. Nothing, nothing. It was more like three, which was the problem because basically then we had to sprint home, get ready. We were running late. But honestly, like for us running late as we were, everyone looked. Beautiful. Wait, we've actually never looked. We ate it up and we knew the outfits like we were color coordinated. Not planned even. Not planned. Like we knew what Keely was wearing. So I guess that like helped me know what to wear. But like, well, cred to Eliza, she gave me a dress to borrow. I would not have had one. But basically there's no greater closet. Eliza, we got such. No, except for, well, I was gonna say my boobs, but I'll just cut that. I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna yap about my boobs on here. Like I can, I always wanna wear her tops and then I'm like, wait, they don't fit. Yeah. But anyway, basically the sunset, sunset was gorge gorgeous. We went to seven, which is Caesar's Republic Hotel. Different. Why? We were like hotel to hotel. We love. I didn't even think about that. We were whole different hotels. Good for us. But we were at there. They have a really pretty rooftop and it's perfect for pictures and stuff. Mm-hmm. So we got really cute pictures. Cute. I know you guys. So pretty. Her outfit, her outfit ate. Aw, thank you so much. And we also had really good drinks and like. Some food and snacks. Food was so pgy. Yeah. And so it just happened to be our lucky weekend because the owner of Kill Club, which by the way, the owner of Kill Club and El Camino happened to be the same person. Wait. So we're obsessed with everything he does and the owner of Montauk and the owner Ofop. Wait, we shouted up. We might as well like get sponsored. Oh, and basically we did because we've just been hyping it up. And so he had actually messaged me and he was like, thank you so much for hitting two of my places last night. Wait, I'm, that's hilarious. Me know when you're back. And of course I threw the birthday card. I was like, that's so funny. It's actually my birthday. Yeah, we're going to kill club after this. So he's like, let me know when you're there. So we walk in dressed to the absolute nines to kill club. We don't say a thing and someone goes, are you guys Keely's party? Upset. This is the treatment we deserve. Agreed. At all moments, he saved a, he got a table for us ready for kill club and it was like 9:00 PM so it was early, so it was perfect. And then he got shots for the table. Tequila shots. I didn't have one. I gave mine to someone. I think I took it probably. But at seven, like it was a little bit of a fiasco because, and this is not a bad thing'cause it was so worth it, like. I was getting pulled for pictures for like an hour. So like, while everyone was drinking, I like hadn't have a sip. I was so behind in the drinking that when we got to kill club, I was like, guys, I'm a little sober. So Dylan got me a few. I got like immediately, like three shots in a row, like immediately. Uhhuh. And we got a few more of those Starlights that we liked. And then, yeah, we kind of just like partied till 2:00 AM and it was so fun. And then it was such a vibe. And then it was Easter and it was such a perfect weekend and like it was one of those weekends and like I was just so genuinely happy and like I wouldn't have changed anything and like it, I was just so grateful for all my friends and I felt so loved and like I was just so happy. And like it was one of like, it sounds really dumb, but. I was going into the work week. Like happy. Yeah. Like I like it was Sunday night and I was like, honestly, like I really love my life. Like I don't really care that I have work tomorrow. Right. That's such a good thing. And I was so happy. Oh, that's so cute. And then I got fucking miserable'cause I had terrible allergies and I was so tired from the weekend and I was hitting the vape. All weekend, like an idiot. So my throat was feeling funky and then I was just tired and I didn't work out once, but so she, she hated the week. Hated the week. So if you hear sniffles over here, it's just keely's allergies. Yeah, they're going absolutely rogue. But it's nice now because it was a really long week at work, but now I have a short week at work. So I mean things even now and. Life is good. Life is good. It was good. Well, I mean, let me just add on that. I had the most fun weekend ever and we think that our friend's birthdays are more fun than our own birthdays. Totally. But I can't lie out of really. No, yours was really good. Fabulous weekend. But like mine was fab. Like I think it was as fun for you as it was for like, I had as much fun as you did. Like Yeah, we like our friend's birthdays'cause it's like all the fun without any of the pressure. But you didn't feel pressure this year? No, it was a great year. I think last year I was just being weird. Sometimes some years though, birthdays feel like people always have some people cry every year on their birthday, like people. Have weird relationships with birthday. I cried. Happy tears. Happy tears. I've cried Happy tears both years. These past, past years. Good, because I cried at your present last year, but so my present are just to waterworks, sobbed at your present this year. Yeah, it is really cute. I can't wait to, it was cute. So cute. But basically that's kind of been the last week. Yeah. And now we're here heading into May, which is crazy, heading into May. I know this week I'm actually going to Charlotte, North Carolina. I'm really hoping for some oysters. Yes, you'll have them. Yeah. What do you have going on this week, Maria? Lauren comes to visit on Friday or Thursday. Oh my God, that's so exciting. Which is gonna be really, really fun. Exciting. And then we have, so I have Lauren visiting this weekend. Nothing the next weekend, then it's Eliza's birthday weekend, then it's Danielle's birthday weekend, and then it's like June and, and then it, it's Lee's birthday. Mm-hmm. And then before you know it, it's. 4th of July. So we just booked San Diego for the 4th of July, and we're quite literally beat, beaming. We're ecstatic. I forget that. Like, and this is how last, like last summer was so much fun. Mm-hmm. And of course we're gonna have to do our summer parlay Yeah. As we do. But I don't know, like I, I definitely like harp on. Complaining about work a lot, but like our life is so good and it's so fun. We live a really good life. I know we always say it, but like it was so fun doing the podcast last year and I feel like I need to go back and listen to those episodes because we just recapped summer and like summer was so fun last year. Yeah. We had a really good summer and we already have so much to look forward to. Yeah. We have. Such a fun summer ahead. I feel like multiple boat days to come. Multiple boat days. So many birthday, like three big birthdays. Liza, Danielle, Maria, or Leah. We have three big birthdays that are coming up, Liza, Danielle, and Leah. So many boat dates. Like I said, we have Beach. Beach to come. A few work trips. I'm going, we have girls trip to Lake Tahoe, which said like Keeley can't go to, it's a touchy subject, but touchy subject. Then Keeley and Danielle will go to Barcelona. Yeah, so that'll be like in France. Yes. That'll be a great wrap up to the summer. So there's definitely like a lot of traveling and like fun trips and stuff. Yeah. Which is gonna be, I can't wait to like actually recap it all and like we'll definitely do a good mix of recap episodes, but then also like, we'll go back to having like specific themes. Yeah. Besides just like recap, like summertime. We're just gonna be doing it more I think. Yeah. And what's so fun about all these like things we have planned for the summer, nothing beats what we have unplanned. I know. So I'm so excited for what is just gonna like randomly pop up the random things that happen are the best. And I feel like that was kind of the vibe all last summer. And I feel like that's gonna happen again this summer of just like whatever happens. Well, even like about our 4th of July trip, like we literally thought it up at the pool. And like plan, like booked it. Like we were very spontaneous. Yeah. So I feel like spontaneous, we're both all gonna be spontaneous. Mm-hmm. It was so funny, Eva was just like, do we have plans for 4th of July? And the next thing you know, we had, we just booked it. Airbnb booked it an hour, like we're ready to go. So I feel like there's no time to waste. We have a lot of no time to waste. We're never gonna be this young. We're gonna be very spontaneous all summer long, which is gonna make for really good stories for the pod. And I can't wait to yap about all of them. Mm-hmm. No more episodes lost in the wind. No more episodes lost in the wind and yeah, it's great that it's gonna be really hot because what else are we gonna do? I know it's perfect. So I guess we're gonna wrap this one up, but let us know if you have any specific things you want us to talk about. And if we don't hear any topic ideas, we'll just make up our own. And if you love listening to what we've been up to, don't forget that Maria's vlogging. So you can also watch all this like unravel in real time. Yes. On the vlog I'm gonna do at least every month on YouTube. And then if we have like a trip or like something really specific, like a packed weekend, then I would do that as its own. I'm so excited to see you. So the content's going crazy. Content's going crazy for anyone who cares out there. We hope you care, and we hope you listen. Yay. You love this like all our friends. I know, but it's so fun. It's so fun. Okay. Love you guys so much and love you more. Stay tuned for the next app. Yay.
