Adamski: Flying Saucers & a United World
George Adamski was the first UFO contactee to come forward with his experiences and the first UFO disclosure activist. UFO researcher and scholar Gerard Aartsen, who has authored several books about the extraterrestrial presence is Stan Mallow’s guest on Paranormal Yakker. Hi, everyone, I'm Stan Mallow, welcome to Paranormal Yakker. My guest on today's show is Gerard Aartsen. He's a distinguished scholar, speaker & researcher from Amsterdam, The Netherlands,& has authored several outstanding books about the extraterrestrial presence. I’ll be yakking with Gerard about his book, Flying Saucers and a United World. It highlights 3 extraordinary talks given in Detroit in 1955 by George Adamski, the first UFO contactee to come forward with his experiences & the first UFO disclosure activist. Gerard Aartsen, welcome to Paranormal Yakker. Thank you for having me back, Stan. It's a pleasure to be here. The 3 talks given by Adamski in Detroit, Michigan were held on consecutive nights& was part of a promotional tour that included press conferences & media interviews for his newest published book. What Gerard was the name of the book& what was the subject matter contained in it? The 3 talks I was surprised. I had one of the talks& that was published in a limited edition in 1974. I had another of these 3 talks as a PDF that I found online.& then last year, I came across the transcript of a third talk & I was surprised to see that I managed to purchase that on eBay. This was a transcript as it was distributed in the 1950s, shortly after the talks had been given.& I was surprised to see that it had been given on consecutive dates, & they all related to the challenge to spiritual teachers that spiritual leaders that Adamski had issued on his promotion tour. Then I thought, well, this is a rather comprehensive body of information around that time.& as I was reading & rereading these talks, I realized that they are very, very pertinent to the situation we find the world in today. So I decided to make this compilation. I found some photographs that relate to events or circumstances that Adamski refers to in his talks.& I wrote an introduction to provide more context for present day readers. During his talks Adamski called on the religious leaders of his time to educate their followers about the reality of extraterrestrial visitors based on their biblical doctrine. What doctrine was he referring to? He was mainly using rather literal quotes from the Bible as evidence of extraterrestrial visitations. For instance, he equates heaven with cosmos, when biblical stories relate of visitations from heaven, he thinks that church leaders could use that as a way to explain to their followers to their to their flocks that we had been visited by extraterrestrials. It's not so much the doctrine in itself, but rather the way that the Bible mainly, but not only the Old Testament, there are several of such references in the New Testament as well, as an easy way in, so to speak, for the more religious people to be able to accept the idea of the visitors from space. What did Adamski hope would be accomplished if the churches came forward& acknowledge the ET presence? He was clearly hoping that with the public acknowledgement from the churches about the extraterrestrial presence, it was not just the biblical references that he was referring to, but also there were also some documented visits in which Adamski was aware of, visits of extraterrestrial visits to the pope, apparently Pope Pius XII, I believe it was the predecessor of John the XXIII, had been visited twice at the Vatican& John the XXIII had also had some visitations by people from space. It was those things that Adamski was hoping the church leaders would take as a cue to inform their flocks & with the, say, the massive following of the various Christian denominations, believing in the extraterrestrial presence, he believed or in any way, he hoped, that the governments of the world would no longer be able to deny what they know about visitors from space& the reality of the extraterrestrial presence. How successful was Adamski in persuading religious leaders to tell their parishioners about the existence of extraterrestrials? He was not successful & has become clear, but at the same time, the story of or at least one of the visits from space at the time of Pope John the XXIII has been extensively recounted by a bishop from Costa Rica in talks& interviews & also by a Brazilian, I believe it was a Brazilian father who worked at the at one of the church's observatories, astronimal, astronomical observatories in Brazil, & they openly & freely shared the account that had come forward through Pope John's personal assistant by now fairly well-known episode where John the XXIII & his assistant, Loris Capovilla, were having a stroll around the Vatican garden, no, not the Vatican, the gardens of the papal summer palace in Rome, Castelgandolfo, & at one point they saw these saucer shaped craft hovering over their heads, which then landed at the far end of the garden. A being came out& beckoned the pope over. This has been recounted in various places by now. So it's fairly well known& one of the things that the pope related to his assistant who had stayed put, while the pope went over to speak to the being from the spaceship, was we sometimes have trouble recognizing our brothers, & there are people human beings all over the universe. Sometimes we have we don't recognize our own brothers referring to the space people, which is, of course, exactly what Adamski had been told by his space contact& various other contactees as well. In the introduction to Flying Saucers and a United World, you uncover the main motif in Adamski's talks & efforts. What Gerard was it? Well, that's in the title Flying Saucers and a United World.& at various points in these 3 talks & also the challenge that he put forward to the religious leaders, he refers to this momentous time in history, not just 1955, but the time frame that we are living in now, this juncture in history, human history, human evolution, as a time of transition.& he refers to the biblical or the New Testamental statement that we are living or that after a certain time we would be going through the end of, yeah, due to various translation mistakes, I believe many people still believe it's the end of the world or the end of time, but it's really the end of the world as we know it or the end of this age in the history of the world, as we have had many ages before.& he refers to dispensation coming to an end, the Christian dispensation to put it in generic terms the past 2,000 years roughly, which will mark the beginning of a new dispensation, where the structures of the old will need to make place, make room for new structures. Actually, if we look at the world now, it looks very scary & it looks very uncertain. It may be happening through means& pain & hurt that wasn't really necessary if humanity had made different choices in the past 40, 50 years. But nevertheless, what we are seeing now, I believe, is what Adamski was referring to in his in his talks, namely, the failing of our systems because they have come to an end, this past age has come to an end. We see it culminating. Let's just make it concrete. Many people think the new US administration has blown up the existing world order. I personally see it as a culmination of the values that have taken over in the past 40 or 50 years especially since World War II, where greed is now, you know, vice has become a virtue, injustice has become justice. falsehood has become truth.& we see this on every level. It's been going on, even though it was more veiled in around the world, not just in the United States. There was more courtesy, there was more diplomacy in the past decades, but what was happening was that the rich,& I don't mean just the billionaires, but also the rich countries, Western countries, were looking after number one. Any treaties that were made with, for instance, developing countries, always had the advantage of their own manufacturers in mind. It was always to the advantage of the big corporations or the countries themselves, leaving only crumbs for developing countries.& as a result, we've seen massive migration legally & illegally, because people need a future, people need prospects for themselves, for their families, for their children. So the economic system, the financial system,& now also the political system, they are sort of imploding on themselves. Of course, the world order, as we knew it, seems to be coming to an end, but only as a result of culminating the values that the world has been operating on, not just the United States, but the whole of the Western world, especially for the past 40, 50 years. You, Gerard also detailed how it is likely that Adamski was present when President Eisenhower met with visitors from space in February of 1954. Can you tell me what is believed to have transpired at that meeting? Before doing that, I think it's important to remind viewers that, according to various sources, Adamski had a special access privileges, an ordinance card, US government ordinance card, & a special passport, not just one source, but several sources confirm that & have seen that. How would someone who has been vilified, ridiculed for all these years would have come by such important documents? That's something that had been puzzling me for a long time. I also heard the rumors about President Eisenhower having been invited to meet some of the space visitors in 1954. It seems that he was on an unexpected short trip to Palm Springs.& while he was there, he was called away & it was not logged where he went& he was gone for, I suppose the night, if I remember correctly gone from his resort.& according to reports, one report from 1982 & one report from 1989, the first one, 1982, from an eyewitness who spoke to a British lord, who was also known for his serious interest in UFOs& space visitors, that Eisenhower had been invited when a number of scoutcrafts& motherships had landed at Edwards Air Force Base in February 1954. Eisenhower went over. He had been asked, presumably, if he would be willing to give up nuclear weapons in exchange for extraterrestrial technology for free unlimited energy source. That is my interpretation because we've heard that this offer has been made& this would have been a good occasion. History has shown that Eisenhower or his administration or the men in the gray suits behind the scenes did not agree with that proposal.& because Palm Springs& Edwards Air Force Base are within driving distance of Palomar Mountain where Adamski's residence was.& because he had these special access privileges, I think this is the occasion where he was perhaps introduced to Eisenhower or some of his high-level assistants as the space visitors, emissary or ambassador, where it was then decided to give him these special access documents, the passport & the ordinance car. To me, this is the most likely occasion where that would have been the result. So that's what my conclusion is, in any case, based on all these various circumstances. During the question and answer period at one of the Detroit talks, Adamski was asked if he actually visited the moon as he stated in his book, & if so, can he tell about the trip? He responded yes, he did visit the moon. What I would like to know, Gerard is how Adamski described his experience on the moon? He described visiting the moon in Pioneers of Space in 1949, although he did admit that was not a trip in the in the physical body, but in consciousness, maybe we would call it remote viewing nowadays but he also described his visit to the moon in Inside the Spaceships, which he was giving these talks for on his promotion tour. So it was probably asked this question by someone who had read the book.& he said to the best of my memory that the moon has been used as a base for visitors from other planets before coming here. There's a trade going on there or refueling or repairs, things like that.& the moon is quite inhabited, according to Adamski, with a lot of people from different planets in our solar system. Adamski pointed out that in case of atomic warfare we would be annihilated as a civilization, mankind is in the cross roads, & it is up to us to decide which road we will take. It's now 75 years since Adamski said that, & all that's changed is we have weapons that can destroy not just civilization, but our planet & galactic members. That I think would, for their own survival, give our galactic brothers & sisters good cause to want to change the direction we are heading. Did Adamski ever say what the galactic brethren he spoke with said they would do if such a scenario came about; a scenario that seems to be taking place as we speak? Yes, indeed. These are very scary times, Stan. I agree.& in in the 1950s, there were mainly the United States & the Soviet Union who had nuclear weapons are soon followed by Great Britain & France,& now it seems there are 24 nations with the nuclear weapons. Israel included & Iran, or maybe Iran being on the verge of developing such weapons. Understandably, when an adversary on your orbal borders has such weapons at their dispososal, same with North Korea,& it's mind blowing because who do these people think they can save by using such weapons? It is just incomprehensible how they think this will really play out if anybody loses control & presses that button. So Adamski, even, you know, in the 1950s, it was quite clear that this would just lead, just one moment of insanity would lead to a domino effect.& indeed, with the present levels of the nuclear arsenal worldwide, it would just be domino effect & might even blow up the planet & seriously affect the integrity of the physical integrity, even of the solar system. The space people that Adamski spoke to also reported in Inside the Spaceships have warned humanity for such an event & they have told him that they would not be able to save humanity. They would not infringe our free will if we insist on destroying ourselves, but they will step-in to save the planet, so that human evolution will be able to start over again, because we are an integral part of the solar system.& it's not up to us as only one of the kingdoms in nature to decide that, well, this planet has failed or this planet is mine & I'm going to blow it up if I want to. That's not up to us. We are part of a grand call it cosmic plan that will play out in the end, even after many mistakes. We've, as a humanity on this planet, we've made mistakes before. We have gone through annihilations before. Think of Atlantis& before that Lemuria. Human history on this planet is millions & millions of years old, even if it's not recognized by official mainstream history, the records or the myths& the legends, they come from somewhere.& there have been extensive research in that respect that show that have given a lot of clues in that direction. So we've had floods that have decimated or all, but eradicated humanity from this planet. Also at times like the present where one age comes to an end & old, failing, crumbling structures need to be broken down for the field to be plowed & seeded again. That's not to say that we will necessarily destroy ourselves. We can still decide this current level of crazy that we see in the world, the culmination that I talked about that finds its present manifestation through the US administration, may be the trigger for enough of humanity to say, wait, this is not how we're going to move forward. This is not how we're going to move into a safer progress of our civilization. We need to start to get together& start sharing this world as one humanity, one planetary race& share its produce, share its wealth. There's more than enough for everyone. We already have the United Nations organization, which has been sort of incapacitated by the UN Security Council ever since it was established, because the members of the Security Council, especially the 5 permanent members, are only there to safeguard their own geopolitical interests& economic interests, so that the UN General Assembly has not been able to function as the parliament of the world's nations that it is supposed to be, where conflicts can be resolved by diplomacy& talking to each other, trying to understand each other's point of view. So it's not a certainty that we will blow ourselves up, but we need to come to our senses. We need to realize what has been going wrong, not just this year since the last US elections, but since the last 40, 50 years. What have we omitted to recognize? Where did we lose sight of our humanity in the way we have built this world where it was seen as a virtue to become a billionaire at the cost of people working in sweatshops for cents for a one day hard labor, 12 hour, 14 hour days of work, & then they would get a few dollar cents. All this wealth has been sucked up by a few people at the at the top of the economic power ladder.& that's just the way the system was designed. The system scene that has been put in place since, you know, the election of Ronald Reagan& Margaret Thatcher around 1980& neoliberalism, neoconservatism, took hold, not just in the US& in the UK, but around the Western world& even beyond there. It's taken our humanity away. This whole commercialization, there is freedom for the market forces for those who were the financially & economicically most strong in the in the playing field already, trampling over 80, 90 % of the rest of humanity& sucking the rest of humanity dry. It's about recognizing the human values that will bring us beyond these very incorrect human relations of greed & selfishness& growing competition, conflict & chaos. That is what we see now, unless we recognize that & enough people unite to bring down this order based on false values in a fairly orderly way, in as far as that's still possible, we will descend into further chaos& conflict where & it seems quite likely as you indicate that we know where that is going.& that doesn't look good for humanity. So it's about recognizing our responsibility. It's not just the responsibility of people at the top. The people at the top are at the top because we put in there somehow.& or they have been able to get to the top because we bought into their stories of personal freedom & small government. This is not looking after our human brothers & sisters. This was just about, you know, looking after ourselves, meaning our country, our own national interests,& through our own national interests, the people, again, who were the most powerful already in terms of finance & economic power. We need to get back to human values. We need to recognize that we are all interconnected, all of humanity. We are not only interconnected, connected with nature, with the planet that we've been destroying. We're interconnected with every single human brother & sister on this planet& throughout the universe, even if we don't recognize it, even if we don't sense that at the moment. But all the modern science would be the latest scientific insights, through quantum research, through system sites, shows that as a fact, it's not a nice philosophy. It's a fact. We need to, what we're seeing in the world is what happens when we ignore that fact or when we choose to violate that oneness& we're destroying our existing world order because of it.& we've been destroying our planet. We've been destroying the human soul in many ways. So we need to become aware of where the cause lies.& as Adamski says, the choice lies with man. It is up to humanity.
