Scripture:

Mark 6:11 - And whoever will not receive you nor hear you, when you depart from there, shake off the dust under your feet as a testimony against them. Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!"

Transcript:

And now, Admonition, brought to you by the Collierville Church of Christ.

In Mark 6:11 we read, And whoever will not receive you nor hear you. When you depart from there, shake the dust off of your feet as a testimony against them. Jesus will tell his disciples as they go out to teach and to preach. When you go to a city and the people reject you--you can't find a household that will take you in, that will receive you, that will hear your words--when that happens, you understand something: they're not rejecting you. They're rejecting the one who sent you. We need to learn as we teach and preach to others. The rejection of the message is not a rejection of us. It's a rejection of the Father. It's a rejection of Christ. It's a rejection of the one who sent the message.
