Speaker 2November . Okay , so I'm not crazy and we're going to talk about Things that you can find At your mama's house .
Speaker 1I love it . This is going to be fun . Everything right here you can find at your mama's house .
Speaker 2This in particular , and I'm pointing to this giant wooden fork and spoon we have hanging on the wall , sarah , and I'm pointing to this giant wooden fork and spoon we have hanging on the wall . Sarah and I went thrifting specifically to try to find this old set because my mama had one in her kitchen and I don't know where it's at . I asked my mama where it's at . She don't know , but I wanted that set but we didn't find it , so we bought one . This is a prime example of what I found in my mama's kitchen , always hanging on the wall .
Speaker 1Absolutely . And you know what I ? I I strive to get my kitchen to look like my mama's kitchen because it's just , it just makes it a happy place for me .
Speaker 2You know , my mama was my comfort , you know and for so many their mamas were that like walk in the door . Okay , so take me . Take me to your mama's kitchen , walk me through the door and what do you ?
Speaker 1see , okay . So first is gonna be these chairs , these exact chairs we sitting in . They look like this sitting in um this was the kitchen table chairs , yeah , okay , dining room , imagine okay . So you walk in carpet in the kitchen , in the dining room . Oh , you walk in carpet In the kitchen , in the dining room . Oh , you walk through the dining room first yes , okay .
Speaker 1And then the carpet , and then you go off to the left-hand side and there's my mama's kitchen . All right , she had like a linoleum floor , you know those floors that have the little blocks , but they're all different colors and they all kind of go the different ways .
Speaker 2Do they look like rocks ? Yes , exactly .
Speaker 1You know what I'm talking about Exactly .
Speaker 2Used to be my mama's floor , the linoleum yes , yeah , okay .
Speaker 1So it's like that , and I kind of have one like that at my house , but mine looks more up to date than that one . These are the little ones . Okay , the little you know . You know what I'm talking about , what you know how my floor is .
Speaker 2Oh , the flooring . Yes , yes , yes , yes .
Speaker 1Okay , and then she's got like just that old formica that's kind of cracking .
Speaker 2Yeah , countertops yeah .
Speaker 1And then in the wooden cabinets , you know , but not like they are today , not like that wooden stuff you can find today in the new houses . This is like built , oh yeah , solid blocks of wood and there no dimension to the front of the cabinet you know , uh , and just the coffee smell and the biscuits and like the old oven it was brown , I think .
Speaker 2I don't remember , maybe I'm , maybe I'm remembering wrong what about like wood , wood paneling , like the walls or no ? Yeah , yeah .
Speaker 1She had wood paneling , but she had like I don't know , she had like a wallpaper . Okay , the wood paneling was at the bottom of the house and the wallpaper was at the top . Okay , you know and she had all the different .
Speaker 1She had like paintings from somebody painted our camp for her for christmas one year and you know she had , there was like this little plaque with all of her children's names on it , like all the kids were on there and the girls looked all a certain way and the boys looked all a certain way , you know , and uh , their names was all on it , and and she had a counter and we sit at the counter and we drink coffee , milk with my mom , and it was just I don't know , I could just sometimes , I could just smell it .
Speaker 2Still , you know , oh , yeah , that smell absolutely like always , was it like a food smell ?
Speaker 1no , it was like laundry and I don't know . And like my papa's matches , because like twirls matches in his fingers , you know , and like they smoked in the house . So a little bit of smoke , you know .
Speaker 2A little bit of smoke yeah .
Speaker 1I don't know what I would do to go back and smell that smoke . And when I still pass somebody smoking a cigarette I like really inhale deep . Probably shouldn't , but it's something special Cigarette smokers . A secondhand smoke ? Yeah , probably shouldn't , but it's something special Cigarette smokers .
Speaker 2That secondhand smoke gets you . I'm nostalgic , so nostalgic of my childhood . Right , my mama also smoked , but when I was a little bit older . I'm trying to think about what age I might have been when she quit , but my early childhood memories definitely had that smoke smell and always an ashtray around you know , and don't you be playing . I remember one time like oh , you know what's this . As a kid you're like oh , ashes , whatever . Because my mama didn't smoke .
Speaker 2So I really I mean that was the only time I really saw cigarettes . So I did , and the ashes went all over . Pass me a slap so fast . Get away from that . Get away from that . You like . It was your fault . There was ashes , oh yeah , but I mean I blew on it like I don't know what it was , you know . So I was being I don't know I didn't know what it was gonna happen , but I was just like , and it like went everywhere oh pass me a slap , so I never did that again .
Speaker 1Oh better not no , ma'am , better not , so tell me about her house okay .
Speaker 2So when you came in the door , you it was like kind of a a wide hallway but that's where her laundry , her uh wash , uh washing machine and dryer was in there . And then on the opposite side was all cabinets . Um , you know , like those cabinet doors , uh the the knobs were like it was just a little push button , you know I'm talking about . It was like metal and it had a little red button in the middle and you just push it and it pops open . That's where she would keep like her flour and uh baking stuff and I don't know pantry things , canned goods and all that . Then into the kitchen and right right to the right they had the oven and under the oven was another cabinet . It was like a door . You open the kitchen and right right to the right they had the oven , and under the oven was another cabinet . It was like a door . You open the door and in the then they had drawers that would come out .
Speaker 2That's where she kept all the snacks . Oh , like when I was a kid . That's where , like , I'd go right for that cabin and see what kind of snacks she had . Oh , like she would have uh chips and like cookies and stuff was kept in there . Oh , lucky , I know . And uh , combos . You remember the little pretzel ?
Speaker 1yes , combos she always had combos .
Speaker 2It was either the pizza ones or the cheddar ones , and that was my little . I would always give me a little handful of combos and you got me hungry for some combos right now .
Speaker 2I know I ain't had one of those in so long , but same like type of linoleum floors and I guess it was a formica counter . My kitchen wasn't super , super big but like a little round table and it expanded and we'd go have supper , we'd go have lunch on Sundays . Usually she would cook something and we'd have to pop the little leaf , extra leaf , into the table . What else ? Fork and spoon thing on the wall and dark , like kind of dark wooden cabinets .
Speaker 1Her house was wooden , or it was brick Wooden . Yeah , on pillars , yeah .
Speaker 2And the living room . And then you walk into through into the living room and , um , the smell was always like kind of stale , stale , old smoke kind of . And I I lived in this house after my grandparents moved to lafayette to be closer . My mama wasn't well in her later life and so they moved to Lafayette to be closer to doctors and hospitals and all that . So the house was empty and I had just graduated high school and like I'll kind of one of my independence , but I was in college and this and that the house was empty . So I lived in that house for a few years before I got married and I think you something , huh .
Speaker 1I know how I didn't know about that I don't think I'm nobody . I thought I told you that oh , maybe , I don't know , probably a long time ago I was .
Speaker 2I mean , it was really nothing , it was a place to sleep I still ate at my mama's .
Speaker 1We was next door to my mama's , yeah , but I always dreamed I would uh , I would live in my mama and my daddy's yard and they wouldn't put me a little house from home Depot . And here you are living , I'm living , your dream I was living your dream .
Speaker 2I was walking . I'd go to school . I'd come home , do my homework . I'd walk to my mama's eat . Go back , walk home , do my homework , Like it was the dream ?

And you said it makes you smell like your , what your mama's house , mama's house , yes , it reminds me of a clean .

Speaker 1Absolutely All right . So that's another thing that I learned that my mom's house was cleaning , how to clean . I learned everything how my mom's house was cleaning , how to clean . I learned everything how to clean from my mom .
Speaker 2she would go and I dust these chairs like this she'd give me the pass around and yeah , pass that rag , that dust rag , put a little pledge you earned some dollars doing that , or you just she'd bring me to bill's dollar store oh , love it , you know love that and I could pick out something , did she ?
Speaker 2have a lot of little knickknacks . Oh , yes , mine too . Yes , mine too . My mama too . But mine wouldn't let me dust them because she was too afraid I'd break them . But there's this one little thing , and I don't even know where it's at anymore . I hope my mama has it . But it was this little bird and you could put some potpourri-like stuff in it and it smelled like peaches . Every time I'd go over , I'd go , I'd go find the little bird and I would turn it upside down and smell it and that smell and I kept it in my house even after my mama moved away and I .
Speaker 2I don't know why she left it , but it was in my house and every time I'd pass it now it was like the the scent was all faded but I couldn't get myself to dump it out and switch it . You know , it was like that was Mama Ma's , I don't know her thing .
Speaker 1Oh wow , yeah , because you know that was still smelling if you put your nose closer .
Speaker 2Yeah , like , take a deep , deep breath of that Cigarette smelling peaches , you know . Oh man , yeah , so , okay . So , oh man , yeah , so okay , so I have to . I want to read you some things .
Speaker 1Okay .
Speaker 2I asked on Facebook what are some things that remind y'all of y'all's mama's house ? And I want to . I'm going to look at this and I want to read a few things , because I thought you're going to get some validation out of this , or maybe it's going to remind you like , yes , that was my mama too . Okay .
Speaker 1Okay .
Speaker 2Okay , this one said the smell of homemade root beer .
We would go to her house . We would always look to see if she had , and we would see if she had sun tea making outside .
Speaker 1Oh sun tea you see , that's something . I never , never tried .
Speaker 2Okay , this one . Let's see Her china cabinet , the snack bar , her calendar that has everyone's birthdays written on it .
Speaker 1Oh my gosh . Yes , that's a good one no-transcript , that's so , so true , the calendar was the best , because then I could see everybody's with panel walls absolutely cigarettes and ashtrays .
Speaker 2Yes , that's a good one , I know . Uh , let's see a gas heater that would melt your skin right off right off . Don't you stand too close to that do not know , a rotary phone on the wall , did you ?
Speaker 1remember where it was at that time , I think , uh , no , she had one by on this on the snack bar , on the counter mine had one on the wall in the kitchen and then also one in the living room by her sofa yeah , yeah okay , uh , let's see this one .
Speaker 2Oh , she says her wooden rocking chair . Yes , in the kitchen . The kitchen is where we sat for visits , so she had her little rocking chair in the kitchen . How sweet the smell of roast . Love that . Couscous and cinnamon toast .
Speaker 1Yeah , I learned how to make pan .
Speaker 2Pan do , oh my gosh , this is my brother that commented this . So this is about my mom . Oh , what is that ? That long , skinny , thin knife with the brown handle she used to cut up things in her hand with ? I know exactly what he's talking about . When she would make potato salad , she would hold the potato and she would in her hand and then she turned the potato , go the other way in her hand , turn the potato and it was diced you hear me diced in her hand .
Speaker 2I wonder where that knife is . I know exactly .
Speaker 1Live with it for a little while when you got to live in your grandma's house , I think she took it with her .
Speaker 2Really , yeah , that wasn't left behind . No , ma'am , no ma'am . Let's see what else we got aprons and rolling pins , okay .
Speaker 1I saw that's a , that's a , an extra moment right there , huh , aprons and rolling pins . I guess hearing the French rosary oh my gosh , yes early in the morning with coffee . Yes , yes , yes , yes , yes , yes .
Speaker 2Uh , a flower bin like a bin , like a big bin to hold , her , flower in a wooden , wooden bowls and biscuits in the oven . Hmm .
Speaker 1Biscuits . I loved waking up . We'd go spend a night over there . They would , and it didn't . It wasn't nothing special . They put some Pillsbury biscuits in the oven and we'd wake wake up to biscuits her wooden bowl of wooden fruit .
Speaker 2I think my mama had wooden fruit . Oh , why wouldn't you ? Nobody was where that came from oh , my gosh , uh , let's see her pink bathroom . Pink , I think , mama . I think the bathroom , the fixture like the bathtub in there , was pink In that bathroom . Maybe it was blue . It was probably either blue or green or pink in that time frame .
Speaker 1Yeah .
Speaker 2Because I know Nathan's Mama . Her bathroom was green , you know it had that old olive , green or yellow .
Speaker 1Sometimes it does with yellow . I'm like why Would you want that ? It doesn't show the dirt ? I guess .
Speaker 2Oh grimy , I know . Oh , this one is showing a picture of like that old Costco type stool that you have in your kitchen . That's what she remembers A chair sitting on a chair similar to that . Let's see Such good stuff .
Speaker 1I know .
Speaker 2I'm loving this .
Speaker 1Her such good stuff . I know I'm loving this her jesus picture , the one where it changed as you walk past it .
Speaker 2Oh memory , I love that , I love this .
Speaker 1I love this so much . Yeah , she had one in her living room and you could walk was it like a 3d type of thing ?
Speaker 2what ?
Speaker 1yeah , it was , but it was like you know , like you would go over here and jesus was like on the cross and then go over here and Jesus was like you know , oh my , I love that . Just a regular man . Maybe he had his little .
Speaker 2I don't know exactly what it was .
Speaker 1but you know , oh my gosh , I forgot about that . Okay , let's see .
Speaker 2A copper fish that hung on the wall Like we see those at thrift stores a lot like different copper things
. Yeah , yeah oh , the instant love . She hugged you , kissed you and immediately would say honey , can I offer you something to drink or eat ? I think that's everybody's momo . Let's see what else but it is .
Speaker 1It's so special , even , um , even for our kids , like I see it with our kids too , you know , when they go to their grandparents house , the instant love because they don't have to spend all the time I mean grandparents can spoil them , because they can just send their little butts back home , right , yeah , oh , a lot of them .
Speaker 2A lot of these comments are about coffee milk , which I'm glad we carrying on that tradition , you know yeah the smell of cornbread in the oven and smothered okra . This one says let's see a crystal dish always filled with candies you know different candies , old farmer's sink and homemade tea cakes .
Speaker 2Her quilting at night , oh , how sweet , so special can you just like picture these things as they say in it , like something I can just picture . Oh , the scary dark hall that I had to go down to get to the bathroom . Looking back now , it was probably 10 feet at the time , but it felt like a football field to cross . I can imagine that . Yeah , that scary dark hall , a cookie jar that I could reach , mugs on the counter that hung from a metal holder making homemade ice cream with the crank picking pecans , shucking corn . I mean , this is yeah , I love this a simple time yeah that's what we like .
Speaker 2Going to my mom's house . It was like a slow down , simpler time and that's why I'm telling like my , my , uh kids love going to their Grammy's house because she will stop whatever she's doing and it's all focused on them and I'm like I'm glad that they get that attention . You know , because when you're in the thick of it as a mama , it's hard to do that to slow down everything .
Speaker 2But the grandparents get to do that , they do , they do . Okay , I'm going to read a couple more . The smell of snuff she dipped , she would chew tobacco Mamon oh my word , the smell of snuff . Always . Homemade syrup for biscuits sitting on her table . Vo5 shampoo . Irish spring soap .
Speaker 1You know what my mamon had at her house ? Her shampoo was tea-Jail .
Speaker 2You know what I'm talking ?
Speaker 1That tar-looking stuff , yes , and look , don't worry about no flakes in your hair after you use T-Jail baby , because that strips your hair of everything .
Speaker 2Yeah , mom and dad would use that .
Speaker 1Let's see what else we got and . Watkins . She would buy all that stuff Watkins from . She would buy all that stuff Watkins from the car practice . Oh , I don't know that . You don't know about that .
Speaker 2No , let's see Smell of something always good cooking on her old gas stove . Homemade crochet items all over the house . The pass down , pyrex . The old appliances and baking pans . Can't forget the Magna light pots . I love this . Oh , front porch screen door and coffee on the stove . A lot of them , a lot of these comments are about the old , the coffee pots always on .
Speaker 2Yeah , you know , oh yeah okay let me find one more good one . Oh , my gosh , this is a picture of those old metal cups . Okay , I'm gonna stop there , because that ties into a memory I have too about my mom the metal cups and the and a metal pitcher . Like she kept her own cup she would keep it in the fridge and the pitcher of water and that was the coldest water you would ever put to your mouth . Like I can still , but I could taste the metal .

Speaker 2I can still taste the metal in my mouth when I'm thinking about it . But if you needed water , use this . Go get you a little sip of water . It's in the fridge , you know and go to . And hers was purple , a purple one , and I think my papa had a gold one that he would drink out of . They're like their special colors .

Speaker 1Yes , that's so sweet Sweet memories of my mom's house . Okay , let's take a second .

Whenever I was sick and every I feel like so many people can relate to this when I was sick and I couldn't go to school and go to my mom's house , she would always let me drink a Sprite and we would watch Price is Right , and then Young and the Restless .

Speaker 1World Turns Guiding Light . We'd watch all that and she would have her little nap time too . She would doze on and off and she would doze , and she'd smoke a half a cigarette and then she would have her little nap time too . She would doze on and off and she would doze , and and she'd smoke a half a cigarette and then she would take her nap , not a whole one . Yeah , you know just those . She would just doze off and I , like I just what I would do to go back to that drink my little pop , eat my little yogurt , or whatever crackers , or like saltines , like saltines .
Speaker 1Oh yeah , she would do the Nilla Wafers and she would put a slice of cheese in the middle of them like a little hamburger .
Speaker 2Nilla Wafers and cheese . Girl , don't knock it till you try it .
Speaker 1I'm not going to knock it , she would make it in a platter and bring it to me , oh , like a delicacy , like an hors d'oeuvre or something here . Baby , this is for your stomach now . I bet you she did that with y' all , huh , y'all y'all , my aunts and uncles , her kids . We was spoiled , not y'all , no , no you didn't get that .
Speaker 2If you was home with your mama though that was different like saltines and and sit and lay down .
Speaker 1You ain't getting up , ain't doing nothing , you know surely wasn't gonna get to watch the uh the soaps either with your mama .
Speaker 2No , no no but the price is right though . The price is right . That was the stay at home when you sick show to watch . That's all they had on , yeah that's all you could watch . That's true . What about tell me something that you , your mom , cooked , that you ?
Speaker 1I knew you was about to ask me that .
Speaker 2You know we talk about food on this podcast , so you just tell me what's one of your favorite dishes that she cooked for you .
Speaker 1I guess I remember eating like smothered potatoes .
Speaker 2I don't remember a whole lot . Did you call them U-Haul potatoes ? No , no .
Speaker 1I never heard that before . I hear people call them camp potatoes Okay , I think that might be just Brittany and them , though . Camp potatoes is like the sausage , and smothered potatoes , onions and stuff too , I mean , I guess . I guess I don't remember too much what she cooked , it wasn't . Yeah , I know that's strange . Huh , she taught me how to cook like egg in a basket .
Speaker 2Oh yeah , you know Simple things , yeah , simple things .
Speaker 1And a basket oh yeah , you know simple things , yeah , simple things uh , but and and a red gravy .
Speaker 2You know we had a lot of like fish in a red gravy . Yeah , I got you . What's your grandma cook ? Mama ma , um , she would do rice and gravies and stuff and she made . Well , she would make homemade french fries a lot . I don't know . I remember that , like she would cut her own potatoes and and make her homemade french fries in her hand and um and mom , they would have like french fry sandwiches . I'm not kidding . Yeah , like now .
Speaker 2This was the date the next day okay , so like a leftover french fries , her mom , papa french fry sandwiches , okay , um , but like definitely rice and gravies , definitely . I remember , um well , one of my favorite things Mama Ma was not Cajun , by the way , I know we talked about this before but in case you didn't hear , mama Ma was Italian . So they have an Italian-style sweet spaghetti sauce that she would make . I love it , my mama loves it , my dad no . My dad was never a fan of it . So like she would make either like a meatball stew or something she would make spaghetti and meatballs for us and then like a meatball stew , brown gravy for , like my daddy , when we all go . So I just I could never , I could never duplicate that sauce . Like I try and I get close , but it's the pots , I know , it's the pots . Like the pots and the spoons that's seasoned from years . You know what I'm saying . Like mama , I can picture it in my mind , the pot she used . And again , you ever wonder like where's all my mama's stuff ?
Speaker 2Like it's some where's them pots , because I want to put my name on that . Maybe your brother has them . I'm going to call him when I get this podcast . Uh , no , but she had a specific pot she would use for that .
Speaker 1And it .
Speaker 2Just , you know , put your what they call , that Like put your foot in it . No , like when somebody says oh , you put your foot in that , Like you put your soul into that , you never heard of that , never heard of that I'm teaching you all kind of things .
Speaker 1All the things you're teaching me , oh my God , cats in ovens and biscuits and putting your foot in it , put your foot in it , put your whole heart and soul in it .
Speaker 2It's true . Oh man , she would really put a foot in . That that's crazy . And always that really stinky Romano cheese , Like not just Parmesan . She would buy the Romano you know what I'm talking about To put on top of spaghetti St out , to put on top of spaghetti stinky foot cheese , but it was the best .
Speaker 1You hear me . Okay , maybe cut this , but I'm about to ask you about something you remember . You told me a funny , funny story about your grandma one time , and we was in the car .
Speaker 2What it was like she would say , flat , as a flitter , I can't get all that funny .
Speaker 1You think that's so funny ? Okay , that's so funny , though , and I laughed this much the first time you told me and she would say it Something burned her goozle .
Alright , so we're going to talk about Long's products . It's one of our favorite cleaning businesses . It's a janitorial supply shop but it's family owned and operated Since 1950 . They're in their third generation of Generation of operation . They make their own Pelican brand chemicals that are popular on TikTok right there in central Louisiana in Alexandria , such as their Pinol 80 , dunzo Degreaser , housekeeper no 1 , toilet Ring Remover , digest Plus Enzyme , and it gets rid of stinky odors like pet odors and things like that .
Speaker 2That's a good point . We didn't say before the pet odor thing .
Speaker 1Yes , I feel like that is yes , that's a deal um and kids , you know well , they have odors too they do .
Speaker 1Um , they have a showroom that is open to the public right off i-49 exit 83 um in alexandria , and you can . Um they have free delivery to commercial accounts , but you can also get their products at home , which I love because I like me some cleaning products that work . They work okay . Speaker 2Yes , all right , so tell us about Flat as a Flitter and um my mom had some had saying like ways of saying things that were not correct , but you didn't correct her Like , no , you don't correct my mom . And I'm trying to think of more . I need to ask my brother , because my brother would know and he and my cousin would remember things that she said but off top of my head , I told you about this . One day . She would say like , if so , I don't , I'm trying to think of like how she would say it . But if something was , I don't know , flat , I get it . Oh , she would say , whoo , that's , that's flat as a flitter . And I'm pretty sure she meant fritter . Yeah , like you know , a fritter is fried like a , like an apple fritter .
Speaker 1Yeah , flat as a flitter I don't know why that's so funny it is , I know I know .
Speaker 2And then the other thing I thought of Okay , that coffee's so hot , no , this was spicy foods . Or like okay , my mama , I can remember I don't know when this started , but I remember like my mama and papa would share a Coke , like a pop of Dr Pepper or something like that , and he would pour they'd pour it in two glasses , right , and he would stir it to get some of the carbonate . Stop , stop you . He would stir it to get some of the carbonation out , because it was , you know , like my kids , when they take a sip of Coke , they like oh , that's spicy , you know it's the bubbles , yeah , the carbonation . She take a drink of that . And if it wasn't stirred , he would do that for her because she would say , oh , that , that burned my guzzle now listen , y'all gonna be saying pilates and flitting burned my goose .

Speaker 2he got the . He got some of the bubbles out for her . She looked that man , my po-po . He's still alive . Bless his soul . He went above and beyond for my mama . Oh my God . They were married over 50 years Like oh man .
Speaker 1Go to your po-po's house and tell him can you please want to have some Coke together and have ?
Speaker 2him stir it . I bet you he don't want it to burn my guzzle . Burn my guzzle , stir it . I bet you you don't want it to burn my goozle , but remember I told you why . Why we found out everything was burning her she had esophageal cancer Poor maman , now we laughing at her , we laughing at her . It's okay , she would laugh too . No , she'd probably pass me a slap for making fun of her .
Speaker 1You'd probably catch a slap from maman for sure . Oh , I have to ask my brother about some more things .
Speaker 2She would say but oh yeah , and she would walk over . She'd walk over to our house a lot and just unannounced , you know , just walk over , which I didn't know , no difference . But thinking back I'm like she could have probably told but we didn't text or nothing back then and you're not going to call all the time , no , and y'all lived in the same and we lived next door , so she'd just come over when y'all at .
Speaker 1She'd say or she'd open the door . What ?
Speaker 2y'all doing my mama ? I can hear her voice in my head .
Speaker 1Oh my goodness , what y'all doing . I loved living next door to them , though . Yeah , we live not too far from my mama , but , uh , and you know we could just stop by . Yeah , and they still like my papa , still likes that mama more since past , but he's , he still says you know , come by y'all , come by y'all . Y'all . Never come you know , come visit .
Speaker 1Come visit . Yeah , the other day I went and I stopped at my papa's and we , we drank a beer together and and he was so happy . He just looked at my little baby . You , we drank a beer together and he was so happy . He just looked at my little baby , you know , and he sat with me in front of him and he just kind of stared at him and we enjoyed visiting with his little woman and everything , moni , and we had a good time , you know . So they still like that . They don't care . You don't have to call before .
Speaker 1Oh no , they love a pop in . Me I don't care if you don't . You don't have to call before you know . No , they love a pop-in me , I don't . Oh , that's the difference in generations .
Speaker 2I think you know , yeah , because even like my mom and daddy , I mean , I live next door to them now and and they when I go , but I'll just walk over sometimes . Oh , thank you for the pop-in , she'll tell me my mama you know , so sweet .
