Loving Light,
Matty and Emily
Hey there, amazing souls and welcome to today's show. Emily and I are excited to be with you once again and we wanted to dive into something that is near and dear to us. I know we talk a lot about the Akashic records and developing your intuition. And especially within the Akashic Records, giving we just completed our first ever live run, four days, Akashic Attunement: a Journey to Intuitive Mastery course. So we're feeling really excited about completing that and just super high vibes on all the amazingness and the deep connections that we made with others, but that people were facilitating with themselves and that's the point. It is for you to learn how to connect deep with yourself and facilitate your own higher awareness of yourself, of your perspective, of what you came to learn and do, and to navigate and to grow from, and to journey in this third dimensional realm, this beautiful earth school that we're all upon. But we wanted to deviate a little bit because one of the topics we covered in that course, and we realized it. It really needed some attention within our podcast, and that's empathic gifts. They are different than intuition, but it is a way that most people have some sort of empathy ability, and it's a way to process energy around us to know our environment, and we just find it really cool, vastly important to know about, at least just to have a little information on the gifts. And see what jives with you or you know, if you're vibing with something or not. But understand that there are ways that aren't tapping into your intuition, that you can know more about the environment and the people within your environment and what's going on and reading this energy. There's just a plethora of ways to know more about oneself and what's going on around you. It doesn't have to be the Akashic records, it doesn't have to just be intuition development. There are so many other ways out there. So we wanted to jump in and kind of get into these empathic gifts with you today.
Emily:Yes. Just like Matty said, I just wanna jump back really fast and say that we have, we are so incredibly excited and proud of our Akashic attunement course. It was just like a dream come true to put together and it, we just had so much fun with it and it turned out even way better than I even imagined that it would. So it was really exciting to, you know, seeing the final product put together and just see how really amazing this course really is. And just a live or a life update really quickly. We are. Leaving on Wednesday, well actually the day that this airs, we'll be leaving, you know, day after tomorrow our precious puppy friend Aspen that we've been with for the last four months here in Fort Collins. So we're a little bit sad about that, but we're gonna be heading to close to Denver for just two nights to hang out with some kitty friends. And so that'll be exciting to meet them and, you know, to give them some love. And to bring it back to now we are very excited to be talking about these empathic gifts. Just having this insight into yourself, knowing your specific gifts is very, very helpful. A lot of them can cause you to have like some really unique and kind of weird symptoms and just experiences. Knowing these things about yourself really just kind of helps give you that insight as to what the hell is going on at certain times. So I feel like it's, it's been very helpful for me. I mean, I thought that I was an emotional empath for a very long time, and turned out I get my, you know, Akashic record reading like five, six years ago now. And sure enough, emotional empath was definitely one of my gifts and as well as clairsentience. So it even goes a little bit further than emotional empath. But that is the first one we wanna start with is emotional empathy and, and being an emotional empath. And that is typically the most common. When people think about being an empath, they think that. You know, they're an emotional empath, and while they may be picking up on emotions, there are these different ways to be processing these different experiences and emotions. And so it's very important to kind of understand the difference that way you kind, you do have this awareness about yourself. So an emotional empath literally experiences the emotions of others as if they were their own. And they receive and process this emotional data through their heart chakra. So it's like they literally like take it in through their heart chakra and they're filtering the other people's emotional energy through their heart. This can cause a lot of emotional, like ups and downs. It can definitely cause like an emotional rollercoaster because you can be frequently overwhelmed with these emotions because you're literally like taking them on and thinking that they're your own because you know your heart's beating fast because it's literally processing this emotional energy like through it.
Matty:And if you don't understand that you're an emotional empath, you may think that every emotion you feel is yours. That's the tricky thing is to distinguish between your own emotions and those of other people. That's why a lot of emotional empaths talk about being overwhelmed or they feel victimized by other people's emotions, like they're forcing them on them. It's just how your aura operates. It just allows it in and then it allows it in through your heart chakra. So being able to understand your emotional empath, one empowers you to know, okay, is this mine? Is this someone else's? Oh, it's someone else's. Okay, I need to go back to, hopefully you have a way to clear your energy. It's one of the things that we teach in a couple different ways, but clearing your energy and starting fresh, especially before you go and after you leave an area where you know you're gonna be around a bunch of people. Can get you back to square one with yourself. That's the really tricky thing, is when you don't realize you're an emotional empath and you take this stuff on and you get this rollercoaster or this overwhelm of emotions because you don't know what's yours or what's not yours, what you're processing. You're just processing it all so it can feel like everything's yours, whether it makes sense or doesn't make sense with what you're feeling.
Emily:Yes, that's so true and I feel like a lot of people that identify with being emotional empaths know exactly what it feels like to be overwhelmed, overwhelmed by other people's emotions, feeling crazy at times. Like wondering, especially, you know, if you're living with a lot of different people, you can literally. You're wonder what in the world is going on, especially if you are living with someone you know, possibly like a romantic partner, where you have like this chaotic relationship. And then it's like, you know, you break up and you move on and you have this other relationship and you're like, holy shit I wasn't crazy all along. Like this emotional rollercoaster that I was experiencing really was like just the two auras coming together and creating this freaking chaotic energy. So I don't wanna like point the blame here and say it's just their fault. But there are certain people that you know, you get together and you do feel a little crazy sometimes, I feel like. And then others, you know, they'll help balance out your nervous system a little bit more. So it's just a very good idea to be aware of these kind of things and the, the impact that certain people and the people in they your life have on you.
Matty:Absolutely, I think that's a good moment to move on.
Emily:I put this one next to it because I, I feel like it's, they're really interesting and sometimes people can think that they're very similar when they aren't.
Matty:Oh, totally. Then the next one that Emily's mentioning is physical empathy. And the thing about physical empathy is that you are experiencing within your own physical body. You can be experiencing the physical state of others within your body. You could be experiencing what would be their physical state from their emotions within your body. So it can get a little tricky because you're not necessarily processing their emotions through your own heart chakra. But if they are having a physical reaction to their emotions within their body, especially if they're denying it, you are going to pick up big time on this. And I am a physical empath myself. And something that can come up is, let's say you're out to dinner. The server that comes up to the table to say hello is new and they're really anxious because they're new and you're just chilling and you're out and you're just having a good time. You have no idea that they're nervous and, you know, holding that back and they're being friendly as they can, but. You know, they've got all this anxiety and nervousness underneath there and, you know, maybe their, their foot's tapping nervously while they're next to you. And the next thing you know, your knee starts tapping really nervously and you have no idea. Like you're feeling this nervousness and you're tapping and you can feel anxiety in your body. And you're like, I'm out here with like someone that I adore and this is goofy. And we were just giggling and now I'm feeling anxiety like, what's going on? You have no idea what's happening. It could be something this simple like.
Emily:Yeah, like sweaty palms and Oh, absolutely. Like beating heart, like just racing, heart racing thoughts. Like these types of things can literally like be experienced within a physical empaths body and it's like literally outta nowhere.
Matty:You're just literally picking up the physical sensations that they're going through within their physical body. But you have no, unless you can see that happening within them, or they tell you and you're like, oh yeah, I'm feeling that within my own body too. This can turn into, like often physical empaths can pick up like aches and pains and headaches that will come and go when you're around others. So it can be very weird if you don't understand that you're a physical empath and you can pick up the physical sensations from other people's bodies. What's going on within them when you're near them? Just like an emotional empath can get overwhelmed processing others' emotions and not understanding that they're processing someone else's stuff. The same thing can happen to a physical empath. If you don't realize, oh, you know what? I'm a physical empath, that back ache, that headache, that could be someone else. Let me just take a chill pill. Don't make this more than it is. Let me breathe through this and I'll navigate and move on, clear my energy and we'll see where it's at. Maybe it's me, maybe it's not. But just knowing, having awareness, and we've talked about this a lot through many, many, many episodes. That awareness in and of itself can alleviate a lot of overwhelm, a lot of stress, a lot of trying to figure things out because we understand, let me just take a breath. Let's see where I'm at. It could be X, y, or Z. I don't need to blow this outta proportion yet. There's no need to worry. And physical empathy is definitely that way.
Emily:Yeah. So awareness and energy clearing is super important. And just to recap a little bit, the difference between an emotional empath and a physical empath is like if we take that. The server that Matty was talking about, the emotional empath will feel the anxiety. They will start to feel very anxious and still may feel the physical symptoms, but they will literally feel the anxiety first, whereas the physical empath will feel the physical symptoms first. They'll feel the racing heart. They'll feel the sweaty palms, they'll feel that energy running through the body, like just being unsettled, the restlessness. So that is the biggest difference between the emotional empath and the physical empath. And it actually kind of reminds me of a client. We did a Soul Journey Akashic record reading for her, and she was blown away when she found out, when she read about being a physical empath. And she said, you know, I, I go to church every Sunday. And I wanna be a good Christian and they tell us that we should pray for people, but like every time I pray for people, I, I start to just feel terrible. It's like I feel, I actually like, feel what they're feeling and I, and I look around and I'm like, how can all these people do this for these other people? I don't get it. And so it was just kind of that awareness really helped her to know, okay, this is something that not everyone experiences. You know, everyone that prays for everyone else is in constantly having the back ache and the headache or the symptoms of the illnesses of the people that they're praying for. And so this awareness, you know, helped her be able to pray for people without feeling that physical pain as well. So that really helped her and really helped expand her mind a bit.
Matty:Yeah, that was a super interesting case. I'm glad you mentioned that. That was rather cool for her to connect prayer to her physical empathy and what she was doing for others. And then to be able to still continue to do so. It didn't create fear, that awareness created empowerment. Oh, now I don't have to take this on. Now I know where it's coming from. Now I can separate myself from it and still pray for their healing, for their blessings for the good, you know, to help them and their life as well.
Emily:Yeah. So I feel like, uh, emotional empathy and physical empathy are often, you know, kind of seen as similar. Like Matty and I for the longest time, were like, oh yeah, we definitely have the same empathic gifts. But they always seemed a little bit different because with both of those, you would say, I feel other people, whether you're feeling the physical symptoms or you're feeling their emotions, you are still feeling other people. And so it took us, you know, until we got our Akashic record readings and started working in the Akashic records, really understanding the difference between those two. And then, now we're able to recognize that about ourselves.
Matty:Absolutely. We really, I was gonna say, we really wanted to dive deep with emotional empathy and physical empathy. And, uh, we'll move a little quicker through these next ones, but let's jump into. Yeah, place empathy.
Emily:Which this is also one of Matty's gifts.
Matty:This is one of my gifts as well. You're sensing the, the energy of a place of building a home, but the energy of living beings that have been within these places, over and over again. The energy just seeps into the walls, to the ceilings, to the foundation, and the energy becomes a part of this place. And that's the energy that you sense. It's the energy of the people that have been inhabiting that home, that family that lived there for 60 years. Or the conglomeration of let's say, especially places that we can agree that, you know, a funeral home, a cemetery, a hospital, like these places all kind of have a, their own vibe, their own energy. Mostly cemeteries are gonna be grief, sorrow, a funeral home, same way. Hospitals, you're dealing with illness and tragedy and traumas. But for the most part, think of places that you're like, yeah, that I get that, that energy would be that way. And I'm talking about obvious things. Now, be a place empath and walk in and, you're just going to get your morning coffee and a biscuit or a donut or a whatever at a certain place.
Emily:Mm-hmm. I like that you said biscuit.
Matty:Yeah, definitely. Aww, biscuits are, they should be right up there with donuts. Some good stuff. Imagine being a place empath and rolling into a place of business, like I'm talking about, you know, you're getting your coffee and a biscuit in the morning or whatever your routine would be. Let's say, what are the normal, like average everyday customers rolling through this business? Because that residual energy is gonna build into this place and it's gonna have a vibe. If you go to let, let's say you like to go out dancing. And there's a club that's known for bringing in live bands and jam band music and stuff. And you know, a different club that brings in like house music and a different club that brings in, you know, jazz, jazz. And then one for like heavy metal, death metal. I mean, can you imagine the residuals of multiple nights a week with similar bands rolling through these different clubs, that they're not gonna have their own unique feel as a place empath. You could walk in and immediately just know the clientele that visits this place, the music, the energy, the vibes is this. Any one of those places, the music, the vibes could be high and the, and the crowd could be loving it, but the vibe of the people that come through and stuff, it's just starts to be part of a place. That's all I can really say about it. You just, you just know, you just get a vibe. You just got a gut check instinct thing, and you just feel the vibes of places. But what you're really feeling is the residual energies of the people or the animals or whoever, the living beans rolling through these places. One of the cool things about place empath, because pretty much all empathy gifts are about your aura being within the auric range of another person or an animal or the environment or the place that you're within. But there is this unique thing about place empathy, where you can look at like a picture and even just a picture of somebody you can look into their eyes and like the eyes are kind of the windows of the soul. So through a picture you could read somebody's energy, but with the same thing with a place, you can look at a place and somehow that energy can get captured in that picture. You may not be within an auric range of that place, but this picture you're looking at is within your aura and you can pick up on the energy of something you're not even in. So kind of through dimensions of time and space. You can check out the vibe of something by just looking at a picture and then viewing that energy through then and tap into it as well. I always find that pretty cool that you don't, I don't necessarily have to walk into that place. I can see a picture and just know. Hey, you know, we're thinking about these three places to go, and then we are looking at pictures of places, and I'll just be like that one. Oh, that one right there. That's where I wanna be. I just know. So I think that's really something cool about place sympathy. Is there anything you want to add? I know I kind of hopped in and just kind of hogged the space on place sympathy, but.
Emily:Um, I guess the only thing that I would really add about it is I feel like you're, this part of your empathy really developed when you were working in the Akashic Records doing past life research. It was like you were literally like putting yourselves into the, these different places and you know, it really had an effect on you and you really were able to sense the vibes and really get a good sense of where the people were while you were doing the past life research. Would you agree with that?
Matty:Especially combined with the physical empathy. Sometimes I could feel like I was in the physicality of another, within a past life moment. But often the place empathy was like being a fly on the wall. I was just observing. My energy was somewhere in that room of this thing, this experience, this circumstance, this situation that was unfolding that I needed to record for posterity and then type up to give to our client. You're right. That really did kick in hardcore for me, and between the two, I had this sense of like what was going on within them, but at the same time reading the like whole of the place, you know? And knowing that like, oh my God, that was a horrible decision they had to make because the pressure was from here and the energy was over there that this is what had to happen. I'm thinking of one scenario in general from the Revolutionary War. I won't dive into super tremendous aspects, but this, this one soul was put into a horrible decision to make, but the pressure coming from the higher ups and what they know that they needed to happen, it wasn't morally right. But they went and did this anyway and created their own karma to work off later. But what they did actually tipped the scales of a major battle that took place in the Revolutionary War. And how they kind of, underhanded some things, but it, it really just made it so the soon to be Americans came out on top of a certain battle. I'll leave it there. I, I don't want to dive into the, the horrific specifics of it, but it was weird.
Emily:That one really affected you.
Matty:That I came out like crying and, and the little traumatized for a moment before I cleared my energy again and stuff. But yeah, the home was crazy because I crazy was reading that energy and then reading their own, but you're right, the doing a lot of that past life research, really my, my place, empathy, like kicked into, into a whole new level of I, I think discernment and being able to work through the layers of certain things, you know, and like timeframes. Because sometimes the place, like the vibe changes over generations. Where it was kind of one way and now it's something else and stuff. Yeah.
Emily:Yeah. We definitely saw that in Asheville for sure.
Matty:Yeah, we did in Asheville.
Emily:Or I mean, I'm sure you see that in any place that you are extendedly. So let's move on. Yeah. I find this next one really interesting. It is spiritual empathy, being a spiritual empath. And so spiritual empaths absorb and process other energies spiritually through their crown chakra. Spiritual empaths typically have active upper chakras, and they just have this greater understanding of the world and other people. And they just intuitively understand others on a soul level by sensing this person's like soul level desires and values. They just look into someone's eyes, 'cause that's typically how it's activated. When they look into someone's eyes, they can literally like see their soul self. And so this ability allows them to just understand how that person experiences, like how their soul experiences human life. What's tricky about spiritual empathy is that oftentimes you'll see that the spiritual empaths will be in relationships with people because they are basically wishing for their potential. It's like they can see their potential, but yet that is not exactly the human that they are right here and right now. And so they have trouble being able to move on out of that because they see that potential. They see how amazing that person soul is. I mean, we all have really amazing souls and on a soul level, we're just all so talented and so unique and so vibrant. But yet that human may or may not be that way in this life. And so oftentimes, you know, spiritual empaths, it's a, it's a slippery slope. It's tricky for them because they can see that potential. They understand where that person could, where they could just take off in life and become this amazing self. And so oftentimes they kind of get stuck in that. They get stuck in relationships or they have trouble moving on because they, they see that potential.
Matty:I couldn't have said that any better myself. You're literally seeing the potential and not the reality of what they're living up to or not up to. And no right or wrong, we're all on our path. We're just experiencing life. We're growing from our experiences. It's called experiential knowledge. We're all divine energy, we're all unique aspects of the creator here having a human experience. But we're conditioned by the human experience, and we're not all, I mean, no one's truly fully embodying their soul a hundred percent. But spiritual empaths can see what that would be like.
Emily:Yeah, just learn to recognize, recognize the human before you. And try and it's not even fair to date or love only someone's potential. That's not fair to them. In order to be a relationship with someone, you know, you have to try to accept all parts of them.
Matty:Wow, yeah, babe, that's, it is unfair. If you're dating someone's potential, then you're not really dating them.
Emily:Yeah.
Matty:And how can they live up to that potential if
Emily:you're dating an idea?
Matty:If you're dating, yeah some ideal of them versus actually dating them. Wow. All right, let's move on.
Emily:Yeah. This next one's cool.
Matty:You should take this. You're, yeah, you know this well.
Emily:So the next one is psychological empathy or being a psychological empath. And so a psychological empath is able to gain insight into the minds and thoughts and judgements of others. And they can just energetically connect with others and perceive the inner workings of a person's mind. And so they often are very good teachers because they are very interested in thought processes and how people reach specific conclusions. And so you can see how a great teacher, they're, you know, they're interested, they wanna know like, what is the best way to help this person get this point or understand this concept. And so they're very interested in the, the inner workings, the motivations. Just how people work, what makes them tick, like how their brains work. And so it's very interesting and because of this, they are able to see and understand many different perspectives on many different levels because they understand how different people are and how different their minds work. So it's a really cool gift and it's very interesting and I mean, it just kind of gives you this excitement. I mean, this is one of my, uh, gifts as well. It just, I'm just so interested. It's like, you know, I'm not even interested in what you did. I'm more interested in why, like, what caused you to do that? What were you thinking or surrounding that action or just, you know, how does your mind work? Like what makes you tick? What, what gives you hope? What gives you, what are your fears? I. You know, all those cool things about being a human. I just find it very fascinating.
Matty:I love watching you like, talk to somebody and they, they have no idea what's coming. And I, and I know because you just seem to get underneath.
Emily:Well, I don't even know what's coming, the thought
Matty:patterns and stuff. Well, I, I don't know what's coming, but I, I know the energy and how you work and. Somebody's telling you about something and the next thing I know you're, I can just see it in your mind. And then you just ask one question and then their mind is like, oh. And then they'll answer that question, and then you ask another and they answer it and you ask another and they answer it. The next thing you know, they're like, what the fuck just happened? I know exactly where I'm headed now. Like it's just kind of mind boggling to watch that unfold, you know, with friends or clients. How you just love to get in there and, well, if you're saying this and you love this and you've pointed that out before, so blah, blah, blah, and the next thing you know it's just like puzzle pieces are put together and how you love to just get in those inner workings of the mind. It's super cool. You've helped me figure out so much in my life and accelerated my own knowing of myself and being able to deep dive within and no longer feared looking under the rocks and seeing what's there and like what's in that shadow. Let's turn that corner within my own psyche.'cause it, it can be a fun exploration. You've showed me that.
Emily:Yeah. Aw, thanks babe.
Matty:Yeah, totally. Thank you. So let's move on.
Emily:Yeah.
Matty:All right y'all, let's talk about environmental empathy. Environmental empaths can connect with Mother nature and the environment and landscapes on a conscious level. Environmental empaths perceive the inherent power and consciousness of the environment they're within. It is freaking cool to be chilling in mother nature and not just, oh, that's pretty, that's what's going on. But to. Like connect consciously with the trees and the breeze blowing through them and how happy they are that the birds s singing a song in there. Or the rock, having the sun set, kiss it with its last little bit of warmth and like connecting consciously with what's happening on a grand scale is beautiful. It really can put oneself into perspective of, yes, we are this divine spark having a human experience, but we are just this one little bitty human on this massive planet called Earth.
Emily:Yeah, magical planet.
Matty:Like it is wild to open, oneself up to connect with the environment that we are in and just be. To consciously be us, to consciously let nature be nature, and then to also join together and see what energy we create. By consciously being one with nature, with what's happening in our environment. It is wild and beautiful experience to allow the rocks and the trees and the water and the sunlight and everything else to be its own divine creation. Its own divine consciousness, energy. That it's not just us at the some top of some food chain. We're just a part of it all because we're all born of the same energy. We just don't always recognize that we are a part of it. We're just unique aspects of it. And when you can shed that and just be one with the environment, it opens up to, I mean, for me personally, to some really beautiful experiences. And something else that can come about, you know, from true environmental empaths is there could be trepidation or unease that you feel long before a natural disaster happens. And that even coming in afterwards can be deeply affected by destruction to the environment. To rolling down the road and seeing where a forest fire happened even years before, and it's trying to recover. Yeah, it can really hit deep within that, you know, that this,
Emily:or like what's happening in the rainforests or the logging. Like all of those things or environments are just being completely devastated. So not even natural disasters, I mean human disasters as well.
Matty:Yeah, absolutely. And I, I mean, recently, our old home of 20 years, this past fall, like six months ago. The hurricane Helene and the floods in western North Carolina and eastern Tennessee, but our old hometown of Asheville and the surrounding communities got hit really hard. A lot of that area did. And yes, we talked to friends and connected in that way, but just even seeing the images of what had happened and stuff was,
Emily:it's heartbreaking.
Matty:Yeah. It hit deep. On many levels. But just connecting to the environment through photos and pictures, it was, it was heartbreaking to know that, that that had happened just on an environmental level. Without even taking into consideration, you know, what had happened on a human level and what our friends and family were going through and how lives were upended and just on so many different levels. But just speaking to the environmental level. You know, just knowing what had happened and seeing it, it was, it just deeply affected, is the way to put that. Something else that environmental empaths could be experiencing is like a sensitivity to changes in the electromagnetic fields of Mother Earth and the sun. It sends all this beautiful energy that the earth creates photosynthesis with. Experiencing these differences within the electromagnetic fields, depending on the energy that's coming through, can actually trigger emotional and physical reactions. The SolarWinds creating different magnetics and Schumann resonances changes like environmental empaths are going to experience these things in a much grander, or, I don't know if grander is the right word, but just it's going to hit them harder than somebody that doesn't have the gift of environmental empathy. So if you're someone that you find you're sensitive to, full moons, or the Schumann resonance, you know, changing or solar flares. And do you actually feel like you're emotionally or having physical reactions to this, it could be because you're an environmental empath.
Emily:Yeah.
Matty:All right. Let's move on to our little, our little furry friends.
Emily:Yeah. These, uh, next three are very interesting because they allow you to connect with different and interesting things. So the first one is a animal empathy. And so of course this would give you the connection to animals. An animal empath is able to understand the consciousness of an animal, including its fears, its reactions, and its emotions. It's able to just kind of tap into that animal and know exactly. You know what it needs, how it's feeling, how to help it and soothe it. And so it's very interesting and oftentimes, you know, an animal empath may be connected to just one particular species. You know, it's really rare to be able to just understand every single animal that there is, but just it gives them this overview and this connection with animals. And so of course because of this, you know, places where animals experience a lot of negative emotions such as like a slaughterhouse or those places where the chickens are just on top of each other and you know, they're just treated like some sort of dollar bill and not really like an animal. You know, these can have a really negative emotional effect on animal emapths.
Matty:Yeah. Commercial farming of animals versus like free range farming and homesteading could, I'm sure an animal empath and probably many humans just in general walking to those two different environments of how animals are being treated would have a reaction. But as an animal empath to be taking on the emotions of the animals around you, it would probably be very hard to be in a, a commercial animal farm situation or something. I, I can imagine, animal empaths are gonna be really sensitive to proteins they eat. You may even naturally have gravitated towards being vegetarian and finding protein sources in other ways. Or making sure that your protein sources are coming from free range farms, where the animals got to actually live a life. And then in their death, they also became part of the food chain for us versus being packed in on top of each other and experiencing overcrowded ness or fears or anxieties as animals and like this kind of energy could get passed on. And an animal empath could be especially sensitive to something like that.
Emily:Yeah.
Matty:But you know, you are also connected with our fur friends.
Emily:Well, not just fur.
Matty:Well, okay. Could be feather friends. Could be it could be scaly friends,
Emily:elephants. It could be giraffes. Yeah. I guess they have a little bit of fur. There's so many animals and if you're an animal empath and you are connected to one particular species. You know, there's just so many to connect with. It's, it's so interesting, and this could be exactly why some people have certain callings to really unique animals. You know, really unique species and be able to help them and, and help rehabilitate them and work with them in zoos and those types of things. So I can imagine like an animal empath would definitely be more drawn towards something like that.
Matty:Oh, to some sort of rehabilitation or training or like working in a, some sort of zoo environment and like showing off the magnificence of that animal and, and like helping to educate other people about them. Yeah, totally. A hundred percent could see that.
Emily:Yeah, and so this next one is, you know, similar to an animal empath except it's a plant empath. So a plant empath would connect with the consciousness of certain plants or trees. And just as the animal empath isn't necessarily connected to all species of animals. They are typically connected to one type of plant or tree or species and they just have this certain feel. They just kind of feel into that plant and just knows what it needs or how to help it. I think Matty mentioned, you know, this would be the type of person that walks into a home and wants to like, move around all the different plants. Like, ooh, this one needs to be in this window, or,
Matty:absolutely.
Emily:I don't know. Matty has a really good connection with plants. Definitely. I feel like I,
Matty:this is too much light. This one needs to be turned this way. That soil's too wet. Please don't water it again. Oh, this needs to be watered like twice a week. So not everything gets once a week watering. This one really needs more liquid. Yeah, absolutely. I'm that person and I have to kind of bite my tongue when I'm in someone else's home. Given our life of the last few years and traveling and doing some of the, like home and pet sitting, there's often plant care that comes with it. And some people are very nervous. Ah, you know, there's some plants that need water and then to be taken care of. You know, do you, do you mind? And I'm like, sweet. Love it. Like fur friends and plants. Cool.
Emily:Yeah. And we've taken care of some really cool plants too. Like that place in Florida.
Matty:Oh my God.
Emily:With all the amazing like exotic orchids.
Matty:There were 45 different species of plants and most of them were orchids, just in the lanai.
Emily:Yeah. It was incredible.
Matty:And then there were 20 something different orchids hanging up in the trees underneath the lanai and they all had to be watered on these different schedules and stuff. And like after those two weeks I was like. This is a lot of work, but like this is cool I getting to know these different plants and feel their energies and vibe with them. Yeah.
Emily:That was cool. Yeah. One of their orchids, like actually bloomed while they were away and they were
Matty:the Samurai one.
Emily:Oh yeah. It was called the Samurai Orchid. And they were so excited. We love our puppy and of course we wanna see pictures of her, but will you please, please, please send us pictures of the samurai orchid.
Matty:We think it's about ready to bloom and it might bloom for y'all. And we're like, okay, cool.
Emily:And it hadn't bloomed. It's like one of those orchids that doesn't bloom very often. It doesn't bloom every year and stuff. So I don't think they'd ever seen it's bloom. So it was pretty, pretty incredible. But used to carry
Matty:them with them apparently into battle. Yeah. Like they would, they would take care of them and carry them around. It was part of, I don't know, part of the zen of being a samurai or something. I forget the genome name of it, but I remember it was about the samurai.
Emily:Yeah, yeah. You're and stuff.
Matty:And it was, it was cool. It was cool.
Emily:But all their orchids were so cool. And I mean, we were just taking pictures left and right'cause these exotic orchids were just so incredible. But Matty did amazing. He. I'm so grateful that he has a special connection with plants. I would have to say I definitely connect with the animals more than the plants. But I do love being in the vicinity and being around them and, you know, at least giving love and connecting with them that way. But I may not be able to know what it is that they need. And so we have come upon our last one. and Matty, you should take this one.
Matty:It's crystal, empathy. Crystal empaths can connect with the consciousness of crystals, semi-precious stones, precious stones, minerals, gemstones, what, whatever you want to call them. Rocks just aren't pretty things to look at for you if you're a crystal empath. You actually understand that there is a energy, a vibe, a consciousness within these geological formations that have been here for hundreds of thousands of millions of billions of years. The history that's there, the intelligence that's within these rocks. The vibration, the frequency, a crystal empath is going to be able to connect to these things. As you develop this gift, you're gonna understand the messages and the healing power by holding these different crystals or gems or precious stones and having them within you and holding them within your auric field. Especially if you're already doing some sort of healing work or energy work you're going to become or are just naturally inclined to be adept at using these crystals and gemstones to heal yourself or potentially others. You're just going to know, and with the little research and the little playing around, hey, if I put this gemstone right here on this body, or if I hold this gemstone here and meditate for 10 minutes on this subject, it clears so much and it helps me to transcend this certain issue. You're just going to be able to naturally put these things together. This is the kind of thing you'll do with crystals and rocks and gemstones. You'll just know by holding this and putting this here, lay down and this one on this chakra, and this one on that one. And let's go over this little bit of energy and how to shift it because these are gonna be here to help us shift it. And are you willing to let go and move it? Like a Crystal Empath has this gift. I'm not a crystal empath, but I've experienced some really cool things with certain crystals and gemstones that I have a connection to.
Emily:You don't think you have a special connection with Buddy?
Matty:That's what I'm saying. You're Crystal, but I don't feel like I'm a crystal empath where I, I just connect to them all. But that Lemurian seed quartz Crystal that I call buddy, we be tight. We've had some cool experiences together, meditating.
Emily:Yeah, crystal's very cool. But I'm, I'm sure crystal empathy is similar to plant and animal empathy. You probably connect more with like a certain type of crystal, don't you think?
Matty:I absolutely agree. I, I do think that I personally connect with quartz and amethyst.
Emily:I mean, buddy literally called out to you and you had to get someone to go to the back office to look for it.
Matty:Okay, so I'm in Asheville. I would say this is 2005, 2006 timeframe. I am living four miles. There was a gem shop I loved. I used to take my Beagle and I and we'd go walk around downtown and just hang out and meet people and stuff. I knew one day, like I could feel this urge to just go downtown and go to Cornerstone Gems on Lexington Ave and I did. And I walked into that shop and I've got Lilu on a leash and we're just looking around and I'm just like, okay, something's calling to me. And I'm all about that shop and I can't figure it out. There's so many cool things in that store. There's $3 pieces and$30,000 pieces in that store. Gems and crystals and fossils and all sorts of crazy cool, you know, dinosaur bones and stuff like wild, wildly cool store. And I finally go up to the person, they've asked a couple times, you know, can I help you find anything? I said, you know, I've told you I'm looking around, but specifically something's calling to me. That's why I'm in the shop today. And the owner wasn't there, and he and I were, could strike up a conversation quick. And we weren't friends, but we were definitely buddies because he was way into what he did, and that's obviously why he had his shop. But we would geek out together. And I just looked at her and I was just like, there's a crystal calling to me. I know it's here, but I can't find it in the store. Do you have any crystals about this size? I would say buddy's like 8, 7, 8 inches, you know, so I'm holding my hands out. I'm telling this person like, you know, maybe two to four pounds, like something you'd sit and meditate with. Can you call Brandon if you don't know, like he might know. I just, it's here, but it's not out here. And so this person gets on the phone and they're, they're calling Brandon the owner of the shop, and they're just like, yeah, this guy's here. He's nice. He's a little weird. He's telling me there's a crystal calling to him and he doesn't know where it's at. He's kind of described it, do we have anything like, and then she describes it and the next thing I can hear her saying is, oh, there, there's a box. You just brought a few in, but you haven't put 'em out. Yeah. O okay. And so she takes the cordless phone and with her to the other room in, in the back, and then she comes out with this box and sets it down. And she's like, okay, I'll show him these three pieces. Uh, okay. Yeah. And she hangs up and she's like, so Brandon says this box. And she's like, honestly, I thought I was really weird that you were telling me it was calling to you. And I was trying to be as polite as I could without trying to like blow you off. But you're literally like, are you looking for these? And, and I just grabbed one. I was like, oh my God, that's it. This is it. This is what's calling the, and the crystal's like, yay. As I had it in my hands and I was like, cool. Can you call Brandon and find out how much? So she picks up the phone and calls brandon, gets a price. I whip out some cash and I brought like an extra 50 bucks more than what he wanted for it or something. Like, I almost nailed the, the price that you know is cash in my pocket. I leave, hang out, meditate like crazy. Brandon's outta town. I come back in with a crystal that I call Buddy at this point and Lilu, the Beagle, and I'm like, dude, what's up? And I've got Buddy in my hand and this and that and I'm, we're laughing about this story and I'm like, this is what I got from you. I was like, do you even know? And he picks up buddy and he goes. No fucking way. I would've never sold you this crystal. There's no way in hell do you look at this manifestation, this crystal, inside the crystal. I would've never sold this to you. And I'm like, to be fair, the manifestation didn't appear until I took it home and we meditated that night, and then it appeared. This phantom manifestation on the inside. If you're a rock hound and into quartz crystals, you'll understand what I'm saying. But it's basically a crystal that appears with inside a crystal. There's no definition of lines or anything. It's just looks like a ghost crystal with inside your crystal.
Emily:Yeah. That's crazy. And it like shoots rainbows and stuff through it. It's, it's crazy.
Matty:And you know, he's like cussing at me in a playful way that he would've never sold this to me. And I'm like, you wouldn't have known that that was there. It didn't come until after we meditated together. But I just wanted you to see what I got. I didn't want to create this whole thing. And then, you know, we had a big laugh and hugged about it, you know, and he was like, I still got a couple other cool things to sell people. I'm glad you have this. At least you have it, you know, Aw and stuff. So thanks for bringing that up. I, I do have a knack for the quartz crystals.
Emily:Yeah. Especially that one. Well, I feel like that's a good story to end on.
Matty:Yeah,
Emily:it's a fun story.
Matty:For sure.
Emily:I like hearing it.
Matty:So if you can't tell by what we're laying down here with empathic abilities, this is another great way to be able to jive and vibe with your environment and to navigate your life in a different way. Empower yourself to understand how you process different energies. Most of us have some sort of empathic ability, not everybody. This is why it's one of the things that we go over in our
course Akashic Attunement:A journey to intuitive mastery. And if you get a soul journey Akashic reading, we go over your strongest intuitive gifts and your empathic abilities, because we think it's huge to know what your strengths are in your life. To lean into them. To empower yourself, to process and navigate your world smoother and better because you're more aware. So we really wanted to do this episode today to dive into empathic abilities. In case any of them are jiving with you, whether you get a reading from us or someone else or whatever, you might be gifted with one of these empathy abilities. Or more. Or more, and you can know yourself better.
Emily:Yeah, it's just another way to understand how your energy reacts with the rest of the world.
Matty:Plus we get to talk about empathy and all these cool abilities.
Emily:Well, thanks so much for joining us everyone. We really appreciate you, and are so grateful for our listeners, and we just have so much fun doing this.
Matty:If you have any questions or want to share a cool empathy story of your own, I'll put the email in the show description like I do every week. Hit us up and let us know what's going on in your world. Until next week, take care much. Love y'all.
