Before we understood this framework, we felt like there was no engagement. We felt like we weren't getting in front of the right people with our offers, and we want you to know that you are not alone in feeling that way too.
Speaker 1:Hey there friends. Welcome to the Intuitive Marketing Podcast, where we ditch the bro-marketing BS and bring you big sister vibes instead.
Speaker 2:I'm Meg and this is Chelsea, your new biz besties. We met on TikTok in 2023. Fast forward to now, and we have teamed up here to but you have a big vision of where your coaching, healing, speaking or writing career could be in the next five years, ten years Don't worry, we've got your back. We'll help you tap into your intuition, build a brand that lights you up, and leverage proven marketing strategies to grow towards a six or even seven-figure business in a way that won't make you cringe.
Speaker 1:We're actually here to help you bring the magic back into your marketing.
Speaker 2:Because marketing should feel good, not gross.
Speaker 1:Grab your favorite drink, get comfy and let's get started. So many clients come to us saying I'm doing the work, I'm putting out content, I'm talking about my offers, but what we find is, when we dig a little deeper, that one or more of the steps in this framework that we've put together today will be shaky. Right, it just feels like maybe they tried to skip a step, maybe there's resistance, or they're like, oh yeah, I don't need that. And as we get deeper in with a client, we can help them focus on where they need to be putting their energy to put the pieces together in an order that's going to make sense. And I think so many people talk about sustainability, right, and so allowing marketing to work for you and not drain you, I think it's really important, regardless of where you're at in your business, to come back and listen to this, maybe even take some notes, because we showed up to record this episode not knowing we were going to create this framework and we just were like, wow, this is really fucking potent.
Speaker 2:This is going to help a lot of people, yeah, so get your notebook out.
Speaker 1:Definitely get your notebook out and we're going to talk first about creating demand, because you can be posting all of the things. But you know that you watch some of the people that you follow and they put out an offer and you're like, oh, I feel like I need to pull out my credit card. I didn't plan on spending money today and how did they do that and how can you be doing that? And, honestly, this is what I struggle with. I'm a very left-brained buyer and sometimes I forget to speak to the rest of the population, and so we're going to have Meg intro the concept of demand and then we'll jump into the framework that we believe will help you get there.
Speaker 2:Yeah, so creating demand is different than just being visible. So we have people who come to us and they say I am consistent, I'm showing my face, I'm doing these videos, but how do you create demand so you can be visible and not have that demand? You can put an offer out there and be posting all the time and have no one sign up. So that's not what we want. We want you to be able to put out an offer and have your raving fans sign up on day one and you just feel so supported in that. So creating demand is really about becoming clear on what you offer and being really clear on how you're going to help your people and what transformation they're going to get with whatever offer it is. The offer might be a one-on-one, it might be a group program, but you want to get them really excited and to understand that you are the right choice in helping them get to where they want to be.
Speaker 1:And that you make it sound so easy. I'm like great, let's do that.
Speaker 2:It's a simple concept. That's not always easy. So that's what I like to tell people, because we are going to show you this framework and you're going to say, OK, that's simple. Right, these are very simple concepts, but there's so much subconscious programming, different things that have happened throughout our lives that make it feel not easy.
Speaker 1:But when you're in.
Speaker 2:yeah, and that's why we have our community as well, because when you're in community with other people that get that and they understand it helps. You feel like the concepts are more normalized, so we can say okay get really clear on this. But if you're being held back somewhere, you're going to have a chance to talk with other people who are saying I feel that way too, and sometimes that is all you need for expansion.
Speaker 2:You need to know I'm not alone and there's other people like me, and that then helps you expand into the next step.
Speaker 1:That's so true, and I think that part of having a framework is also helpful to see. You might be a manifesting generator in human design or just a more impulsive personality, and maybe you skip some of these steps, like you could be a more advanced business owner and still get a ton of value out of really sitting and looking at this framework, because sometimes we get a comeback, even just with a fresh set of eyes or a new level of clarity, or constantly evolving. Maybe your brand is shifting, maybe your offer is shifting, and so, whether you're new and this would be like setting the foundation from the ground up or if you're like swooping back to clear up the details, I think the way that we've laid this out is it's just very step by step.
Speaker 2:So if you're feeling, shaky on any of them you're not wrong?
Speaker 1:Yeah, so we'll lay this out. If you are a note taker like me, this is. So we've laid this out as five steps, and so you can picture this as a little winding path, walking through a garden path, right, and you want to go in the right order so that you're going to end up where you want to be, and so we call this the intuitive marketing framework. I'm going to cover framework step number one being clarity. Now, clarity is understanding, being clear on your offers, being clear on your audience, learning how to build excitement around what you're doing, how to build excitement around what you're doing, how to translate that into how you're speaking about things. So this could be designing your offers, designing your containers, designing your packages right, you want to be clear about what you're inviting people to, maybe the title. I feel like there's been so many clients that I've worked with that, just helping them say in their own voice what their title is. I am an energy healer, I am a menopause coach, I am a blank. So many of us hold ourselves back, and so even just getting clear on that can unlock things and like a new level. And also this is my area getting clear on the software, the systems, how you actually run your business. I'm going to be covering this in a solo episode in the very near future.
Speaker 1:But the clarity I feel like in a lot of marketing programs, this is where the teacher, the guru, would be forcing you to niche, and a lot of us, in more of the intuitive space, really shy away from niching. And if you're not familiar with the term niching, it's like getting so laser focused on I help. I remember being in a program where someone was giving an example of an account that only helped women from South Africa who had suffered from diastasis recti, which is like when your abs separate after pregnancy, and she had not niched down and then she did and her account blew up and they attributed to that. But most of us do not want to narrow, narrow to such a specific scope because, especially if you're a coach or a healer, you're a thought leader. You know that you could impact so many different types of people and so you don't want to exclude and limit your impact.
Speaker 1:And so we're not telling you in this clarity step that you have to get clear to the point of being bored. I get bored when I think about niching too much, yeah, but it's more about choosing which pieces you can get clear on or that you feel excited to get clear on. One of my mantras in business is that the clearer it gets, the clearer it gets, and so whatever it is that you can get clear on typically will then unlock the next thing that feels fuzzy Once you're like oh, now I know my title, oh, now that I'm calling myself a intuitive energy healer, now thinking about my audience is so much easier, and so this phase of clarity for everybody might look a little bit different based on what's clear now, but I would say the big ones are offer like offer suite, what you call yourself, and then how you're actually running the business for people on the backend to step in and work with you.
Speaker 2:It's so important and it is. It's essentially the key that's going to unlock the next step in the framework too, and that is embodiment. So the more you are clear on what you're offering or what you're, who you're serving, how you're doing it, that can then lead to, that leads you to embodying the transformation that you're going to be able to provide them. So you people get a little bit caught up in showing the embodiment and they get nervous about that because they think that it's boring to people. But that's, people really like the boring stuff.
Speaker 1:We all like to be nosy really like the boring stuff.
Speaker 2:We all like to be nosy. We want to see. We want to take a peek in the window of your house to see how you're, how you're cooking dinner for your kids or how you're doing this and that. So that's what I like to. That's how I like to show people to do it through their stories on Instagram. So showing people how you are embodied in what you are doing, the example that you gave. So say, you're an intuitive Reiki master and you teach people. You teach them how to become Reiki masters. You also provide one-on-one healing sessions. Start showing how you're embodied in that. How are you living by the tenets of Reiki during the week? What part are you meditating and journaling on? Like when people see that you are selling without selling For our people, who are really adverse to selling this embodiment piece, and then learning how to showcase that?
Speaker 2:on social media or in your emails helps you sell and then and leads you through the framework. But what? It's a way that you're also teaching about. So you're all offering value too. So if you're showing how you are embodied in something, if you're a fitness instructor and you're showing your workouts like you're also giving value and that then leads to that no interest in marketing for people to do right. Um, the other thing is, too is like many of our people are creating a personal brand. They're not like.
Speaker 2:The way that I look at it is, if you are creating an enterprise or a personal brand, an enterprise would be a business that you're looking to exit one day. You're looking to sell it. So maybe, if that's a product based business or not, that's not usually who comes to us. People who come to us are usually personal brands and they want to keep this personal brand for their lifetime.
Speaker 2:So whether or not you're going to go back to corporate one day, even like your personal brand, is what's going to help you be able to pivot. It's going to if you wanted to go back to corporate. It's going to help you get your job because it's going to show your thought leadership. It's going to show all the things that you've done throughout your career. So when you are a personal brand, the embodiment piece is so important because you can sell a product on the way that it looks, on the different things that it provides you, the features right. So the embodiment is the features of your work and also energetically people can feel if you are embodied in that work. So if, say, you are a coach for people who have been in narcissistic relationships and and most likely you got into that because you were in a relationship of that sort.
Speaker 2:So if you are not embodied in that, if you're still say you're still maybe in a narcissistic marriage and you're trying to show something you're not embodied in, the people can feel it so. The embodiment piece is the gift that entrepreneurship leads you to because it's asking you to do some of that personal work and healing, potentially so that you can really show up and fully serve your people.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and we were debating is this step number two, does it come later? We were like no, it is number two Because you get clear and then, unless for some reason, you're a coach in a topic that you haven't lived through which can happen it can happen healing, speaking, writing about things that you've lived through or just about methods that you believe can be woven into your day, even if you're just doing not just, but if you are a maybe a tarot reader and you're creating a personal brand around how you show up in tarot or doing readings. Give us a story or give us a reel about your reading for yourself. Are you using this to your own benefit?
Speaker 2:Yeah. So if you're a tar tower reader who never pulled cards for themselves or never, then that's going to be hard to translate into a digital brand, because what are you going to show them, right, yes, it can happen, but what I think it's so much harder realize how entertaining those boring, quote-unquote, boring parts of being embodied in something really are. It really is entertaining to people. People want that consistency of seeing how you're embodied in the work.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and so then, framework step number three is magnetism. So that person who's launching something that you're like oh my gosh, gosh, I'm going to run to get my credit card like they have drawn you in to the clarity, to how they're embodying something, how they're demonstrating that something works. And so many people that come to us think they need to lead with details, with features, with expertise, almost from this energy of proving that you are capable, certified, trained, and I think, especially, a lot of our clients are recovering or maybe still people pleasers, maybe in a corporate job or left a corporate job where you had to be like at the top of your field, right, and so you can weave some of that in every once in a while. I weave in that I'm a former lawyer, because I think it set me apart from people who just took a random business coaching course or something, but it doesn't necessarily create demand. I feel like it creates credibility, which is helpful for differentiating, but if you lean too much on that, you're not creating demand. It's the energy, it's the magnetism, it's the excitement.
Speaker 1:I love when I get messages from people once in a while, especially as a generator. If I'm like super clear, super embodied, I will get messages from people. I don't even really know what you're selling right now, but you just seem really excited. What do you have going on? I want, in that's, a fun conversation to have, and so this clarity piece, like the step number one, leads to confidence.
Speaker 1:Because you're not clear who you're speaking to, you're not clear what your offer is, you're not clear on the transformation. It's very hard to sit in the energy of that offer. That's what I will often do is, once I'm clear, oh, I'm going to be launching. I remember when I was launching my mastermind back in 2022 and it was like I was so excited about the person that I was going to be able to help, because I was so clear with what they were going to be walked through, even though I hadn't made all the modules yet. Like I knew what I was going to deliver and what I was going to be able to transfer to them. And I think sometimes I don't know if you see this, but some of the coaches and healers come to me and it's like I've been burned by other people. I don't want to over-promise.
Speaker 1:I feel like there's people who are good marketers, who are delivering, and then they see the negative stuff that's being said about them and they're like I don't want it to be me and I feel, depending on some of the types of work that you do, a there's FTC regulations around marketing, around what you cannot say, and some of you are in more of the healing space where you cannot say you treat, prevent, diagnose if you're not licensed to do, and so you do want to be cautious. But many of our clients are on like the other end of the spectrum yeah, not wanting to overpromise, not wanting to map out exactly what will happen, because they're like that could happen Right, but I can't guarantee, and so then it's hard to translate into being magnetic. If you're like I have this thing, I have this way of helping people, it might help some people and it might help you, and you're like OK, that's not super convincing.
Speaker 1:No, you can't promise a perfect healing experience if someone works with you for six breathwork sessions. But what can you authentically share that you are excited about? What does it look like to be in session with you? What does it look like to work with you over the course of six sessions, painting the vision, both as the person holding the space, and then you've seen people go through the transformation. So what can you describe as the potentiality?
Speaker 2:And there's a difference in energy of coming forward and saying hi, I have six birthwork sessions that you can come and do with me and in these sessions they're going to be an hour long and you're going to learn how to breathe and you're going to do this, and we list all of these factors that you're going to get for your money, but without overpromising. You can show up and say I am creating something so exciting for you. We are going to work together and we're going to use this tool that has been shown to decrease stress, provide more clarity. You can say it in a way that feels really grounded, that you're not saying you are going to leave here and all your problems are going to be solved.
Speaker 1:Right, there's just.
Speaker 2:I think that's the fear. Yes, yes, like you don't have to overpromise, but instead of just relying on the facts and saying, how can you switch into painting a picture? That is a possibility. Yeah, because that feels a lot more exciting most of the time, and magnetic to people.
Speaker 1:I agree, and I think Meg and I both work with our own human designs and understanding your human design.
Speaker 1:If you've not dove into that, if it doesn't resonate with you, that's cool, but if it does, it can help you unlock the style of magnetism that's best for you. I actually have covered this in the intuitive business community. It's fun for me sometimes when people come to group coaching calls. They're like can you pull up my chart and remind me, like what would be really magnetic about me? I think it's really fun to explore and so if you're just not quite sure what it feels like to be in that energy but it can also be something that you just play with, Like maybe when you just notice you're magnetic about something other than business, oh, how did I get into that energy? Was I clear on that energy? On topics? Maybe it's about parenting or maybe it's about some topic in your life where you're like, oh man, I could just talk about that. How did you get yourself into that state and what was it? That kind of teed that up for you? I feel like magnetism is something you can train yourself on a little bit.
Speaker 2:Definitely and this is also we can do a whole episode about this eventually, but cycle thinking is really important if you are female. I totally know when I am ovulating and when I'm going to-. You did 18 stories today Exactly, and I'm so excited and magnetic and that's where I can look at my calendar and say I'm going to launch something then, because I know it's going to feel so much more supportive than if it was a different time in my cycle, exactly.
Speaker 2:So looking at all of these things is super important, but the fourth step in the framework is repetition, and this is something that people really underestimate. So consistency is part of repetition, like looking at your calendar, creating a content calendar, things like that that we're going to talk about in later episodes. But I want you to understand, like the facts and figures of how to frame repetition, because a lot of people think that they are repeating themselves when they are really not. They're just showing up one time and putting something out there and they're like I talked about it two times. Okay, that's not going to cut it in this day and age. So you have to get consistent. We're going to work towards that, and it doesn't have to be three times a day. You're creating reels, but it has to be something that your audience can count on, and that is actually like penetrating the noise. So it's we on our instagram feed. Only two to three percent of your followers are seeing what you are posting. So if you, I can't do the math, but you have a hundred followers.
Speaker 2:Only a few of them are seeing one time. So you have to post in so many different ways for them to actually even say oh wait, she's selling something, so you also have to take into consideration what kind of buyer they are. Are they an emotional buyer? Are they a facts and figures buyer? What kind of buyer? And then, how can I be consistent in creating content for that buyer? So for the emotional buyer exactly You've got to create before a launch. You've got to create at least 10 emotional posts.
Speaker 2:So you have to create 10 posts that are giving the benefits of the program. That's what we help people create strategy around too, and we're going to give more information about this in podcasts in the future. But you just have to realize that you're not boring. You're really interesting to people. When you are magnetic. People want more from you. They want to hear more.
Speaker 2:So you are going to look at what you need to say and how you can say it in ways that are different, so you don't feel like you're boring yourself, Because I promise you you are going to get to the point where you're like I've said this so many times. How could they have not realized it yet? So, if just for consideration, look at big brands. Nike is always going to talk about sneakers. Right, it's going to be in like 90% of their marketing. Even if they're storytelling, even if they're doing, they're going to say it over and over again and no one's going to say, oh, this is so boring, they're just going to think of new ways to do it.
Speaker 2:So when you are looking at, say, you are launching something in January, you have this big mastermind that's coming. You're so excited about it. I think you should start talking about it now. Maybe not the name of the mastermind. You want to talk about it at least a month ahead. You want to start showing how you are embodied in it. That's part of the repetition Keep showing. If you are selling a mastermind on creating content for healers, let's just go with that. You want to show right now, I want to be showing how I'm creating content Iers let's just go with that. You want to show right now. I want to be showing how I'm creating content. I want to show the backend. I want that repetition. I want somebody to be on the streets and see a content creation calendar and send me a message and say, oh my God, I just saw a content creator. I was in an office and saw their content creation calendar and that made me think of you.
Speaker 1:Yeah, that's true.
Speaker 2:That's what you want, right? You need to be so solid in that personal brand. The other thing is think about how much we're consuming all day. Oh my God, I think about this all the time. Yeah, it's so overwhelming.
Speaker 1:It's overwhelming, I think about it from a kiddo perspective of so much information. Right, but we're adults and we're not designed to consume, to know facts about everything happening everywhere in the world at one time.
Speaker 2:Exactly, it's so much, and 200 years ago people were getting the amount of stimulus in their lifetime that we get in one day. If you think of email pings, text pings, all the work that we're doing, like our brains are really overworked, so we are not the center of people's worlds. They don't know what's going on. They have to see it, hear it, experience it so many times before they purchase from us. Yeah, 30 years ago they told you in marketing that like seven touches was going to get enough to purchase. Like for people to to buy from you, now you need 57 and many, yeah, um. So getting really comfortable in your visibility and in your magnetism is so important so that you can repeat, repeat, and part of the reason why our people don't usually do this is because one, a lot of them, are very left brain and they are so focused on their expertise. And they're also like if you are a former employee, you were taught that you had to prove yourself in order to get hired Right. You had to present your resume.
Speaker 2:Exactly so. We have to shift that mindset to show now you don't have to prove yourself as much. Now it is time to create that magnetism, create that demand, create that excitement, along with showing that you are the expert. And then the people who are more right-brained usually have a limiting belief around showing up and holding the space on a topic long enough, because they think that people are either getting bored, they feel like they're bothering people, they feel like they should know this already. So these are the mindset things that we need to overcome together.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and just a fun little story that I just got a message last night when we're recording this from someone who said I've been following you for two years and I just realized you're a business coach and I'm looking for one and I'm like you've been following me for two years and didn't piece together that I'm a business coach and I could spiral and be like, oh no, I'm not being clear enough and I'm just like cool, I have been posting almost daily for about 12 years that I'm a business coach and it's okay.
Speaker 2:It's also that trust piece I think that we forget. There's like a trust that if we just keep repeating, eventually the right people are going to land at the right time. Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
Speaker 1:And then the framework step number five. We're not going to touch on super deep today because we have other episodes coming up and we can only fit so much juiciness into each episode. But framework step number five is expansion, and so here's where I see a lot of people go wrong is that you start investing either time, energy or money, hiring someone to help you get into expansion before steps one through four are really solid. So really, examples of expansion is starting to get into ads, SEO, collabs, building an affiliate network, building a referral network, bigger visibility, hiring out more and more of your business.
Speaker 1:And if all of the clarity is not there, you're not embodying it, you're not being repetitious, You're personally not magnetic about it. How can you expect someone you hire to get more eyeballs on what you're doing, to feel magnetic about it? And so many people just skip these steps, resist them, and then their content or offers are not converting because it's not complete messaging. If you feel like you are doing all the things, there's just an addiction to trying to go viral these days of oh my gosh, all I need to do. I'm recently certified and all I need to do is learn how to go viral on TikTok so that I can have more eyeballs on what I do, and then it will all be fine. And even if you do happen to go viral but you don't have steps one through four in place, it's going to feel completely overwhelming, dysregulating or not turn into actual business because you're not there.
Speaker 2:That's where I tell people, too, like you might be able to sell like a $27 ebook that way. Oh, that's true, yep, but you can't build a personal brand that way. That's very true. So a lot of coaches are selling you this just get this course set up and then you can have these things running in the background. Yes, and the only way that works is if you are embodied and excited and magnetic about it.
Speaker 2:It does not work on its own, yeah, unless it's a very cheap I don't want to say cheap like low cost, low cost Product, yeah, yeah. So that's really the framework, so steps one through five, yeah yeah.
Speaker 1:So that's really the framework. So steps one through five if we just run through them again. So step number one we're calling clarity, Step number two is embodiment, Step number three, magnetism. Step number four, repetition. And step number five is expansion. And why don't you walk people through? We like to give a little piece of homework or take away. I'm so excited about this.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I love this part because this is when we are talking about intuition and energy there is I haven't found a ton of people that do that and then also give you the actionable right. I want the actionable, too, for our people. So this excite, this like homework really excites me, because we want you to identify which step in the framework you are truly in. So maybe you are really clear, but you can honestly take a look and say you know what? I am not super magnetic in this because I'm scared of showing up on video or whatever it might be. I'm scared of what other people are going to say about me.
Speaker 2:So I want you to go through the framework and really look at okay, check this one off, check this one off. Speaker 1:I know I just got chills just realizing how how much people can complicate this, myself included from time to time. And so if we overcomplicate this and we're not getting results, it takes more energy and, as intuitives, then our energy feels drained. But if we can just decomplicate this is that a word, I don't know Simplify. Simplify, then your energy gets to go to where it's most important, like potently embodying your work. It could be the missing piece of why you're churning out content and it's not improving. What an amazing hack for your own business. And maybe it's just that simple. Yes, we hope that you found this episode of the Intuitive Marketing Podcast as an inspiration to help you bring the magic back into your own marketing.
