Christopher Williams
Christopher is a writer, artist, and lifelong advocate for people doing it tough. Born in Sydney and living with disabilities from an early age, his experiences shaped a deep empathy and drive to help others. His decades of charitable work include co-founding Sir Roden Cutler Charities and leading statewide wheelchair “rolls” to support rural communities during drought and bushfires.
On one of these journeys, the idea for Karey & Kareful was born — imagining the friendship between a kangaroo and a koala brought together by hardship. What began as a whimsical poem evolved into a beloved children’s series and the Karey & Kareful Foundation, dedicated to providing every special needs child in Australia with their own five-book set.
For Christopher, Karey & Kareful is a movement rooted in mateship, inclusion, and the belief that when communities unite, we can change lives and create a legacy worth passing on.
