Rabbi Dr Dovid Slavin
Rabbi Dr. Dovid Slavin is the co-founder and director of Our Big Kitchen (OBK). This non-denominational charity provides meals for those in need and promotes and supports community engagement.
He also serves as the Executive Director of the Sydney Rabbinical College and is a long-serving chaplain for the Ambulance Service of NSW, the first non-Christian to join.
Additionally, Rabbi Slavin is a member of the Cancer Institute of NSW ethics committee and co-founder of Gift of Life Australia, a bone marrow donor registry.
He earned his PhD from the University of Sydney in 2013, focusing on Rabbi Meir Shapiro's educational contributions. Alongside his wife, Laya, he has been instrumental in enhancing community spirit and support.
