In this episode of the Bible In Order Podcast, we walk through Romans chapters 1–3, where Paul introduces himself as a servant called and set apart for the gospel, longs to impart spiritual gifts to the believers in Rome, and reminds us that the gospel is the power of God for salvation—first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. We consider God’s natural order, the danger of pride, the hypocrisy of judging others while committing the same sins, and the sobering reality of God’s wrath against those who suppress the truth. Ultimately, Romans 3 brings us to the level ground at the foot of the cross: all have sinned, and all are justified only by faith in Jesus, not by works of the law. Be encouraged to live by the Spirit, pour yourself out for others, and rest in the finished work of Christ.
