The retro-fit market is a huge opportunity for the construction sector. There are some 26M homes to be retro fitted before 2050, and 15M to be retro-fitted before the end of the decade. This is an opportunity for our industry to support our communities and through the provision of acceptable housing, both in terms of living conditions and in its carbon footprint. The challenges around this programme are many – How do we fund, staff and deliver this much work? How do we design and to what standards? Who sets the boundaries of acceptability and who is responsible for driving this work to be completed?
Rico Wojtulewicz is the Head of Policy and Market Insights at the National Federation of Builders and has been covering this agenda for many years. His insights into what can work and what might flounder make compelling listening as he discusses with Mark the details around the opportunities and risks for companies involved, or gearing up for this work.
Listen to one of the best independent experts on the retro-fit topic and hear how you can help make this programme a success.
