Finnish Project Alliancing and Takt Programming

The €1.1 Bn Laakso Hospital Project in Helsinki is Finland’s largest construction project.  It is run under an Alliance programme where the two clients, main contractor and other key stakeholders have come together to reduce the project risks and ensure success on this key project.  Ossi Inkilä is the Programme Director for the Alliance and the driving force behind many of the best practice techniques that are being used to achieve programme, the cost envelope and the quality thresholds.  

Ossi talks about the inception of the project, the collaboration and selection on culture that exists to create the stakeholders changed with design and delivery.  He talks particularly about Takt Programming that has allowed him and his team to reduce the cost, improve the quality and achieve the original deadline
