The priorities that have guided construction for centuries are changing.  Not only do we have to meet our clients' needs of today, but those needs are likely to change over the life of the building, and our designs and construction need to be aware of these changes.  On top of this, the business environment is changing to reflect a carbon economy and one that values resilience of product.

Prof. Aled Jones is a Professor of Sustainability and a Director of the Global Sustainability Institute.  He has been involved with sustainability policy on the interface between Government and businesses for circa twenty years and he has seen the growth in opportunity and demand over this period.  His insights are worth listening to, as they will affect the way that you run and plan your business and your personal competencies to work in the construction industry.

Listen to hear what is happening at a policy level and how the UK compares around the world.  Listen to understand what changes businesses will need to accommodate.  Listen to learn the role of businesses in changing culture and behaviours within the UK population.
