Welcome to Chalkboard to Kitchen Table with Trish and Eileen!

As parents, it’s easy to see the world through our kids’ emotions but sometimes, perception isn’t reality.

In this week’s episode, we talk about how we can help kids see beyond their feelings and understand what’s really happening underneath. When children learn to look at their feelings differently, they start handling problems with confidence and calm.

 For example:

  • When your child says, “My teacher doesn’t like me,” help them look at the situation; maybe the teacher was just having a tough day.
  • When they say, “No one played with me today,” guide them to think, “Maybe my friends were playing a different game and I can try joining in tomorrow.”
  • When they’re frustrated with homework, remind them that feeling stuck doesn’t mean they can’t do it ... it just means they haven’t figured it out yet.

It’s not about ignoring emotions - it’s about teaching kids to understand and manage them.

Tune in to this week’s episode, ````because perception isn’t always reality but learning to see the difference builds strength, empathy, and truth!

See you at the table!
