Welcome to Chalkboard to Kitchen Table with Trish and Eileen!

In this episode, we talk about an idea that hits close to home for a lot of parents: how much is too much when it comes to sharing our kids online. “Sharenting” can feel harmless after all, it’s often coming from pride, humor, or a desire to stay connected but on this episode we talk about why it’s worth slowing down and thinking about the long-term impact.

Think balance! Not every milestone, meltdown, or funny moment needs an audience. Before posting, it helps to pause and ask: “Is this something my child would be okay with later?” A toddler’s potty-training story or a teenager’s tough moment at school might feel relatable or even funny now, but it could be embarrassing or invasive down the line.

This episode is about respect and awareness. Social media makes it easy to document everything, but our kids don’t get to opt out of what we share about them. Finding that balance means remembering that their digital footprint starts with us and making choices we’ll feel good about years from now, not just in the moment.
