IS EGO A DIRTY WORD? -

 ... Well, it's a fair question as many people believe that it is a dirty word. The mere mention of the word ego all too quickly conjures up in the mind's eye someone who thinks more highly of themselves than they ought to. But is that correct? Is it possible, for example, to have a healthy ego that propels someone to operate from a wholesome self-belief in a positive way? What about the right person who needs a big ego to accomplish a critically important job that very few others can do? Think Winston Churchill rising up to rally the flagging spirits of his nation to unite in opposition to Hitler. Boy oh boy, did he have an ego - but he was the hero that helped save Britain. And is it only men that have an ego, what about women? And what too about ambitions and other compulsions that humans have?
