HOW TO SURVIVE A DOG EAT DOG WORLD

... It's commonly said that there are two things in life that are certain: death and taxes. Keith thinks there is a third, conflict. Which is a pretty good point for nearly all of us at some period in our lives have had to endure a conflict, a confrontation or a wrestle of some sort either to hold our ground or to ensure that we are not worked over by someone who wants to get the better of us. That could be so they get an advantage over us, use us for their own gain or to push us aside so they can claim what is rightfully ours. Knowing their game - for the world is full of the quick and the chancers who will take you down at the first opportunity that they sense a weakness or an opening - is easier for some to spot and resist than others. But at some point in your life you have to rise up to defend, protect and look after yourself so you don't become a habitual victim. Having some self-respect that refuses to be violated is essential to survival and the sooner the good, the pure, the innocent and the naive take that on for themselves the better.
