- THE IMPORTANCE OF MAKING SACRIFICES -

... At some point in our lives, we have to make sacrifices. It could be a compromise so that things work out fine, the giving up of something for a much better gain in the long run - or perhaps to portray yourself as a selfless person hoping for an honorable reputation. The word sacrifice prompts us to think of a selfless act, but as we can see, that is not always the case. Sacrificing is not always righteous or noble. It can be self-serving. Or simply necessary for life to run smoothly. Nor does it have to be for a big principle, it may be for small, immediate circumstances. Of course, altruistic sacrificing, where one gives in a selfless act their time, resources, and in extreme cases their life so that others may gain is the ultimate sacrifice. A wise man once said that death (selfless acts) works in us so that life works in others. No matter the circumstances or motive for sacrificing, that principle holds true. Sacrificing aims to produce a much better outcome moving forward than what the present may offer. Keith and Lee discuss.
